As someone who never even used it anyway, no.

Survivor: *Presses a button on their keyboard 2 times allowing the killer to catch up faster
Killer: "Your free trial of life has expired."
-
I myself, an optimist, am slowly losing more and more hope as well. But this one was a big oof.
-
Having the current DS base kit is not what is needed. That would be just another band-aid fix and a 5th perk for killers they would have to worry about, not to mention how powerful that would be in the endgame.

I feel that map designs is a double edged sword because if you redesign maps, S - A tier killer's (Such as Nurse and the Yamaoka family) would become too powerful
If we ever get to a point where the devs actually start to balance maps though, they will also have to balance killers as well. Killers are another thing that needs changes in the future.
-
His aesthetic is definitely like a 9/10 for me, the only reason he is not a 10 is that he is just a Lil bit too flashy, maybe a little darkness to him could work.
Gameplay-wise he is a 2/10. He can definitely reworked to be fun and strong, but we all know that'll take some time. And by some time, I mean a really long time if ever.
-
Making a perk that directly counters one of a few other meta perks for survivors on the killers side is not what is needed. I shouldn't as a killer have to run a perk that counters another when used for distance close to me. It still wouldn't solve the problem.
-
None, adding more time to generators is not what is needed. It is mainly map design and perks which allow the survivors to waste a huge amount of the killers time, sometimes more than there should be.

I would say that this chapter problems (Trickster being probably the worst killer in the game) was more a result of the devs being oblivious to his viability, instead of a technical difficulty caused by corona. If they came buggy as Twins and Plague originally were, I would understand as a pandemic thing. However, since his problems are all relatable to balance issues, I imagine that this was caused by them only, specially after the PTB and everyone giving feedback that he was not ok.
I honestly think corona is a big part of the reason he is so bad, same for the twins. But another possible reason could be because they are not giving themselves enough time. A binding of kin only came out 3 months ago, that isn't a very long time to fully work on a killer when they also have to rework maps graphically among a few other things.

I get that we are in pandemic but when you have several hundred people working on one game how are you getting content that is almost worse than old freddy.
Like why did they bother putting out a ptb the best changes were number tweaks to killers that weren't about this chapter
Rember when they slightly listened to our feedback with spirit what happened to that
Exactly, 600 people work on this game. That is 600 people who all are struggling with the pandemic as well. Each of them has to pull their own weight and deal with this game which is a mess. 600 people is hard to coordinate right now.

Like I said above... If making the obsession spawn every game is too much, at least make the other "solution" BT at least more viable.
BT is already very strong, just because one perk got nerfed doesn't mean another should be buffed.

You lost me at BT needing a buff.

I would let it slide but it's been 6 months without a decent update
And 6 months is more than enough time to get a efficent way of communicating set up so no I'm not gonna let it slide.
My only exception is the new people and the art team at behavior they do great almost every time
But we are in a pandemic and have no idea what is going on with BHVR. I know it has been said before, but maybe we should just deal with this for now. As far as we know, BHVR is struggling just like a lot of other people. We have been in this pandemic for over 6 months.

Don’t forget soul guard IF the Killer slugs you.
I guess it could work, but slugging is different than tunneling. Killers would most likely not slug you unless they are hardcore tunneling, even then they might just pick you up anyways.

I have been here pretty much the whole day, taking breaks here and there, and I still have not seen a single person say "Run DS".

A perk shouldn't be required to be able to play the game.

Feel like you’re only saying this because it was a meme that Clown was bad. Clown is alright now and definitely way better than Trickster. You will definitely not being getting away from a good Clown on shorter loops even if you drop the pallet early. Chill out on the ScottJund with the “drop pallets early completely counter kill ez” because it just simply isn’t true. You can’t even catch up to competent survivors for long enough to actually get any value from your power.
Really wanna see your Trickster gameplay because your comments are kinda yikes. Maybe you’re just better than all of us at Trickster? I don’t think so when the vast majority of people are saying that he is leagues worse than the worst killers.
Ok well, I already changed my mind about Trickster about 2 hours ago btw, if you were actually reading my comments like you said you did have realized this.
Also, your comment about me having to chill out with Scott was random, it is a very known fact that Clown can be countered easily by dropping pallets early, or not playing greedy. What is a clown supposed to do if you drop a pallet at a long-wall jungle gym? His "rework" was very underwhelming and is the second-worst killer in the game.

