Rank 1 both roles, Europe server all morning it was happening

I understand what you mean but there need to be a line, I was burning the game map to try get people to escape for my challenge and they still never do a gen or even leas on a chase... the map is full of god pallets yano it's a joke the killer gets 9 hooks on them before the first gen gets done lol
I guess its a region type of issue. I'm NA East and most of my games are played out. Like I said, its not that it doesn't happen but it def is pretty rare, at least in my exp. I do see more often though that some teammates intentionally speed up 1st hook to rush their teammates to come save them which just ends up hurting the team as a whole and the survivor starts struggling in 2nd hook earlier than they would if they were just patient.
But killing self on first hook I haven't seen in like, 20 of my most recent games at the very minimum and I'm red rank as well.

Doesnt matter the map, the killer I'm versing, the killer I'm playing or even the build I use every game has had someone if not multiple people give up on first/second hook. Seriously this needs to be addressed. I dont care if you aren't having the best game or are versing certain killers you are ruining everyone else's experience. Until AI is added in these actions should be removed or punished simple as. 20 games in a row so far.
I assume you're in the low/mid ranks cause this doesn't happen very often if at all in my red rank matches. But when it rarely does, yea it sucks. Some people are just very big sore losers/easily frustrated.
-
If you've got a problem with BT, likely you're just not a very good killer (not meant to insult, just pointing it out). It isn't broken or in need of fixing.
My advice is to watch great killer mains and see how they handle it. Hexy/Otz are both insanely good, and they track everything a survivor does in their matches. Otz goes on 50 win streaks and Hexy does the same (he held at least a 2 month win streak where no team could beat him) (he lost it just recently). Check em out and see how they adapt/play around these perks.
-
I bring them pretty much every game. There is no reason not to, even if you lose them, you make it back in the bloodweb. I've got a nice stock on everything except grey medkit add-ons.
If its something I skip or don't use, its offerings most of the time. They just pile up.
-
Definitely toxic but in comparison to other games, it doesn't come close. LoL and even OW are far worse. When it comes to team games, its crazy how bad it can really get.
-
You lose everything and gain very little. Ask anyone whose done it, even the top streamers like AngryPug, Hexy, etc. Prestige is near pointless, you can say you did it and thats basically it. It carries no real reward or benefit. It doesn't make you better at the game or anything. So no, I'd say don't do it.

Ontop of Otz being a business man
He's doing it for the community
Sure XQC is toxic
But the potential he can bring to the game is insane.
Otz has more balls than BHVR
I doubt its for 'the community'. He's a streamer, he's a youtuber. Playing or even having XQC on his stream, is going to bring him added revenue and viewers. Aint no coincidence that the one time in a blue moon, XQC picks up DbD for 2 hours, Otz tries to reach out. I'll believe its for the community if he helps him while being offline, otherwise its 95% to benefit himself and his channel. Like you said, hes a businessman and his livelihood/himself will always be the #1 prio.
I also doubt X will take him up on that offer anytime soon, as he was just unbanned on NoPixel and played some off stream. Will likely be his main game besides Minecraft, but hopefully he does play more of DbD.
Anyone saying he's toxic and not what the game needs, please shhhh. The community is bad enough and if it brings thousands of new viewers to try the game out, that's a good thing not bad. If toxicity is such a problem for you, then maybe hop off a multiplayer game because most similar games have it. It aint just DbD.
-
Whats wrong with being sweaty/competitive? This is a multiplayer game. If it upsets you so much, derank to the 16-20 range and farm/have fun there. Different strokes for different folks.
-
I think you were just paranoid. Fixated is 1 perk that could make someone disappear very fast w/o being tracked. He could have taken the perfect route and just Line of sighted you until he was behind a jungle gym or in the clear to start running. Could have been a tree, a rock, anything really.
You should have taken a screenshot of their perks in the end-game lobby though at the very least. Without knowing what they were running, especially without any video proof, its hard to weigh in on this.
-
Its 1v4. Of course the 4 will outweigh esp if they are PC and can talk all the crap they want.
Just ignore and move on.
-
Canada here and same issue, says no internet connection. Gave up trying for now.
-
I thought it was just me but it says I have no internet connection. I can't even get past the authentication login servers lol. How long has this been happening, I booted up to have some fun for the night and after 5 attempts all with the same message, I gave up.
-
I'd rather watch Hexy if I'm trying to learn more about killer. Dude was undefeated for like 2 straight months (3k or more) and his streams are always a great time.
Like others have said, I think Otz is very dry/boring personality-wise, gameplay wise he's educational but besides that, the entertainment factor is near 0 for me. If you like him, thats cool tho. Definitely a good player.
-
Easiest thing to do is just avoid people who bring keys. Its not like killers nor survivors have crazy long ques, I'd rather not deal with them and just switch lobbies.
-
Well its not scary, but its also not that enjoyable. I've also realized its been in map rotation a lot more, kind of like how I was getting back to back to back Swamp matches. Also, green/yellow ranks are not 'veterans', they play horribly most of the time. They probably just dislike the map or play it so much they'd rather D/C and wait than to have to play it out again.
-
Yea I mean..I agree with you. The rift pass isn't even worth it. Theres like 1-5 cool things on there and 70 blocks. Doesnt even look like they tried. CoD Warzone does this so much better, lol.

