And you are telling people to take deception instead of the “crutch perk” spine chill? It’s some of the best information you can ever have.

It’s not a perk that rewards you for playing poorly which is why I don’t consider it a crutch. It’s not “oh I got downed but I have a perk, so now I get back up” like unbreakable.

I always used to run the gold standard BT/DS/DH/Iron will survivor build but that was years ago. Red ranks was actually red ranks back then, and you could rely on your teammates to be relatively competent as well as the killer to be really deadly.

Now? You have no idea what you are going to get. You can be a rank 1 survivor and get put into a brown rank lobby (like someone in this thread already posted). There’s very little reason to be a team player. I say just go all out selfish build, and spine chill is the #1 way to avoid aggro.

I love a stealthy playstyle because if I wanted to loop all game I can just play killer.

Deception can be used horribly and requires some thought. Spine Chill doesn't. You can be as unaware as you want and wait for the notification to move b/c a killer is looking directly towards you. Now if you're taking it for the other 6% bonus, go for it if you can make it work and find it viable. I personally don't, thats all. I'd rather free up that slot for something else. You're right, its not on the same level of UB but it is still something that holds you back from improving, awareness matters and if you can't multitask, then definitely pick it up. I got a few friends who run it and they admitted long ago they use it cause they can't deal with the jump scares/being caught off guard.

As for DS, I can't remember when I last used that. I got no complaints for it, but I don't think its needed. And yea I'll agree with you on the red ranks and not knowing what you're going to get. Sometimes you will need to carry, sometimes you're doomed from the start. If you don't want to be a team player, thats fine. I like to try to play around my teammates (for example I just had a taste the rainbow type match where all 3 of my mates were trying to taunt/slow down freddy in chases by taking extra hits, trying to blind him, etc) so I kicked into high gear realizing this and cranked out 4 gens since we had 1 done when Freddy started chasing me early game but let me go.

Listen, were all going to have different builds and opinions lol. If it works for you, use it! Use whatever you need to. I just think certain perks hold you back from learning faster. I wish I was told to let go of SC/UE/DS when I was newer to the game but it is what it is. It comes with time. If you can make Spine Chill work and you find it viable, use the hell out of it.

Well, dude, if you need to have 5000 hours in the game to play certain killer - this killer is bad. Like, how many people like that are playing the game, 0.01% of all killer players?

That's the problem with the Twins - they are made for the same people who main Nurse. They suck if you can't keep all survivors injured and then land 4 shreds in a row without Victor being kicked. But it's not like you should be allowed to play this game only if you are a good killer and you are living in the game like streamers do.

They have thousands of hours in the game, true. But those thousands aren't spent on The Twins. Yes they def dedicate a good amount of time to learning them but so can everyone else complaining about them. Hexy (I'm not sure if you watch him but) in particular swaps his killers up per match and often asks the chat what he should play as. Its not like he's ONLY playing Twins and that's why hes good, he plays them on rotation. He'll usually go through the entire killer list before playing another killer twice. And you are right, majority of players are a lot more lax/casual but does that really mean the killer is bad? And Hexy isn't even an insanely good Nurse (he only plays her if he gets $100 donated), he 9/10 times doesn't touch Nurse or Huntress.

I understand that streamers are a special exception but they also prove that the killer is not bad. I mean you can go watch Vods and see how they do with them. Hexy puts so much pressure out with Twins that its incredibly rare if the survivors even get to 3 gens. Also he's just an insanely good killer main and hasn't lost a single match since Jan 1st so he's very smart in what gens to protect/who to focus on, etc.

I just don't agree with people saying she is bad. If other players can excel repeatedly with her (albeit tons of practice), but you got a lot more people voicing how bad she is on the forums, does that make you think the killer is bad or the player is bad/hasn't invested enough time?

That’s funny because I see tons of rank 1 survivors using it. I play plenty of rank 1 killer and spine chill survivors are usually a pain, especially if they have sprint burst too.

I would love to see you survive some of the indoor map builds I frequently run without it.

Most of the survivors I play against would not need the plethora of second chance perks they usually have if I wasn’t able to just walk up and get free/downs on them with stealth killers and perks. There’s plenty of generators with 0 line of sight in DBD.

