I’m lucky if I get that much with how my games are going. It’s probably because I’m playing solo. I’d imagine I’d get a lot more if I were playing with my friends, so rip to solo players. lol
Edit- I think I might try the play while you wait feature so I can get in some killer games, since I need to complete those challenges and hopefully earn some decent BPs.
I play solo with random perks all the time as my friend rarely plays this with me. Still most of the matches are around that 150-250k even on survivor side. Sometimes less when the match goes bad from the start.

It's not as though the cakes actually affect the minimal grind we have substantially more than a bloody party streamers, though. These cakes aren't incredibly potent, they're a 10% increase.
To the overall topic I've never really understood this drama and it rolls around every year. Sure, I don't really know why BHVR bothered to change the rarity either, doesn't seem like it was worth doing, but at the end of the day cakes aren't so scarce you aren't coming out comfortably ahead by levelling your character between matches.
I really don't know why people want or expect thousands of cakes stocked at the end of the event. What difference does that actually make…?
It'd suck to run out of cakes during the event because they affect the event directly, but other than that they're just a themed replacement for a BPS.I don't even know how you can run out of them. You get one about every two or three bloodweb levels guranteed and you get about 150k-250k every match if you are not tunneled out basically or the match falls a part like house of cards. You will get so many levels with that 150-250k that you have surplus of cakes even if you use another next match.

So I can't call something what it is. I am also quite happy in my life thanks for caring.

I was getting chased by a spirit and the random team managed to heal me mid chase over 5 times... and while playing dracula i had a bully squad that could heal everyone on the map constantly on command. With how busted that stufd is youd think poison would take a health state or deep wound atleast.
Its not that hard two or even one guy just spam dishes to the table. I had a match where the trolly was like five meters from the table so you could get it done very fast.
Still I have won matches as Hag and Skull Merchant. The Hag match was me playing with the waterlog shoe so no teleport either.

You don't?
It's spite. Nothing but spite.
They knew that a lot of people want to play during the anni to get cakes, they were irritated about getting dragged for something and so they did this.
If they'd wanted to buff this, they'd have given more than a 10% buff - this is little more than a calculated middle finger.
Vote with your wallet.
Love these conspiracy theories they are very entertaining to read.

Ill be the first then. Nothing changed since last year. But previous years you could get 3-5 cakes per lvl 50 bloodweb. Now u have to blow an entire lvl 50 bloodwebs worth of points per 1 cake. Which makes them extremely expensive and not worth gathering on p100s.
Ok then you can be the first.

But then you have everyone else complaining that they’re getting fewer because of the rarity, but I’ve seen people on Reddit say that cakes now appear on certain levels of the Bloodweb and it’s like 20 cakes per prestige or something along those lines.
Yeah that does not take into effect the random cakes you can also still get I have had bloodwebs with several of them usually on the ones that gurantees one already.

Probably because people were hoarding thousands of cakes, and they want players to grind more. What better way to keep people playing and grinding for longer than by taking away their cakes?
Its more likely more because them being Very Rare level makes them more likely to appear in the P100 characters bloodwebs thing that people complained in other events of not getting event offerings on them and in this one nobody has complained of that so it seems to be working.

I mean, I vividly remember almost getting a cake per bloodweb. Sometimes 2. That's roughly 50 per prestige level. If you've had that for 9 years, I think it's reasonable to question the change.
Reasonable maybe but in the end its Behavior's decision of how many cakes they want people to get and in the end you get about 30 every prestige. Currently in event queue you get like 150-250k per match with that math it takes about 5-7 matches to get one prestige. That leaves you about 23-25 cakes per prestige if you used one every match. You also can take into account that you get refunded any bloodpoints over 2k that you used on an even item or offering so you are even prestiging up faster than normal too because of that. In my opinion that is reasonable and there is others here who agree on that.
-
That is not that common as I have run that perk and quite often it does not cause this. It also could be that the person had no other place to run anymore. I have had tons of situations where I am running away from the killer and have to run through or close to gen being fixed its just part of the game. If they are doing that intentionally then yeah it sucks but in the end telling it here in the forum where most people are experienced enough not to do that is little bit a wrong audience anyway.
Still I understand you needed to went.

People are genuinely complaining just to complain simply because "b-b-b-b-but its not 200 cakes per prestige how will I get my 3000 cakes like last year?" Its not like the game is losing any genuine players over this, its mainly just people who were already burnt out of the game and wanted an excuse to stop playing after 2000 hours.
Yeah also everybody somehow forget that this is every year. Every year there is a vocal amount of people on the forum yelling about the cakes spawn rate. Behavior can't do anything correct for those people as to me some of them just feel like they are doing the complaining because of the attention or drama of it.
This happens every anniversary so was not really expecting it to be different this year.

I didn't know it spawns in excess pallet spawns that's insane.
Have to admit don't know either have not played survivor but they do get the event part where they can spawn in new pallets so would not be surprising they can spawn on the spots that could spawn one even if the loop has one already.
-
Did you get stunned and are you moving really slowly then its a hack. If you are just stuck its most likely a bug.

