  • Toxicity is on both sides of the field Killers can be just as toxic as survivors.

Someday you'll encounter killers who are toxic for no reason someday you'll encounter survivors war toxic for no reason.

Even the US vs them mentality aside survivors can still be toxic to other survivors and I'm pretty sure if killers were ever allowed to work together (2v8 mode whenever you're ready devs) there would killers who are toxic to killers

On hold too much weight in or you'll be here forever

  • Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but both Amanda and tapp's cosmetics are the last in in the chain.

Today is going to be Min and Wraith

Next week will be Huntress and Dwight

The week after that is the Pig with the leather outfit and the undercover cop

And the last week is the test subject outfit and the Beat cop outfit.

so you're most likely going to be waiting another 3 weeks

  • Honestly we doing the devout emblem has to be the worst thing they've ever done when it comes to the emblems.

    It was really simple before

    1k bronze

    2k silver

    3k gold

    4k iridescent

With the way that it's designed now for you to get that iridescent you practically have to hope the survivors save each other.

If the survivors don't save each other, the survivors just DC or kill themselves on first hook the killer ends up being the one getting punished for something they have absolutely no control over.

Honestly I feel like they just need to revert the change. I've always said this and I'll say it again when you're punishing the killer for doing too well that is bad game design.

Steamrolling in Dead by daylight for killers is actively detrimental. I've had games were I had to reduce how much pressure I was applying because no one was going for any saves.

  • Honestly agree of the point above the only thing that needs to be done is either increasing the Grunt reduction or giving a blood point bonus.

Making the grant reduction only affect you when you're in the dying stages a terrible idea.

The perk in its current status fine it's synergises well with injured builds as you get the benefit of being permanently injured and a lot of stealth benefits as well or sabo build where you could force the killer to leave you on the ground giving you all the free get ups you need.

However will give you this, It's a way better suggestion than the start the match healthy idea that keeps getting thrown around.

  • I'm on Xbox so I have no idea who really has dead by daylight on Xbox in here

  • When it comes to mettle of man and Legion the nerfs where necessary however they were Overboard.

They both had problems that they needed to have addressed however they fix the problem with one hand and then gutted then with the other.

The same thing goes for the pig's end game changes, everyone was suggesting multiple different ways that could have worked a lot better and still being viable for endgame builds. Instead the method a chose which removed any presence that the traps had after the generators were finished practically turning them into glorified cosmetics that gave the piggy some extra bloodpoints.

  • @FireHazard

Awesome Idea dude, I never actually thought of that, fits his character so perfectly yet so simple that adding it would be easy af

  • @SpacingLlamas

Thanks, I tried to think of animations that would fit their personalities and their backstory.

  • @Jdsgames said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/72896/lobby-animations

This would be cool for all killers tbh. Not even 'licensed' ones.

    @Jdsgames

Every killer right now with the exception of the pre store licensed Killers have lobby animations.

Hence why I suggested some for them

    What they said

  • Solo survivor would say is a lot more stressful simply because you have the hope your teammates aren't absolute potatoes.

Which is understandable potatoes can practically screw you over and lead to you losing even though I find it annoying it's just kind of what happens.

There's not much you can do to help that situation if you give solo survivors too much of a boost after their teammates potatoed then that unfair to the killer as they did effectively take down the survivor to him and it's hard to claw back as a solo survivor if your team gets flattened

  • @SunderMun said:

Constantly being able to glide across the map by chasing down your new obsession is incredibly easy; not just a minor benefit but a pretty big advantage and the free downs are very comparable to the Wake Up! bug that came with it.

Glide across the map you would lose two tokens to gain one token off a successful down.

If you think that's comparable then injuring one person with thanatophobia is completely comparable to tier 3 dying light being activated

  • @Milordo

Well sure you can if you are only using wake up for vaulting and not touching gens or healing

The free 15% to generators was broken and very abusable honestly it feels like you didn't really read the post.

You're comparing something that would give a clear unfair advantage to something that was a minor benefit.

