"NOT fun losing because you were outclassed by perks"
Runs deadhard.
-
You could always grind shards to either buy an original character or wait till it's in the shrine.
-
Sometimes I do it when they happen to be hooked in a three gen. You'll proxy to force trades while keeping the strongest gens up.

You play on PC?
In ps4/ps5 you can just get the recording from the last x minutes, but if you are on PC not sure what options are available
The only option would be to do the same and get some recording software, but there is no conventional replay system.

*downed last survivor but game hasn't ended yet*
Now to just sit here for 60 seconds, or count to 8 seconds when they get up.
I just don't see how it wouldn't just be a time waster with such a massive tell.

my point being is that you have that option whilst Dredge does not. Yeah the TV cooldowns could be lower than 100 seconds but still
Idk. I have a 1 in million chance to win the lottery, but that doesn't mean I realistically have the option to buy 5 houses and 4 cars.
Sadako's mini mori conditions are heavily slanted to the survivors but I don't think they were ever meant to be reliable. It's possible they were meant to be time wasters like a pig trap. The problem is that they can be largely ignored.

You wouldn’t even really benefit from that. Killer can just assume you have it and wait out the timer.
I just think it extends the game for little reason. Unless the hatch spawns right next to you, its just going to be a 60s + stare down. Let's wrap it up.

Now, this is true. This is also why I moved away from wanting breaking totems to be basekit (which I championed pretty hard when boons came out) to wanting an increasing cooldown, or a token system for re-blessing, or lessened verticality. Basekit breaking totems when the totems need to be close to the killer to have any value is a dealbreaker. That's already the main reason these perks are so rarely run, because on most maps, the killer is going to find them while you're looping them and the value you get out of each light is inconsistent.
The issue is, those totems don't have to be close to the killer. I think those three perks are currently very badly balanced because they're either hard to get value out of or they're too good. The counter that you say exists for no reason... you ever had a squad bring you to RPD with one or two stacked totems? The Game? Midwich? Shadow Step on a multi-floor indoor map is pain, especially when people are running Iron Will to supplement it. Blood pools are the only way you're going to track anybody, and of the indoor maps, only Lery's and the Game have bright enough floors to see them easily. Exponential supplements sabo squads and bodyblockers, who are already very powerful on indoor maps. Dark Theory certainly isn't great, but you can make it cover half the map with the right totem spot. (I did happen to see it in play against a Scratched Mirror Mikey once and that was cruel, but on the vast majority of killers, 2% isn't make or break and it's the boon that most needs buffs.) And CoH is CoH. You drop chase to remove the boon, everyone resets, and then the boon is back up in the same spot at the next possible opportunity anyway. It's insanely oppressive and the killer's only play is to tunnel out the boon user.
I think Shadow Step is always going to be map-dependent and that part of its design can't really be extracted without changing what it does, but for the others, doing something about their edge cases would open them up to buffing their effects so they can be more useful everywhere.

Don't knock Retribution. I didn't bring it up because it didn't fit your parameters of 'worth running on its own', but on a hex-heavy build, Retribution is excellent info.
And Thrill is mostly a 'stop booning and get off my lawn' perk nowadays, but it used to be an excellent support perk...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2963829#Comment_2963829
Except they currently can do this too well. It just depends on the map and the state of the game. Placing a boon somewhere like Badham basement or Ironworks catwalks is a lose-lose situation from the killer; the amount of time it takes to go and clear the boon and then get back on the road is enough for a team reset or a solid chunk of time across several gens. Similarly, towards the end of the game, one totem far away from the remaining gens reaches that same status, where the killer can't address it without giving up the gens. The problem with that one is that currently there's only one totem that actually wants to be far away from the killer's location; the other three are designed to be close to the action, and this further hammers the disparity between CoH and the other boons.
"used to be an excellent support perk..."

Real question is did he rig the stats by deranking off camera like the 500 or whatever "4k streak" as they did with demo.

When I briefly saw pictures of it, I thought BHVR was giving us some killer turkey.
-
Maybe it'll just be like a cinematic thing. I guess it could be like victory animation that plays out.
-
No. Further more, I've always wanted them to experiment with locking out all exhaustion and slowdown perks for a day. I'm glad they finally see how boring the meta was/is. How chase extending survivor perks and time refunding killer perks feed that cycle and counter each other.

