  • Its a meme build that only really works on specific indoor maps.

If a build doesn't work on the overwhelming majority of maps then its auto D tier.

  • People seem to forget how many freaking buffs Blight got NEARLY EVERY SINGLE PATCH!

Also nemesis will NEVER be S tier in his current iteration as you'd need mobility for that status as mobility is king in DbD.

Finally most people didn't consider the twins good even though some content creators said they were good.

  • Yep blight has been extra glitchy this patch in general including with his lethal rush attack sometimes just not hitting a survivor at all(just a miss not a phantom hit like what haunts billy) despite physically hitting them for no reason.

So ya everyone has been having issues with him but this isn't the only thread about it so don't be too upset if people mainly continue the preexisting threads.

  • My main issue with blast mine is how mindless it is as there is no penalty for failing to get the killer to trigger the trap.

You DON'T need to redo the activation requirements if an activation fails to stun the killer meaning it only has effectively a 3 second down time where a generator isn't trapped.

Have that across 4 survivors and you can imagine the results when ALL remaining generators are trapped or the last one getting trapped 4 times.

Also its actually fairly easy for it to time out Pop preventing it from activating unless the generator that needs to be kicked is right next to the hook.

Also for as much as people are trying to underplay 5 seconds effective stun, that's the stun duration as FREAKING DECISIVE STRIKE!

  • Its a game breaking amount of De-sync like the kind that can get you exhausted on the ground despite you trying to dead hard.

I am honestly surprised this hasn't happened more but I will give the dev's credit on this as dedicated servers at least prevent this level of De-sync from happening normally.

Trust me this wasn't that unusual of a sight when we had Peer to Peer connections.

  • I have been on the floor exhausted much more then normal this patch from dead hard so I think something's up.

It probably is just with all the poor optimization and lag spikes causing every thing to break given how short of a window you actually have to use it properly to dodge an attack.

With how small said window is any noticeable amount of lag can break it.

  • No one can blame you for leaving against NOED if you can't find the totem before the killer finds you or camps a teammate.

  • I'd mainly add in bonus survival BP being given to all living survivors once a generator is completed reguardless of whom completes it.

It would also give a bonus chunk of either survival BP if a survivor completed at least half the generator.

Finally I'd increase the amount of BP gained from normal skill checks from 50 to 100 as the BP difference between getting 5 greats(1500 BP) vs 5 goods(250) is 1250 the current amount soloing a generator gives.

Mind you this WOULDN'T invalidate escaping as escaping should count for half of your survival BP.

  • He's an extremely inconsistent killer is one of his main issues:

His zombies can give him a lot of information a minor amounts of stalling but at the same time they could be imitating an immersed Claudette and hide in a corner doing nothing all game.

His power doesn't always work as intended due to how weirdly inconsistent the objects are made in this game to were two near idential objects can have one letting you whip other it and the other preventing you from whipping over it.

Also he's like oni were if he gets a slow start he's even worse off then most killer as if he loses a generator ot two before tier 2 he's extremely far behind.

So its very hard to tell how good he is because of how much zombie RNG and map spawns can be either massively helpful or hurtful to you.

Coin offerings could cause all sorts of problems with that though.

Why would coins which in this example would spawn "chests" objects meanwhile this perk would spawn "junk chests" objects cause issues?

Its why my suggestion separates the extra "chest" perk spawns from the normal chest objects in the game.

Edit: The developers have already done this idea with nemesis and his vaccine chests(they aren't the same looking but are a seperate chest entity with its own drop pool).

  • I feel like if the devs just made a seperate but identical chest object(aka junk chests) it would fix the perk.

As this would for example let the devs force the two extra junk chests to always drop a half depleted brown med-kit or a brown toolbox instead of needing to mess with the chest drop pool for normal chests.

It would expose that your using it but it also is trolling the survivor as half depleted brown med-kits and toolboxes are effectively useless in most situations.

    TBH, BBQ is fine.

The only thing that irks me though is killers pretending that aura reading is useless when they pretty much depend on it when equipping BBQ.

That's like saying I only use Kindred to see where my allies are and not to see where the killer is.