'Tons' is subjective. I def don't see many people running it at high ranks. And like I said, there's plenty of people at high ranks that aren't actually good/make the stupidest of decisions, etc. I'm sure you've gotten to end game lobby questioning certain people and you find out they're rank 1s/rank 2-4 and you just can't fathom how they got there. Its not just solely low/mid ranks. Its a crutch perk, its got some benefit with the 6% bonus speed to everything you do, but you can def free up that slot. I come across GF and Myers, mainly GF though and I can't even remember the time I had him stalking me on a gen or on my way to a gen, and not seen him. Now if you're taking it solely for the 6% boost, go for it. But I'd def recommend something else.

Uhh I play plenty of in door maps, just like I'm sure others do. MES is probably the most common and I do pretty well there too.

You're right, there are plenty of gens w/o LoS but that doesn't change my opinion that Spine Chill and other perks that a lot of people use (DS/UB) (SC/UE at lower ranks) aren't needed. I'd rather free up those slots for something else. Thats all I'm sayin. If you find it useful for YOU, then go for it like I said.

  • The last 3 weeks, my ques have averaged at 3-7m. I'm NA east.

That said, my last 3 games have legit just been 'taste the rainbow' types. I'm red rank and I'm getting green purple, and grey. Matchmaking is so messed up right now, lol.

OOOO hold up that first build is actually kinda nice I'll actually try that out

Its insanely strong if you can make use of Deception in chases (like rounding a corner breaking LoS on the killer for those few seconds).

People recommending Spine Chill...no, just no. If you got good awareness and can multitask on gens by looking around constantly, you'll never need it. Ofc if you are prone to jump scares or aren't as aware (this is usually for low ranks/mid rank players) then go for it. But the idea is to free up those slots. Thats why at red ranks, you'll barely see anyone using it, Self Care/Urban Evasion b/c they only hold you back from improving and you overall don't need them.

Kindred is a very strong perk in solo que so I'd def adapt that into your build if you can let go of something else. I personally don't use it a lot, but I can't deny how useful it is when you're playing with an uncoordinated team. Trust me, as you rank and you do eventually improve to red ranks, you'll see people playing a lot smarter. You'll still have those games where you have bad teammates but the main focus is on improving yourself so you can still rank up when everyone else ranks down.

    Good luck man. :)

  • @Wesker09 said:

I'm using kindred like everyone and their mom keeps suggesting, even throwing open handed and using bond and other perks but I still get teammates that don't like helping much or dying/struggling on first hook a lot. Y'all got ideas on what perks I should run cause i'm getting frustrated at this point

At low/mid ranks you'll find a lot of bad players. Even in red ranks. Now if you want to avoid the meta/crutch perks that a lot of people use like DS/DH/UB, I'll suggest a few. Depending on your playstyle and what you like of course.

1st build - Adrenaline, Fixated, Sprint Burst, Deception. Very strong build.

2nd build - Adrenaline, Inner Strength, Head On, Quick & Quiet. A bit stealthier but strong & fun build.

3rd build - Adrenaline, Kindred (since you got mates who cant read situations fast enough), Borrowed Time, Balanced Landing/Sprint Burst/Lithe.

The reason I recommend running Adrenaline is that it will help you in end-game more often than not. Even if you get hooked after exit gates are powered, you are healed to full upon getting off hook.

Ofc there are a lot of different builds.

Avoid using Self Care/Urban Evasion/ Decisive Strike/ Dead Hard and you'll see that you improve much faster. Even with crappy teammates, you can still perform. Play risky, don't be a stealthy claudette stereotype. Always focus on doing something that benefits yours team. I'm a 100% solo que player as well and although rank doesn't say much, I do sit at rank 1 regularly (even if I depip to rank 2, I get back in 1-2 games). Just keep practicing, and it will be frustrating so be ready for all of it. Sometimes you will need to carry.

Also matchmaking is horrible right now and you'll come across people from all ranks. So like I said, be ready to pop off.

  • Pray you don't go up against Otz or Hexy. The people who don't play her or think she is bad, are just weak killers. She's insanely strong in the right person's hands. Hexy in particular, is hella naaaaaaasty playing The Twins. I used to think she was weak but coming across good killer mains is night/day from the people who say she's bad on these forums.

