  • Its mainly due to the rarity changes this year to cakes:

In nearly all previous anniversary cake like items(Survivor pudding/cakes/Party streames included) were originally browns aka commons during their respective events.

However this year they were changed to yellows aka uncommons which makes them MUCH rarer and more expensive to buy in the blood web.

  • Sadly I doubt that the map is good for jump scare michael just given its sheer size and long non steathable hallways.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Fun fact, a lot of the killers that are playing right now are survivor mains.

Yep and most of them do and admit to, doing the same things they repeatedly complain about both in game and on the forums because:

"Rules for The. Not for Me!"

Its why all the camping, tunneling, and, NOED posts always ring so hollow to me.

  • Given that old Freddy was battle with the Wraith for the title of being the single worst and most add-on dependent killer in the game...

No he was insanely weak and often viewed as a joke.

  • I think both of them are rather overrated.

All seeing: as Wraith while having a stronger anti loop while invisible anyways the aura reveal makes something that's already good better but the same effect can usually be gotten with the perk "I'm all Ears".

Also Wraith has multiple perks and add-ons that help tracking so it isn't out of place like blight's reveal add-on. All seeing blood is just the best out of the batch. Aka WRAITH IS SUPPOSED TO FIND YOU!

Silent bell is mainly useful on people who don't pay attention...Which is most potatoes but holding that against the perk is rather irrelevant to how good it is as soot ghost can do the same thing against them as a brown add-on.

They are both good add-ons but I feel like they are highly overrated by the community.

  • Starstruck punishes hook rushing HARD!

Add in STBFL and without an endurance effect it would be literally impossible for them to hook rush/bomb you.

Guess survivors are fed up with tryharding killers so they they take out their frustration on the next killer. And that killer is gonna tryhard against the next group of survivors afterwards.

    A never ending cycle.

Also ngl i find it hard to believe you wanted to help them out when just a few days ago you made a thread asking which killer is the best to facecamp with. You seem to enjoy making other peoples games miserable for some reason.

Playing Devil's Advocate(I don't believe this but bring it up anyways):

They could now be doing the archives to rush the borderline farming required archives such as the double corrupt purge hit X2 challenge before the rift ends in a week and a half.

Or the get 4 obsession hooks in one game or 4 activated beat traps within 10 meters of a pallet/vault or ext.

Is anyone else really concerned about this?

I usually am more of the side of not nerfing killer related things. Noed always has been one of the things i think should be reworked. I disagree with the "just do bones" argument as it simply consumes too much time on higher level play. It might be a different story with counterforce in the game, we will see. I still am really worried about this though. It seems really really powerful.

If you see no gen slowdown in the game assume its one of two things:

Hyper snowball with high detection/chase power/Slugging power.

    Or

Its an end game build so "Do Bones!" and leave as soon as you can.

Its actually really easy to tell when the killer has NOED so you can prioritize bones over gens.

  • Why would we when that's ultimately 90% of the posts on the forum no matter how veiled they are.

  • Its the embodiment of:

    "Pre-throw pallets and hold W."

There's a lot of god pallets on that map that can't be looped but are a forced pre-throw if you want to use them at all meaning more holding W until you reach one you can loop.

Such as every underground hallway blocking pallet on that map such as the two by the basement hallway and the ones that often spawn on boxes that again completely block the underground hallways.

  • What killers I am bad against and what killers are obsessed with me are usually two very different things:

I am usually horrible against clowns but clowns barely pay attention to me.

Billy,Huntress,Deathslinger all tend to chase me endlessly even if it costs them all 5 gens for whatever reason.

Deathslingers often find out that some people can in fact avoid their long distance shots all day long and huntresses/billys learn how to use M1 with me.

  • @LeleLP said:

Save your cakes don't bother using them. Because you won't get anything from them. Killers will make sure you get next to nothing if you bring them.

You say that like survivors don't try to do the same thing with gen rushing(So many toolboxes with BNP's and Prove thyself) and keys as an Archive challenge requires a skeleton key or rainbow map escape to complete.