If people wanted the reveal from hooking someone thrilling tremors does the job but better AND is a pseudo slowdown perk at the same time!

  • This has been happening more or less since her nerf because for some reason the token system they used for the nurse is insanely buggy and poorly made.

  • @CashelP14 said:

    Number of reasons:

    • At low ranks killers get 4ks quite easily which is where the majority of the player base is.
    • A good killer (the person playing the killer) will beat most teams no matter who they're playing.
    • Noed. Literally last night had a Huntress who got 0 hooks the whole game get a 4k because of noed.
    • Camping/Tunnelling. Usually a bad killer game will result in some sort of camping/tunnelling which will get at least 1 kill but usually more because of altruistic survivors.

Feel like these are the main reasons. Killer isn't op, it's just that most of the player base is bad at the game.

I have so many questions for how a Huntress a 110% killer whose power doesn't get effected by NOED managed to get a 4k from NOED.

  • It literally exists solely to stop infinite loops which still exist.

Its a band-aid for bad map design that from the looks of it will never go away.

  • This always happens with a new killer being released.

Even the Trickster and Twins release had this happen.

Also survivor is quickly becoming unbearable with people crashing and the effective lack of a DC penalty atm.

Firecrackers, flashbangs and flashlights can be avoided by looking up in the sky. The problem is, I've looked up when I saw Leon throw it down and I'll sometimes STILL get blinded. That's why its a bug. Been playing for over 4 years and never had an issue with Chinese fire crackers or new year party starters.

For this I have also had the opposite happen:

When I was facing against a Leon that I was sparing due to his team DCing on him(one even DCed the moment the match loaded in) I was staring directly at a flash bang he had thrown(to try to give him some more BP) and didn't get blinded at all.

Also it was in the middle of an open room with no LoS blockers.

Edit: The map was "The Game" if that matters at all.

  • From what I have heard DC penalties have been removed/heavily reduced so we are now seeing how they game has been like without them.

So no you did nothing wrong its just a bunch of survivors trying to abuse the effective lack of DC penalties while they still have them.

  • Legion is a noob-stomper.

If you group up and constantly heal games against legion will never end with the survivors winning.

Splitting up and running away if your in Legion's Terror radius when someone gets hit by deep wounds will keep you golden against legion.

Heck in most of my red rank legion games I can go through multiple games without using my power because I am never given a good opportunity to use it by the competent survivors.

  • This was such a close tie with old events and old map looks/layouts.

I gave it to the old maps solely because it would affect the game more.

  • The thing you'll notice with a lot of under-powered killers is that they tend to camp and tunnel a lot to make up for how weak they actually are.

I mean the twins for example are nearly unplayable unless you camp/tunnel.

  • Eruption is a time sink regression perk meanwhile surge is just additive/bonus regression.

Eruption is good but takes a lot of time to get the best results which you don't always have.

Meanwhile surge is good for stacking with other slowdown perks as its one of the few that can effect regressing generators let alone multiple but isn't good enough to stand alone as your sole regression perk.

Surge Imo still needs a buff and eruption might need one too for how much you have to invest into it.

  • It seems like he used to have a michael like power were he could repeatedly enter and exit tier 3 but that was scrapped.

So it seems they forgot to update the daily when they made the change.

  • Part of the issue with WGLF is the fact that it requires your teammate specifically to lose chases in order for you to get stacks. This means if your teammates play too well you can't get unhook stacks!

    Or

actively body block which can easily get you killed.

Also there are only 6 possible unhook stacks for it spread across 4 survivors so actually getting more then 1/2 stacks is unrealistic.

It mainly just needs to be more easily stacked then you'd see it every single game.

    @SleepyWillo said:

Stacks should be changedfor WGLF. It should, instead, grant stack for every gen that gets completed, for a total of 5 gens. Each stack grants 20% bonus BP. That seems to put it on par with bbqstacks for ease of acquiring....

If WGLF was like this then I fully expect to see it every game.

  • Survivors make their own demons.

I mean I even get screamed at by survivors for letting someone have the hatch when i slaughtered them while still having 5 gens left.

