I've seen some people want Slenderman for some reason.

I don't see how a single bit of Slenderman could possibly fit into DBD. There's no found footage motive. Slenderman itself does not actually kill people, but just messes with people's minds and gets crap done through proxies and "infects" people with... something.

Slenderman doesn't even walk; just teleports everywhere. At worst, it transports people around and takes them... somewhere, usually for a while. It doesn't go around murdering people willy-nilly. If it did, it couldn't spread its infection.

Even Slenderman's map would be... what? Another Sheltered woods?

And how would you avoid looking at him lol, dbd requires you to look at the killer frequently to last long in chases. His power would be pretty boring too.

  • Well you got your wish. They delayed the challenge changes just like they delay everything else.

And it isn't that the challenges are hard, its that they're extremely grindy. And a few of them are 100% luck-based, like the last minute hero challenge.

Why does this community complain so much? They're fixing an issue that the majority of players wanted fixed. They aren't gonna listen to one person's view. Accept it and move on.

  • @Carlosylu said:

Ok, lets start to know how picky is our community? This post does not intend for you to critisize the things I complain about, this means for you to share what gets on your nerves and you believe should be changed.

Survivors: I hate when they find a key in a chest and get my 4k doomed out of luck, if you brought it in I can somehow try to outplay you (no Franklins), but getting them out of luck is pure BS. I don't want keys nerfed or taken off the game.

Killers: Ebony should activate once all survivors get hooked at least once or instead of death hook only, I don't mind tunneling as long as I get my 3 hooks, getting tunneled and insta dying after 1st hook is just annoying. I do enjoy the adrenaline of looping a tunneler if I get my 3 chases.

Those are all my complains on both roles. Yes, I don't mind NOED, Ruin, camping, tunneling, flashlight saves, BT, Forever Freddy, DS, pink addons, etc. I believe people who complain about this things I just mentioned just ain't experienced enough to know how to outplay people who use those perks, addons, etc.

Killer: ruin getting found in .4 seconds and then getting gen rushed

Survivor: having teammates that go down in 3 seconds and dc or kill themselves on hook

  • For real, the perk is already super situational and adding a cooldown just makes it more worthless than it already is.

I do like the Oni tho. Already saved a mil to split between the killer and the survivor.

Most of the less performing killers need small tweaks that could be done relatively fast. The dev team could still do reworks if they chose to but these fixes could be done without much effort and implemented almost immediately.

Trapper - carry an extra trap on base kit.

Wraith - reappear speed and movement speed while cloaked adjusted slightly.

Nurse - reduce the cooldown of her power down to 2 seconds at base and see how that does.

Doctor - increase the base range of shock therapy and increase the amount of time you can't vault from getting shocked slightly. ( would make him more counter loop)

Demogorgon - let him set endless portals and make the last one set disappear (like hag)

Freddy - give him a slight slowdown when putting down pools of blood or placing pallets ( like oni collecting blood)

    Spirit - nothing yet

Billy - he's pretty balanced tbh

Ghostface - fix the way he is broken out of his power on both sides.

Leatherface - reduce the slowdown he gets from charging his chainsaw (make it like billy) and make the 5th hit on his swing actually do damage.

Myers - slightly decrease the time to get out of ew1.

Pig - crouch and uncrouch speed increased and movement speed while crouched increased.

Plague - I'm not sure, there needs to be more incentive to cleanse. I dont know an easy fix for this one.

Legion - they already increased his FF movement speed and vault speed in ptb but made him old legion with new undetectable on perks.. idk an easy fix. They also nerfed some of his slowdown be reducing mend.. and nerfed his stbfl and sloppy butcher strat... r.i.p.

Just some simple solutions I think could be implemented fairly easily and quickly.

For Plague they could implement a new status effect that slows your repair speed down over time. Maybe 5 percent slower every minute or so. Up to the devs on the exact percentages.

I just got dead by daylight around two months ago now, and I feel I've gotten pretty damn good at it. I watch a ton of videos to learn new, and master preexisting techniques and strategies. I am just curious to hear what different peoples' opinions are for liking different killers. Personally, I like Wraith, Legion and Clown. Wraith, because he is a very straightforward and easy to master killer, Legion because playing him forces me to go for perfect games (sort of a go big or go home type killer to me), and Clown because he is really easy for me. I am rank 10 or so in both killer and survivor and I want to keep trying to get better at this game, because I have grown passionate about it. Bill is the best survivor btw :))))

Welcome to DBD! Been playing since release, so my opinion is a little biased but I like to play the Trapper. Favorite survivor is definitely Bill as well, though.

Enjoy the game and the "super nice" community we have to offer!

tip for survivor adepts: get out

tip for killer adepts: *error, can not be done because the achievement is ######### impossible*

Honestly lol you have to play with such ######### perks and are expected to double pip

  • @Stornt said:

My advice for survivors is to try your best and shift up how you're playing if the perks call for it.

Killers on the other hand have a much rougher time and I hardly bother with it unless it's rank reset or I'm in the mood for giving it a couple shots.

How should I play as Nea? Perks are sort of all over the place.

Am quite interested to see what the new challenges are.

Repair 25 generators? Catch 6 people in bear traps in one match?

It going to have a big bearing on how much further I will be able to go in the rift...

They get more annoying as they go lol.

Level 4 is gonna be a fun one.

  • @Miss_Yuma said:

I think alot of people can agree that keys and mori’s in their current state are pretty broken and unfun to go against. So here are my ideas on how to rework both of them.