I think you unintentionally bring up a good point.

Genuine question, what makes killers complaints about perks valid but survivors complaints about perks invalid?

Well killer mains that complain about perks think they're right b/c they are 1 person and seeing multiple uses of the perk in almost every match they play. There are more survivor players so they voice their complaints a lot more which brings their credibility down a lot and causes killers to think they're complaining about every little thing that doesn't go their way. I disagree with both sides, Ruin + UD wasn't OP, just bad survivors that complained a lot about it. And vice versa for the killers bringing up DS/DH/UB. There are counters, people just don't use them or think of how to get around these things.

  • My que times have been on average 3-7m for the last 3 weeks, I really don't get the whole exaggeration of people saying they're waiting 10-20m for ques when in reality its probably not even close and people are just impatient, lol. Might just be me, I'm NA East.

Today I came across a streamer talking about the changes to Undying, and saying how it's actually going to promote gameplay that survivors dislike most, which is camping. The way Undying+Ruin is now is heavily promoting the killer to move around the map frequently rather than stays sat in one area, and I think he is correct, and I'm starting to think the streamer has a point, but wanted to discuss it. What do you lot think?

Def disagree with whatever that streamer of yours said. The meta will change, people will still use Ruin, people will turn to DH, Tinkerer, and other perks depending on what killer they're playing esp. Undying isn't going to be bad, its just not going to be as strong as it is now.

At the highest ranks, if I see Ruin, I'm going to immediately go hunting for it. A lot of others will too. If killers are going to camp, they will pay for it. I don't see the nerf as a problem, the meta will change and that means people will have to adapt their playstyles which is perfect.

  • Don't prestige unless you have at the very minimum 1000 hours in the game. As a popular streamer has said, you just hurt yourself doing it. It gives nothing but cosmetics. Is that really worth it?

Play with your friends. I don’t care about that.

But maybe play the game as intended once in a while instead of with information bloat.

You acting like SWF players are good enough to play w/o comms, lol.

For the most part, they're all bad players w/o SWF and the people that defend SWF are just as bad/probably feel attacked with this, but it is what is. This is why when you do see a SWF sweat lobby, they're running DS/DH/BT/fill in whatever else filler.

SWF is a crutch system for bad players who want to feel good about themselves.

  • Compared to Hexy, Otz is really no big deal. And its confirmed he's a robot so his achievements mean nothing.

    Moving on.

  • @Cone said:

It is usually casued by you exiting the locker (with head on) at the same as the killer opened the locker. You end up having the same animations as other survivors.

That did happen early on in the match, so that was probably what caused it. But all 3 of those things? It was so annoying, and if this bugs been around for awhile and they know what causes it, why hasn't it been fixed? Thank you for clarifying though.

  • Yea been there, lol. Frustrating as all hell.

  • This just happened in my last match on Laboratory w/ a Deathslinger. He focused way too much on chases and ended up getting his first hook when we only had 2 gens left. He decided to camp the person on 1st hook, and they had Kindred so we all just saw him standing there looking at him not moving at all. 1 of us distracted him and he took his shot at her, while I unhooked him. He then proceeded to tunnel me until the 2 remaining gens were done, ended up getting me and again on 1st hook, decided to just camp. Team came together once more and unhooked me, but someone took my spot on hook, so we repeated this until we were all safely off hook. 2 mates left immediately while me and the Nea went upstairs real quick to mend/heal each other.

Deathslinger ended up raging and d/c'd (lol). We were all red ranks and he was a rank 2 killer. So yea, salt.

  • @Aldath said:

Every single game I get these sort of players. There's no way you can down them because they're centimeters away from the exit (even if you do, without a one shot kill ability, they crawl away), and honestly all they do is making people lose their time because the match could just end but they wait forever if needed be to make fun of you one last time.

I know there's stuff as Blood Warden and such but it's entirely situational and works well with only a handful of killers (plus is wasting a perk slot for something that might not even happen during endgame collapse). Seriously, this is one of the most toxic, unhonorable attitudes in this game and there's no measure at all to prevent it from happening.

