  • My best advice change where you aim the attack all the time. If you keep attacking the same way all the time they will start dodging the attacks more easily. If the survivor dodges a lot start being more random where you aim. Like aim more to one side forward, backward etc. keep changing it.

I recently played against him and this one liked to aim forward of you almost all the time so if you took steps backwards he almost always missed. With his power being random is the best option if the survivor is good enough to dodge it. Start just throwing all around them they will accidentally dodge into them eventually it will throw them off and wil start giving you more hits.

I want whatever the acid spitting dino is so we can get another ranged killer

Dilophosaurus. It most likely really don't have that ability in real life and it was poison not acid but hey its a movie version. Still it would be too small to carry anyone.

  • Jurassic Park has been one of the licenses people have been wanting to see and Velociraptor would not even be that odd in my opinion as killer.

I assume you're complaining about the hitbox; however, I wanted to comment on something different. That said, I'll add to your point since I agree with it.

I'm attaching a video, if possible, and a couple of screenshots from today while playing with a friend. These happened to him.

On my end, what I believe has no place with Wesker is being hit from a distance after fully vaulting a window, or after fully vaulting a pallet. I say this because the killer already has countless benefits grouped into a single button, and because of the game's general mechanics. Taking Pyramid Head as an example: if you run straight to a pallet and the killer isn't a monkey, he's not going to fall for the bait. So this becomes the same situation that wasn't tolerated back in the day, and still isn't tolerated (it's currently being tolerated with Kaneki's vault cancel, but that's once again due to poorly implemented programming).

In Pyramid Head's case, a delay was added precisely for that reason: so that in a situation where the survivor has an advantage or an opportunity, it doesn't automatically become a 0% chance. That's exactly what's happening with Wesker: either he holds his power, or he uses it as soon as you vault and then hits you after you're completely outside the hitbox thanks to the tentacle, from an absurd distance (intentionally programmed).

We all know Billy can land a basic attack without penalty when his chainsaw is raised, or Huntress can do similar things, etc., but that's because those are different mechanics. The fact that Wesker, after all the benefits he already has (which are many, I repeat, many), and with minimal cooldown on top of that, is also given this... is absurd.

If you don't vault (and again, assuming he's not a monkey), he holds the power and redirects the hit.

If you do vault, you clear it easily, yet he still hits you from range thanks to a very poorly implemented interaction.

If this were properly designed, Demogorgon should be able to do exactly the same thing. This isn't about going back to the usual topic of overall game balance; let's talk about an identical situation: Demo either reaches you or he doesn't, and on top of that he's far more rigid and easier to bait. Wesker completely ignores the core mechanic with his tentacles. If he were a weak killer with no advantages, it would still make some sense, but considering how versatile and strong he is in capable hands, it's absurd.

Well, that's obviously why you can go weeks without seeing a Demogorgon, while the other one can show up in three matches in a row.

Attached in relation to the main topic, not mine.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ELDR0UVQOY4Z/1000075238.gif

The survivor's and killer's ping were 48 ms and 52 ms respectively, so this cannot reasonably be attributed to high latency.

That thing in the video is a bug and it happens because survivor is using Finesse. It also happens with Last Stand he should hit him with the tentacle but because he is using the perk he gets some reason grabbed instead. Its reported by me quite a while ago and is currently in "Under Investigation" by the devs so is in the works to be fixed.

  • Another rant post that has so little information that nobody knows what is going on.

  • There is also an achievement caller Power Moves that requires you to play perkless, repair one full gen and escape in eight matches. That is another reason why you might see someone without perks.

  • People who rage in the chat after match of some random reason and keep throwing insults and even treaths while even other players in the lobby are not agreeing with them. Does not been anymore specific as in the end most of them are just this.

then why are they actively asking to recieve feedback via people praising or critiquing it?

Because they want player experience not just raw data.

  • Its there for killer to get out of a match that drags on for too long. Still even if the killer uses it its not a win for him.

