Killer lately has been really enjoyable but playing survivor has been nothing but cancer... Rank 1 on both by the way. As survivor its nothing but camping, tunneling, moris, and broken f****** hit boxes... hit boxes being the worst part. But as killer its nothing but GG EZ potato survivors. Before you say its because of the survivor nerfs, it's not. Its just genuinely better experience as killer and a broken experience as survivor.Funny how people twist things upside down.^^

Gen rush is simple math.
You can only chase ONE and 3 other will do different objectives.
Spreading out is the smartes thing survivor can do, that's why the killer offering "all start seperated" is actually benefiting the survivor and of course Self Care is the most important perk for this tactic.
With around 30-40 seconds a hit against any decent survivor, you -the killer- will lose 3 gens on the first hook easy, because the basetime to do a gen solo is 80 seconds, less with every great skillcheck or by using any toolbox.
We are not talking about "good looper" here, they even extend chases much longer than 30-40 seconds per hit.
So 3/6th of the survivor objective is done (5 gens + open the door), while only 1/12th of the killer objective is done.
Even if you consider 2 kills a balanced result and a "win" for the killer, you are at 1/6th of the killers objective. Not taking into account hooking anybody else, or getting DSd or flashlighted or bodyblocked. These are 12 successful 2-hit-chases and carries, without other survivor interfering.
3/6 vs 1/6
So if the killer is not camping and/or tunneling (trading hooks), he will repeat this on the next chase and gets 6/6 vs 2/6. -

killer perks should be straight up stronger than survivor perks, it's 4 perks vs 16
I understand that the killer is the power role but, a bloodpoint perk doesn't make survivors any stronger or any weaker. It's just something to encourage you to do something with a reward. Think of it as Dailies, it doesn't make you any stronger or weaker but it encourages you to do something for a reward.
Which is wrong. Having more bloodpoints at your disposal means you have more access to high quality items and add ons that you can bring into a match to make you … gasp … "stronger".
Same thing with the killer, I can just use BBQ and then spend the bloodpoints that I got as a killer on my survivors. Do you wanna nerf BBQ because I can farm Bloodpoints as a killer and then use them on my survivor? Exactly. Seriously, what's the big deal with having more bloodpoints? I'm starting to think that every killer that disagrees doesn't want survivors to have their own way to gain as much bloodpoints as the killer does with BBQ.
Because killer need more bloodpoints.
They lose their stuff every match, while survivor can refill their items for free ingame.
And they can keep their stuff and use it multiple matches.
And survivor aren't even dependable on items, while a lot of killer really need their add ons to perform decent. And don't twist what I said, please.
I did not mention any nerfs to BBQ, but also a buff to WGLF is not needed and would recreate the problems that we faced when WGLF was introduced.
Enjoy the long waiting times. -

My only complaint about LF since his release is the hitbox his chainsaw has. Being able to cut through METAL and Concrete seems seriously broken. Pallets and hitting me through a window vault, i'm fine with. But if i cut a corner and get clipped by his chainsaw through the wall, I tend to rage a little bit.LF is a noob stomper. is and always will be.
Strange. To me it is the opposite way. I get caught way to often on a corner and getting a tantrum instead of a hit.
It literally NEVER happend to me to "cut through" solid objects. -

I used to run BBQ, distressing, brutal strength and ruin. I dislike skillcheck builds because good surivors are not affected by them, but if you are in low ranks, they work wonders.Nurses calling can be quite helpful if you have problems tracking survivors, maybe switch it with distressing.
I prefer brutal strength over enduring because survivors tend to drop pallets earlier vs docAddons I recommend the discipline one that increases the madness rate and some range addon (even the common one is very good already)
Skillcheck builds only work on Doc because you can dedicate 3 perks to it along his core power.
Distressing because he is the only killer whos core power benefits from a bigger TR.
And at some point the survivor start ignoring the heartbeat and start healing anyway, because the TR is "everywhere" and NC helps you interrupt them and also snap out is shown with NC, which helps to keep them from doing it and make them stay longer in Madness 3.
He is one of the few killer that can slow the gens down without the need of using Ruin and risk of it being broken in the first 20 seconds of the game. How exactly does he slow down the game when survivors manage to hit the skillchecks, the only thing different is that survivpors have no snap out of it after they looped you around the whole map in order to be able to do gens again
Even good survivor get trouble to get those skillchecks at some point.
At madness 3 they can't do gens and need to snap out. -