This is such a bad take. You realize its harmless right? If it hurts your feelings that much, then quit DbD cause it will continue to happen. And like others said, you're not forced to meet them at the gates. Go break some pallets or just AFK if you don't want to deal with that.

So I saw Adam had a key, I made sure to sacrifice him but going after him every time I saw him. I sacrificed him. One of his teammates ran and got Adam's key. I hooked him on death hook.

At 2 gens left, the survivors stopped doing gens.

They hid and searched for the hatch (recall there are 3 survivors). The key bro, hid, doing.

I literally ignored the other two searching for that key bro (because keys are stupid and I hate them).

I couldn't find him and ended up killing one of the other survivors.

Key Bro escapes. He did nothing to help his team. He wasted my time and the survivors time.

KEYS HAVE AN AWFUL DESIGN. FIX THEM!

    • goes after everyone who has a key
    • tunnels whoever has a key
    • is mad that they cant find player with key and goes for other survivor instead
    • is mad that player with key escapes
    • makes forum thread complaining about keys

Great strat bro, keep it up!

  • BPS - Lmao I actually forgot about the item. My bad. The other dude got it right - Bloody Party Streamers, the offering that gives 100% bonus bloodpoints in all categories for every person in the trial.

    M1 - Mouse 1 killers. Basic attacks.

EGC - End Game Collapse. When the orange bar at the top of your match shows up and you have a certain amount of time to get out before you die.

OoO - Object of Obsession, perk.

    BT - Borrowed Time, perk.

Survivor answer: There's quite a few different builds. DS/Dead Hard/BT/Adrenaline/Iron Will/Kindred (especially if solo queing)/Balanced Landing, etc. Sprint Burst is really good as well if you pair it with Fixated and can use it properly. However you really don't need to be using Dead Hard or Decisive Strike, they are crutch perks and you can bring other useful perks instead. But if you're learning, I guess they won't hurt to use, just don't rely on them for the entirety of your improving.

Avoid using Self Care/ Urban Evasion, I wish I learned this faster when I started out but a lot of people at low ranks will be seen using these 2 since they aren't comfortable yet. The best advice I can give is not to use them, if you want to improve in the least amount of time. They are not needed at all.

  • I used to think SWF was a good load off/fun time to have with friends, not take things too seriously, etc

Now I realize a lot of people rely on SWF to climb ranks that they otherwise wouldn't and it ruins the game entirely as it wasn't designed around SWF but solo que. Its a crutch system, the players actually think they're good, and if they did play solo, they'd have a harder time and likely quit the game.

  • @Marigoria said:

I see a lot of threads about killers dodging lobbies for this or that reason, but as survivor, when you look at your team, does anything make you dodge that lobby? If yes, what is it?

I usually dodge team mates with keys (they're more than likely going to leave you behind).

I also dodge blendettes (claudette with all dark clothing) or default megs, neas, and bills.

I dodge lobbies a good amount, yea. The biggest standout for me is cosmetics. If I see a plain jane Claudette in my lobby, especially with no charms, no items being brought into the match, yea I'm leaving. Been let down too many times by default cosmetic players w/ no charms, particularly Claudettes who turn out to be r10s or lower who just stealth around the entire match. I solo que entirely so making sure everyone pulls their weight or will, is important to me.

Platform is a big one too, but I can rule that out if the people are rocking cosmetics/charms that seem to indicate they play the game a decent amount.

But yea, the biggest standout for me is definitely cosmetics. I mean what else is there to go on? You get a gut feeling that this game won't go well and you leave for another lobby?

The only other time I've left a lobby b/c of survivors is because I'd recognize a guy I played with previously a day or two ago that killed themselves on first hook or d/c'd and ruined the match for everyone else. The last 2 times this has happened were b/c of TTV players, lol.

  • Focus on yourself, be as risky as possible. Do not be a stealther claudette stereotype. Play boldly. A lot of times you will have really bad teammates, that all run around hooks and all 3 get downed and taken to the basement. In those, be ready for an either de-pip or the killer waiting for you near the basement if you do and try to save them. Always be doing something that will help you team, whether its gens, going to save teammates, etc. Reading situations fast is key, like knowing if your mate is being camped on hook or killer is on a chase, etc.