  • I just don't get why this is a problem in the first place as I said earlier main point of Corrupt is not that it blocks the gens for that whole 120 seconds. Its main point is to push the survivors towards the killer in the other side of the map and deny them that small time of gen progress that it takes them to find another gen. When they find that gen nobody is going to be hanging around those block gens anyway and when the first goes down they are already fixing the non-blocked gens. If someone would use Plot Twist to remove Corrupt they first need to be hurt and so either run No Mither or met the killer already. If you really think you are going to get more value out of Corrupt after the first survivor meets the killer is little bit odd as in the end those other survivors are not hiding near the blocked gens they are beelining to the other side of the map to fix the unblocked gens.

Yes, that's the problem, it's unclear whether this was a hit from the killer to trigger his perks or an arbitrary choice by the survivor.

The game in this case must separate these two things so as not to create accidental harm or benefit.

It is stated in the perk what activates or deactivates it its not unclear.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4086264#Comment_4086264

To be honest, they should create a system that determines when a hit or action occurs between two players, and when it happens in one direction. It’s very strange that it can work in one direction and create an unintentional chain of benefits for both sides

There is but those perks use the definition of when survivors goes to dying state does not matter if they get hit down by the killer. There is perks that activate on hit by the killer.

  • No its not as its about the same size as Fallen Refuge that is among the smallest maps in the game. You just feel like it is because its more claustrophopic than Fallen Refuge. Good example is that Treatment Theatre is smallest map in the game and it feels way bigger than it is because its indoor map. Same effect happens with Trickster's Delusion.

  • Yeah every killer is going to keep three gens blocked for 120 seconds. In about 10 seconds after the match starts survivors are already on a gen that is not blocked. Also them to use Plot Twist demands them to be injured that usually means at least the killer has hit them once if they are not running No Mither.

  • Movies 1-8 are part of Jason Universe as those are the movies they own the rights to.

  • I don't go to exit gate when I know that only way to get any survivor would be them playing really stupid. I only do it with killers that can make them pay of staying like Deathslinger, Twins etc.

I usually just go break the pallets and breakable walls left or farm points with my power on the otherside of the map while they waste their time standing there. Usually they get bored and leave if they don't they wasted more their time than mine as I was at least farming.

This is the proper, official response to the frustration of a regular player.

    Well done.

    Well done.

Or contact customer support as I told you they most likely can remove the stuck quests. This is a discussion forum not bug reports or tech support. If you want help go to the right place.

  • Nah just them telling you to give them the info to fix it but if you don't want that.

  • I don't know what you are saying as the pinning quests works totally fine just used it and had no problems. I think either you are not pinning the quests or there is a problem with your account. Might be good idea to contact customer support and ask them to help you to fix it.

Also there is no reports of quests not getting pinned in the bug reports so this is a rare thing if its happening and more likely might even be just tech support issue if you would contact them and ask assistance. This is noway a common issue.

  • @Dem34888 said:

Plot Twist can also deactivate Corrupt Intervention, which is stupid as for me…

Yeah and you have to be injured first to even use it. Most people are not going to run Plot Twist with No Mither to be able to counter Corrupt Intervention.

  • Also change the direction you dodge his attacks. People have preferences where they aim so if he aims usually infront of you start dodging backwards but I would still change just dodge randomly different directions don't do it always the same direction.

  • I reported it as a bug most likely that will get answer faster than here if you try to get developers opinion.

    https://app.betahub.io/projects/pr-5642738318/issues/4065

  • If I am not wrong the tomes are here to stay but they are going to be just lore additions like the recent ones in the future. They are retiring the challenge part as there is now the quest system in the game.

  • Haven't had any problems of using that perk so don't know what you are doing in the basement for two minutes when the invocation takes 60 seconds to complete. Never got any inactivity warnings.

So if I can get escapes with random perks about half the time I don't really see a problem how soloq is.

Sounds like you have a skill issue with observation and logic. No one asked what Wezqu's escape rate was, hth

Nah I don't really but if statements like that make you feel better then good for you.

in solo q Comment by Wezqu
  • Sorry but I disagree with you soloq is not impossible. If you are losing in soloq as you claim "killers take everything so seriously" sound to me more of your skill issue. Killer player is meant to play the game and kill the survivors that is his goal. Like are you expecting them to just let you escape and not kill you if you don't play good enough to escape.