Seriously what's wrong with the survivors complaining I was being NICE TO THEM and specifically complaining about me being NICE TO THEM.

  • Given how far apart his traps spawn and need to be collected it really doesn't make sense for him to have a carry limit.

I mean good luck even picking up all traps on maps like red forest or the swamp maps before the game ends.

  • The rectangular box hitbox wouldn't work as the hatchets are spinning.

This means it will need to have a at the smallest a gain coin like hitbox to cover anywhere it could be in its spinning animation.

Its also why the newer projectiles don't spin as if they did they'd need the same type of hitboxes that hatchets have.

I like how Sluzzy has never complained about Spirit or Nurse before but only makes threads complaining about things that aren’t problematic.

Remember they main Nurse which is probably why they don't talk about them.

    Those add-ons were fine.

In typical BHVR fashion, they don't look at WHY those add-ons are good, they just nerf them instead of trying to buff other add-ons to be on the same level

Yep and referring to the buffed add-ons:

The developers are also not aware enough that it doesn't matter how much undetectable you give demo when Demo is loud enough to effectively have a "Lullaby" from just walking.

Also rat tail is still WEAKER then it was before they nerfed it for no reason in the add-on pass so people STILL won't be touching it.

  • Same reason survivors BM when they win:

Some people are just sore winners and they'd want to taunt no matter how petty it makes them.

  • What that tar oozing skull is the perfect ideal of health the developers are trying to achieve.

After all why do you think they put it there as the icon for the game's health?

Plague can need as much as double that, depending on how much vomit hits survivors. Legion can’t even down survivors with his power. Trickster needs to hit survivors 16 times.

Plague can also need a third of that as well if a single glob hits a fully infected survivor(Whom she may never have even vile purged due to cross infection) for a down.

So plague hit wise is so all over the place that its kinda irrelevant.

Also trying to bring up trickster for why extra hits being needed/Not horrible is rather self defeating to say the least.

  • @mylesmylo said:

I hate that killers who don't make an attempt to leave a hooked survivor still get BP stacks. Other then that I don't really have a problem with it, I can just enter a locker for a couple seconds if I'm that desperate to not be seen.

The BP the killer gains is irrelevant to the survivors and the killer leaving to chase/hook other survivors gets them their other stacks...

So I really don't understand that complaint.

  • The developers have stated repeatedly that they put the most stable build onto the PTB NOT the most up to date build.

It means that the PTB isn't meant for anything outside of advertisement in the developer's eyes.

  • @Brokenbones said:

The blind is the most pointless part of it though

Blinding a killer who's not in chase or picking someone up does basically nothing

Its actually a light burn aka if it successfully blinds it stuns the killer which is how it interrupts kicks.

Hmm I've had the game running for 5 minutes and my xbox is already hot as hell should I risk it?

You should check the graphics setting when you load it up as they might have been randomly set to ultra which has been causing over heating issues for my PC.

  • Can I just warn people here that at least my graphics setting have been randomly getting switched to ultra(highest) when I am using lower graphics settings.

So I hope people are checking their graphics to turn them back down if this glitch is happening to anyone else.

  • I have de-pipped and lost a rank in games were I have gotten all 4 iri emblems(aka a double pip) this patch.

But herin lies my complaint. They did such a good job before. Ghostface was well written too, and he's liscenced. I'm sure a skilled writer could find ways to make Capcom happy, while still doing a good story.

Ghost face is a semi licensed killer as they got the license to the mask from the company that actually owns it but not the scream franchise(as scream licensed it from said company) hence why there's nothing from scream in DbD.

Aka Ghost Face is both an original killer story wise while his appearance is licensed making him both paradoxically an applicable example and not applicable at the same time.

When the devs nerf survivor perks: ...

When the devs accidently sneeze on anything killer related: OMG WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT??? DO YOU EVEN PLAY YOUR OWN GAME??? GOD THE DEVS ARE RANK 20 SURVIVOR MAINS!!! YOURE KILLING YOUR OWN GAME!!!

You clearly weren't here for the DS nerf if you think survivors weren't doing the same dang thing your trying to pin solely on the killer role.

