Subnautica... because you have to say goodbye to this little fella:
He is literally your only friend.

idk, with the RNG to maps maybe there could be values set to structures that could tell the game's system that this area is too strong and give it something weaker to balance all parts of the map. It would be hard to make, but hey more balance right?

I dont believe so. If this was true then for killer you would only see spirit and nurse, but you dont, you see a variety of killers played.
It still adds in a whole slew of other balancing issues though, there would still be a tier list to survivors. Besides, survivors do just fine without passive abilities, and I don't think they really need them to be unique either.

Then give him addons that are actually useful.

First time i agree with Tony. Trapper needs love. He is so alone. Buff him and make this sad boy happy.
I agree, he needs buffs. The community also seems to agree as well, and his suggested buffs are extremely simple but helpful. Like the most confusing thing to when they last touched trapper was why did they make his RNG "fixed"? Seriously, just make it take 10 seconds to get out of a trap at base. That's it, his power would immediately become much more consistent, and that is just one idea I have for him.

This is why the devs should stop listening to all and only killer mains. Killer mains have a strict definition that only facecamping and downing at the hook and picking back up is tunneling. But that is far from the truth. Right now, it is neither an anti-tunnel perk or a decisive strike.
Not a killer main, I'm a 50/50 player lol
Here is some of my survivor gameplay as proof, something you fail to provide in most to all of your threads:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMSyE7gxc8g&ab_channel=YordsNot an anti-tunnel hmm? Well then explain to me how a perk that discourages the killer from going after the same survivor is not an anti-tunneling perk.
Checkmate, sluzzy.
-
No, it would create another whole huge balancing issue and also a tier list for survivors, meaning you would only see one or a few different survivors over others.
-
ugh another one of these
-
I know it is very trivial, but seriously, why the heck did they nerf his booty?
-
NOED...
oh wait I meant starstruck
-
If you are doing any of what you listed, you aren't being tunneled so DS should not be up.

That’s kinda how you loop deathslinger and clown but that isn’t fun at all, it’s very boring and very easy to do. They should make him more like huntress by not making him more punished for missing but giving survivors more counterplay.
Is he not already punished enough for missing? If he misses his POTD attack then you can just make distance on him. Looping is also very boring for a killer too, especially when against good survivors.
-
Making it easier to loop pyramid head would just make him more like an m1 killer.
Looping should not be the only thing a survivor can do to run the killer around, you can play against him by leaving areas earlier and pre dropping pallets.
-
He just looks cleaner and his hair looks much better. Meg's was good, but hers could use just a few tweaks on her face.

Having your perks just completely disabled through no fault of your own doesn't mean you don't understand how to play.
You're going back and forth now. First you said he'd be weak without his cages. Now he'd be strong. Now he'd be strong but everyone else would be weak. Pick one.
What you said was "Survivors could just go in the general area of where the hooked survivor would appear and almost instantly save." What's wrong with saving someone instead of letting them go through hook states? Are survivors not allowed to save people anymore?
What I meant by people not knowing how to play against him, and anyone who complains about him disabling unhooking perks doesn't really know how to play against him. If you do, then you realize how this isn't nearly as bad. All you have to do is go for a safe rescue.
I said killers in general would be weaker with this, I said pyramid head would not be the weakest even without his cages.
My statement about how survivors could go for really quick to instantaneous saves, I meant that the killer would get very little pressure, it doesn't make sense. I fail to understand how you got the idea that I don't want survivors to save people anymore, I merely said that it would be detrimental to killers as a whole.
Actually now that I think of it, since the motivation for this idea was to prevent unhooking in front of your face (favorable to the killer btw) this whole idea would really suck for killers. It would make splitting up on gens even more powerful because now the killer can't choose where to hook survivors, they would always spawn far away which is most likely close to another survivor (solo) on a gen. The survivor could then save the hooked guy, and then immediately heal or split up, all while the other two survivors are on gens.
This whole idea you have here is a nerf to all killers while also making pyramid head less unique.