Keep in mind you got a token of the downing your obsession hitting your obsession without downing them would still take away a token. Essentially you would lose to tokens but gain one back.

  • @ClogWench

When you downed your obsession it would count as the ending of a chase and give you a token back

  • Honestly with bear traps the only things they would need are.

    1) More perk interaction with jigsaw boxes. I'm not talking dying light because that might be too overpowered but things like huntress lullaby and thanatophobia

    2) Revert the endgame change instead make it slow down the endgame timer if someone has a trap on

    3) she needs an add-on pass. As you said most of the add-on relating to bear traps suck.

Tampered timer: requires activation to be even useful if the trap doesn't activate before it's removed it's a waste

Skillcheck based add-ons: These noob Killers without the ability to add pressure to the skill checks with a skill check build it's incredibly easy to hit skill checks. In fact competent survivors are going to just be hitting greats making interlocking razors useless and the addons that give more skill checks actively detrimental

Status condition add-ons: these things suck hardcore. Due to them being conditional the Trap being on.

It's incredibly easy for someone to simply get the trap off first and avoid the mangled effect.

The exhaustion and haemorrhage effects aren't really beneficial unless you plan on specifically going after people with traps in which case why are you focusing so much attention on the people not doing generators.

Blindness is blindness it's honestly hit-and-miss if it works.

With these addons that definitely needs to be a persistent effect placed on them for example once you get the trap off the condition still lingers for 15 to 30 seconds

Honestly if these three get done and she gets a little bit more tweaking to her crouch and ambush she can actually become a really good killer without being incredibly overpowered

  • @Asssthetic

Most likely the banners they tend to be numbered which gives you a massive hint as to what's coming out when. Honestly I've been seeing different orders so I've been really confused as to what's coming out hence why I asked the question.

But if somebody is confident it's going to be Feng and Wraith I'll go with that. It doesn't matter to me if it's Feng and Wraith or Amanda and Tapp whichever way I get cosmetics I want. So as long as it's not huntress and Dwight I'm good

  • It would be interesting however they already very irritating combinations that could be just made with four I would hate to see what would happen if you were to add even more to that

  • Honestly the perk is only really good on Nurse, Legion and stealth doctor other than that it's trash

  • I would say Amanda.

Mostly because her I don't so kind of useless.

Ever since the endgame change a lot of the Trap based addons add-ons lost a lot of power and usefulness.

They still do the job at slowing down the game when used before the generators are popped add-ons or not. But without the instant activation of endgame things like tampered timer and the extra jigsaw boxes have become more useless

Ever since the adjustment to her crouching combat straps are just a lot less useful.

Besides the first initial sneak attack and using it at a couple of small loops ambush really isn't worth it so video tape and medical file though not useless aren't necessary.

Not Saying Amanda isn't viable she is at least viable though she is rather weak.

It's just that her add-ons don't tend to have that much of an impact so whether you equip them or not it doesn't make much of a difference .

  • @Adriang14

Honestly that's perfect when I play survivor Feng is my main and Wraith is in my top 3 most played Killers along with Amanda and Legion.

I was mostly looking forward to getting Feng, Wraith and Amanda's cosmetics so as long as it's them I'm happy

  • Well I do agree they need to be an extra condition a safe hook rescue is a really easy to abuse.

If you've ever been the victim of borrowed time farming you know exactly what I mean.

As I've stated in previous threads I feel like killer grasp rescue should count towards it so flashlight saves, pallet saves and Locker saves will gain more benefits and it's not as easy to abuse.

  • Now that is some tasty bait

  • @ReikoMori

Honestly that's terrible game designed to be punished for doing your job too well if you completely steamrolled survivors then you risk losing Pips.

Before it was too easy you can gain at least a Pip even if you didn't kill anybody

However they didn't make it more difficult they made it more reliant on the people you're going up against not being absolute potatoes.

