Sure thing! I'll be sure to do that every single match from now on and wondering if Il'll even safety pip because half or more of my time every match was spent totem hunting and cleansing.......
I will admit it is not my favorite perk either, but there are things you can do to help.
Using maps with the glass bead can help you find them much faster and maybe your teammates will even do it. Also, rank doesn't mean too much, so it doesn't really matter if you pip or not. Cleansing totems just walking around is also a good strat assuming you are not time-constrained. If one perk that isn't common has ruined the game for you, you probably aren't even that invested in it. You don't have to throw the game looking for it, just be smart with your time.
-
Agreed, I made a post about this a little over a week ago. It is stupid honestly.
-
Then do bones if you hate it so much?
-
I still love the game and absolutely hate it at the same time. I will be playing this game for a long time, it's somehow my favorite game despite the BS that is in it.

Better than seeing Hag Completely naked...
We at least can only see bones, nothing else. She is just built like an old hag without any meat.
-
I would rather not see deathslinger, a 50-year-old lookin man, half naked.
-
Bc I performed a perfect flashlight save.
I was tunneled the rest of the game but still escaped.
The killer's response was "flipping survivor main being a toxic pos as usual"
Me: "For saving my teammate?"
Killer: "yea also known as being a duckhead, *n word"
The killer then left, this was back when the killer leaving the endgame chat would disable the chat.
-
I play very 50/50, it is fun since I am playing all of what the game has to offer. I like switching from side to side. It is also funny because if someone insults me saying "YoU aRe a kIllEr/sUrVivor mAin, TyPiCal" to something I did I can always say "Well, actually..."
-
It looks like you just tried to blind a little too early, blight's pickup animation is very weird and confusing sometimes.

Psychological effect? Maybe so on lower ranks, but in the higher ranks killers can slug those who have ds and then chase another, creating more pressure on survs. As a part-time killer myself, this approach works. Dunno why DS needed a nerf, it was balanced as it is.
Slugging the survivors instead of being able to hook them was huge though, slugging because a survivor had DS is still more beneficial to them because that is a hook state you miss out on while they can work on objectives.

sounds pretty similar to all the other exhaustion perks haha git gud
Yeah, I guess since survivors pressed a button on their keyboard I should be playing better smh.
And dead hard is the least situational perk btw, you can use it at any time without any other condition other than being injured.

The heal tech revolves around the fact that Killers can't pick up Survivors who are being healed by another Survivor.
What this means is that in an open exit gate, a Survivor can prevent a pick up on a downed teammate and force the Killer to hit them instead. That gives the downed survivor more time to crawl and may result in them getting out when they otherwise wouldn't especially if the whole rest of the team does it.
Oh yeah, lol ik what it is then.
I don't think it is that big of a deal, I am pretty sure it is an intended feature of the game.
-
What is the heal tech?
-
Why didn't I think of that?

Whats wrong with the maps?
They apparently look too old so they are being updated.
-
They are kinda busy with graphically updating the old maps.

DS was never anti-tunnel perk, it is garbage now that's all. Killers keep saying "it is anti-tunnel perk" so lets buff it to make really anti-tunnel perk. Killers will be also happy? Because if they wont tunnel they will not get punish. But first buff.
You are telling me that a perk that discouraged the killer from going after the same survivor being unhooked is not an anti-tunneling perk? It is still useful too btw.
-
I just go UGHHHHH, finish the game, and move on... probably also getting upset the next game lol if so I just play another game for a little while and witch to dbd later.

You kiddin'? Too OP. Coup De Grace should be nerfed in my opinion. Maybe make it so that you gain a token on sacrifice. And the lunge would only be increased by 0%.
In all seriousness, Coup De Grace needs to be 100% again, and lunging while carrying a survivor would be neat too.
I forgot that it even doubled your lunge in the first place.

God, you people ruin the fun out of everything.
I bet you're super popular at parties.
lol
I used to always get annoyed instead of panic because there was a good chance that the killer was coming after me. Now I realize that it is not even that big of a deal.
-
If you think DS is trash now, then you were probably never that good to begin with.

@xcross said:
It was essentially old ruin for them. Old ruin showed a lot players had heavily relied on the perk, but ultimately it was still removed. Of course it resurged with undying but the fact still remains that old ruin was light years stronger then the current one. I suspect that the ds change will remain and we will likely see statistical changes such as kill rates.
Actually, old ruin is weaker than the current one. The old ruin was mostly useless against average to good survivors, it only slowed them down a little bit. The new ruin rewards the killer significantly for pushing survivors off of generators and can completely undo survivor's work on gens.

just run blood echo or dont lunge early
Blood echo is pretty situational and you will get little use out of it most of the time. As the OP said, you can't counter it when it is used for distance.