That's lazy AF they should update and have a proper switch 2 version
I think they don't want to do that because Nintendo makes everything too difficult or why you think the updates are not going through faster and take so long. Its Nintendo causing the hickup not Behavior. So makes sense to not invest time or money on a platform that does not seem to want to really work with you.

Most modifiers tend to give stuff for the killer side, or at least you can make an argument that it's even. Lights Out is the one that favours killers the most. Chaos Shuffle is balanced, but you could make an argument that since survivor meta perks are stronger the ones killer current has, this mode makes killers stronger than on normal game. 2v8 is massively survivor sided, but having an 8 person survivor lobby makes it so that the odds of one or two bad survivors being your team very high, so it is not as bad. Last year's Halloween event was very even, survivors get a smoke bomb and a different dimension to bring the killer on chase, and killers get a projectile that *damages*.
This anniversary event survivors get universal heals, endurance on command, Sprint Burst on command, full invisibility on command, the ability to fix broken pallets, immortal pallets, haste that makes you Huntress speed, universal action speed buff, and other stuff. Killer gets a projectile that slows. Dude, it is just not comparable.
Well there is also the ability to poison the food or objects but they did not even give aura or something to indicate that it gives any value. Main reason why it feels like a waste to do as you don't see any value as the killer of doing it.

You will not. I've done this 10+ times manually and a mix of bulk and manual. You never get cakes except on the levels I listed.
Yesterday this was true, today it's not.
I got cakes on levels it was not given even two in some levels but those might have been one that gave one already.
-
Or just use manually on all levels as that is the only real way to you to maximize the cakes. With auto things you are going to miss cakes.

BHVR must love people like you who gladly turn the cheek at godawful choices that actively enrage 99% of the community. I bet you feel special, here's a star for you ⭐
It always interesting when you say 99% when big chunk of players are casuals who most likely don't know anything about this or don't care. There is always vocal people that yell the loudest but claiming to be 99% of player base is little bit extensive too as its most definetely not true.

So why are you allowing such a significant nerf to be a nonissue to you? In year 8 I put around three prestiges into Vecna and I've been living off of the 200+ Cobblers I got from those three prestiges alone. Now? I'd have to shell out 6-8 prestiges to even HOPE I'd crack 200+ Tortes.
Well they have the right to do what they want you guys are not entitled to anything really. On my opinion getting so much as you claim from that ammount sounds extensive anyway. I have better things to worry about than if I get few cakes more in this game.

We used to get more than 40 per prestigie before year 9.Yeah sure I am new if that makes you feel better.
edit if you don't get it I am being sarcastic I have been in all anniversaries of this game.
-
Its fine you guys are being greedy. Got about 60 on two prestige levels so I am fine with that.
-
I think its happening because the survivors use the event power to spawn in more pallets if you are playing the event mode.

I've been liking ghostface during the event. Most people try to bully you with the tables and end up not doing gens haven't lost yet.
Most matches 3-4k's even with random perks and killers. If you get a good team that abuses the food then yeah its most likely not going to be a 4k but even still in those usually got at least one or two. Still have to admit I am not really enjoying the matches as the event just forces you to play more seriously can't really relax when survivors can negate your progress by just stuffing food on a table.
-
@Aznex said:
I have forgiven a lot of things in the past.
Y'all gave killer nothing to do in these events and I forgave it, as I don't play events to win.
You've gigabuffed survivor with a bunch of stuff they can do in the event on top of their perks, and I forgave it.What I cannot forgive is that YOU DOUBLED THE PRICE OF THE ANNIVERSARY CAKES AND MADE THEM VERY RARE!
The past 9 years those cakes have been priced as Commons and no one complained because that's the only time of the year they can be obtained. You did not need to mess with that. This feels like a slap in the face to the people who wanna reduce the grind using these events because they're the best way to do so.With all due respect, please for the love of The Entity stop fixing what isn't broken or I will personally usurp your General Manager of their position and restructure the entire balance team myself.
You do realize that you get the extra price back after you either exit the bloodweb or it levels up. You are not paying of them more in reality as you get refunded.
-
I got 60 on one character by prestiging it twice and only used like portion of it. Maybe do it manually so you can chose the nodes auto is going to screw you over everytime.
-
My theory is that they are Very Rare to make them appear in the P100 characters bloodweb more as they are more likely to get higher tier item in their bloodweb. So it being Very Rare just makes it more common on P100 bloodwebs and in the end there is like several guaranteed bloodweb levels that you can get a cake 100% of the time. I just used some bloodpoints to prestige one killer twice and it cave me about 60 cakes.
-
@Raino said:
I didn't play the game during last year anniversary and I was actually looking forward to this event together with my friends. The cakes situation simply made me close the game upon spending part of my points to see the abysmal drop rate and not open it until it's hopefully fixed.
I hope my stubbornness actually pays off (since I might have used 10 mln bloodpoints code before together with my friends and now we are sitting on a lot of bloodpoints unsure whatever it's worth to wait or just spend what we have and give up on the event). If we are to get significant cake drop rate boost I honestly don't even mind waiting a week (I do) as long as I can get actual cake value of out the bloodpoints.
Can anyone tell me how long it took for them to fix the cakes in the past or at least acknowledge the actual problem itself and say they will fix it (not investigating/looking into it message but actual statement on their stance/plans)?
They already fixed it and gave 5mil bloodpoints to everyone.