I wonder if "loser's queue" is a thing .

You really expect the same group that gave us COH to understand game balance enough to fix those mentioned issues in a healthy way?

I know this is sarcasm, but it truly was a lot more fun in 2016/2017 even with the infinites, vaccuums, and various OP and buggy bullshit. A lot of the fun was discovering what was broken and exploiting it. Hahah. Of course I would never do that now.
You're telling me that you thought loading into a game, getting 1 shot downed by a Billy then instantly mori'd..... was fun?
-
Gens b4 friends
Though, it can work if a killer is nice and just gives out free saves
-
Actually, as much as I want it dead, I dont even know what they could do to keep it as is but balanced. The distance part is the most useful, but also the dumbest part about it.
-
If they do then pork is back on the menu.

I'm not sure if there is a official lore team in BHVR, but I'm pretty sure there is a catastrophic lack of game design team no matter what it is, members or ideas. Especially BHVR have already get A++ on gender equality promotion but only get D- on game design / player experience. So, in my opinion, BHVR perform a bad resource management, which means they have no resource to fix basic game experience issue. Of course you can have your opinion, I'm not trying to convince you. Have fun in the fog.
What I don't get is that balance has always been questionable, at its high, its low, and since the beginning but now some people are pointing to LGBT+ inclusion as a partial source of it.
It's always been here.
-
I can only assume because you can divide the blame amongst the group.
The only time I really feel anything is when one side is a sore winner and just rubs it in your face. But, tbh, those moments really push me to play better so it doesn't happen again.

That's because they don't say anything. They double talk and walk back on ideas. They do and don't care.

Putting down DH for distance players over loops/pallets is pretty cathartic.
-
DBD is so far ahead with content that a competitor has to really deliver on DBD's weakest point, actual gameplay.
-
So nurse is
Slower than a survivor
Can't realistically chain blink because she has to blink through objects
Still fatigued after everything
How to dumpster an entire killer in one easy step. The thing is, I don't think there is a way to make nurse "play by the rules" without gutting every thing about her and starting over.
-
Restricting teachables would a good way to kill killer/survivor variety as some of them have god awful perks.
Ace would be Jeff level rare and Jeff would become an urban legend.

I wonder if hemorrhage should be tweaked in some way. Maybe the healing progress only goes down when you stop running (kinda like the Deep Wound timer)?
If that were the case, hemorrhage would do nothing at all because all that is required to be considered "running" is holding the run button. Just hold the button, take your finger off of it to heal. 0 impact. At least mending makes you finish the action.
They could always update some perks with status immunities. But trying to tape together ways to revive hit and run in a world where COH exist ( let alone an actual way to counter it) is bound to make for some wild ( and equally stupid) designs.

Wait I thought letting the killer hit you out was a nice thing cuz it gives them points.
It's just that it's only 200 BP, that's nothing compared to wrapping the game and going into another. To me it's like a survivor that just sits at the hatch, they don't want to just leave. They want you to watch them leave.
Just end the game already.
-
Killer played nice... gotta sit at the exit gate and tea bag or waste their time with pity hits.

I don't think BHVR would touch a maps size and NOT take a look at windows, pallets, hooks, gens etc.
"guaranteeing" the win doesn't mean anything if you want to literally die irl before you get to that point.
I don't think it's that simple anymore. Antiloop killers have some way to play around pallets, and holding w is the best strategy against them. Taking that away just gives into stay at pallet > get hit, leave pallet > get hit just as quickly .
If they had done it years ago it could have worked but now I feel like they'd have to rebalance a few powers.

Candyman and FNAF would def bring people in but I have my doubts the trailer for this years anni made it look like DBD is on it's death bed.
New chapters bring people back regardless. It's more about making them stay.

I though you could use as many soda and candy bars as you want ,but you'll have to go out and get them out of machines and have a limit of 1 at a time.

Also, remember the kind of loops she can throw over and if you see one, just hold w right past it.