I've had have to actively prolong some games because the survivors got steamrolled so quickly and I could lose out on emblem opportunities

  • As much as I personally feel like this would make a better concept sadly we already basically no hatch is safe.

    Quote from Benedict's journal

"This hatch I found baffles me. As I witnessed the last survivor being, yet again, the victim of the dreaded hook I stumbled upon it as I slowly backed away. I finally found my keyhole. With my last strength I opened it, entered its tunnels and somehow found my way to the campfire. Now I sit here contemplating its purpose. Is hope more important for the Entity than I thought? Is this hatch just a treat you give a dog to as encouragement? For now I take what I can get."

  • @FeelsVeryBadMan

"The devs said that they stay in their own respective maps."

    *Looks at ghostface*

    Feels bad man

  • @jeyers

I'll see what I said before in a similar thread.

Perks in addons are constantly being changed and reworked if they get too overpowered or too underpowered.

With that knowledge if you're going to buy an entire DLC for one perk and then be surprised or annoyed when it gets changed then I seriously question your judgement choices.

If you want to make the argument whether the change was too harsh (which I do agree with) that's fine but don't complain because an unbalanced perk got balanced.

Even before Ash released everyone was saying the perk was going to be unbalanced the fact that it was going to be changed was pretty obvious if you still bought it with the intention of having its unbalanced version that's on you.

  • If they fixed protection heads and add something like grasp rescues to reward people who get flashlight saves pallet saves or Locker saves.

I feel like the perk will be actually a lot more usable while still keeping the fact that you have to work for it.

The problem with safe hook rescues is that it's very easy to cheese them out with borrowed time and still basically hook rush and farm people. Which I guess would it be a problem if borrowed time by itself was enough to save a person which nine times out of ten it really isn't as a killer could just very easily chase you down and smack you again

  • You're dealing with a 1.5 timer vs a 5 second timer.

Would be completely ridiculous if you managed to keep your progression if ghostface moved out of sight.

It would make you cause ghostface so easy to break out of stealth. Using his power instead be like using a crappy crouch.

Amanda's crouching itself is flawed so with your change it would be sickly make ghostfacers nightshroud worse than Amanda's crouch and that's saying something.

  • When you already have all the DLCs so this sale is absolutely useless to you.

    You just needed the cosmetics

  • @TrueKn1ghtmar3

I will be so sure The Entity clearly can use manipulation to its advantage and change strategies at the drop of a hat.

With both Lisa and Rin it took advantage of them in their moments of desperation and hatred so that they would sign themselves into service.

Rin herself is a very interesting case as The Entity never originally even intended on taking her instead its target was her father however seeing that she was a lot more useful used the work that are already done her father to seal her into a contract with it.

No need to go down the torture route when you have people working for you out of obligation.

Another good case but a little bit more headcanon base could possibly be the Legion.

Knowing what we know about Frank I doubt he'll be interested in following the entity's orders just like Evan and Carter.

However instead of using torture like it did with the previous two, it used the other members of the legion to coerce Frank into playing along and also getting three other people to become Killers too, as all of them would do whatever Frank tells them.

It's also possible instead of torturing them to keep their compliance it's simply holding the fact that they could reunite with each other when their individual trials are done as leverage.

Also the fact that the hatch is implied not to be its creation but was kept them around because of how much hope they provided to survivors.

  • Honestly as weird as it sounds I've always been convinced that The Entity brought in Julie Susie and Joey to actually get Frank to work for her.

As douchey as Frank tends to come off he does seem to care a lot about his friends.

It's my little head canon but I initially think Frank refuse to work for The Entity but instead of torturing him The Entity brought in people she would make Frank comply.

It's very obviously hinted towards that The Entity keeps tabs on people before taking them after the incident with the custodian it was very evident the other members of the Legion could be used as leverage.

I assume that's how The Entity keeps them working for her without having to torture them basically you guys do a good job in your trials and you will get to meet up with each other whenever you have free time

  • I've heard lots of matches without Claudette honestly it's a lot more common for me to see a Meg or Nea.