So I saved my shards to unlock yui to do her challenges, first two games I get tunneled off the hook and third game it's a deathslinger and a dwight working together. Start of the match the dwight keeps wiggling off grabs and conveniently he never got hooked once and got given the hatch after farming the gun wiggle ability for points I guess?
So lesson is - don't play Yui. Got it!

You're the only survivor who goes into the basement to save your teammate.
The killer is on his way and very close to the stairs.
Do you have a way to get out of there without getting down with your teammate?
Either have BT and bait the killer into swiping at your unhooked mate or run Head On, wait in a locker for the perfect opportunity. The stun will give you enough time to get up the stairs and vault the window.

Volcum was my favorite clothing company growing up. I usually am hardcore/competitive with games I play if I can be. So Volcore used to my name, but then I eventually shortened it to what it is now. I like shorter names more, anyways.
-
People making the argument that some killers have ridiculous skins that aren't scary can't comprehend the fact that this is Trickster's default baseline skin. The two are not comparable but hey, if thats your only argument to this, I get it.
-
Think the killer is a cyberpunk reject and doesn't fit into DBD at all, just by looking at him versus every other killer (Legion is meh as well).

Dumb argument. Standing there doing nothing greatly increases the chances of survivors not even getting to open a door. Plus the killer can still find you and kill you, have you heard of BBQ and chilli?, pretty popular perk among killers
Its not a dumb argument. You can be the worst player on the team, do very little to help, and be the last survivor remaining. And you think rewarding players based on survival time = a rank up/black pip? You're basically asking for a reward without doing any of the work. And if you were, this wouldn't be an issue.
-
You need to be selfish and focus on gens. If you know thats what theyre doing, you will have to let that person die (if the killer really is camping with Bubba or Pyramid Head, etc).
I'm not one to leave anyone behind either and a lot of times I'll go in for the unhook but if they're truly camping, the best way to punish them is to do gens, open gates and get out. Eventually the killer will realize no one is coming to unhook and he will have wasted his time and playstyle.
If the person on hook dies before exit gates are powered, that just means the next person has to put up a good chase and killer has to improvise. But the more people try to save hooked teammates because they want to help and get the altruism points, the more of a chance of snowballing the match in favor of the killer.

They said they "fixed" it, but I have my doubts. Had a game where I got hit 15ft away and vaulting the other side of a window by a PH M1. Like it was night and day a hit that shouldn't have ever worked, but it did and now here we are. Here's the vid with a good angle my friend got of the hit. Killer was laggy, but the hit was highly sus even for your normal server lag. Could be a desync issue still?
Timestamp for it? Too long of a clip.

Chucky dribbles the survivor like a basketball then dunks them on the hook.
I know you screwin with me cause that image just makes me lol, but..
The people who want Chucky can't even logically explain how he would hook a survivor w/o it being questionable. They just want him in the game. When it comes time to explain his mechanics and how he'd work, they're silent. Chucky WOULD be cool to have, but I'm not going to disagree that he doesn't fit in. He's toy size, he does not have super human strength and I cannot see him carrying a survivor to the hooks w/o it being hilarious. And were not really looking for humor in DBD when it comes to killers so I'd agree with OP on the Chucky point.
-
@Maperson said:
That's your opinion, I think all of them could work. Research a bit before you post something like this. Only sceptical here is fnaf, because we don't know about it's power etc.. But others are definitely possible and fit very well.
Instead of condescending onto the OP, explain how Chucky would work. I'm all ears. Come on, lets have it.