So its not uncommon for even the killer to get less then 15k points this event.

  • @Brokenbones said:

I seem to get Fractured Cowshed so often these days when I'm playing survivor.

How they managed to not fix such a fundementally broken map is beyond me, it's so unfair for killer

The game's tracking is fundamentally balanced around bright auras and scratch marks contrasting with dark environments.

Tracking on those maps is nightmarish as its so bright that its really hard to see some auras and scratch marks making killers lose survivors for no reason.

  • I haven't noticed any more tunneling then normal.

Just a LOT of survivors trying to be as annoying as possible and doing things like body blocking with BT, or stalking the killer with flashlights, or Tbagging at every pallet, and finally Trying to flashlight at every pallet.

Then they complain when they die first.

I swear these survivors have no self awareness to realize antagonizing the killer makes the killer go for you.

Well, I apologize for not being clear.

Evolve was a AAA attempt at this genre. It failed because of corporate greed. Is that what you want for DbD?

Evolve died because the Monster player usually did within the first 2 minutes of every game when the Hunters became remotely competent.

Evolve was fundamentally flawed by concept having the 1 being weaker then the 4 and being easily kill-able from the beginning of the match even with the Monster's head start.

Okay, so this is punishment for Survivors being so greedy past previous events.

I already have base 4 w/ Nea and Ace but for what price, so it's enough, my mates in solo queue still do nothing. I'll just complete my Killers where I have maybe 12 crowns past 12 games, where I casually hooking survivors without high pressure.

I never said it was fair but like many things in DbD:

"Survivors had nice things until survivors abused the nice things and now they don't have nice things"

Sadly the toxic survivors ruin it for everyone.

  • They are being controlled by an eldritch god known as the entity that could easily be a great old one as it has a lot of similarities to Azanoth.

I mean all of legion is so screwed in the head that they can't even reconize jeff who they had hired in the past to make art of the legion for them.

They should react to jeff but are too corrupted by the entity to even recognize him and the same probably goes for all killers.

  • I haven't actually run into any farmers at all in this event so far at red ranks.

I think most people just want to play normally.

However I have noticed that survivors have been going out of their way to be extra annoying this event but I tend to be a troll magnet so meh.

  • It was mainly done because of how survivors have acted with past events:

In some of the older events survivors would grab all the event items/currency they could in the match then purposely suicide to get into another match faster to complete the event.

This caused games to become so horrible for survivors that it forced the devs to make survivors be unable to get event items/Currency without escaping to force them to actually play the game properly during events.

  • It simply looks like a better halo which is easy to make fashion for.

Meanwhile the 5th years look like a magic symbol which while nice is less applicable design wise to fashion due to the general lack of pure magic in the game.

But stats say that Nemesis is the most played killer right now🤔

So were both the Trickster and the Twins when they were released too.

So it really doesn't mean much until they stop being new.

  • Trickster as he just kinda exists with no real purpose nor is he that much of a threat.

It would also set a actual standard that BHVR would actually rework characters when needed instead of waiting for years of killers being bad/badly made before they actually decide to fix them.

  • Its because people are used to wraith being F tier for most of DbD's life and now that he's not people aren't used to playing against him.

This means they try to bully wraith back when it was bad.

To give you an idea of how bad he was his most recent change was the SECOND TIME WINDSTORM WAS MADE BASELINE!

For those of you who don't know the first version of windstorm was wraith's mini sprint burst out of stealth...Yes he was that awful that he didn't even have that nor his high movement speed for most of his existence.

  • No as that would eventually cause infinite queues if it did as people would just block anyone who has beaten them.

It would also make match making so complicated that all queues even for it become infinite could take hours to find for example: a killer who meets the matching but isn't block by ANY of the survivors and who hasn't block any of said survivors themselves.

  • As a killer I usually just grab my strongest add-ons as a killer for them as 90% of the time they are in a 3+ man SWF group.

They also tend to send me to Haddonfield or Spring Wood about 50%-75% of the time anyways so.... Ya... I don't play nice when they do that.