I only play soloq and my last 25 soloq matches I escaped 13 times and seven of those were all four survivors escaping. Cherry on the cake is the fact I play with random perks so I am not even stacking the deck by just playing with good perks. So if I can get escapes with random perks about half the time I don't really see a problem how soloq is.

Who cares about MMR in this case? MMR is not some prize you gain for winning games, MMR is just for matchmaking purposes.

People really should stop caring about that flawed and failed system.

I was saying that the game considers it a loss and some people do care about it. I don't care about it myself but just thought to point this out as its not a win for the killer by the games own logic. Still from your statement you seem to care about it enough to call it a flawed system.

I dont think ttv are any different from normal players. But I consider it really toxic when they dont save their streams and playback function is turned off! Imagine being thrilled to see your gameplay from side perspective(we do not have replays!) and when you find a stream after game its live only. Damn!

You should go check their stream after they stop streaming in many cases the vod only appears after they stop streaming.

  • It changes them on survivor and killer on perks that mark objects. It uses the same color if there is survivor using Blast Mine or killer using Discordance etc. Deja Vu gens use the gen color aura that you have set as they only show you the gens aura.

So this setting is for anything that would highlight the objects aura to anyone for any reason. Like the perks I mentioned.

  • There is DBDRandomizer site just google it.

  • @Nazzzak said:

I'm pretty sure the game is voided in that situation. On the stats page it might show as escapes but that's a visual thing, it doesn't actually impact on escape rates

For MMR purposes the abandon on 10 minutes of gens not being finished is a loss to the killer. Its there so you can just get out of the match if you don't want to waste more time in it but in the end you have not won the match as that usually indicates a stalemate in the match but its not most of the time anyway over. The few times I have seen it used the match was noway over survivors were doing what they could but for reasons gen did not get popped in the 10 minutes. It never has been at least for me that killer was somehow winning it just causing time stalling.

  • So you are giving killer about 11 uses of that perk and when used well it would quite frankly be guaranteed hit on the survivor. Way too powerful to be like that. Less possible uses and it might be fine but 11 is quite a lot for guaranteed hit.

  • Update with 30 new maps making total of 90 maps. This time one map was got with an offering by me, two maps appeared thrice and four appeared twice. • No killer can see your aura when you are inside a locker. That is not something that can happen. They can see you go into one or coming out with aura but not if you are in there. Only thing that shows people in lockers is killer instinct and that you can't block. You clearly don't know how aura reading works if you claim it being seeable while you are in a locker. There also is no power, perk or add-on that gives perma aura reading there is always requirements to be met to gain to see an aura.

It also might be a good idea to tell what perk you are even talking about as there is several possible perks that could be.

Who said we are all survivor mains?
Most of us play both roles, and are able to see the problems clearly

I am random main nobody blames anyone to be one of us.

  • A perk that can be used once in the game and only if you safely unhook someone before you get hooked the first time. No it does not need nerfs.

  • It would only effect the Behavior if the new game would have bought an Exclusive license rights for making games to Saw franchise. That would prevent other game companies of using the characters. Seems like the Saw one is not and exclusive deal as its not stated in the rights section to be one. If you check the Hellraiser game it states exclusive video game rights and if you google Halloween game about rights its also listed as exclusive rights holder. The Saw game does not seem to have exclusive rights so it should not effect the DLC.

  • They had a survey few months ago about what people want to see in the official stat tracker. So from that they seem to have some plans of expanding it but when that happens is anyone guess.

  • Because Distortion was more universally useful as it blocked the aura reveal and same time gave you information of the possible perk the killer was running to get that aura reveal.

Self-Preservation mainly only works on killers perks that give aura on hooking a survivor and some others right after hooking. It does not give survivor information if their aura reveal was blocked. Its more a blunt instrument when Distortion was the Swiss army knife and still is as you can still run it and get the information but charging the tokens is just more problematic.