Going to have to agree with everybody else here and say Clown is a million times better than Trickster for obvious reasons. Here's why:
- Main point: Clown gets an early pallet drop and can either break it or use his bottles to get a hit looping around it. He can also prevent survivors from holding W after a pallet drop with his bottles, slowing them down in the process. Trickster on the other hand usually doesn't get an early pallet drop and has to deal with survivors either looping him around it with his 110% movement speed or dropping it early and crouching behind objects as well as just running away entirely with no slowdown compared to Clown.
- Extras: Clown has a reload on him while Trickster has to actively search for a locker. Not to mention, most people can dodge Tricksters knives even in an open area compared to Clown, whos power is much harder to dodge and can actually be used to push survivors into a deadzone.
Both of these killers lack one thing -- mobility. Even with Clowns new bottles, I'd say he's just as weak as Trickster when it comes down to it. With that being said, they need to be superior in chase, and there's no doubt in my mind that Clown will down somebody much faster than Trickster.
Maybe actually now that I look at it more, his ability in tiles can be very easily countered by any good survivor almost completely and be disabled, not to mention how when he holds up his knives he loses distance on them. He is also a 110% killer which is a big deal. Wow, what a poorly designed killer.
-
Now that is just sad.
-
I don't understand the hate people are dishing out. I get it, another bad killer but is it really worth it to lash out?
I am only disappointed and will probably never really play the killer, but you don't see me coming out with hateful threads about him.

I 100% disagree. Clown has mobility and slowdown going for him. Trickster is slow and inaccurate. Sure it can injure them, but I’ll get two hooks with clown before you even finish getting them down with trickster lol
Gonna have to disagree with your disagreement. Clown most definitely does not have mobility and which sort of slowdown? The 10% of speed he gets for using his bottles is pitiful when used for mobility. Wraith's speed while cloaked before was 126% at base, that is only 11% more than 115%, the average mms for killers. Because of that, he was extremely weak at base. 125% movement speed, when used for mobility, is terrible for traversing maps and only makes a difference in chases around small structures.
The trickster can use his power to injure survivors and then use his m1. Clown has to use his power to help him possibly get an m1 hit on the survivors. His power also takes quite a bit of skill to aim because of the recoil, you can definitely learn how to control it.
The trickster can injure survivors with his power, but Clown can't. The only strength of Clown is his ability to get hits in places where other killers can't due to his tonic and antidote bottles, but that is it, and he can do absolutely nothing around decently strong pallets being thrown down early.

Clown is way better than this trash can of a killer.
At least clown gets the pallet early. Trickster gets looped for 3 years while they try to build up laceration and then they either get the pallet thrown if the survivor is injured or the survivor gets injured and then runs away because Trickster has to build it up again to finally down the survivor
Clown gets pallets down early, but he gets no hits and lacks even less pressure when he can't hit you. The trickster is not as bad because he can still do something in a chase.
At unsafe loops with low enough objects, the trickster is actually strong on them because he can easily throw knives over the structure. Clown has to mindgame to potentially get a hit.
-
I am sure he is still pretty much the same, the mms buff was definitely a nice one and just because he has a shorter post cloak lunge doesn't mean he is worse. Although, the lunge change is weird.

If a survivor uses a syptic agent and a dead hard yea ill pay you five bucks and I want it on video.
It was an exaggeration (it has happened to me though), but giving survivors the ability to all have an extra health state even for a short time is pretty overpowered.
I think this idea would be better if it provided some other useful utility, rewarding survivors for completing gens or totems.

Okay, so why are you shocked about a third health state? Borrowed time has 15 instead of 10 seconds of endurance so-
Because BT only procs on unhooking, I still have another survivor I can choose to chase.
Imagine chasing a survivor who already used a styptic and dead hard in a chase only for their teammate to use this perk perfectly timed because they are on comms. Then multiply this times 4. It also works when you cleanse a totem, so if you cleanse one at a time that is 5 times this perk could proc in a match, but by the time you use it twice or three times the game will be over already.