Sadly I've only seen two Quentins this year and I'm pretty sure it was the same person

  • No it's fine a lot of the time survivors just tend to hang about.

So I typically just hit them with my power just to stack up points before they leave.

Most of them will take a lot of the passive powers for example non-damaging puke stalk, Shocks and bottles.

Some will allow you to hit them with offensive powers but they typically stand far enough so you'll knock them out of the exit if you try to down them. For example hatchets, ambush, blinks and chainsaws

  • No you won't get banned as of now but just at least have some decency.

As somebody who was using wake up occasionally and now even more ever since end game collapse happened immediately took it out of my build the I realised it was bugged.

Same thing with the blade addons for the legion and they were my secondary main

  • @Elk

Get a grip I mostly implemented to help people being camped or slugged people being used as bait.

Since it in itself isn't an exhaustion perk it can combine with other exhaustion perks.

For example you can use the boost from get a grip to escape the killer and then use a lithe to make sure you get extra distance.

I made sure to make it a purely altruistic perk. The person using it gains no real benefit in a similar vein to borrow time.

In previous draft I did have both of you getting a speed boost but I realise just like old borrowed time that would suck in situations where the killer doesn't have any choice but to camp like end game

  • Surveillance got changed a long time ago.

The generator will now remain permanently white until it stops regressing if a survivor touches in it turns yellow if the generator just happens to regress all the way back to zero it will turn red.

They removed the time limit the mid chapter patch after the legion

  • @Elk

I basically designed it to be the killer's version of open handed.

  • @Speshul_Kitten

Great Idea it might make T1 and T2 a little useless but it's not that bad.

    I could make it

Once you get a safe hook save the perk activates the next survivor you save will gain a speed boost of 150% for 3 seconds.

The perk will go on cooldown for 100/80/60 seconds.

  • @Yohan

The rng of those traps work both ways my dude. When you're playing Amanda do you know how annoying it is to have someone get their trap off in their first box. Especially considering you can't restock your traps meaning of somebody gets that thing off in 15 seconds it was a practical waste.

Secondly if you keep running into pigs that search the boxes around where you are hooked maybe it's a little bit of a hint to stop going for boxes directly right by the hook go to the furthest ones then come back later.

Lastly the purpose of a reverse bear trap is to waste time during the trial if it's wasting time it's doing its job. Even the Deva themselves after the end game nerf to the trsps, that pigs are meant to use their traps in the game to slow it down not anywhere else.

    @brokedownpalace

Now when you say tunneling do you mean that are actively going out of their way to look for you or do you just happen to run into the pig and expect her not to chase you because you have a reverse bear trap on.

Because as somebody who has played pig I have found survivors running around like headless chickens with reverse bear traps only to get incredibly offended because I did go after them whilst they are under the delusion that me looking in the direction while they have a helmet on is tunneling

  • @Ember_Hunter

Amanda is pretty much the one of only killers who could strategically use that and even with her it's not reliable as it's a very possible that in the time it took them to pop the last gen to activate your trap the survivor with the rbt would have probably either searched enough boxes to get it off or would only have one box left

  • 26-06-2019_00-32-45-m2pq14ii.png 26-06-2019_00-31-42-go31rdju.png

These are the most unique pictures I have. Most of them are pretty much P3 Claudette which gets really boring and repetitive after you have about 20 of them.

So having a fashion Claudette is honestly a miracle also I managed to get one of my friends when testing out crouch builds for ghostface

  • Honestly being camped sucks but the best thing you could do is literally just hold that Killers attention for as long as possible and hope your teammate can get gens done.

If you don't care too much about your teammates and you just want to move over to the next match just finish yourself off

  • I could see that being interesting but the higher you go up the rank system the more cripples certain Killers.

As a survivor you don't typically need to run items and it's pretty easy to go without perks.

The second you stop playing all of the lower tier Killers you're going to realise that it is completely ridiculous. Honestly I could tell you for a fact that that game mode after a certain point it's going to just be populated with nurses and maybe Billys

  • As people have said besides Michael until 1 and Tier 3 every killer has the exact same lunge.

