  • That's actually the beauty of the event.^^

Your "git gud" attitude is extremely toxic, and hilariohs how killers always respond to this despite crying like hell whenever survivors say it about gen rushing.

But you are aware that this is still something the killer player just adapted from survivor, right?
Those "git gud" crap was shoved down our throat (we killer mains) for 2 years now
.And now all of a sudden this is "toxic", but it was totally fine, when the survivor said it.
    Doublestandards?

Huntress and wraith look amazing in game.

A lot of that stuff is a bit "over the edge"... especially the dripping effects look just weird instead of "amazing".
The Wraith hole in the chest is cool, but the organs hanging out of the Doctor are just looking like neon garden hose from a Halloween cosplay.

Nothing bugged. Simply survivor mains playing killer to get their killer vials.

But why should they switch playing sides all at the same time?
Are they already done with the survivor vials?

Therein lies the problem. Gens still get done lightning fast which means more tubneling but now healing takes longer so it's easier to tunnel.

That statement doesn't make any sense, because:

Tunneling has nothing to do with the healing changes unless you still do unsafe unhooks and heal at the same place /thread

  • Thana = a weak perk with to low numbers to even matter
Sloppy = a just recently buffed perk, that is now at least useful
NC = a good perk, that punishes lazy survivor, that think they can heal near killer

    Wow... so OP, right?
And the killer already dedicated 3 of his 4 perk slots on anti healing stuff, but you think that shouldn't have an impact on the survivor, huh?

So you trade a health state for a borrowed time effect, that forces the killer to chase you for a second hit?
So it would be the same as actually having 2 healthstates, you just get some extra buffs and ignore insta downs.
Yea, sounds totally legit.... hahahaha… not!^^

You also go down in just one normal hit, albeit with a delay between the hit and the downage. It'd depend heavily on how long it takes. I'd been thinking, as Fibijean suggested, a 10-15 second timer. Many chases will last longer than that after the first hit, meaning that a persistent Killer can actually have an easier time of things if the Survivor is good at evading them. And with the single-stack approach, if the Killer catches up before those 10-15 seconds, it functions just like a normal chase would have. The lack of bleeding is almost negligible anywhere but Meat Plant and Memorial Institute, which are heavily Killer-sided as it is, which leaves the self-revival and, yes, "ignoring" insta-down attacks. Until 10-15 seconds later when you faceplant. The Killer can still keep on you after that hit, or even let you go and find you afterwards (remember, you're still braying like a donkey while injured unless you take Iron Will). It can maybe secure an escape once the gates are opened against a Hillbilly, Myers, or NOED, but it's otherwise not going to be winning the game for you without a heaping helping of skill and/or teamwork. If surviving heavy attacks like those is too much, that aspect can always be removed, or perhaps reduce the timer to 5 seconds. But I don't think it'd make too big a splash with the 10-15 seconds.

The survivor in this forum are crying havoc about healing been increased by 4 seconds, but you thing that increasing the time to down someone by 5-15 seconds is ok?

Can we show the devs a little bit of gratitude please? They don't HAVE to give us jack #########. However, they are and I'm grateful for that. Thanks guys! :)

If they want us to keep playing their game and keep it alive, they could give something.
I would prefer they give us BALANCE, but if they can't get that straight, I take some free cosmetics.
Their pricing for regular cosmetics is already outrageous, so they should at least dish out something for their events.
It's called marketing. They should give it a try.

  • @DeadByFlashlight said:

Take the exhaustion "nerf" for example. How has that change anything?

    Actually it did help.
Before you ran the risky of getting sprint boosted twice during a single chase, which prolonged the chase big time.
Now at least you only have to deal with one use per chase.

  • But... but... but I get a crapton of bloodpoints for unhooks and I am entitled to getting them.
And getting hooked is just losing one life, you know? Like Super Mario.
Everyone has a right to get 3 chances. That's an unwritten gaming rule.
And one chance has to start brand new, not injured but at full health. Otherwise it would be tunneling.

  • Funny story, lately I play some Wraith and it happens often to me that I hook someone and go a full circle around the map to search other people and when I just complete the circle back to the hook, someone is unhooking.
It's rather hilarious to get all kind of "camper" and "tunneler" insults after I roamed around the map so far and coming back.^^

Thana is 14% IF everybody is injured which increases gentime by literally just 8 seconds.

    13 seconds, actually. Goes from 80 to 93 (80/(1-0.14)).
14% speed reduction is not the same as a 14% time increase.

That is +13 seconds IF(!!!) ALL survivor are injured and actually stay injured for the whole time.

