Depends on a number of factors really. How many gens are done, did I get smacked with DS for a really long chase etc. If I was early into the game with no gens or one gen done I would take the slow and even out my pressure and just play cleanup late game because it would be more enjoyable for me. If I had three gens done after that first chase then I would naturally tunnel making a more boring game but one where I can scrape out a kill. All depends on that early pressure and if the survivors use it or not.I think people who are normally altruistic/polite killers would benefit, and it might convince flexible players. But filthy cheaters like me would keep tunneling to get the easiest results.
But overall, I don't think it would be a bad change. Just wouldn't do that much about tunneling, IMO.

I saw an idea on the steam fourms that gave a debuff to hooked survivors for a certain period of time after being unhooked, their repair efficiency would be reduced by I believe the original poster said 25%. Making games longer and actively going against tunneling. I quite liked the idea. What do you all think? If tunneling is still the best way to win, I don't think it will change much.
Hook 4 people for a 25% repair reduction overall versus tunneling one person for an even better deal. Which would you choose?

Awkward moment when sandbagging doesn't work in your favor.

It works... you just need to stack a ridiculous amount of it.
It's so pointless because it's something only a SWF group can make use of, and even then it's still #########.

well.. whats the problem with it? seems to be working as intendedSometimes the hits look fishy. That's really it. I've seen it a few times in streams.. but I can't recall a specific instance of it happening to me, but I don't do risky pallet drops and don't record so idk. Maybe once in a while on sliding pallets as WhateverIGuess referred to.
Of course people are going to blame it all on lag, desync, P2P, or whatever, but good game design needs to take that into account. A clean hit that misses is just as bad as a clear miss that hits.

Survivors should be able to see killers outfits and addons so they can dodge if killers are wearing prestige/cash items or using an addon they don't like.

I don't why people say they don't feel scared anymore,
It does scare me most of the times, like whenever I hear a chainsaw revving up, or when a killer like myers or pig catches me off guard, and especially when I'm the last guy remaining, which happens most of the times with me since I hardly go SWF. So yeah, I love this game and it does give me a heart-attack sometimes. After playing a game for at least 20 hours and understanding how the game mechanics work I can't see how anyone would be scared. It's more so players become desensitized to the game. For example the first time I've played Dead Space that game made me jump a lot and I was nervous to go around a corner as I didn't know what was going to happen. By the time I'd gotten to my 50th playthrough of the game I pretty much knew every possible scenario that would happen.
Only the cheap scares are scary to me now. Jump scare Myers, Hag, and Pig really. People always whine about how the game isn't scary for survivors anymore, but they can't seem to recall a scary movie that remained scary after watching it for thousands of hours in a row. 🙄If there's a horror game that is still fresh after the hundredth play through, I'm sure it'd eclipse DBD by now. -
Pretty sure it's an intentional exaggeration... 🙄MegaWaffle said:@ZombieGenesis said:

This is an asymmetric game there is no balance one side has to be extremely powerful as the other side is at its mercy.Actually, asymmetrical gameplay doesn't mean unbalanced. It means that the two sides have different roles, strategies, and goals.
An asymmetrical game design doesn't mean one side easily loses and the other side easily wins. That makes for poor gameplay.

Finally the game is balanced.
Although I think the Hag needs a little lift. So I propose this balance change:
Hag:
-Blackened Catalyst now draws traps in the shape of a pentagram.
-Setting traps now take 66% longer, to account for the 2 extra strokes.
-Upon triggering a trap, Survivors that have tea-bagged in the last three games are banned for 48 hours. -

So, if I put a RBT on multiple survivors and they got saved from the hook... I body block the basement so they can't get rid of the RBT and they DC. Bannable?
The devs said it wasn't bannable because death is still escaping. Not different from facecamping the hook.
I think it's dumb, but it's such a rare situation anyway, it hardly matters. As long as you're not sitting there upwards to 50 years to force the survivor to rage quit.

1. Don't abuse/harass people in game chat.2. Don't stalk/harass a player outside the game.3. Don't hold the game hostage (intentionally hiding for long periods of time for no other reason, preventing survivors from leaving by bodyblocking for long periods of time for no other reason, etc.).4. Don't grief other players (working with killer/survivor to sabotage.)But most of the other "rules" are bullshit.

How about this:
1 survivor- Permanent Ruin, 50% regression for a great skill check.
2 Survivors - 300% survivor action penalty.
3 Survivors - 100 Gens.
4 Suvivors - Insta down, 300% speed, teleportation, insta-mori, no terror radius, see all survivors auras, if survivors move and they get the mangled status effect. Also 1000% more blood points for killer, 1000% less blood points for survivors, and they get set back to rank 20, killers get to rank 1.HAHAHA, YOU GOT IT? HE WROTE IT LIKE THAT, BECAUSE KILLERS ARE SO OP PLZ NERF, BUT THEY WANT BUFFS, HAHA!!1! IT WAS SARCASM HAHAH!11!1 GOT IT? got it?/?
Not even funny. SWF needs to be fixed and we both know that.
Don't know why you're lashing out at him of all people, considering salty killers in the thread... in every thread... are the ones unironically giving out brain dead suggestions that kill the game.
Hurhur guys, 0 perks for SWF, 40% repair speed reduction, default moris for 4 stacks, SWF indicators so SWF can be dodged, etc. etc. Literally all suggestions posted within the last week.

