The same place where they put the info that surge makes you scream when it procs versus how it used to not before. Spoiler alert, they never made a patch note for it. This change was almost 4 years ago at this point. Still not a peep from the team anywhere.
Case in point, based on track record, even patch notes aren't good enough.
So in your opinion any undocumented change is intentional and not a bug when you have one example where this is the case. Gotcha.

I dont think its good to be near any resource (window/pallet) when he is using his power omnipresent because thats where he can spawn from thats like camping tv against onryo or locker against dreadge.
Its good to be in open area only tricky part can be places where pallet spawned and got broken but that isnt place where survivors tun to safety in first place. Against him going into unsafe are from respurces is actualy good when he is using omnipresent unless its corner of the map more like go to open area near centre of the map.
I did not say anything of where survivor should be just noted that he can easily use his power to go get a spike and rejoin the chase. Survivors don't have that many dead zones where they can prevent you to get decently close. I have run into maybe one or two in some maps so they are quite rare.

Well the point is that if a Survivor sabos them it wouldn't be reloaded by Jason's power until the fixed time the sabos end
Still as others said here hooks are usually not that far to reload from those instead. It does not take that much time to use his power go get a hook and appear again near the chased survivor
-
His power anyway reloads the piles everytime he activates it so don't see what the point would be to sabo them by how he currently works.

Is this guy trying to claim the new "tab" bug is something that has been in the game long time. Its literally new bug that only appeared after the patch.
Also the NOED being revealed when last gen is done was a bug. Its not listed as a change anywhere and it was quite fast marked as Under Investigation in the bug reports. In no point any dev/mod tried to claim it was working as designed as they will do that if something is intentional and is reported as bug. This bug also is not old it started happening in 9.6.2 as that is the first time someone reported the bug. NOED originally was only revealed after killer did normal M1 attack on a survivor after the totem was lit. You can go check tons of videos of it so no this bug was not in the game from the start.
PS if you have problem with the sound issue press ESC and it clears up after you go back to the match from that tab.
-
You need to know how to use them. Best way to use them is to use them so the killer is not inside the fog with you when you use it as he can't see you if he is outside of it at all. Then when he enters you should already be either hiding or running out of it as he also can't see you outside of it when he is inside.
Its an item you need to know how to use like all the rest.

he already donates regularly anyway.
He’s not gatekeeping anything
He is inventing convoluted steps to give money to charity that is gatekeeping to me.
-
or the guy can give the money to charity anyway. He is the one who is gatekeeping it.
-
No he has to get his circus.
-
It takes cheapest options and goes to the closest circle first if there is no perks as those it does first. So you are losing stuff everytime you use it.
-
I got 11 minutes yesterday went to play survivor match while waiting got 11 seconds for that.
-
@Blueberry said:
Why is this even a topic, you literally just crouch walk and the entire effect is negated, you don't even need a perk.
Its a topic as its a bug if you scream in a locker.

I highly doubt Jason's model takes 5 gigs though... Im seeing a crap ton of content from warframe, some of which I even forgot was coming today and its somehow less filesize than 1 Dbd character? There HAS to be a ton of stuff added that just isn't showing up or something.
Well with updating things depends on the files they change and if the files in question are big it usually means you download that file again fully and it replaces the old one. So sometimes very small changes can have large patches as it effects the largest file in the game files.

I really enjoy his game play loop. He's like the best bits of Wraith and Huntress mashed together but with none of their drawbacks. I miss most of my shots with the spike, but I think ranged specialists will really be able to go to town with him. He is the best ranged Killer by far, imo.
I think he's maybe not very well balanced for average Survivors right now because as I said, he has no down sides to his powers, but since a lot of players are on console and playing with controller, that will probably keep his Kill rate a bit lower than it might otherwise be.
Still, it's so much fun to chuck bits of the map at Survivors and I think they've really done the character justice.
Well he has downsides like slowdown when aiming the spike and slowdown again if you cancel the throw. He does also have the anti-camp that causes him to appear slower if he comes out of his power near a hooked survivor.
-
It also was most likely adding all the stuff for the anniversary event.

If that is the case, and perks DO suppress it, then good! No problem then.
Yes they do as I have been saying the whole time. Killer still gets the killer instinct so you can't hide as he will know where you are if you are not crouching. Crouching does counter his power totally anyway.

how so? Both are considered toxic and bm, both ruin the experience of the other. Only thing is one side tries to claim it as a valid strat disguised as a griefing tactic.
Another is a tactic and another is just survivor being annoying.
-
Two totally different things that are not comparable in anyway. If you would compare killers humping downed survivors and t-bagging you would have a comparision.

Oh no… not a metric for the devs to figure out which are the most problematic killers and have real time information on who they should focus on.
Like they don't have that info already. They don't need to make waiting time longer for paying customers for that.

Okay, tabbing doesn't really remove the skill check temporarily. But SOMETHING is making me pop a gen out of nowhere sometimes, again, like I missed a skill check.
Are you sure the killer is not using the Turn Back the Clock perk to blow the gen by looking at it.

I had two responses from the devs on Reddit about the issue. He's supposed to bypass screaming suppression perks. If you choose to not believe the account called "dead by daylight Dev" then more power to you.
Then they need to fix it as its not working like that. I don't have to chose anything I go by how it currently works in the game. It does not matter what someone states when their statement is not correct. I go by facts and the fact currently is that how I say it works is how it currently works and you can go test it yourself in the game right now.