I'm a rank1 but the matchmaking is busted and you'll have people from all rank levels, so be ready to do a lot of the work or for the match to go badly. It can get frustrating but in the end, you will improve.

Also avoid crutch perks like DS/DH/Self Care/Urban Evasion, you don't need them and you will not only free up slots for actual good perks but you'll also notice you improve a lot faster.

Lastly, avoid SWF. Most people who rely on it are very bad/not good when they're on their own (which is what this game was designed around). Its fun and a good time with friends, but don't play SWF majority of the time. It holds you back from improvement b/c you get used to having teammates you can comm with, that you trust, etc. And thats just not the case in solo que.

  • Normally I'm getting pretty good pings, anywhere from 30-80ms is decent enough, rarely the yellow (100-200 ping) which is no bueno and I just leave to find another lobby. But sometimes I don't realize, the game starts and I experience the ping difference (like a killer swinging at air on your screen but the hit registers anyways, or you drop a pallet before a killer swings at you but their attack still goes through and then 2 seconds later, the stun effect hits them).

  • I feel like Nemesis/Mr X would both be terrifying, kind of similar to an Oni raging and stomping around everywhere. Just absolute tanks marching after you. Yea sign me up!

the perks, the 4 crossplay icons, instaheal. if they truly are a loaded swf squad you're just not going to win without nurse, spirit, or blight with meta perks. and i have never witnessed a 4 solo team pick 4 objects, so this is likely a squad.

...I play only solo and a lot of times all 4 of us load up on flashlight/toolkit/medkit. Most of the time we don't even have to say anything in lobby, you see 1-2 equip an item, so you follow suit. The only give away I see that might imply a SWF squad here is that they're all using DH as their exhaustion perk. Most of the time I only see 1-2 DH's in my lobbies. My guess is that they were SWF but not based on the items. Also if they were SWF, then you should have known already to play around the hooked survivors b/c they'd care more about saving each other than keeping gen pressure, so you could have made their altruism backfire big time if played properly.

I know. Like i said its ok. But it doesnt hurt to look whether the killer is facecamping or not.

Some people may just leave b/c they're doing the challenge to escape a # of times and don't want to chance it. They'll also leave because they don't care about possibly saving you, especially if it backfires and they get focused on unhook and downed, they'll probably be full of regret.

The only reasons I'll leave people behind is if they do barely anything to contribute to the match, ie stealthing everywhere, not keeping pressure on gens, esp in a 3 gen scenario (so many survivors do not know how to play this situation, its odd), dive bombing hooks for points and wasting people's lives/pulling the killer back to them immediately, etc. The other reason is situational, but I don't run BT, and if you got hooked on the other side of Narnia, the farthest point from the 1 exit gate open and I know the other exit gate is near you, I might try and open it but good chance the killer is checking on it and then back to the hooked survivor. If I do go for the save, there's almost a sure chance either I go down or the unhooked survivor does, and at that point, killer can just tunnel the remaining person b/c of furthest distance from the exit gate, and if they go down as well, thats 2 kills instead of 1.

If its a facecamp, esp a Bubba, I'll just leave. If it isn't, I'll analyze the situation and if my teammates want to try to make a play, I'll try and pull my weight by taking a hit. But that's also a tight scenario and very situational.

  • 2 matches ago versus a Legion, however he never got the chance to use it.

  • There's already a thread on this, and yes most of us can say the same as you. Red ranks coming across a lot more grey/yellow/green ranks than before the reset that just took place. Its very noticeable and any one that tells you otherwise is full of it.

I am playing mostly Solo Q and since some time in 2019 it's only been fun to play Killer, because as survivor one knows the outcome before the game has even started (unless ranking system didn't work). (Nearly) Every game is a 4K (I am counting a survivor finding hatch before the killer as 4K as well, cause it's pure luck). I am wondering how the experience is for Solo Q players in other ranks as the latest stats are showing a little lower kill rates. So I am excited to hear the experiences of other ranks.