  • It's about the survivor messing up and doing bad plays, but they get covered up by bad gamemechanics and the killer gets punished for their mistakes.

Player A is on the hook and player B makes the decision to do an unsafe unhook. So the Devs decided it would be unfair if player A gets punished for the bad decision of player B, so instead they now punish player C -the killer!

  • Survivor won't stop complaining until killer are forced to give free unhooks.
Of course without any reduction in the rewarded poitns for it.

  • And again I got robbed of a kill by this crap.
This time it is even worth, I was approaching from behind the unhooker and lunged at her, because she was already injured and I heard the hit connect, blood splattered across the screen and she screamed, BUT BOTH kept running right out the open gate!
It seemed like my hit connected with the unhooked instead the unhooker and got soaked up by the invulvnerability.

This is plain stupid, since I not even tried to tunnel and get the unhooked tunneled, but it just screwed me over for playing like survivors -and Devs- want me to.
This mechanic has way to many situations where it punishes killer that did nothing wrong.

    Pretty good job so far.

Erm… how is "tunneling" anything that affects "healing"?
You guys here complain about the increased healing time and getting tunneled… #########?
If you get tunneled and chased, you never get the chance to get healed anyway, so where is the difference to pre patch?

None, it's just survivor mains making things up. I actually tunnel far less now because that guy running off after the unhook will take ages to heal up, if I go for the other guy in a spot where I know I'll down him then it's worth more than going through 1 injured state.

yeah but you're not the only killer - for every one of you there are five others who do the opposite.

Ok, so we are back to what I asked above. Please answer.

Stealth builds are out classed by looping/chase builds but they aren't unviable.

At the moment I run a chase oriented build on Wraith (BS, End, SF, Bamboozle) and having a blast getting those overconfident looper wannabees.
I haven't reached red ranks with this build yet, so I am not yet sure how good it really is, but I would love to see more people using this stuff to force survivor into changing their playstyle.

Developers are just spoon feeding bad players who are terrible at playing killer , you honestly dont need any skills to play killer now . They’ll realise what they’ve done when these baby killers start complaining about how it’s taking long to find survivors in lobbies .

    This !
Plus, there are already a noticeable drop in queues. Im on PS4 so i know exactly how queue times feel.
It used to be instantly full lobby when queue as killer tho.

    Rank 1 both here.

Literally every patch the lobbies are bugged.
The longer queue times have nothing to do with a shortage of player on one side.
The Devs can't get their patches right. Every time they mess up the matchmaking for a couple of days maybe weeks, before they can figure out what happend.
Been that way for ages now and still people use it for false claims of dropping player numbers.

Yeah but at least it's causing those survivors to go away and heal. It gets them off the gens for a little bit.

With DS one person can waste the killers time and nobody else needs to lift a finger.

I had matches where I needed to deal out 5 hits to down one guy and they healed so fast that they had been ready to do the conga row of bodyblocking at the hook in time.

  • The lobby time gets bugged literally EVERY patch.

  • @candymaniam said:
You guys ruined the game with the healing changes. Every game I play the killer tunnels the unhooked person because it is guaranteed easy target even with well make it level 3 they will still be injured. Half the games I play in the guy who gets hooked first is tunneled than rehooked than doesn't struggle so he dies. Making it a 3vs1 before 5 minutes pass. This is not fun at all. I know you guys are trying to balance swf but you buffed camping/tunneling and are slowly destroying this game.

    @Orion said:
Going after the weaker target is just playing efficiently. When's the last time you went for the generator that was at 0% after passing one at 50%? That's right, never.

Just trading people on the hook and spreading out the harm among the team without removing someone, brings the killer in the worst possible situation.
To many people are free to do gens and in the end everyone is hooked 2 times and all gens are done.
That's maybe "fun" for the survivor and they would call it an "intense" game, but for the killer it's a simple frustfest.

  • @The_Crusader said:

SC never felt as toxic and broken as DS.

Than you never encountered those toxic tanks?
I have matches like that a lot (before the healing nerf), during a chase they actively run towards me to take a hit to protect an injured mate and run off in different directions.
They healed up so fast, that I dealt out hits left and right and they kept healing up and tank another hit.

  • @Fishcat said:

Thanks for the tip but I only like to play survivor

    And that's the problem.
    One sided point of view.

  • I am still confused that people talk so much about DS, but ignore that SC has a way bigger impact on the game.

  • I am a killer main and when I play survivor I use SC all the time, because I know that it is a important perk.
I am ok with the global healing perk, since it helps prolonging the game and make single hits somewhat meaningful, but SC will stay top meta, since global healing got nerfed and not just SC.
They advantage of having it is still the same, just the overall numbers increased.

