It’s weird I was leveling up Leon yesterday and I got RPD badge offerings I thought it was disabled so shouldn’t I not be getting any?
You should be getting them.
They are just disabled until the devs can fix the maps console crash issues.
As being able to force a lobby full of console players into the map to force crash out is extremely unfair and would count as griefing.

Why? All M1 killers have killrate above 50%. So, no. It's SWF that must be nerfed.
If we are going by Kill rate then the Nurse desperately needs a buff!
-
Ok we found someone who clearly never played with the wraith before his buffs or just want wraith to go back to F tier so they can bully him more.

@adirgeforthedead said:
I'd say it's between Wraiths and Blights... since the Freddy nerf, most sweaty Freddys turned into sweaty Wraiths as far as I can see. Going against Blight running Tinkerer, Ruin and Undying is by far one of the least fun experiences in the game as far as I can account for even though Blight doesn't need that sweat to easily get a perfect game. Then, Wraiths mostly camp and tunnel and abuse bodyblocking and it's exhausting.
Read the comments above for why blights have to sweat.
If you don't know how often blight breaks then you'd really need to play blight more as he rarely works as intended hence the sweat to make up the difference.
-
@Phasmamain said:
Blight mains are usually very sweaty and always run meta builds even though blight doesn’t need them
To be fair to blight players:
Their power experiences at a minimum one game breaking bug every single game that costs them a chase.
Also from personal experiences there's usually 8-12 game breaking bugs a game if not more.
So they kinda have to sweat to make up for their killer not working a LOT of the time, as blight also experiences bugs that can flat-out disable your power for extended periods of time unless you know how to fix them.

So just cause he had a terrible history he gets a free pass now?
No, he needs to be addressed, and that includes his addons which are ridiculous
He's not OP people are just so used to being able to bully him that when he's no longer the worst they think he's op because they have no idea of how to play around him.
His speed is fine.
His post stealth lunge is fine(Trust me I played wraith when he didn't have it. He was unplayable).
His add-ons are over hyped for how little they actually do(All seeing blood's range is 12 meters which is smaller then some loops in the game).
People just need to learn to respect the wraith as a killer instead of being a joke they can bully and T-bag endlessly.
Also did I mention how powerful of a counter flash bangs are as they can STUN him if he ever tried to uncloak near you?
-
@Zokenay said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2363236#Comment_2363236
Then how would you fix him then? cause right now his reward is too high for the skill required, (next to none).
Also Spirit doesnt have infinite Phasing, Wraith can stay on his cloaking for as much as he wants.
Also his stealth wouldnt be affected, it would only affect his ability to be able to cloak after a hit to get another free hit with his absurd lunge.
He doesn't need to be fixed is the point.
He's been the game's laughing stock for most of his existence and the moment he's no longer the worst killer in the game, survivor mains want him nerfed because they can't bully him anymore.
Edit: Heck the new flash bang perk is probably the single hardest counter to wraith in the game as well as it outright stuns him if he tried to uncloak near you when you use one.
-
@Zokenay said:

Either making his lunge shorter or adding a CD do his cloaking so he cant just spam it like he currently does.
Adding a cooldown or reducing his lunge would kill him along with having a cooldown on his stealth defeats his entire purpose as he would then just be an objectively worse version of the spirit(Not that he isn't one now).
-
I thought you could spin your killer while in the lobby screen.
So you might have nudged him slightly without realizing it. Thus causing his wink to be in the wrong direction.

The thing that confuses me the most about the devs is that they say they want to make sure the things they work on are worth the time and effort but they go ahead and make a whole map that really doesn't fit for DBD gameplay.
I just played a match on it and I hardly even looped the killer because I didn't need to. You can just shift W around the whole map and you're fine.
It also doesn't help that there's two guaranteed windows that chain into each other near the middle of the map(the office room into the stair way windows are chainable god windows.)

Surge is one of the best perks in the game lmfao
Its really isn't as its still too restrictive to make it anything more then a secondary regression perk.
Regardless of the above it still doesn't make sense that it doesn't work with demo's power when its one one of demo's perks.