PH cannot cage survivors whenever he wants. They must be tormented.
The disabling of unhooking perks is largely seen as broken by the community and frowned upon.
If you're now saying that PH wouldn't be the weakest killer, then surely this hook change wouldn't be bad for killers.
The point of the "not a free kill" comment was due to you acting as if you're supposed to always get kills on first/second hook.
Well obviously they have to be tormented first, but afterwards they can't really get rid of it.
The disabling of unhooking perks is not broken and is frowned upon only by people who don't understand how to play against this killer very well.
Just because Pyramid head would not be the weakest does not even mean in the slightest that other killers would be fine.
And just how was I acting like I am always supposed to get kills on the first second hook? I was implying how little pressure killers would get from hooking survivors in your idea.

You say it takes away the uniqueness from PH and then also say that it would be detrimental to killers. By that logic, PH must be the worst killer in the game.
Also, hooking someone that isn't on death hook isn't supposed to be a free kill.
No actually, the difference is that pyramid head can cage survivors who are downed whenever he wants, what you are suggesting would make it work every time you hook a survivor as any killer. He also has the benefit of disabling any unhooking perks for survivors and can do this in 3 seconds.
What's funny is that even without his cages, p head would not be the weakest killer in the game.
Also, hooking someone that isn't on death hook isn't supposed to be a free kill
So what was the point of this comment exactly?
-
That would take away the uniqueness from pyramid head and be detrimental to killers. Survivors could just go in the general area of where the hooked survivor would appear and almost instantly save.
-
This is not a thing, idk why people seem to think this.
-
The only problem I really have with new billy is hitting survivors up close with the chainsaw. With the garbage FPS I have a lot of the time it makes it really hard, and even without it being bad it is STILL hard for me to hit them. I feel like I hit ones I shouldn't and hit ones I should, it is incredibly frustrating.
-
He no longer looks like a homeless man.
-
He is meh, but by no means OP. With his buffs, he is much better, but he is still just Wraith. He is still countered by pallets and windows very easily.

It's more 50/50. You're sticking in a certain bubble. Most people thought Trickster was bad and he got released. Don't know what you're expecting from BHVR.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/246887/iron-will-and-lucky-break
People already do that all the time, just giving survivors more reason to use the combo lol. Thanks though, I know to run Distortion/Calm Spirit now too lol.
Thing is trickster IS bad lol
-
I like how you just completely ignore everything on the other side.
Killer players have to deal with things like SWF groups, weaker killers, and poor map design.
I am amazed that you are able to play this game considering how much you criticize it lol

@NomiNomad said:
Because it's not a very effective anti-tunneling tool.
A killer who is actually tunnelling won't give a single ######### about a five second stun.
It definitely needed the nerf imo but I always wanted it's anti-tunnel buffed. The fear and free progression was Old DS's power, never the stun. Now the stun is all it has.
Just how strong should an anti-tunnel perk be? Should it completely remove tunneling a survivor, or at least heavily discourage it?
-
I play nurse without addons most of the time, and I can say for sure that she by far is not the weakest killer in the slightest without addons.
-
The thing with spirit is that I can't tell if she is op or not. If she is played by someone who has a good headset, it doesn't matter if you have iron will because you are screwed. On average though, she can be somewhat dealt with.
She has no counterplay, but her power is not necessarily OP because it still has a cooldown. Now nurse on the other hand, lol SHE is OP.
She definitely needs a nerf, or better yet a rework that is well-done. I don't want a repeat of freddy's rework, I want a rework that makes spirit have counterplay, still strong, and overall fun to play. But this is just a dream honestly...
-
The nerf to OoO is literally one of the most deserved nerfs in the game. If you can't understand, then you have failed to understand the game lol.
-
@psionic said:
You're not supposed to loop a Spirit for 5 gens like Legion, just accept it.
Yeah let me just play against a killer with no counterplay who can down me in under 30 seconds each chase who is also very boring and takes little skill to play (this is her without addons btw, she becomes borderline unstoppable with them).