Yea, this perk is so unused since it got hit by the nerfhammer, that people don't even recognize it.^^

To be fair, it should be habit for survivors to take down unlit totems to prevent NOED. So not having them lit up wouldn't be all that big of a deal. It would also give hex users a fairer chance instead of loosing their totems less than a minute into the game. Not really, A lot of good survivors do not even bother with unlit totems, myself included. Noed isnt that prevalent in the game. And if they do have it you generally have enough time to find the totem because the killer will camp the hooked person anyways.
Totally true, because it is easier to come to the forum and complain about Noed and use peer pressure to make everyone believe it is a noob crutch perk, than actually play against it and prevent it by using it's build in counter.
-
I suggest "Brutal Strike" for killer.
Every survivor starts the match "exposed" until he got downed once.
After that the exposed status is gone.THAT would be exactly like DS. DS causes one more successful chase to get someone on the hook and this would cause one less.
But survivor think DS is fine and the other would be "op af", right? -

Second, Self-Care increases the healing efficiency and speed of survivors (which is a response to his passing comment about Self-Care). Since I'd assume you've read the OP of my Self-Care thread (since you've commented on it several times), @Wolf74, I'd assume that you know what I'm trying to say here. Also, are you Sturmwolf from the Steam forums? I'm not sure, but had to ask either way. For those of you who don't know what I'm referencing, here's a TL;DR of how that thread is relevant to this point -
"Self-Care heals at 50% speed, so it takes 2x time to heal; 20 seconds as opposed to 10.
So, Self-Care'ing a single survivor takes the same time that it would take for 2 survivors to heal each other in one spot, to heal a single survivor. And supposedly, that's why it's balanced, because of the healing speed reduction.
Well, if that's the case, then wouldn't 2 survivors Self-Care'ing simultaneously also take 20 seconds for them both to be healed?
Meaning that the supposed downside of Self-Care, the slower healing speed, is not actually a downside (since the Self-Care and regular healing times are the exact same).
Because on top of not being bound to a fellow survivor/having to search for a fellow survivor/both survivors stuck in the same location during the heals, at least one of the two Self-Care users is completely safe from the killer during this healing, since it is physically impossible for the killer to be in multiple places at the same time.
And now, if we consider that 3 or 4 survivors are injured, the same holds true as above (in terms of inconveniences and lack thereof of the context of SC vs not having SC), and the normal 40 seconds of healing time for each survivor to heal the other, gets reduced to 20 seconds if they all simultaneously heal with Self-Care, twice as fast.
So, Self-Care is actually a universal buff to healing speed and efficiency."
Now, while the numbers are slightly off (base healing time is not 10 seconds as I thought it was, but 12), the ratios are aligned so that this math will always result in proportionally increased values to the point where the conclusion remains the same.Just yesterday I ran again into the "Self Care benefits the killer"-debate.
This meme is still going, even after it has been debunked multiple times, just by doing the calculations you made above.
When I said there are only killer perks than have build in mechanics to benefit the survivor, like MYC is encouraging the killer to give unhooks and chase the rescuer instead of the rescued, I got the answer that I am wrong and one example of killer benefiting survivor perks was frickin SELF CARE.
And the guy seemed to truely believe that!Right now the troupe is comming up again that "survivor get nerfed every patch" and "killer always get what they want".
(And yes, it's the same wolf.)

Pips are punishment, since ranking up only make matches worse for killer.
And bloodpoints are just a sideproduct to keep up with all the stuff I need to use.

(I don't think this is a bug, which is why I didn't post it in bug reports.)
mmh... I would support your idea.. IF survivor auras get the same treatment.
Just recently the gen auras got a new color to better hide a survivor behind it.

Do some math. Less than 50% of all survivor player are joining via SWF.
How many of them would stop playing just because SWF gets split into separate queues?
A lot of people will claim to quit, but not even half will make it true and stick instead.
Because there is still a queue to play.
And instead we could attract new or bring back old player, because the game is more balanced to make up for the lost player. And if you think about your own statement "killer would never play it", what does it say about the balance of the gamemode that you are defending?
That's why I said BP bonus for all player that join the SWF queue SOLO. That includes killer! Killer are always solo.
So you still get the player that want the challenge and the greedy ones.I guess but it doesn't say much about the game mode im defending other then killers are over dramatic
Sounds like you are either some godlike killer player or you aren't playing a lot of killer.