I keep hearing this from killer mains, yet I sit and watch the killer come back to the hook constantly, even when no one is around or leading them back.
Patrolling near the hook while patrolling generators to find a survivor is fairly normal.
Your not chasing anyone and are looking at spots where they'd go aka generators/hooked survivors.
-
@treefiddyoh said:
Why go back to the hook? There's 2 other survivors in the game...
Because they lead/kept me right back to the hook?
I mean survivors do tend to lure the killer back to the hook or loop around the hook a lot even at red ranks.
There's a lot of normal reasons for why killers are around the hook and its usually the survivor team's fault for causing them.

I mean, it certainly gets some attention even enough to get them to stop camping sometimes, it's an incredibly useful thing to do in situations.
I like how you ignored my bit about point and beckon though :)
You are becoming too exceedingly desperate to justify T-bagging not being toxic to not be someone who does it.

Oh no, the dreaded t-bagging that has literally 0 impact on anything, how will I cope :'(
I take it from your response that you do that every game?
Yet you wonder why killers tend to treat you in kind when they play against you.
-
@Seanzu said:
But...
You can literally hold W for 10 seconds and push them out of the gate like, I don't get it, you don't have to wait the full 2 minutes?
As they BM you and purposely do offensive gestures.
Or maybe survivors could not be sore winners and just leave,
-
@Orion said:
This would defeat the purpose of the perk. It'd be as if the Trapper's traps were highlighted as survivors approach them.
It wouldn't as it would still stop the killer from kicking the generator without getting stunned.
Also survivors do usually get disarm props before they touch the traps so...
-
Yep they are currently still broken and rarely actually apply the slow.
So while the hindered now works as intended the bottles and the gas themselves DON'T WORK!
-
The game needs to balanced with SWF is mind.
The game would die if people couldn't play with their friends.
-
Spine chill is a good perk but its not game breaking like either of the previous versions of DS.
It should be left alone as its healthy for the game to have a non 2nd chance perk be semi meta/Meta viable.
Let alone one that can be beaten by doing a sideways shuffle to a generator.

According to OTZ recent video Ruin means 180 sec slowdown at average. While the weakest one Dying light only 40 sec or so
No 180 seconds was MAX value as ruin wasn't cleansed.
Otz even pointed out in that video that they'd need to redo ruin's numbers once they know how long % wise(% of the trail it remains up) ruin usually lasts for and subtract that % from the total to get the average.
-
Given that 2-3 generator can be done by the time the first chase is over...
Is it really that surprising killers try to bring heavy slowdown to keep the remaining 2-3 under control?
It maybe boring maybe but it's also necessary in most games even against solos.
-
Killers get enough cakes in their blood web that its wasteful to NOT use them as your almost always going to be getting two in your blood web for every single one you use.

This is true, but also she's slightly bugged too in the manner that survivors WILL cough and hurl as if they've been infected, but they won't get infected. That's just to add to the insult already.
Yep and I think that's part of the server's not being able to handle/track properly how many projectiles she shoots.
Aka the player's client sees where all the projectiles should be and thus plays the proper animation but the server can't keep track of the shot and think it misses so the other player doesn't get hit on its end.
I mean she shoots a lot more projectiles per second then even the Trickster does(outside of main event).

I mean, smart Wraths will use the environment to hide even more, instead of solely relaying on their Bell, using walls, rocks, etc.
Yes and that's also why you try to position yourself at generators so you can see his potential approach areas.
Also even if you didn't see him from any areas you were monitoring guess what? Those areas are safe to run to if he begins to uncloak from another direction.
Its also best to prerun before you even hear his bell tolling(Which is literally symbolic for those about to die.) as if he successfully sneaks up on you. He successfully outplayed you!
Edit: He's a stealth killer. His ability to successfully sneak up on you is part of his skill expression and ceiling.