I played a match and used OBS to time the chases in a match that is "evenly balanced" because it was a 2k match. My first chase started at 8 seconds into the match and concluded at 37 seconds into the match and a gen is already done. I will now list the times of my chases where I downed the survivor from shortest to longest for each survivor.
Surv 1- 9 seconds, 15 seconds, 29 seconds
Surv 2-12 seconds, 23 seconds, 27 seconds
Surv 3- 19 seconds, 25 seconds
Surv 4- 37 seconds
Why does the game punish me for this, as a survivor I love being chased but the game discourages chasing whatsoever. As you can tell the 37 second chase cost me the match but it was a semi infinite loop.
Also I was using Pop, Corrupt Intervention, Dying Light, and surge...
Because its not all about the chases but effectively putting as much pressure on a team as possible. At high ranks, you want to injure as many survivors as possible because that means most of the time, they will want to heal up/have a teammate heal them up before they resume the gens.
Just watch some of the best killer mains, Hexy and Otz both distribute the pressure. They rarely stay on the same person for too long because they know there are 3 others that are potentially all on different gens. Injure the survivor, then move on to the next.
I also recommend trying some different builds/perks. Recommend Ruin, Sloppy Butcher, Tinkerer, perks that have much more uptime & use.
I'd swap out CI for sure, why take a perk that has 1 time use at the beginning of the game, after the CI goes away, you're effectively down to 3 perks. And survivors can just head to the other gens not locked anyways. At least w/ Ruin, you force the survivors to play around it or they have to give up time on gens to go looking for it.

I've been getting so many recent complaints about me running bbq, and survivors are always telling me it's stupid how overpowered it is. I can't for the life of me understand how it's overpowered. It can literally be hard countered by just being close enough or just sitting behind a gen or jumping in a locker real quick. The aura reading barely means much because by the time you get there that person is most likely going to be gone. In my opinion bbq is literally the most fair perk in the game in terms of design. It's mediocre at tracking, but it rewards you for actually doing your objective. While a lot of survivor perks are rewarded for failure.
I mean only the bad ones complain about it.
And the reason they complain is because they're lazy/it's one more thing they have to do or worry about.

This isn't true but is actually perfect because it co signs two of my points lol.
You are literally saying im right, if the killer gets an easy 4k its because YOU suck
You didnt think of that because you were too busy trying to cut me down which my other reply to you breaks down the psychology of.
Crazy right? Almost as crazy as nightmare on elm street 3. Best one im telling you. ######### sick man
That's not at all what he's saying, its just what you want to believe he's saying because you can't take other people's different opinions/be wrong. Like the other person said, there are many factors in DBD and its not as simple as 'killer 4k'd and because of that you must suck'.
-
Don't play this game unless you are playing killer.
And yea, I think the current state of the game is horrible.
-
Well we closed the game down.
Most of us are done for now, or at the very least, waiting till hitboxes and emblem system get fixed.
Have fun!
-
Thats basically where I'm at and most survivor players are too. Just put the game on hold for the last 3 days since I realized how bad this patch is.
Just checkin on forums from time to time to see if anything gets fixed. I also left them a negative review on Steam b/c they deserve it. Its odd cause I was actually enjoying the game for the most part prior to this (even through the Twins roll out) and would have likely given them a positive review if things didn't get this bad.
There's no sugarcoating it anymore.
-
- Survivor sided, especially with SWF implementation. Great killer mains will do pretty well in pugs and struggle versus a sweaty and good SWF.
- Normally rank 1 survivor, rank 2-4 killer. Haven't played in the last 3 days after the horrible patch though.
- Well I bought the game years ago but never really dedicated time to it. But the last 2 months I'd say, I logged over 400 hours.
- Yes I main Meg and David mostly. Usually staying away from the 'meta' perks and yes I'd say I have the perks I want. But the bloodweb system still sucks.
- I am primarily a survivor main in 100% solo que. I'd say if I played 10 games, 8-9 of them would be survivor played. Killer is fun but something about working together with complete strangers with no voice comms and excelling, is very satisfying.
-
Well if the match is somewhat salvageable in terms of piping, stay and just farm as much as possible.
If it isn't, die on hook and let them worry about the rest. What I do is get to 2nd hook, struggle and as soon as someone is about to get to me, stop struggling and die. Get into a fresh lobby and move on asap.
-
Yea its primarily b/c of the hit box validation system being broken/horrible. If some want to put up with it despite it happening so frequently and they don't mind deranking, then thats on them I guess. I'm sure a lot of survivor mains are waiting till its fixed before they come back as well.
-
@Pilot said:
Looks mostly like Desync. Even if u had Google Fiber Pro Omega Plus version and Nasa's PC this would still hit.
I'm avoiding survivor for the time being, aka 2-3 weeks until BHVR might decide to roll a patch.
SoloQ is awful and would only recommend to play with friends.
Its not desync, lmao. Its been reported numerous times by many people including myself. Since the new patch dropped, the hit validation has been extremely bad. Has nothing to do with ping, and most people who have brought this up know its a big issue because it wasn't happening prior to the patch to this extent.
I played 7 games and it happened in every one of them. Can also do a search and see how many others have said the same/provided clips and screenshots.
It may have to do with the new animations but I'm no dev. Its got nothing to do with internet speeds, its very noticable and like I said, this wouldn't be reported by so many people if that was the case for everyone unless thats just 1 big damn coincidence.