Previously used to be based on the movement speed meaning killers with 110% movement speed had a shorter lunge range.

It's also why they changed the animations up so it's a little bit more understandable when you get hit especially from Killers like Freddy and Amanda who typically have very short weapons so a lot of people were getting confused as to why they were getting hit even though the weapons didn't touch them.

  • @Mochan said:

I actually wouldn't mind that too much, gets in the way of sneaking sense but I rather the game at least look scary than the joke it is today.

I predict next patch The Game will be lit like a birthday cake.

I mean for some reason some parts of the game map got unnecessarily darkened. Keep in mind this was one of the few maps where you could very easily track blood.

When it first got changed it was dark to the point where I had to do double takes with bloodhound 1 because the blood was still blending in

  • @MyNamePete said:

We’re gonna live forever and BBQ and chilli are a thing, you could soo easily farm points but its lowkey necessary with the grind tbh

If you're earning it at a reduced rate you would still have to probably grind out a lot more matches then you would if you just played regularly.

  • Is still directly in front of the window as you could actively see the killer swing through said window when hitting the survivor

    large.jpg

Survivor: how did that hit me

  • If you bought the entire Ash chapter just for the perk then that's kind of on you.

Granted I've bought things just for one specific item before hell I'm one of the people who bought the previous blizzcon ticket to get the get the Demon Hunter sombra skin.

However it would be completely foolish of me to kick up a massive fit if anything were to happen with that skin for example it being given away in a different method or the colours been changed slightly.

Hell the same thing could be said for the people who brought Michael especially considered what happened with Save The Best For Last and I'm talking original Save The Best For Last.

Any game where perks powers and addons get rebalanced so they aren't as overpowered, abusable, weak or useless you should always expect something to change.

if you're going to a purchase a DLC for one specific perk with the full knowledge of how unbalanced it was, then you act all

    large.jpg

When it gets a justifiable change I can't really take you seriously.

However I will admit that they hit a Legion issue where they kind of went a little too overboard with the nerf/rebalancing of MoM.

Well I don't think safe hook rescues should count for it because then I can see you lot of borrowed time farming happening however I do think grasp rescues should count.

  • Honestly don't know what the point of removing the ability to see blood was.

Due to deep wounds not going down in the terror radius it pretty much nullifies the moonwalking exploits so it's kind of seems pointless to me.

The same thing would also go for missed attacks and needing a full bar to activate your power both of these changes were done to stop the legions power from being unfairly spammable however one could have done the job alone the others is necessary. (I'm mainly looking at you needs a full bar to activate the power again)

I feel like they added a lot of counters without feeling a how they would work together.

To hell the way Legion is now makes a lot of their add-ons practically useless.

Pins are worthless because you're actively wasting a lot more time and making your job a lot more difficult when you inflict the status condition and you don't really gain which will benefit from it.

Honestly it will be a lot quicker and way more efficient to hit someone once with deep wounds get close to them cancel out frenzy and then smack them normally then it would be to apply the effect then down them.

The exact same problem affects Franks mixtape however it's somehow even less beneficial as at least with the pins weakly justify the fact that you put a status condition on them.

Fuming mixtape was terrible to begin with when the ability was spammable and you could have easily gotten the information you needed.

They literally copy pasted the wraith's add-on without realising why it's beneficial on the wraith. The ability to cloak whenever want and keep a consistent non timed effect makes gathering information or whole lot more useful.

Legion is already restricted by the fact they can't use the power whenever they want but it's also timed even when you use frenzy in the regular way after hitting it a survivor there's a lot more things you have to be paying attention to in your brief time limit than what colour the gens are

The Terror radius change and the change that pauses the timer when mending pretty much killed stab wounds study. What's the point in using it when the survivor has a lot more freedom to mend without any punishment which is what the hell was meant to cause punishment for delayed mending