So just gonna forget how this guy is barely visible until he gets near you? same for his breathing which is short range?
Not every gen has good loops near it to avoid an ambush, an example being that top gen in Hawkins which is terrible btw, who tf made that gen?
I am vision impaired and I can still see him running strait at me from a distance.
Idk maybe I played a lot of games where stealth has that same shimmer so I am trained to see it but wraith rarely sneaks up on me unless I am the first person he finds so and even then it rarely helps him.
Also doing generators in dead zones is always a risk against EVERY SINGLE KILLER IN THE GAME!
-
Plague's power was effectively gutted by the servers as her power has extremely unreliable hit detection.
The issue is just how the developers made her power as its not a stream(The "Vomit Flamethrower") but a very wonky "Vomit machinegun" as the devs called it.
Aka it shoots out small shoots every ~.5 seconds which due to how the net code currently is causes a lot of issues with that many projectiles.
Along with the fact that the steam can hit but not the bullets causing what looked like hit shots to miss meanwhile the quantity of projectiles seem like too much for the server to handle/track.
-
@Zokenay said:
It has more to do with how easy he is as a killer and gets free hits with his massive lunge easily
"Free" right...
Its totally not because you weren't paying attention and let the stealth killer sneak up on ya.
No totally "free hits" that you totally couldn't have done anything about. >_>

What is with all these survivor mains suddenly in an uproar over mediocre ol' Wraith? It's the Wraith, just use your eyes and he's not a threat.
Simple:
A content creator called them OP and they are bandwagoning hard.
This always happens just like what happened with demo a month or two ago.
-
Its an insanely rare map(Only gotten it once since it got renabled) but also an insanely poorly made.
Trust me you don't want to play on it especially if you play blight/billy or aren't a RE fan who knows the layout by heart.
-
I rate this post:
Bait out of 10.
Nothing constructive was added and is actively manipulative with trying to blame DCs on wraith instead of the lack of a DC penalty.
-
Its wraith mainly because he has a good baseline power and add-ons.
Meanwhile trapper has a weak baseline with being heavily add-on dependent.
Also Billy has an average baseline with no good add-ons to speak of outside of low pro chains and apex muffler.
I think a lot of the votes for billy are people who are traumatized by insta saw billy.

So they specifically said that the system wasn't ever going to look at anything else and that it's just going to go by the number of reports?
No?
That's why I'm annoyed. Because the entire community went dumb and decided that because they didn't elaborate on the specifics of the system, that the system had nothing to it.
It IS being looked at BECAUSE the community reaction to it was so horrible.
I have said this already in this very thread.

Why wouldn't we when that's literally how they said it will work.
Also look at the screen shot from the official announcement of the system above your comment.

And here we have another one who thinks that such an insane amount of exposition is proof that there is nothing more and we should all run.
<_> I was just pointing out what came out of the horse's mouth and how the community reaction to it got the devs to reconsider it.

People are scared and don't understand the concept of an automated banning system. They think that if they get report enough by anyone and for any reason, they'll get banned.
It's just mob mentality or whatever you want to call it, people switched their brains off and followed the loudest screamers.
The devs literally said on stream when the announced it that if you get enough reports your banned.
Its not people making it up its the devs saying it works in an extremely stupid way then backpedaled HARD on their statements.

Ah yes.... Why come with interesting builds & challenges when u can literally play Blight on easy mode and dominate 99% of your matches...
I don't like you.... You are always the first to comment and give snarky / smartass comments like these that gather the most upvotes..
Being honest with how buggy and outright broken blight's power is, its not hard to see why people go for the strongest build to make up for all the game breaking bugs he has.
There's also the fact that some maps like ormond or the new RE map are both borderline unplayable for blight for separate reasons.
That's all before you realize this is in addition to how unforgiving his power is.
-
As others have pointed out:
There are so many other perks that work with being slugged that need this buff more then iron will.
-
Ones an info perk while the other is an anti loop perk.
Idk how you can compare two by perk type even before you look at their completely unrelated mechanics.
Apples and Oranges buddy!