They haven’t said anything. I’d just like to see it changed/buffed/whatever.
Yeah me 2, among other perks.
-
They were reworking This is not happening?
-
They really should at least have a page in-game going into full detail of what it does to the killers powers, we shouldn't have to figure it out by ourselves.
-
Yeah, they aren't exactly on their best behavior.
-
No, it is in a much better and healthier state now. It is actually still pretty strong in the endgame as well, I think people have yet to realize this. I feel that it is much more fair and can't wait to see how games are without it.
-
P head is awesome and really cool, and same for blight even though he had a rough start.

@Demon_Swords said:
Can you elaborate on what you mean on the lunge changes?
I think I have noticed what you are referring to but the perceived changes aren't mentioned in the patch notes, so I want to know exactly what you mean.
It seems like the post uncloak move-speed or lunging was nerfed. I wasn't sure if that was just an indirect perceptual thing for having been used to the distance survivors would get when you uncloaked before the changes.
(EX: Because you are slower while uncloak now then before, It takes longer to catch-up. Since it takes longer to catch-up it feels like the speed boost post uncloak is less then it should be.)
Just want to confirm that it really is a nerf and that the () scenario is not true.
P.S.: If they did an indirect nerf, does that mean that an add-on less wraith now is worse then a wraith with just yellow windstorms before latest buff.
The post-cloak movement speed lunge was nerfed, so yes the speedy lunge you get right out of uncloaking.
I don't think it is perceptual, people seem to be agreeing otherwise.
I am pretty sure it is a nerf, if not then it might just be a bug.
If this is true then no, Wraith will only be slightly worse than he could have been. The mms increase at base is phenomenal.

I never said to have DS base kit specifically. I'm open to other options.
The game's core design would have to be changed then, but I don't think it is possible to fully get rid of it. I think you can only encourage other playstyles.
-
They are alright, although I am not a fan of the autohaven and clown map rework.
-
I wouldn't say that they need new management... but that would honestly probably help. Path of exile has half the size of a team than BHVR but manages to put out far more content each patch. The longest part of the patches we get are the bug fixes that introduce more bugs that take's months to fix.
-
So the feedback everyone gave on the PTB wasn't enough to stop you from buying the DLC? You've got no one to blame but yourself for this one bub.
-
doubtful
-
Good thing it doesn't mean anything significant.
-
This seems a bit OP wouldn't you say?
Any good survivor can loop most killers for much longer than 24 seconds without getting hit. Even if it works when not in a chase, it would be incredibly powerful. Imagine survivors working on generators while also passively being healed over 24 seconds. They would never need to bring medkits and then instead bring toolboxes while slamming on the generators. This is without other strong perks as well.

It might be good if you play SWF but in solo? LOL
And if you play SWF you probably still gonna have someone run DS to have a obsession rather than this perk.
Solo is bad, but not impossible. You can still use it on a slugged survivor. It is a good perk, just because solo queue can be pretty bad does not mean the perk is. In a SWF obviously, it would be strong due to those survivors being more able to communicate.
In solo queue, you can still use it to your advantage. I don't see how taking pressure off of your team is a bad thing.

@JimbusCrimbus said:
I don't get it. DS is now a *perfectly balanced* and purely anti tunnel perk...but now it's not good enough anymore.
I'm starting to think being tunneled isn't why people used it. Considering all of it's anti tunnel functionality is 100% intact.
Survivors used it because of the protection it gave, not solely for tunneling. I think they used tunneling as an excuse for bringing it.

People in here will tell you it's a good perk cause 99% of them are killer mains. Ofc they want you to run perks like that 😂
It is a good perk. It is strong because you can save someone on death hook, it discourages the killer from pursuing that survivor and if they still do, it will take a while giving the rest of the team more time to finish generators.
It is also very powerful in a slugging situation. If the killer decides to slug a survivor to go down another one, you can quickly run to the downed survivor and use FTP on them. It encourages very altruistic teamplay and can save people in really bad situations.
-
@GoshJosh said:
Oh sure! Let me trade a health state with another survivor.. as long as I'm healthy.. and suffer a freakin' minute and a half+ self-inflicted broken status.
As I said, it can keep your team alive faster. The point is to take pressure off of your teammates.
-
@UMCorian said:
I'm glad the perk exists as it's an interesting option... but in solo play, For The People is a great way to make sure you have very fast losses as a Survivor. Getting next to someone being tunneled, injuring yourself and applying Broken to yourself for 90 seconds is a great way to become the new tunnel victim.
It also doesn't do much in a true tunneling situation, as the killer won't let up on your target long enough to even stand still for the 1 second you need to use it.
Hardcore tunnelers are few and far in between though. Obviously, it will suck in comparison to DS, but FTP helps your team live longer which helps you live longer. I would recommend running it if you are good at looping.
-
It is annoying, but it does not make him unplayable lmao.