Don't know what you're on about..your experience is definitely more 1 sided versus mine. Yes we lose, and get 4K'd in solo ranks a good amount, but we also win. For me, its 50/50 on most nights. The matchmaking is horrible as well currently, you'll come across rank 12 killers with all red rank teammates and steamroll.

I'm solely a solo player, I think SWF is a crutch and for bad players who need friends and discord to boost their rank. But then again, if thats more fun for ya, do it.

But yea, can def say I don't agree with you since my experience is different.

edit; nvm you changed title to disregard red ranks. Movin on

    1. Nurse (if they're good, its a nightmare)
    2. Spirit (but ofc)
    3. Huntress (again, only if good)

4th would likely be Doc cause of how annoying he is.

  • Doesn't matter to them, they've already stated that regardless of how much dislike they get for it, its staying.

Even though I agree with the majority, its here to stay. So we gotta get used to it.

  • That Self-Care and Urban Evasion aren't needed and they hold you back from learning faster.

  • I'll blame SWF rather than an individual perk, but you do you man. Perk is absolutely fine in solo play and nerfing stuff into the ground based on a sweaty SWF match is just wrong.

  • Good survivors don't need DS. Its a crutch.

  • @TauNkosi said:

What's your personal annoyance that keeps happening when you try to play the game? For me, it's when you try to sneak off a gen cause the killer is near and a skill check happens JUST BEFORE I let go causing the gen to explode. Everytime it happens, I'm like "Really?"

    Oh man, too many to name. A few tho;

    • teammates who unhook you safely and run off w/o healing you
    • teammates who get unhooked safely and run off w/o getting healed
    • when you get hooked and see all 3 teammates just crouching around/stealthing instead of getting on gens
    • when teammates are blind or dont recognize a situation fast enough, when to you its obvious
    • when teammates don't wait long enough and dive bomb unhooks
    • when a teammate goes down within 15 seconds of the match starting

Most of my problems have to do with my teammates, not the killer honestly.

  • I look for the nearest gen. I see a lot of survivors go for chest or dull totems for the easy 1k points. I 99% of the time get on a gen first.

I've realized a lot more killers are running Corrupt Intervention now, and the 3 that get locked down near me make me have to go towards the killer, but nonetheless I ffocus gens, saving teammates, taking hits for teammates, buying teammates time on gens when I'm being chased, etc.

I absolutely hate the survivors who crouch/walk everywhere. Especially the Claudettes, cause they're all cowards.

  • Yea the reward is pretty damn bad. Exclusive rank1 cosmetic, a super rare cool looking charm, shards or even some auric cells would get people to go for it more. BP is such a mediocre reward for the time investment/effort. 250k is nothing to most of us.

  • Well everyone plays differently. Some people like you find the low ranks more fun cause you don't care about rank/getting better/you can just take it easy there. And you're talking from the killer perspective. Which, yea at low ranks, its less frustrating. But its the opposite for survivors.

Personally, I want to go against good competition, have decent teammates, and strive to get better. That usually means getting to high rank.

I also don't think 250k is anything, esp when the resets will send us back to 20 to do it all over again and again. People use the argument of 'well you got to r1 before, now you're at least getting rewarded for it' yes but the reward is awful for the amount of time/effort. Coulda given us shards or exclusive cosmetic/extremely rare charm, or even some auric cells, nothing crazy but any of these would be better than a mediocre amount of BP.

  • Your teammates are part of the problem. I agree, it does suck when it happens but its not like you cant make it more difficult for the tunneling killer.

Had a Pyramid Head matchup a day or two ago, killer found our Dwight within 30 seconds, by the time he was caught, we were down to 1 gen. Unhooked him, tried to heal him but killer came back immediately and the race was on again. We'd stand between Dwight and the killer and this guy would legit just go past us, all he wanted was the Dwight. So the other 2 and I all noticed the tunneling, and we all kicked into high gear to help.