Cool down people.
A bit out of topic here.Cuddling killers is making survivors stronger.
While killers are provided with more and more superpowers, survivors are being taken away most of the time-losing things: pallets, infinites, faster pickup animation, stamina not recovery in chases - not to mention broken hatchets, vaults and hook vacuum still there. The result is that survivors are adapting becoming stronger and stronger, while killers are relying more and more on perks and addons, to the point that is impossible to find a decent Trapper anymore and even good Billys and Nurses are 1/10 the number they used to be.
This is a fact that don't make any of the two sides happy.
Are you serious?
Killer get buffed and survivor nerfed?
What "superpowers" did killer get?
When?
How about getting stabbed with a rusty hook is making you recover from exhaustion?
Invulnerability after getting unhooked ?
Better fast vaults for survivor?
You even mention the urban myth of "hook vacuum"... that tells a lot about your point of view. -
@Cymer said:
well it is easier for the survivors to play in a SWF and a lot harder and frustrating for a killer to face a SWF.
A SWF only queue would only split the community and as it is right now 70% of the games have SWF in them in any combination.
The result would be, a SWF queue with incredible long waiting times for SWF due to lack of killers and a legacy queue with incredible long waiting time for the Killers because to many killers.Same question to you: What does your conclusion about the two queues tell you about the current state of the game?
-
How about just reduce the insane amount of bloodpoints you get from stunning the killer?

Self Care does not need a mechanic to refill charges.

Most of these don't require the Killer to do anything but lack map presence. But its not how we think they work lol ok.
Rancor: You don't have to do anything except fall behind, is that what you mean? I can see survivors' auras for a grand total of five times during the game, and every single time it means I am closer to losing.
BBQ&Chili shows you auras that are FAR away. It basically only gives you a hint in which direction you should walk if you at least want to meaningfully allow the unhook for free. I play BBQ for the bonus points and barely ever for the aura.
Bitter Murmur activates when a gen pops and shows me that there was somebody at that gen. Woohoo. Unless it was right next to you this perk is useless.
Deerstalker: Ehm... Deerstalker is in no way a counter to stealth play. I'll let you figure out why.
Back to topic: The problem is that looping is a survivor's best choice. If the killer follows, you get a sh*ton of points and waste his time so the other survivors can do gens. If he doesn't, you get out of jail free and can go back to doing whatever he caught you doing. Still points for winning the chase.
The devs should not make looping harder, but give survivors a reason to not loop at all. For example, don't reward them for long chases but penalize them like killers get penalized for camping soon. Give them a pool of blood points and have them lose points during chases. Whatever is left, they get if they survive. In fact, I like this idea so much that I'm going to post it in suggestions right now.First of, great post.
Second, the thing with the chase pool to punish long chases was already considered by the Devs for the emblems, but they decided to save the points every 15 sec so that no one can lose to many point after one long chase.
In fact, looping and smashing the killer with pallets is the most rewarding way of playing the game.
Maybe they should consider lowering the pallet stun reward to disencourage it, -

There is no "counter" to voice com.

How about you survivor "get good" and play the game as intended. Solo and without voice com.

Yes, one hit is usually 30-40 seconds plus carrytime, that's roughly 80 seconds for one hook.
But during that time, 3 survivor can do THREE different gens.there's usually one guy doing chests and totems so the 1-2 gens seems more plausible in game assuming the killer isn't chasing a guy that is next to another survivor attempting to get the gen done.
You don't seem to play high ranks, dude.
30-40 sec is average, good runner will loop for more time. And that is only a regular chase without DS or a flashlightsafe or someone tanking a hit during chase.
So they have plenty of time getting 3 gens done even if they search chests and cleanse totem at the same time. It's funny how everything killer have is judged by the best possible circumstances; ofc the killer is top tier and the player is super good at the game.
But anything survivor do or have has to be judged from the perspective of at least half the team being completely ######### and doing nothing towards the goal of the game. -