Yes haircuts are hygiene same as how shaving is hygiene.

Nothing. Beside the usual anti gen rush perks. He can jumpscare one survivor at a time and that's it, like any other stealth killer.

  • Who actually cares about buffs to lower tier perks?
The important balancing of perks is at tier 3. Anything below is just … meh…
Oh, some poor noobs have to use the tier 2 perk and it is worse… boohoohoo…
The grind is hard enough already, why should the important effect of the perk be only at tier 3?
They buffed SC to full speed at tier 1 and no one complained, but they did it to Noed and a bunch of survivor mains freak out.

    Dude, are you kidding me?
You just described the core idea behind GEN RUSH!
Being on different gens each survivor working alone is the most efficient way to do the gens super fast.

Gen rushing is going to happen, it just is, unless you create a killer designed around gen control like pic or doc etc with build in gen protection you're gonna get rushed.

Ok, so you have no clue what gen rush is, huh?
You think "doing the objective" is already gen rush, ok, fine.

Gen Rushing, Camping, Tunneling, are all made up arbitrary rules by survivors and killers to identify or justify a means of playstyle, nothing more, nothing less except our emotional attachment to the results of said styles vs the overall balance of the game. Its the same logic behind "Using decisive strike is TOXIC!" Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean its the survivors way of being "mean" to you. And just because you don't want to counter it or address the fundamental mechanics of why said skill or game mechanic is imbalanced doesn't mean that any and all use of said tactic or skill suddenly makes the person using it the devil.

Like I said, you just show how clueless you are by comparing apples and oranges.

  • @Someissues said:
You can do this already with MLGA, and it's not bannable by the devs and they're okay with it

You can use it to blacklist killers whom you don't like, or if they are playing a certain Killer

(Several mods already confirmed this, plus EAC confirms it's not bannable)

We need to spread this more so the devs will start putting this on the blacklist

You can't blacklist "killer", only "killer player" , right?

  • I think Alert is a solid 4th perk slot choice now..
The top tier perks are still SC,SB,DS (BT), but the pool of 4th perks slots (UE, IW, Emp) has a new more than valid option..

  • I already used the pre buff alert and was pretty satisfied with it, not it is fairly overpowered.
It needed some slight buffs, but not this much.

  • That's why killer dodge.
If you see more than 2 toolboxes in your lobby, you better leave or get rekt in under 3 min.

  • @Pie314159265358 said:
Actually, I play both survivor and killer -- survivor at rank one and killer at rank nine. Killer is frankly pretty easy, even having only one perk and no addons equipped it is pretty consistent to get a 4k. Pallet looping, despite being the only truly effective way for a survivor to actually survive, has been nerfed time and time again, and it can easily be mind gamed with anyone with a basic level of intelligence. Killers can hit survivors through pallets frequently, even after it has been thrown down preemptively, and survivors also have to deal with the unpredictability of bad teammates. Frankly, the majority of complaints coming from killers nowadays revolve around individuals who lack the basic logic to outsmart survivors. Yes, a great survivor can pallet loop for a good while, but an intelligent killer will move on to the next target if it becomes too bad.

The problem is, people here are looking at the absolute extremes: The best of the best survivors. I am not a professional killer myself, but I can easily get 4ks with minimal effort, yet it is quite rare now for survivors to get four escapes, unless they are specifically against a bad killer or are a perfect unison survive with friends team. Being bad at killer is not an excuse to nerf survivors to the point that they cannot be played, especially when they are constantly screwed over by laggy pallets, windows, lunge ranges, etc.

    Now I am pretty sure:

Either you are truly one of the top 1% killer in the game and do not know it and expect other to play on the same level OR you are blatantly lying to all of us.
Some of your arguments make me think it's the second.
    -preemptive pallets hit through
    -looping nerfed multiple times
    -just switch targets

Pretty please, can we see you streaming? I want to learn how to play killer, ok?

  • So actual FIXES to "safe spots" are favoring killer? Wow... that's a longshot.
You think killer should be forced to use all the band aid solution perks?
Can we please increase the number of perk slots for this?
Maybe like double the number of perk slots to get all the fixes for killer issues?
Ruin, BBQ, FD, Bamboozle, End, BS, Spirit Fury, Sloppy Butcher.

  • The game is still very much survivorsided.
If both sides play on the same skill level, survivor will win every match.
The killer has to be way better to make good matches.

1 … 30 31 32 33 34 … 50