Right when the killer would be about to catch the Dwight, we'd get behind and take the hit for him. We all did this, rotating turns, not just one of us. We were all solo players too but it felt good to be on the same wavelength and realize the situation. After 3 protections, Dwight lost him, I healed him up this time. We finished remaining gen and powered gates, but as that happened our Jeff went down and got hooked near the other side of the map. Killer decided to camp. I tried to do what I could, unhooked him even though killer was circling and just waiting for the double tap. He goes down again, I get injured. Then our feng goes in to save him, again Jeff goes down and rehooked. At this point, all 3 of us are injured and Jeff cant be saved with the time he had left and killer knew we were all near by so he decided to push us out/go for another kill. Me and the Dwight barely get to the exit gates in time and he pushes both me and him out. He gets Feng and she dies on 1st hook b/c last one alive.

RIP Jeff and Feng. We all felt good at the end though and end game chat was not kind to the killer. It just so happened that the Jeff had BT but he was the target after killer lost Dwight so saving him was near impossible with a camping Pyramid Head ready to double tap on unhook. It was a really satisfying game just the simple fact we all knew we made the killer have a harder time and we saved Dwight who ran him for 4 gens.

  • Its a good perk. I think most of us can agree it brings a lot of benefits for your team.

But there are a LOT of perks, to be fair. We all have different styles of play/preference and there are quite a few strong perks, its not as simple as just picking between 10 perks since we only get 4.

  • I just got my Meg to 50 again and it took me 56+ blood webs to get the first tier of Breakout.

    Bloodweb system needs an overhaul.

  • Well first off, welcome back!

The matchmaking is pretty horrendous right now, just wait till you get to purple/red rank (mainly red rank). If its easy for you, definitely try experimenting or just goofing around with non-meta perks or no perks at all. Glad you came back and hope you find some fun in your matches.

Goes both ways. Just got this lobby, saw the map / key. Then got the hatch offering and map offering and was expecting a super sweaty game.

But then they all got mowed down at 5 gens left.

    mAtchMakiNg at its finest.

  • That is purely a reflection of Myers in the upside down and in there, 1 of his arms is a snake head.

    Haven't you read his lore?

  • Personally, I'd rather have it be top tier/good players. I'd feel a lot more comfortable. It'd discourage lobby dodging. It'd give me confidence in my teammates (which is so rare). I could care less about the new players. They already frustrate me as is with this MM system putting them in my matches. As egotistical as this sounds, I really don't mean to be. I'm just tired of being matched with 12-20s who go down within the first few seconds of a match or rage quitting cause they don't care about their rank.

Some red rank teammates are let downs, but I'll take that over grey ranks, no question.

  • Yea they would need to give shards or cells out to players who prio killers if they want to offer a real incentive. BP is nothing.

But then again, this company is too greedy to do that. $$$ is the only important thing to them, otherwise they wouldn't lock everything behind paywalls. SoS is one exception but that only speaks to perks and they're on a 7 day rotation (which is far too long IMO).

I wouldn't be surprised if que times increase, after all, killers deal with a lot more toxicity (coming from someone who mains survivor) so what reason do they have to keep playing and deal with it? There is no incentive.

Why do you complain about being found first when as soon as you spawn you start sprinting everywhere?

Why do you loop near the hook your team mate is on?

Why do you open the gates when the killer is nowhere near you?

Why are you allergic to totems?

Why don't you crouch when you unhook against a hag?

Why do you still drop that pallet after you get hit?

Why do you self care under pallets when a team mate is being chased nearby?

Why do you feel the need to heal 10 times a match?

    • I don't complain, if you find me, game on. Also been found numerous times b/c of another survivor running near me and bringing attention.
    • I don't.
    • I don't. There is absolutely 0 reason to open the gates early when you know a teammate is in a chase or about to be hooked.
    • I'm not. I actively look for them, and in most cases, I'm the one who seems to be cleansing them/hexes.
    • I do. But that doesn't stop a bad teammate from running off immediately and triggering the traps that they saw Hag put down.
    • I 9/10 times don't. But the pallet to hit system is wacky. I've dropped it on killers who would teleport to the other side and then back to the original side. It is a faulty system.
    • Don't run self-care, there's no reason for it unless you aren't confident. Teammates should and will heal you. And thats what medkit is for.
    • I don't, but I'd rather not be 1 hit for the killer and would rather prolong the chase even more with 2 hits so my team can get gens done.
  • Gunslinger, Huntress, Spirit, Hag, Pyramid head the most common for me.