Crazy how nobody complained about this perk for like 2/3 years and now it's talked about daily as being an issue.
People have been complaining about this perk for a very long time.
-
It is just a terribly designed perk, a band-aid fix for a time when generators got done very quickly. I think it should be reworked to not be a hex, but reward killers for doing well throughout the match.
-
It really isn't... but at the same time it is lol
I always play solo and I have to say it does suck and definitely needs a tune up, but for the most part it is definitely playable.
Super simple things like a totem counter would go a long way.

I have never seen anyone say oni, hag, or billy is op or needs nerfs. Freddy definitely deserved the nerf so don’t complain about him and nurse is just as problematic as wraith if not more because even if you are not in a dead zone you are still going down.
Freddy does deserve some sort of rework, but if you think he deserved the nerf you are mistaken. His nerfs aren't even going to fix what is wrong with him either lol.

Nurse, Spirit, Freddy and Oni my top 4. Wraith is rare for me, i am usually facing with this top 4
I honestly barely get any of those when playing survivor.

With Oni you feel like an almighty god that can not be stopped if given the opportunity to snowball unless they have unbreakable smh
With Plague, I honestly feel that she is fun and people underestimate her. She can also snowball very quickly and is actually somewhat fun to play.
-
Yeah, I honestly have no idea why this isn't already a thing.

I like it here, sucks that I was jailed though and it upset me a bit for what I did, it wasn't even bad. But anyway I like it here, I like talking to people about DBD, and I like interacting with the community. I wish I came here sooner honestly, a few people I liked before have been banned from the forums which kinda sucks since I have no way to contact them now. I really don't want to get banned either.
It is just fun interacting with a part of the community this way, to cure my boredom. I like the people here who can actually have a genuine conversation too. I also plan to be around here a while as well, and I like to think of myself as one of the more known forum members (I think? There are people with like 10000 posts on here like jeez).
So tl;dr I like it here because it is fun, entertaining, I get to talk to decent folk, and I like just talking about the game and participating in debates; I don't plan to leave anytime soon.

No counterplay?
- Be more aware of your surroundings like against any stealth killer
- When you hear the bell, use a pallet or window or prepare to use one
- Loop him as you would any other m1 killer
- If using bone clapper, then always be on the lookout the second you hear the bell and get into a safer spot if you can
Pig but better?
I guess you could say that. But the devs have mentioned that they will work on pig after demo or whoever. However no, it does not always work on "most" pallets, if the survivor is good it will not work on any decently safe tile such as the car loops in autohaven. Besides, he still has to uncloak and a survivor can just run to another tile closeby to avoid the hit.
Addons
I will admit his bone clapper is incredibly strong (his second best addon and should be on very rare rarity), but the coutnerplay is the same. When you hear the bell get into a safer spot.
Proxy camping
It doesn't really matter all that much, BT is getting a buff too. No he does not need 110% mms either, that would kill him.
He is still very much balanced. It sounds like you are still just a noob.
-
@Firellius said:
Wraith needs no further buffs. A permanent 160 killer that can burst up to 172.5 and that comes with near perfect invis really shouldn't get boosted too much further. He should be weak in chase and loop, because his first hit is almost impossible to avoid.
Wraith is literally old Wraith, the counterplay is still the same. And he gets up to 150% mms killer while cloaked btw. He needs buffs if anything since he is still weak.
-
Why is garbage latency still a thing? Why is Haddonfield still a thing? Why is poor optimization still a thing?
cuz bhvr that's why, it makes me sad
-
I have had some weird SWF things happen to me to.
Lately I join a lobby and see a SWF group all with matching names and keys, and cosmetics sometimes (I run into them daily, sometimes 2-4 times in a row). And what they do is just wait until the countdown and then leave, it is really weird.
-
I always play the other once I get tired of one side. It is incredibly unhealthy since it never ends.
