This has happened to me before

Tonight, It happened again. 3 survivors was dead (the third one was in between death/last hook animation), and I was hooking the last one.

He could free himself off of the hook. I waited him to gain control and move a few steps. Hit him. And got a free sprint burst. Then I could hit and kill him (again) after that.

I mean, how fair could this possible be? And if it were next to a hatch, next to a opened exit gate? For how long does one have immunity after kobing?

This time I was not recording the game, unfortunately.

You actually have to wait longre than just a few steps.
    The new system is busted

That's the point, this needs to get FIXED asap!

Dude idk what's going on in your games but I'm getting the complete opposite. I literally unhooked a survivor and before they can even touch the ground and gain full control.... The killer hits them and they get downed instantly, like #########??? What happened to the immunity?

The immunity that they are lacking in your game gets added to ours to balance it out. :P

OP pretty much overrates most killer.

The ONLY one on the A tier list that is on Myers level is Huntress. Doctor is pretty weak. His ability doesn’t really help him in a chase, Doctor is the most overrated killer in the game honestly. Other than that I’d switch Myers and Doctor but your list is pretty accurate.

It might be just my personal preference, because I perform pretty well with Doc. And the main reason for it is that he can actually affect multiple targets with his aura.
Something most other killer are lacking..
My main issue is always how can I get the other of the gens while I chase ONE?
Doc has a solution for that.

    More or less.

No one is saying that about this, stop trying to blame survivors for bugs in the game.

This is a bug, stop making posts about it in General discussion and start actually reporting it every time it happens, this is unintended behaviour.

This "bug" is only in the game, because survivor complained about an issue they actually made up.
For some strange reason, they think they should be invulnerable before they "gain control over their avatar again". Like they get a magical forcefield protecting them mid air. And survivor complaint about these being unfair for so long, that the Devs caved in again.
And guess what, it causes some survivor favoring bugs.
And you wonder that killer player get mad about it?
Not only was the original idea already crap and is again forcing killer to adept and gives survivor just another extra chance on top of all their already existing extra chances and it also created a survivor favoring bug… yay!

    Pretty good job so far.

Just make a secondary rank system that tracks Kills and Escapes. You can hit Rank 1 as Killer or Survivor, but it will keep track of how many Kills you average per game, and how many escapes you have per game.

Match Killers/Survivors with similar Kill/Escape percentage ratios.

    Devs won't do that.
The whole emblemsystem is just a deceptive smokescreen to cover up how bad killer are at getting kills in high ranks.

Perks are NOT about "crutches", they are meant to be a supernatural advantage. Because it is 4 vs ONE.
So the one is meant to have abilities that give him an edge.
Survivor only call it "#########" because they think they should be able to 1 on 1 the killer, but that is not how an asymetrical game should work.

@Wolf74 How would adding one hook break it for the killer? It's only one map, so it's not like a SWF Squad's going to all run Boil Over and burn Coldwind Farm Offerings, knowing that the killer can only hook one of them up there and not all four.

The killer can hook one person up there before the hook breaks (unless they have Hangman's Trick). It'll be up to them to use it wisely, and one hook's better than no hooks.

Because that won't be the way the Devs would fix that.
We had all that with Ironworks before and they did this:

Ok it's obvious that they could take SC out and you lot would still complain about something else being op next. Then it'll be that medkits are op because then the person can just add extra charges onto a high tier medkit. You'll see more Streetwise perk usage then because hey it adds even more bang for the buck then Streetwise will be op.

It's pointless because you'll just find something new to complain about when the real issue isn't the item but your abilities as a killer and not maximizing them. When people can 4k as rank 1 Freddies going full perkless, or Bubba's can 4k it's not because the survivors are potatoes either.

It's because those people playing those killers know their strengths and weaknesses and can maximize them, it's because they know maps and how to play properly. It's because someone like @marth88gaming can take a full perkless killer everyone says is trash and destroy people.

Erm… actually you are describing what survivor player did for the last 2 years.

How the [BAD WORD] did a complaint thread turn into basic math?

It doesn't double the heal time, it adds a -50% penalty when you use the perk. 50% of current base healing is 12 seconds. The upcoming healing changes will make this into 16 seconds.

    So 12 divided by half (6) + base healing stats (12) = Current Self-Care takes 18 seconds.

    16 divided by half (8) + base healing stats (16) = Upcoming Self-Care will take 24 seconds.

I have not tried it myself… and I go straight by the description of it, but if something works at 50% it will take double the time to do it.
It's not "plus 50%", but "it works at 50%".
IF you are right, the description is WRONG.

  • @Boss said:

Healing 1 takes 16 seconds. Applying your logic, that's 32 seconds not on a Generator.

1 using Self Care takes 24 seconds. Applying your logic, that's 24 seconds not on a Generator.

If you calculate with 16 seconds per health state, SC will NOT take 24!!!
    You mix up the numbers!
SC is not a separate value, it is double the base time, because it is half the speed.

  • @Tsulan said:

    ???
SC change will be 24 seconds. Both survivors can heal at the same time. So both take 24 seconds to heal.
Healing individually takes 16 seconds. They can't heal at the same time, so it totals at 32 seconds.

Why are we arguing if we get the same numbers?!

Because we do not get the same numbers.