I know but this person said that fountains should not reset and fully infected survivors cant repair gens. Problem is that there would be games where every fountain would be red and every survivor fully infected which gives her chance to take game hostage and keep survivors there to make them quit.
When all fountains become corrupt they become pure and the plague forcibly enters corrupt purge.
That's is how plague has worked since launch.
Edit: Aka plague is designed in a way so survivors can always cleanse.
-
@Lord_Tony said:
We have so many killers with instant downs now oni, leatherface, billy, ghostface, myers, etc
So why doesn't plague get instant downs with her power?
Survivors hold her power hostage and if they don't heal then they are in the broken state for easy hits but if they do heal now t hey're fully healed and you have a situational power that can only damage them but not put them in broken state and you have to hit them twice now.
for a power this situational and is 100% within the survivor's control it should be buffed a bit
Plague needs buff but not to her damage as she can deal a lot.
She mainly needs ways of actually getting to use corrupt purge more as her fountains spawn so far away from everything that she can never even grab 90% of them across all of the games I have both played with and against the plague.

I mean Simon obviously wouldn't have his whip/items. He's buff yeah but he's still a normal human at the end of the day.
The main issue is the guy I am refering too is one of the ONLY VALID SURVIVORS!
The developers have rules for survivors being able to logically repair generators...Which sadly most of the Castlevania cast can't do but the guy I referenced and a select few others of equal ridiculousness.

I wish i was making that up.

My problem with hexes is that most just aren't strong enough to be hexes or are too slow for being hexes:
Crowd Control would be fine if it wasn't a hex as its a technically more powerful Bamboozle but, the killer lacks any control over it and it lacks a secondary stat unlike Bamboozle.
Blood Favour wouldn't be good even if it wasn't a hex.
Thrill/Retribution are only hexes just to be a decoys. They really don't need to be hexes otherwise.
Lullaby asks you for nearly the same condition as Devour Hope for a much worse effect(Wonky skill checks vs instant downs and moriing everyone).
Third Seal...Just doesn't work and idk what can be done to address its issues other then a full rework. Its both too slow and weak but also stomps solos too hard.
-
I hope there will never be a point where killers have to hunt down totems as it costs them too much time.
Think about plague with her pools effectively having that and most of the time unless survivors run into a corrupted pool the plague has no time to pick up her own empowerment.
I hope that boon totems are extra totem spawns the SURVIVORS have to break for a permanent buff.
Or if its powerful a short window/one time use buff you have to break the totem to get active.

Having undetectable perks are fine. Tinkerer does need a cooldown though, because it's too opressive.
Tinkerer doesn't have a cooldown as its activation is solely dependent on survivors triggering it.
-
Given how much optimization/balancing content the devs have dropped in the past when they didn't give a hard deadline.
I do not feel like the devs can function without hard deadline.
Aka "If you don't put their feet to the flames" nothing gets done.

The forum rules do say not to post bait in the rules.
So it just seemed like they had broken that minor rule so much that the mods had to act on it.
-
@WexlerWendigo said:
This is what happens when they simply buff a killer’s numbers instead of putting an effort into improving them. Look at how much better the Doctor rework was.
Here's a better question:
How COULD you ever buff any killer without increasing their camp/tunneling.
I mean if you played against a doctor who knows how to camp with him you literally can't unhook infront of him as he will infinitely prevent unhooking with shock therapy's interupt/lockout.
-

Yeah I don't have a problem with being down when I'm unhooking, that's the decision I made and that makes sense from a fundamental standpoint. Killer grabs aren't even consistent as a mechanic lol why can you only be grabbed from pallets and windows when you're injured but can be grabbed on generators and unhooks when you're healthy? It makes no sense and is way too punishing just like how being grabbed through a window while healthy would be too punishing. If you're unhooking you should go down in 2 hits and not 1, it's dumb IMO.
Borrowed Time is part of the reason why it exists with "healthy" survivors.
Endurance is weird and makes you count as healthy as Oni gets his bonus power charge from hitting healthy survivors but he also gets it from hitting survivors with Endurance because of that weird rule.
So the perk you wanted to use it one of the main reason why it exists is to stop the chain BT unhooks.
As for generator grabs its there to try to punish survivors who try to push a generator in the killer's face/Reward stealth killers who successfully sneak up on a survivor.