    Keys:

once the survivor holding the key gets hit by a basic attack X amounts of times, that key becomes broken and is unable to unlock black locks.

i’m thinking it will be 2 hits for green keys, 4 for purple keys and 6 for pink keys. There should also be add-on’s that can increase the durability with the max being 2

    Mori’s:

    yellow mori:

allows you to kill 1 survivor who’s on their final hook

    green mori:

allows you to kill all survivors who are on their final hook

    pink mori:

allows you to kill 1 survivor who has been hooked once

Let me know what you think of these changes.

I'd change the key so that it only lets the key holder escape, and only if the killer closed it previously.

I like the more changes though.

I base this tier list off the killers raw power so no add-ons are perks were included in this. And remember this is my personal opinion so it might be a little bit biased.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/898/6YB6XFQEH5HY.png

Good list, but I'd move Ghostface up to S. The new way Tru3 showed on playing Ghostface to help in chases is making people better with him. I think Plague should be in A as well. With or without cleansing, you'll go down easy in chases.

    Freddy-

Freddy has no counter-play for any of his powers. You cannot interact with any of his powers in order to give Survivors a way to counter his abilities. When Freddy uses his dream snares he has no cool down or slowdown when putting them down. This almost always guarantees a free hit or down when trying to loop him. Also if you choose o disable the snares he gets a notification and can put them down again immediately. Then with his Dream Pallets, survivors can put them down, although similar to his snares he can put them back up almost immediately. While as a survivor you can remember where real pallets are, this is a unrealistic expectation for an entire team to do. Ways to provide counter play for survivors would be to give a cool down on his abilities for 20 seconds for each use. Also for his teleport make to so he has to commit to teleporting it and can't cancel it, giving survivors more options for counter-play. Another option for counter-play would be taking out the timer for the dream state and make Freddy have to manually put survivors into it. This would give survivors ways to counter his Swing Chains add-ons. Also a small quality of life change would be when survivors are put into the dream state and miss skill checks to wake themselves up, Freddy doesn't gain a notification, this would give survivor play styles more options for counter-play while still punishing them for failing.

    Ghostface-

Ghostface and his Night Shroud ability is one of the best stealth abilities in the game, with no down sides. He has power creeped almost every other stealth killer in the game. He also has no down side when being broken out of his ability. Also with the broken reveal mechanic with his power when he leans around a corner makes him uncounterable. Ways to give survivors a counter to his power would be to make the reveal mechanic actually work when a survivor looks at him. Also since he has no warning before he strikes unlike Wraith they should either give Ghostface a warning sound or something before he attacks or give him 110% movement speed. Also another quality of life change would to give his addons that give his power a faster recharge rate a slight nerf.

These killers don't need nerfs. They're 2/5 of competent killers in high ranks. Only thing that needs changing is the reveal mechanic for Ghostface. Too inconsistent; you could be staring at him square in the face and it won't reveal, and other times you reveal him without even knowing where he is.

  • Hawkins is a guaranteed death for survivors lol.

You may want to grasp that survivors are also trying to do the rift challenges, and some of these have to be done in a single trial. So you may be facing a suvrivor who has trying to do "heal two health states with botany knowledge and a med kit". It doesnt help that the challenge has to be done using a med kit the entire time either. I mean it sounds easy doesnt it? But its not. I have used 8 medkits so far and the best I got was two heals and the second one the med kit ran out of charges so it didnt count. We are not allowed to DC, we are frowned on for suiciding on the hook. But next time look to see if the survivors are doing crazy stuff in a match, then see if you can help .

That challenge doesn't require you to heal from 0% to 100%. Just did it today, all you have to do is top the heal off using the medkit as long as Botany is equipped. Same concept goes for the Dark Senses challenge. Good luck homie.

Not what I'm suggesting. I'm saying when ALL remaining survivors are downed they can all vote to surrender.

In your scenario the 4th survivor is still up, so they wouldn't be able surrender.

Ah my bad. I agree with this, saves a lot of time for the survivors and the killer alike.

  • Works unless killer slugs for hatch. Basically gives the unslugged survivor a free escape.

My suggestion is when the slugged survivor surrenders, they exit the game, but leave a "husk" behind in place of where they were slugged. The slug can move to the next game without having to waste 3 minutes crawling around, and the game can continue for the 4th survivor and the killer.

  • I wrap an invisible bandage around myself constantly while being hunted by an insane maniac with a chainsaw. Normal occurrence, happens most days.

  • Tier 36, been busy with school and haven't really had that much time to grind this life-consuming pass. Unfortunately.

  • 1) Sprint Burst: it's so good for escaping unsafe areas, with the only drawback having to walk more than normal.

    2) Adrenaline: it's saved me so many times because I always get chased

    3) Lithe: good when you combo it with Dance with Me

    4) Dead Hard: good for extending loops which is lifesaving for people like me that get chased a lot

    5) Head On: the potential for saving teammates outweighs how situational it is

    6) Balanced Landing: I've just never liked this perk, never get the chance to use it before getting cucked

  • The PTB just came out. It's been less than a day, and even then he's already better than most other killers excluding spirit.

  • Balanced Landing isn't getting nerfed into the ground. They're only removing when you get no stagger reduction if you're exhausted. It's the same perk but you can't infinite on Haddonfield anymore.

  • Thought this was gonna be stupidly hard, but completed it on my first attempt. Went in with a friend, a yellow box, Dark Sense, and Bond. Popped 3 gens while the Hag chased our randoms. Little bit of luck was involved here because they got chased for a while.

  • Currently Tier 30 on the rift, about 9 challenges into level 2 of the tome.

I've been confused on the dark senses challenge as I haven't attempted it yet. Do you have to repair the gens from 0% to 100% with Dark Sense or just be on it when it completes?

  • You can pull them off exit gates for an easier time instead of trying to get a gen or window grab. Good luck!