As a survivor I just try to ignore them as they tend to get weird when you acknowledge them.

Plus they tend to send me to Haddonfield or oddly Midwich a lot when I am survivor with them about 50%-75% of the time.

  • Why do survivor mains get upset at Camping/tunneling?

I mean its just the killer doing their objective in the most effective way possible.

What is there for a survivor main to be upset about Camping/Tunneling?

  • The video also wants a lot if not all killers to be changed to long down time/high pressure killers aka turning every killer into the Legion.

This would cause the game to become a complete slog and extremely stagnant very quickly due to all the slow down he wants on every killer(Everyone is Forever Legion/Freddy).

This is along with the lack of killer variety which causes a lack of survivor game-play variety and would kill the game very quickly.

Its a rather horribly thought through video.

  • I have probably mastered none of the characters but I do love what little high skill shenanigans that I can pull on killers like The Blight or The Doctor.

A lot of killers have an insanely high mastery/skill ceiling once you start to experiment with them.

  • @aroell said:

Why would people ever defend this add on? It’s clearly op and needs a change.

It requires Michael to reach blood lust level 2 or PWRF at max stacks to even have normal movement speed with it due to how severe the movement speed penalty is.

You can just force a grab by jumping into a locker to prevent the tier 3 instant kill.

Finally it realistically requires stalking nearly all stalk from all survivors(Or literally every single last drop from 3 survivors) so you do have a say if it even goes off.

In realistic games he has to get around to you eventually to reach tier 3; Unlike the tombstone piece where he can easily 99% it on your teammate then mori you for your team's mistakes.

For my PoV, reduce map size by alot will help Killer in general quickly patrol from Gen to Gen. The chase is much easier being lead for working Gen, force survivors to leave. And pressure in general will be increased.

    https://youtu.be/2WXNVJ6EXT0

In this vid, Tofu said about Devs keep having killer with immense chase power (DeathSlinger, PH, Clown...). Which make survivor kindly hopeless in 1v1 . But Killer still lose in 1v4 because of map size.

I feel that Killer who hard to down but easy to pressure is what to make the game interactive between Killer to all 4 survivors.

As for me, sometimes facing killers who slug. I find the game much much more tense and fun (as long as they just dont leave us bleed to death after all 4 dying)

Wait I have heard the "Hard to down but easy to pressure with" before...

That's LEGION everyone's most favorite killer ever and his 30+ min long games!...

O wait most people hate Legion!

You know as surv you should be able to loop the killer more than 5 secs, right?

I never said you couldn't last longer then 5 second but they said they hate looping until they are downed...

Which is the entire point of looping is to stall how long it takes for you to go down as your not supposed to be immortal while looping.

  • So the killers were forced to camp and tunnel to win against your 3+ SWF group?

    Color me surprised!

  • @SilentPill said:

Maybe if they gave survivors a viable way to break out of a chase entirely instead of just looping until they go down.

There’s no reason not to get as much distance as possible, since plenty of killers are borderline uncounterable once they close the gap.

You know your not supposed to be able to loop the killer forever right?

  • Yes... If your playing a hyper snowball build and go for mass slugging every single game.

Its extremely inconsistent but technically viable on some killers, however generator slowdown is always more reliable.

  • Part of the issue is that a lot of the newer maps encourage Hold W with their breakable walls/god pallets.

I mean if a god pallet is pre thrown for you, you have no reason not to vault and hold W.

This also goes for god pallet heavy reworked maps like the game because hold W, pre throw god pallet, and win game.

There's no reason to try to loop a lot of these pallets as the killer has to kick them to not get infinited.

Even for the ones you do loop its a hold W then throw after 1-2 loops as your looping skills don't matter as there's no way for the average killer to play them.

Looping skills mean very little on several of the newer/reworked maps.

  • Part of the issues with survivor Queue times is that the game needs MORE then a 1(Killer) to 4(Survivors) ratio for queues to work properly.

The reason being is that survivors can get out of games MUCH faster then the killer as they can leave the moment they die while the killer has to wait until the end.