Having played both as Jason and against him, the only thing I'd change is getting rid of the scream. Makes him feel bloated. Killer instinct is already there.
Well its called a Jump Scare so screaming makes sense.
-
He is fun. He needs maybe some tweaks and most of bugs fixed that he has.
-
Use it to gain all possible add-ons/offerings to be at least 5 with many of the killers. That is my limit of starting to play characters with fully randomized builds with add-ons and offerings. If they don't have all add-ons or offerings at least five I don't use any just randomize the perks. Currently I think I have like last six killers released that are only ones that I play without full random build.
Survivor side have like two survivors who I can do full builds as those purple rarity items seem to be the rarest to find in the bloodweb to get at least the five of them.
-
Press Esc and go back to the game it clears it out.

I agree, Jason should not get to counter a whole slew of (frankly, already useless) perks.
I love that he's here, but he should not get any special privileges just because.
Doctor is built around screaming happening often, and yet Calm Spirit denies him that.
For Jason, causing people to scream is a detail of his power. As such, it should not counter perks at all.
It does not counter perks. Some "dev" is stating totally wrong information and people are running with it. In game itself any perk that hides your screams works against Jason's Jump Scare by muting the scream but killer will still get the killer instinct so he will still know where you are.

People with epilepsy get triggered by it now since the visuals got changed you can look it up.
They just changed them again in this patch.
-
Just place the tip of the spear on the back of the survivor when you are throwing it. That is where it about hits but depends of course of the distanse of the target it might be little bit off center if too close.
-
As said in the other thread. What ever this "dev" claims he is wrong screaming part of Jason's power is prevented by using Calm Spirit you can even test it yourself in the game if you so want. He is mistaking the killer instinct to the screaming part as that you can't block or is just simply wrong in their statement.

First off Marvel Rivals exists which is a game with matchmaking so bad it made me quit it, which DBD's matchmaking has never done. Matchmaking so bad that the entire community is in a debate to this day with each other arguing about if it's designed to be as bad as it is to maximize engagement.
Also the problem with a ranked mode for DBD is that nobody actually wants a ranked mode. They just want sweaty players out of their matches so that they can win easier. It'd go over about as well as Team Fortress 2's ranked mode.
Not to mention in many cases where they complain of the killer sweating he was not even sweating just playing normally.

They look at me when I stare at them in miserable disbelief through the window they vaulted after I wasted a Coup token and didn't get the hit.
I wasted three yesterday it was really fun to use it with Jason as they keep expecting you to use the spear and then you just come around the wall with coup swinging.
-
There is several points where survivor can look at the killer skin quite much. Like when you are being carried or when you get hooked etc.
-
They have to hit in certain angles if the angle is too steep they don't usually get pinned or if you hit them into uneven objects like edges of walls or some rocks.
-
No they aren't at least by my own matches got one Torment Creek and one Grim Pantry of the eight matches I played yesterday and was using play while you wait at the start when queue was longer. Only map that repeated in those eight matches was Treatment Theatre and even that was first and last map so six maps between.

I don't know about you but if I'm getting my 3rd or 4th ghoul match in row I will just dc and take the penalty.
That's what you sign up for when you hit ready up.
the game has 42 that can be picked from
The game has 42 options on paper, but very few of them are actually consistently played. Because of that the effect of being able to block 1 Killer is not going to be evenly spread across the 42 — resulting in some Killers becoming unplayable due to long queue times.
43 options you mean now that Jason is in the game.

You should inform yourself as far as I know no effect can block killer instinct.
Thats mechanic that cant be vountered by effects from perks ir addons.
Well with Jason crouching when he does Jump Scare does prevent the screaming and killer instinct reveal but that is a power mechanic just not working on crouched survivors and so part of the power.
-
Got my friend to test it before he went to sleep here is the report let see what happens.
-
No survivors could remove four of the top played killers and their queue times would increase. Not healthy to the game at all.
-
Its a bug you can fix it by pressing esc and then going back to game.
-
Have to admit I don't remember him but my name memory sucks. Still hopefully things start going towards more positive from now on.
-
Still just to state even losing 2-3 gens on first chase does not mean you can't win the match. Won quite a few matches even in that situation before they get the doors open.

No I get that, I'm saying I tested it and the footsteps still show, I just wish it was easier as a survivor to report these kinds of bugs solo
Its also 12:30 am for me so need to go to sleep but if nobody reports it I will report it when I get my friend to test it with me.

I think they are just mistaking the oblivious from Elevens perk, it's an honest misunderstanding.
That said I'm surprised light footed doesnt work on it coz of the footstep silencing.Yeah the light footed I would report as bug and see what devs decide. I just can't currently test that myself and report as need someone else to help with that one as bots crouch if you use your power as Jason so its not possible to test solo and I don't like doing testing in normal matches.
-
Most likely might be as a quest reward when the anniversary event starts in the game. They have added things before they come available before too.
-
His power only reveals survivors who are 16 meters of the spot he appears on. So if you are so afraid of being found then hide in an area he has no windows, pallets, breakable walls or pallet scraps to appear at. There is dead zones like that in the maps seen several so far myself while playing him.

Feel like its kinda cheezy, they should make it so that hiding in a locker just like crouching he doesn't get killer instinct. All it does like in the match I played is incentivize slugging and spam teleporting to find the last 1 or 2 hiding survivors
Killer Instict is not blockable by lockers and its always been like that. If they now make it block that then it would effect all other killers too who can use it to find out if survivors are hiding.

Why would you lie about this? What a strange hill to die on.
Yeah and I am telling you I tested in the game and they don't scream. The person in question is mixing up screaming and the killer instinct he gets or is just totally wrong how his power works. So either the dev stating that is totally wrong or its not currently working in the game like he states.
I know I am right of how it works because I myself tested it in the game. So I am telling you Calm Spirit blocks the screams of survivors when using Jason's power. Go test it yourself in a custom match if you don't believe me.
-
If you are screaming in the locker that is a bug but as stated he gets killer instinct so killer will know where you are anyway.