Don’t campers forget they are playing agaisnt a real person? They have every right to be mad. Autoban will finally fix this game.

Given that I have been called a camper after I literally moried all 4 survivors with DEVOUR HOPE...

I wouldn't trust most survivors words on camping.

  • I think Nemesis is just painfully mediocre.

He accels at nothing and lacks an identity of doing anything.

Freddy and Demo both are also jack of all trades.

However Freddy has better generator defence meanwhile with the add-on rework Demo is a lot stronger of a chaser with slightly higher lethality then average with his reworked shred add-ons + STBFL.

So Nemesis doesn't really accel at any sub area of being a jack of all trades as he lacks the lethality of demo nor the generator defence of Freddy and his only defying factor being tracking is mostly RNG dependent(zombies tracking is great but completely unreliable).

  • I have been getting them on PC as killer mainly but also occasionally as survivor(try playing blight with 2-3 second long lag spikes every other rush).

However the main issue I have noticed is that even PC killers are getting lagged out of the game(Lag induced Crash/DC).

For example: When I was playing as a survivor against a Nemesis who got stuck in an endless survivor hooking animation loop for 10 seconds until he was forcibly DCed.

Edit: I also noticed the game forcibly changed my graphics settings to ultra from my normal settings of medium.

  • The only time I have ever had them hit me or my teammates is when nemesis purposely pushed survivors into them:

like when a nemesis pushed me into a zombie blocked killer shack(it was rotten field so it was literally the only thing to loop that I could reach).

    Or

When nemesis purposely went out of their way to hook a survivor near a zombie which the zombie got a melee hit off on the rescuing survivor.

Notice how the Nemesis player had to set up these zombie hits to ever hit anyone in my games.

  • @Science_Guy said:

Odd that someone who's mastered Nurse would play a new killer for a few hours, decide the learning curve is too difficult, and declare said killer weak.

I mean if nurse had to do up to EIGHT 3 hit chases each game(this baseline without any survivor shenanigans) she would be rather terrible too.

  • Abuse your anti tunnel and lose your right to complain about tunneling:

If you do it to me when I am the killer I'll probably tunnel you to death and not feel bad about it.

    or

If you do it to the killer when I am your teammate your probably going to be tunneled to death and I won't feel even remotely bad for you.

I never try to do it intentionally and if I do I fully expect/accept getting tunneled out of the game for it.

  • I think it overrides monstrous given its a special unhook(giving the survivor broken for X seconds).

I see, not good if he needed to glue them to get a hit with the chainsaw...

He also more or less had glitched out stats as well such as his chainsaw acceleration(how fast he builds up movement speed while chainsawing) more or less didn't work leaving him at his minimum chain saw movement speed for years.

It also made all acceleration add-ons worthless like his chili add-ons due to this bug.

So he was effectively broken and near unplayable mess for years.

That was before slinger and trickster’s release so at this point they have no excuse to have her hitboxes the way they are when they have made 2 ranged killers with great and accurate hitboxes

Given that unlike the other two the huntress' projectile is spinning it'll have to have a larger then seen hitbox to cover every where it could be in the animation.

While not a large sphere it would still be a large coin in order for it to be remotely usable.

  • @MadLordJack said:

That's actually quite a good thing. Devour Hope is an insanely strong perk and if it's actually properly hidden then barring random luck that's a default win if the survivors only have two minutes warning to look for it, and that's being both generous with the time and assuming no Undying, especially since all this would do is curse people as stated, not reveal the specific Hex.

You clearly don't play with Devour Hope enough if you think it lasts longer then getting one instant hit in most games or if it even lasts long enough to even get to 3 stacks.

Also most games against devour hope when it goes off quickly turn into an immersion simulator as all the survivors are hiding while trying to find the totem.

Its NOT a meta perk for a reason as it currently stands its too easily broken before it does anything and how games slow down to a crawl once its actually in play.

Edit: This is all before we consider the fact that survivors can play in such a way that prevents token generator like hook bombing with BT or dragging you to the hook when they make bad unhooks.