I have submitted a betahub bug report, but I'm not sure if it'll do much, since its not really a bug as much as it is likely an "unintended feature." Will just have to wait and see.

Also I made this forum post for fun and in jest, but in explaining the legitimate problem behind this apparently a couple of people have gotten upset and started downvoting every comment I make here lol. Just want to say, I don't care about winning at all, in fact I enjoy losing pretty often. Call it stockholm syndrome but DbD is the only game I've ever found enjoyment from losing on, which is why I can not only tolerate but actually actively play more survivor by choice, solo queueing 99% of the time.

The true root of my complaints here is that if I'm going to lose, I want to lose with dignity. Not to cheaters, not to bugs, and not to cheese. I don't find any enjoyment from winning against people who ragequit or grief their teammates, but I do find enjoyment from a loss when I was legitimately outsmarted or outmatched. Problem is, the pallet changes have lifted the skill floor so much that even when I play survivor I find it boring. No more is there this pressure to make every pallet count. Instead, if I drop this one a second too early, there's 5 others nearby I can probably get a stun with. Get some distance from that one stun, run halfway across the map, and start it all over again. I just want to feel like I earned my wins on survivor and deserved my losses on killer. That's literally it. Dropping 6 pallets or eating 6 pallets isn't very engaging gameplay for either side imo. Its not a very riveting chase, I'm sure almost everyone can agree.

Ok I just don't see any report of pallet spawning together in Underground Complex done in betahub in the last day that you made this thread so thats why I was saying would be a good idea to report.

  • You could maybe report this in the betahub bug reports so it might get fixed as it clearly is not meant to spawn those pallets at the same time. Things won't get fixed by just making forum posts about it.

  • @Wezqu said:

I don't think so but he can only appear on pallet scraps, pallets or windows so just know where those are near you so you know where he jumps out.

Oh and breakable walls of course. Just wanted to add that to my statement.

  • Don't always use her dash attack sometimes its more beneficial to just come to the gen crouching around the wall while standing up and then attacking normally. You can also grab survivors off the gens while doing that so you can gets some sneaky grabs with it too. I would say dash attack is good if the survivors are playing a pallet loop if they give you the pallet crouch, charge the dash and do fast fakes on both directions and try to outplay the survivor in guessing what direction you are going to go. You usually get a hit with it if they don't guess correctly but don't try this if you don't control the pallet they will just stun you with it. I myself don't usually save the traps either as if survivors keep popping gens they are pointless if they all are done anyway if they are not on the heads of survivors.

Builds I am not the right guy to ask as I am more randomization for the fun type of guy.

  • I don't think so but he can only appear on pallet scraps, pallets or windows so just know where those are near you so you know where he jumps out.

  • They don't always have achievements usually if the DLC only has a killer and a map there is no achievement as it would belong to the survivor achievements. They add usually three achievements per character added to the side the character is added. That is main reason why Freddy Fazbear's Pizza does not have the "fix main generator and escape" achievement as there was no survivor added with that. Other maps that don't have it is those that some point Behavior lost the license for like Underground Complex.

Still with Trickster's Illusion they either forgot to add as there was a survivor or they want to move away from those as there has been some people complaining about achievements that demand certain maps. Still they did keep the new three achievements per character rule even with Kwon.

  • One change I think she needs is that the scream she does when she uses the special attack should only happen after she starts the attack not when she is charging it.

  • Yes survivors are meant to spawn together or at least two groups of two quite decently close. Still there is issue with it and sometimes it does not clearly work and same with using offerings that should effect it also not working time to time.

  • Well he has gameplay mechanic that usually is not the easiest to use on controller. Not to spoil anything.

  • Yeah him saying there is an infinite and not saying what that infinite is really as saying the "main building" does not tell you anything than the infinite is on his opinion in it. You have quite many ways you can run that building and none of the ways you can run it is an infinite if the killer does not let the survivors make it one. You can make shack an infinite if the killer lets survivor make it in to one but its not automatically infinite.

  • Well time to update here is 30 more maps making total of 60 maps. This time one map was got with an offering and six maps appeared twice.