Force SWF survivors to play with an AI killer. All problems fixed.
I'd be down with that lmao
Take out every player that plays with friends in the game and put them in an AI queue. I don't want ever to play with whiny, toxic players, and I don't really care if there is a player chasing us or an AI.
And whiny killer mains lobby dodge for every reason under the sun anyway, so who the hell cares? At least then would get to play with items and wear prestige without triggering somebody.

@Detective_Jonathan Sprint Burst is the best exhaustion perk in the game, without a doubt. The other exhaustion perks require a condition to be activated (Dead Hard needs a injury, Lithe only works in a chase, etc.) and might not even get a chance to activate depending on the killer you play against.Sprint Burst is the only perk that can be activated whenever you want.
I stopped taking you seriously when you said that Sb is the best perk in the game.
He said best exhaustion perk... and he's 100% right.
Works whenever you want, effortless, and negates so many killers' abilities. Makes Hatchets, Chainsaws, Ambush, and Blinks easy to dodge. Pairs well with D-strike, hook saves, stealthy getaways, hatch and exit gate dives. Easily guarantees a pallet loop. You can't go wrong with SB. Ever.
If Self-care wasn't in the game, Sprint Burst would easily be the best perk in the game. If I had one slot and had to choose between SC and DS, I'd choose SB.
Especially since all you need is SWF to replace DS and SC in the form of bodyblocking/flashlight saves and people healing you, respectively. SWF can’t decently replicate SB for you.
Plus, SB makes flashlight/pallet saves and body blocking easier to begin with. It's just THAT good.
I don't like it when people use the term crutch perk, but SB is closer to being one, even more than DS is. DS may be a get-out-of-jail-free card, but SB is a do-almost-everything-better card.

Point is , third party software that gives an unfair advantage, that isn't on the white list is a perma-ban offense. If you go on only pure logic and yes or no answers you would have to agree.
Discord is
1) A third party piece of software ... true
2) Not on the white list ... true
3) Used by SWF groups to gain a very unfair advantage over another player ... trueBut hey its ok, you just keep on doing what you do and screw the other people, its all good they can just get gud, and you can crutch it up.

ZombieGenesis said:Try playing survivor if you can. It is kind of the opposite. At least for someone who solo queues when they play survivor like me. The early ranks are ROUGH but after around rank 13 or so you start getting with a better class of survivor. I find, and this may just be my experience, solo-queue survivors tend to be less toxic just because, by that point, we're just so glad to be escaping on a more regular basis or having teammates who aren't complete fools or memers.
As a killer though, anything above rank 12-10 is just not fun as a general rule.
In my experience, the early ranks are the most easiest wins. Yeah, you get the high chance of noobs on your team but a lot of people that are suppose to be in the high ranks play in the early ranks because it’s much more fun. When you’re in the high ranks, all you get is camping and tunneling killers and the worse team mates unless you have a SWF group. I’ve solo que’d as a high ranks before and it was a f-ing nightmare.
There are survivors who snail walk to you while you’re going in stage 2 on the hook, survivors who sandbag each other to be an #########, and etc...
Not fun and it’s nothing to be proud of when you’re a high rank in my opinion. You don’t get a reward for being a high rank other than bragging rights about your ranks. Sometimes, I contemplate purposefully de-piping just to get away from all that.
Lol I think the biggest problem is that low rank survivors die on their first hook (by killing themselves) or d/cing right away. Plus they struggle to find generators meanwhile the killer just needs to M1 them to death.
Even if you loop the absolute ######### out of a killer for 10 minutes, you'd be lucky if your team gets 2 generators done (because more likely than not, they're in a closet.)
High ranks are only boring as survivor because it's 90% Hillbilly with the same six meta perks. Otherwise it's a cake walk if you know what you're doing, IMO. I found the most camping happened between Rank 20 to 17, and from Rank 12 to Rank 8.
-
It kinda does for non-obsessions. Wiggle bar still has to hit 35%, yet is slower and harder to reach.
You absolutely must have someone help you bodyblock unless the killer gets greedy and goes for a far hook.
Agree though. Laurie's perks are getting so crappy.

Merchant of Death
- Grants upgrades all Memento Mori Offerings.
- Cypress Mori now becomes Ivory Mori.
- Ivory Mori allows the Killer to kill two survivors.
- Ebony Mori grants the Killer 2k BP for every survivor Mori'd.
That'd be cool. 😏 -

Every killer who plays to win will be thumbed down. The ones who get thumbs up will be the killvivors - the ones who give free rescues, free hatches, second/third/fourth chances that baby survivors feel entitled to, etc. Basically the killers who just let survivors win every game.
Survivors need less power in the game, not more. Instead of helping them with a thumbs up/thumbs down rating, the post-game chat should be removed and the report form should be removed. From now on, only video evidence of hacking should be accepted as a valid reason for banning someone, everything else is fine or can be patched out. Survivors shouldn't be allowed to talk or rerport after the game because they only use it for abuse.
We don't need a thumb system to find people who disconnect. They do that already. There was a mass banning a while ago because of it. They just generally don't enforce the rule, for whatever reason (because they love cancer players who are killing this game, probably).
The system would be more automated and need no manpower to manage, But then this is why I said only 3 thumbs because then it wouldn't get used just because "jackanory" left me to die or camped me
Four toxic SWF players in a game, you camp one of them and what do the other three do? Report, thumbs down, friend request, insults, rage, forum posts, etc.
Multiple reports in the same group should be considered as one flag. Most games already do this.