So we go by the old numbers: 12 sec for one health state, right?
With SC being at half speed it will take double the time -> 24 sec, right?
So 2 injured survivor side by side start using SC, both are healed at the same moment and 24 seconds have past.
2 injured survivor side by side heal each other, one is healed after 12 seconds and the 2nd one after another 12 seconds for a combine time of 24 seconds.
(And if you change to the wiki values for the upcoming change you get 16x2 and 32)

What the Duck are we talking about here???

  • @SenzuDuck said:

But HE used the two survivors healing next to each other at the same time as 16seconds each = to 32 seconds. I just used the same example with the correct numbers as self caring is slower it would actually be 24 seconds each which would actually be 48 seconds.

I'm not sure if you're understanding, this is his example, I'm using HIS example so HE understands what I mean.

Ok, we start narrowing down the issues.
You can't calculate AND not read.

  • @Tsulan said:

    SC=24 seconds
Healing others = 16 seconds x 2 = 32 seconds. Without considering the time it takes to find another survivor.

    Why SC=24 sec?

Right now you use the 12 seconds healing value for SC, but the (upcoming) 16 for the 2 heal each other.

    SC = 24(32)
    Healing each other = 12x2 (16x2) -> 24(32)

  • Devs won't do that, because the perk is designed to move the killer away from the hooked victim to give free unhooks to survivor.
So the core mechanic won't change.
I just think the timer is way to short.

You are so bad at math. How on earth you manage to think that new selfcare will be 48 seconds? i truely hope this is trolling..

Oh my god, lets go back to this guy who said:

    @Wolf74
So 2 injured survivor side by side using SC will take 32 seconds and both are fully healed at the same time.

He's saying that two self care using survivors next to each other is 32 seconds of time for them to heal, added together, when he is actually wrong as he thinks self care heals at the same speed as normal healing (16 seconds on the new patch). When infact it's 24 seconds to self care on the new patch, so using HIS EXAMPLE it would be 24 seconds for each survivor, 24 x 2 = 48.

Good god, Self Care on new patch is 24 seconds, I'm not in any way shape or form saying it's 48 seconds, learn to read.

So why do you double 24 seconds TWICE?! if they are doing it INVIDUALLY, you Still do not seem to realise that lmao. Yes you are right it will take 48 seconds if the other person is WAITING for the other to heal.. jesus

    Good god.

I'm using the ORIGINAL example given, go ask him why he used this stupid example.

What "ORIGINAL" example are you talking about?
You are just doing the calculations WRONG!

  • @SenzuDuck said:

TL;DR - you clearly don't know how selfcare works, sweetie.

    Seriously… I am done here.

Wiki says healing one health state is 16 seconds (I think that's next update, but doesn't matter).
So 2 injured survivor side by side using SC will take 32 seconds and both are fully healed at the same time.
Or 2 injured survivor side by side, one is healing the other for 16 seconds to full health and they switch roles and the other one gets fully healed in 16 seconds. So they are both healed up after 32 seconds.

Can please someone else take over here?
This is like playing chess versus a pigeon.

  • I liked the victory cube.
I think killer should get ranked up on their ability to kill.
And survivor should rank up on their ability to survive.
    Simple as that.

  • @SenzuDuck said:

This has been calculated a thousand times, but you choose to deny facts.

Deny what facts? You're not presenting any evidence for me to deny, yet more spiel for you to tout to act as if I'm biased "BUT UR DENYING MUH FACTS" without presenting any.

No problem. But please stop bothering us with your obvious bias, ok?

I think it's fairly evident I have no bias, this is called an opinion. I play rank one killer, I don't worry about self-care, how is that biased? lmfao.

You could just, not get juked and kill the injured survivor, LOL.

So sweetie… facts are for example science… like mathematics.

1 survivor is injured and gets healed by another person or at double the time by himself, right?
2 survivor are injured and can either heal each other one after the other or heal each themself. Both taking the same amount of time, right?
But since this eliminate the need to search for each other is waaaay more timeeffcient and more safe since the killer can only find and interrupt one instead of both and the chance of getting found is smaller, because you don't need to run around leaving bloodtrails and moaning in pain.

Therefore SC is a major factor for gen rush, since it is important for gen rush to spread out.

Your "solution" to SC is tunneling And the next solution for getting looped will be "don't tunnel".

The rest of your post I will actually ignore since I would not play this yes-no-yes-no game.
And since we do not get new stats from the Devs, neither of us can prove the other wrong anyway.

  • @SenzuDuck said:

2 - 4 DS isn’t common at all, the sheer fact that guys constantly lie about what you play against really shows you’re not about balancing the game but trying to make it easier for yourself.

And no, as much as you wish it did break the game self care is absolutely fine, it’s a perk I’ve never even considered being angry about when playing killer because I tend to kill the injured ones. Insta heals are much more of an issue that Selfcare ever will be.

Two simple things, DS is VERY common, I see multiple copies of DS literally every other game, believe it or not and I a lot of other player confirm that it is not just my personal bad luck.
I wish the Devs would keep showing stats, but they did away with that, for … some reason. cough
And if you think that SC "is fine" , you really suck at mathematics.

Why is it a troll thread if it goes against your opinion but is suddenly gospel when it shares the same opinion.

thankfully, threads like this show who are the biased people who only constantly call others “survivor mains” etc because of opinions.

Maybe it's because facing 2-4 DS is pretty common and Self Care actually is geamebreaking?