So every time a survivor dies that's one more survivor in queue so realistically we'd need closer to a 1(Killer) to 3(Survivors) ratio to get the survivors who re-queued after dying into a game to play within a reasonable amount of time.

So there could very well be a perfect 20/80 split but that ratio wouldn't be good enough to get survivors into games quickly.

  • Its how they do it in the archives version so why not the achievements?

  • Idk where your only seeing survivor nerfs but there's been endless complaining about killers and killer mains on those forum.

I mean you'd have to purposely as its hard not to see dozens of them a day here.

  • Meanwhile on "The Game" I have literally never been sawed when I am near a pillar because his hit boxes are so screwed that the game auto hits the pillar instead of me.

He needs his rework reverted as he is so buggy and glitchy(with worthless add-ons to boot) that I feel bad for billy players.

  • Its more of the game's auto desist ("Aim Dressing") proving why it shouldn't be in the game.

Its also one of the many annoying mechanics that ultimately serve no purpose but to screw the killer over randomly.

It also can drag your camera around wildly because of things like dead hard which can cause motion sickness.

Yet despite being complained about for years and the general lack of killers the developers do nothing about it despite it driving off some of said killers.

  • Given how much its been over heating my PC idk if my computer can even handle the game in a few patches unless the devs do some serious optimization overhauls.

I can see the same thing happening for console players as well who also might not have a choice but to leave the game due to the horrible optimization.

  • I just don't see how its entire infection into body snatching gimmick could ever work in DbD.

Its not that it thematically wouldn't fit(it would be quiet the stretch thematically but overall fine), its just would be impossible to implement without having it losing both its identity and appeal.

  • If it gets a 10 second stun the survivor should become permanently DOOMED!

DOOMED!: The next time the survivor takes damage for any reason the entity kills them by its own hand(EGC time out death animation). Trying to escape by the hatch while DOOMED! causes the entity to kill the survivor by its own hand as well.

Any survivors that died while DOOMED! also forfeit all earned BP to the killer.

I mean its only fair for wanting to make the killer auto lose on DS activation for the survivor to lose EVERYTHING if they get damaged again afterwords. Btw this also includes things like infection damage/disarming bloody coil bear traps instantly killing you.

  • I mainly don't get why the developers don't turn on even a blood rush(1.5 times bp gain event) for the weekends.

It wouldn't "Break the blood point economy" and would encourage people to queue up more on the weekends.

That's along with letting people who don't have a lot time to grind to enjoy the slightly faster progression.

  • @BingBongMan said:

    If it's 1v4, don't make the 4 more powerful than the 1.

The team should have to work together to have an EQUAL chance if winning against the 1.

But a 1v1 should be heavily favoring the monster or killer, or what have you.

This is what killed Evolve as the 4 hunters out powered the one monster at the beginning of the game which often lead to the monster almost always dying in under 2 mins every single game once the hunters weren't complete potatoes.

So the team of 4 had 30+ min queues only to kill the the lone player within 2 mins OR LESS(This is counting the 1 min head start the monster gets) solely because the 4 out powered the one.

  • One: its not a rule,

Two: You'd be surprised by how many survivors hate farming when there's only one DC.

So for me its mainly when in the match they DC.

As a survivor who DCs on death hook I wouldn't farm with the remaining team over(Especially when they DC after I down them).

If a survivor DCes before the first down then maybe.

Or if two non death hook survivors DC.

  • I'd say its one of the most pointless add-ons in the game rather then one of the worst.

Nearly all BP farming add-ons gameplay effects are strictly negative, all in exchange for bonus Deviousness BP that you'd usually won't need to max-out deviousness.

  • That is known as a "Fat Shame" spot and it should be reported in the bug section as its map generation bugging out.

  • None need nerfs and do you really need to post what is effectively the same thread 4 times in a row?

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

It doesn't really matter what killer it would be, but the survivor would HAVE to be Shaggy--

and one of his perks has to be hopping into a locker and randomly popping out of another locker.