Why i created this topic? There is a streamer, called Hexy. He is a big one, so you won't miss. His favorite build is BBQ, Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer and he literally can't lose a single game. I can't see anything extraordinary in his gameplay, apart of his aggressive playstyle from the start of any game. But he literally can't lose a single game. He doesn't even play strong killers like Nurse or Spirit.
People say that this game is survivor sided, but this one says otherwise, so i don't know what to think. Can it be that he is just that good at this game. Or survivors he face are all trash. Maybe its just an american region that is full of casual console survivors that don't know how to play this game. All games are way too easy for him. Most survivor teams can't repair more than 2 generators.
Enlight me please! Am i missing something?
Ok so I watch Hexy a lot. He doesn't touch Undying, maybe you just tuned in and he was testing it out post-nerf. I just checked right now since I realized he's live and he's not using Undying already, sooo I'd assume you tuned in when he was testing it out.
His usual 3 are in fact Tinkerer, Ruin, and BBQ with his 4th being a filler depending on the killer he's playing as well as what he's going into the match against (for example if all 4 survivors have med-kits or toolboxes).
And yes, hes very good at killer. He's on the level of Otz, if not better. He can play pretty much every killer extremely well, he pays attention to survivors and which has DS, Unbreakable, etc. He's killed every big survivor main that is a streamer, whether its Noob3, Angrypug etc.
A lot of times, the chat likes to poke fun at the survivors he kills and he always make a point of 'he just puts out insane pressure and makes even great survivors look bad, but that doesn't mean they ARE bad'.
If you're looking to learn from anyone, I'd definitely tune into his channel. Him and Otz are very informative.

I agree with this too, if the devs don't see how badly the ######### up with this update then nothing will change but it is pretty tedious seeing the entire front page of the forum being the same thing "update bad please revert" but with different names
People have a right to be angry/upset. This was something no one asked for. Instead of actual fixes, they pushed an update out that had overwhelming negative feedback on it, ignoring the community. People have sunk hundreds and thousands of hours into this game. No one should be sugarcoating/walking on eggshells. Clearly a lot of us are very upset with the devs and the team behind this game. Letting them know, regardless of how many threads, is the right answer.

and for the first time ever killer queue times aren't instant
They arent instant b/c a lot of survivors have either closed the game or are playing killer. Aint nobody want to deal with that, you're almost guaranteed to depip with this garbage hit validation system. Then we got Mandy the forum mod saying 'nothing has changed'. Its astonishing how horrible this update is. Only good thing about it are the map reworks/graphic updates to them.
-
Made me close the game today. Not booting it back up till its addressed.
And if any mod/dev says that its working as intended/nothing has changed, just know, they're full of s h i t.
-
Yea I closed my game over this. 5 games in a row and it happened in each one.
I can deal with the UI but the hit validation is absolutely messed up right now. & we got Mandy telling us 'nothing has changed in terms of hit validation'. So either she's lying or just hasn't played a game yet because it aint just me, many people are noticing this and saying so on the forums.
Gonna take a break from the game till its addressed and fixed b/c its pretty clear something went wrong when the patch rolled out.
-
Yea same thing happened with me vs Huntress on The Game. Somehow made up the distance and cleaved at air AROUND a corner and I wasn't even in range but the hit registered somehow.
Did another match vs Wraith and same thing. Even caught me when I used my sprint burst, like it was nothing.
Hit validation is broken, don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
-
Seeing the same thing. Hit validation is wonky af right now.
Just had a Huntress cleave at air around a corner but I somehow got hit?
If Mandy comes in here and says 'nothing has changed in terms of hit validation', we'll all know its BS. People are bringing this up because were noticing this in OUR matches, we see it with OUR own eyes Mandy. You can claim nothing has changed, but either you're lying to us or you haven't played a game yet.
-
Noticed the same thing, hit validation is def bonky and even if a Mod says nothing has changed, something has definitely. Its noticable.
-
The HUD is horrible, everything is so zoomed in and because of that, its so hard to measure the distance on a killer, even when they have lunge like Wraith, there's been a few moments where they shouldn't have hit me but did. I even have Sprint Burst, see the Wraith coming and in the process of uncloaking and I'm already running off, but he still somehow makes it to me and hits me ??
I gotta play more but so far, its been pretty noticable.