SFTS should just get it's prenerf mechanics back. Crows just check for the alert if someone is close to them, no need for them to get disturbed (fly off).
For Monstrous Shrine, I don't like the idea of taking away the survivor's perks because it doesn't feel right and fun for them. As a person who plays both sides equally, I wanna make both sides more fun and enjoyable to play. That's why I changed BoP and Monstrous Shrine to be more fun based for both sides, meaning the killer gets rewarded for not camping and tunneling. Besides, I think there should be more mechanics in general that awards the killer to not camping and tunneling however it sucks that you get a lot of momentum from doing it. Don't get me wrong, there are times where you need to camp and it's a strategy but there should be things that awards the killer for not doing these things.
I have mixed feelings about that since Calm Spirit will now be useless.
Sorry, but... every time someone brings up the "but both sides should" routine, it goes against the killer.
"Both should have fun" usually ends up with, killer should not camp, killer should not tunnel, etc.
When have you ever seen someone bringing up the "both should have fun" argument with a survivor perk?
Perks are there to give the one choosing that perk an advantage.
Only killer perks have mechanics build in that benefits the survivor. -

Why am I dodged then? I am always solo. Oh yeah because the killer suspects I may be an swf. Do you realise how ridiculous this is?YOU are solo... but did you check the rest of your team?
Are they 3 SWF?
Did your team sport like 2+ toolboxes or flashlights?
Did they have legacy clothing? Bright clothing?
Toxic names? Twitch or YouTube tags in their name?Okay we get it we aren't allowed to play with our friends
No, you obviously don't get anything.
Don't play the victim card.
Don't try to tell me it is just about "playing with friends".
SWF on voice com gives a HUGE advantage for the team.
Do you think it is ok to "just play with your friends" if that totally screws over the other player you are playing with?
You know what? The killer is not a bot. It is another human being and he has a right to "have fun" also.
Fun in like playing a fair game.
If you can't be online without your friends, go play another game that is balance for that. -

You can only use DS once.
This is so …
"Once" = "once PER survivor"
We are talking about that strawman argument for over 2 years now and you really keep bringing this crap up? -

Thing with balance is that low tier players won't even notice the difference.
Remember HUGE EXHAUSTION NERF?
Everyone lost their ######### about it and now thing how long your good old average/mediocre/bad survivor lasts in chase. Surely it isn't more then 60 seconds so what is the point of complaining as you never get to see the effects. And now they get it back from getting impaled with a rusty hook. Yay!^^

Or it could be someone who plays killer and has dealt with salt...people can be super mean.
Just deactivate non friends commenting on your profile and you are fine.
Private profile in DBD is hiding SWF 90% of the time. -
Private profile = most likely Swf

Stealth doesn't even need perks.
Just be aware about your surounding.
I play Bill with SC, SB, Bond and STAKE OUT and stealth all the time. -

I just mock anybody stating that "aura revealing is killing stealth" in this game.
Heck, I can stealth against Doc!
Survivor defend broken mechanics like looping, because "stealth is dead".I see, so you opt to take a condescending tone instead of a constructive one. Then, I see no point to further discussion with you.
Maybe you should start rereading my postings.
But it is really hard to keep it serious if survivor mains bring up so much nonsense.
My favorite is "survivor get nerfed every patch".
Closely followed by "stealth is dead" and "looping is needed to survive". -

What would happen if we just give the Killers more perkslots?
Even the devs in their streams said on multiple occasions that this perk should be a feature or that perk should be permanent. The problem is that it is 4 perks versus 16.
And that killer perks should be much stronger than survivor perks, but they are not.
Don't get me wrong, there are good perks, but they are not powerful enough.
Sloppy Butcher, Bloodhound, Brutal Strength, etc.
You would need like 6 of those to keep up with the perks that survivor bring to the table. -

Yep, survivor can make bad plays and the killer is the one who "needs to adept" to avoid getting punished for it.
Pretty good job so far.

Because it is KILLING stealth. Not just "countering".

Yea… that way you get over 12.^^
And 1 - 2 sec aura reveal is so op. Totally gamebreaking. rofl
Along all those add ons with terrible drawbacks.
Sorry, I totally underestimated the power of aura revealing add ons.
Enlighten me, show me where I said these were OP?
You brought that up as someone said that "aura reading is killing stealth".

How would new objectives fix SWF?
New objectives that must be completed would extend the game effecting swf gen rush capability
New objectives would extend the game for ALL survivor… SWF would just make it more efficient.
Nothing would be changed about the insane advantage SWF on voice com have.
And there is no way bhvr is going to change that... but you cant argue that it would slow them down allowing for matches to potentially be as long as they should... meaning more BP for everyone, more game time for everyone..
But it would NOT change anything about SWF being stronger than solo survivor.