I posted this in another thread of how I would change him to make him not grind the game to a halt
He most definetely should not to see survivors doing objectives while in OE.
Still I would also lower or even remove his haste after appearing he does not really even need it. He has ranged attack he does not need the speed as he is not just a M1 killer.
I would also give him a timer not sure of the time limit but if he stays in OE over that timer he will lose all information he could gain from it normally. This would be there to make camping harder and make him come out of power more and not just sit in it most of the time. The time limit would be something quite long like 30-60 seconds.
These would be the three nerfs I would do to his base power and with these he still would be totally fine and not really even that much weaker just better for gameplay wise so matches don't grind to a halt everytime he is in power.
-
@pidgeon said:
Sauna Rock (exhaustion add-on) does not need a nerf as at the moment it gets completely countered by crouching, then you can sprint away.
Deputy Badge does need a nerf as it literally hurts survivors by giving him extra generator regression since survivors will be off of the gens using the counterplay in order to ignore Sauna Rock
The only basekit nerfs he needs is to make it impossible for him to detect survivors on totems in omnipresent evil.
I would say yes he most definetely should not to see survivors doing objectives while in OE.

There is no way to differentiate. Only thing on server side they know is that someone lost connection. There is no way of knowing why and how so its penaltize in all situations except in the only one they know for fact what happened and that is server crash.
You playing the game with bad internet is your risk its not behaviors responsibility if your interenet is bad. You disconnecting is causing harm to the other players in the match because either the match ends if you were the killer or survivors get a bot and have to play with that handicap.
-
Well not true Nicholas Cage also does not have his own lobby music still she never has had one. So they most likely never planned to add any for her.
-
Well the poison bottle is useful to make survivors to stop moving almost entirely and you can throw that sucker half a map.
-
It states the tile that you are standing on. Its there for bug reporting reasons so users can give the tile in question the bug is on. Been there a long time they just added it from the esc tab to the player list when they added that feature.

The bottle throw is almost useless bc the effect is cleansed as soon as you hit them, and if you can hit them with the bottle then you're probably already in hit range.
You can hold the throw key and throw it further away if you did not know.
-
No its not the worst. Nothing can beat the first Bloodmoon event as in that the main thing of the event did not really work and the offerring did not work at all. This one at least everything is working but its just is not that interesting.

the answer is cope while survivors get op effects
Throwing the bottle is quite op effect too as they literally will stop moving little bit after they get hit by it, but still its one ability when survivors get several I would say are stronger.

Nothing in particular I just don't get why it's a big deal but it is very funny to have people tell me I'm defending a corporation because of that as if this is the biggest problem they have rn and it's some moral outrage although that is very in character for the community.
Well you don't have to understand. People want different things. I myself would prefer buying the characters from Steam as i want to support the game by using real money. I don't myself like using ingame currencies as I never saw any point in those. Still yeah they should have not done the corporation statement.

I manually prestiged survivor one full level, and killer one full level. Killer got 3 cakes, survivor got 2. That’s across the entire bloodweb, grabbing them every time I saw them. It’s pretty awful. They compete with very rare addons and items now, meaning yes there’s less for them to technically compete with in order to appear in the web, but unlike common items they appear like 20x less often. I see one or two purples for every 15 levels, takes 50 to prestige, you do the math. The odds are whack.
Well don't know I played four killer and three of them got three after that one match and one got one. Its possible to be unlucky but thats still 3/4 that got three.

This is community's main issue @Balrog.
All we really want now are better cake drops - atleast the way it was before.
I said in another thread I have no problem with the current drop rate if I got three cakes with about 150-200k after a match. So if you get that I don't see what you guys are expecting to get over five or something? Still I was using manual spending so I was targeting the cakes not trusting automation that is known to pick cheapest first.

Like also the fact is that I feel like the Very Rare rarity makes the cakes more likely to appear on bloodweb. My reasoning is because there is only about six Very Rare offerings on both sides. There is about 11 offerings on the common level so to me it makes it more likely to see the event offering to appear on the Very Rare offering slot on bloodweb than its chance to appear on the common offering slot because there is more possible offerings to appear on that Common slot than there is on the Very Rare one.
Still it might get balanced by there being more common offering spot on bloodwebs but I don't have data on that.

yeah i think people are going too far, Balrog is getting almost attacked in another post rn
Like I can believe that automation is screwing people off but that is literally what it does anyway. Its main point is that it takes cheapers from the middle onwards and as the cakes are Very Rare level they don't usually spawn close to the center. So when they use the auto level features they are missing most of the cakes they could get because they are at the edges.