Sorry but clown is 100x better than trickster
Like I said, all you have to do against Clown is pre-throw the pallet and he gets nothing. The trickster can still piece together hits in a chase and over a pallet.
-
This would be too strong and definitely still abusable with a SWF squad. Giving survivors a 3rd health state is a very scary thing to do.

I'm telling you that Clown is WAY better than Trickster could ever dream of
Dropping a pallet early on Clown deprives him of a hit, trickster can still throw knives at the survivor who just did.

@PlaysByShady said:
How is it a mind game though if a spirit knows pretty much everything you are doing when you don't know where she is or what she is doing? You are just going to guess where she is or what she is doing, if you get it right that is still not counterplay, you just got lucky.
Because the Spirit has to take the gamble that you're going to run back toward her, rather than running away and making distance which would be more detrimental because of her slow speed and the fact that she can't see you as soon as she starts the phasing process, despite not being able to move for a second or so. She's taking a gamble, and the survivor takes a gamble. It's a mind-game.
And the gamble is always in the survivor's favour if they just make distance, hence the idea that Spirit has no counter-play is just nonsense.
And it's not luck, because it's a situation the Spirit engineered. Luck is if the Spirit was randomly running around and someone ran into her.
Mind games are when both sides are on the same playing field so to speak.
And they are on the same field - you're literally making no sense. They have the same terrain and obstacles.
The spirit is in full control of what happens
She's not in control of the survivor's actions. She's hopeful the survivor will turn back, but that's not a guarantee. Very often nothing happens, and the Spirit ends up having to phase (in which case good Spirits vs bad survivors can usually recover).
When phasing she is not mindgaming a survivor, she is not capitalizing on the survivors mistake either because they can't really do anything.
They absolutely can! They can play pallets and windows, and they can stop, crouch, etc.
Seriously, you really don't know what you're talking about... and it seems you project a lot. You're either really bad against Spirit (and project that onto other survivors, thus presuming everyone is bad and therefore counter-play does not exist), or you're an amazing Spirit - even better than Samantha - to the point where you believe all Spirit players are on the same level.
The spirit doesn't take a gamble, she just has to hear the survivor moving. No matter what, a survivor will make noise, even with iron will. She has your scratch marks, breathing, noise from your groans of pain, and footsteps to listen to. If the survivor makes distance, it is because the spirit messed up and allowed them to make distance. This is in the spirit's favor because she goes really fast while phasing so unless they were already far enough. If they get lucky and sneak away then it is the spirit's fault for messing up, that is still not counterplay either way because the survivor just guessed what she was going to do correctly.
When I said "on the same playing field", I meant equal opportunity to mindgame the other based on previous actions and reads.
She may not be in full control of what happens, but she is definitely has a huge advantage over survivors, to the point where it is almost guaranteed you will take a hit depending on the spirit's skill.
Playing pallets, windows, stopping mid-sprint, and other strategies are not going to work all that well against a spirit who knows what she is doing. It just makes it harder for spirit to play against them since she will have to react and think quickly. Also, what is stopping or crouching going to do for a survivor even with iron will? They will just be stuck there while the spirit un-phases, sees them, and hits them.
Bad spirit's are the reason people think she has counterplay, she doesn't.
-
Clown is still weaker, at least Trickster has some lethality on loops with gaps.
-
It has been around since the graphical updates.
I noticed that my FPS usually drops after gens start to be done on the reworked mapes like autohaven and macmillian.
i guess the optimization has just gotten worse.

Windows even with bamboozle still counter his chainsaw though. On a map like lery's or autohaven you are going to have a rough time since there are plenty of windows for survivors to use. He unlike billy doesn't have map control which is actually a really big deal. being able to get across the map and scare survivors off of generators is a huge deal, more than you probably think. He also has his chainsaw to use in a chase and unless the survivor is good, you will be able to curve around obstacles and down survivors.
-
A shadow of what he used to be.
