    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!

    Just kidding.

Eh. I wouldn't mind if it was removed. I like the skill checks anyway. But they should give points for hitting the good skill checks. 👺
  • Look at him.
    He's beautiful. 😍
  • Agree with a concede button for when exit gates are powered (not open).

    People already rage quit anyway.
  • I don't think NOED needs to be removed or nerfed... But it is definitely a crutch perk. It only rewards mistakes, even if it is good for cheesy strats.

I think overused meta perks need to be nerfed/changed, and I don't think NOED ranks that highly.

In regards to the bloodlust change, it wouldn't have an effect, since breaking a pallet would reset bloodlust. But OP isn't the word I'd use. I'd say boring. You can get way more done through windows and mind games, only using pallets as a last resort. Running in circles around pallets just takes zero skill and isn't fun for anyone.

And yet that's how the game is played and we'll take away the one thing that actually might counter it...boggles

It absolutely does not counter it. Bloodlust resets when you break a pallet. The reality is, bloodlust currently punishes survivors who don't rely on pallets to gain distance while doing nothing to stop pallet looping. Less pallets used = less bloodlust resets. Bloodlust encourages looping, if anything.
The only thing bloodlust 3 is good for is breaking a safe window loop.

When killers use it to "counter" pallet loops, obviously the game will feel oppressive when they spent 2 minutes looping the same damn pallet because he has an apparent allergy to the spacebar.

Repeat that for twenty pallets in the map (or the ten safety ones) and killers will get an instant lose every game. No one plays like this.

Where do I mention 4K? And what BL nerf? Where is it? When is it coming? Oh, that's right, never! Just like the "SC Nerf". Why? Because "survivors don't like it". You mention a lot of imaginary things that aren't happening...oh that's right, that's what killers are supposed to get excited for. Imaginary things that never happen. So you do it get. Thanks for making my point.

Was I talking to you? Why are you still here? When did I say BL? Can you read?
  • The pallet vacuum removal wasn't game changing? Wow. You will literally never be satisfied by anything.
Or the pallet rebalancing patch. Exhaustion nerf. Flashlight and pallet save nerf. Plethora of killer buffs already in the works. BT nerf. But when one survivor sided patch comes... The game is over!

It's not about balance, it's about that juicy 4k that some people feel entitled to. 🙄
  • Whatever justifies your whiny, toxic behavior right?

Rich, coming from you. At least I'm not on the forum crying about how survivors are the cancer of the world every time a disgruntled player calls you a meanie or the devs say something you don't like.

Most of my games are peachy, but hey, that's probably because I'm "whiny and toxic" right?

Good argument. You here to advocate for easy games because facing an equivalent average rank isn't skewed enough for you?

The problem with SWF is it's not a good equivalence. Almost any other competitive game has a skill difference limit in matchmaking, and even when the system functions well, low rank killers will occasionally be thrown against teams made only of higher rank survivors.
Let's not talk about equivalence when what's being suggested here is far more skewed.

Yes, on occasion. I've been paired with killers 4 ranks above me as a solo player as well. 🤷‍♂️
  • Say the douchebags who came to a thread they could have perfectly well ignored to troll and harass the OP. Just like you do in game, I'm sure. Congrats, you are what's wrong with this game.

If you have a problem with people voicing their opinions, then maybe you shouldn't be posting on a public forum, js.

So let's get on that, okay? Till then shut up and let people make whatever posts they want to vent their frustrations at a game that is becoming more and more of a chore for some of us to play.

Honest question here. When was the last time you actually hit BL3? I've never hit it without specially trying to while testing the speed.
Ironically this change affects even fewer players than the exhaustion related change and here we are, complaints about things that 1. Have been discussed months prior, and 2. Affects the few people who regularly and carefully looptyloop for 2 minutes straight.

Tbh I don't think the BL changes need to happen simply because of the few ridiculously safe loops we have in the game, particularly the asylum and warehouse. But I just find it so ironic that killer mains are doomsaying now when excusing the exhaustion changes under the same pretenses (I. E. it doesn't affect you, and the devs didn't intend for you to play that way).

They can play, fact is that they SHOULDNT be able to do that.
Every competitvie game has some ranked lock system to prevent dia players boosting bronze plebs etc.
ONly in DBD it is possible for 3 rank 1s to group up with a rank 20 noob and get a rank 18 killer that can be bullied

DBD is both casual and competitive. Most players have no reason to and don't give a crap about rank after getting the achievement. Making decisions based on the idea that is DBD competitive is disingenuous when a good majority of players are regularly outside of (and below) their skill level. See image above for our "Rank 8" demolishing a group of Rank 1s. Sure, you may want to argue "that shouldn't happen!" but in practice, he's ironically queued into a game more suited for his skill level.

The solution to that is: Train solo.
    Or, y'know, play KYF.
People always seem to forget that mode exists...

Sometimes people want to get a head start on the decade long grind we call DBD, play with friends, and/or don't have enough people for a realistic game.

If there was a casual/custom mode that granted BP, even in limited amounts, this wouldn't be a problem.
  • No. But we should be able to see the name of the killer too, if they're going to show survivor names and profiles.

  • Haddonfield is great. Mindgame central.

I'm sure there are bad placements, but it's just as easy to outplay a survivor just by not being predictable.

  • Not dying tends to annoy Killers.

  • Reinstate MLGA so that both sides can dodge.

Killers are spoiled by their ability to pick and choose who they want to play against, and have completely forgotten what it's like to be on the receiving end.

  • I'd prefer in-game voice chat and a LFG lobby option, but whatever.

Tbh with you, I don't understand how It affects campers. I am not trying to be sarcastic or a smartass here, I just don't understand it.

You can easily tell if a killer camps people so you don't need to have kindred for that. Even if he camps, I don't think kindred would help us survivors much. Instead of taking kindred, taking bond would help people a lot since it allows you to see other survivors around the hook as well as in other situations.

Instead of hindering campers, it actually affects killers who do not camp. Just imagine, you will be able to see the killer and which direction he comes from. You will be able to see a nurse blinking towards you, a billy raving his chainsaw towards you etc.

If I am mistaken or got some part wrong feel free to tell me really.

Solo players will waste time going in for a hook save before seeing the person is camped. Often times players worry about leaving teammates to die.

SWF players will not waste time in the same way. SWF have the opportunity for built in Kindred, and can already communicate "the killer is going for you Meg!".

  • Ultra rare shouldn't mean ultra unbalanced. Many add-ons need downsides to counteract how powerful they are.

Freddy's already getting reworked, so you might want to save your judgment for once it's done.

I see the logic here.....?

There is logic. Finding ways to bring solo to SWF level and then to buff Killers around that level of play seems logical.

Explain to me how it isn't? :P

But bringing up solo to SWF lvl and buffing survivors at the same time without buffing killers? How is that logical?^^

Meanwhile: Pallet vacuum removal, pick up buff, 2 killers buffs, with 3 more in the works...

Just not having them activate when you're healthy.

But people can just heal to 99% and when they complete the gen or when the killer is coming they can just click m1 if they have self heal and get to full health.

Not when the Self Care nerf comes in.

They can do that now and it's still rarely, rarely, rarely used.

They pushed back the Self care nerf. Who knows if we'll get the same one that resets your progress.

I know, but I highly doubt they'll leave it alone forever. It's bound to be nerfed.

I'm gonna guess it's either come with decay or full regression.

Killer's best way to be toxic is to end the game faster. (Tunnel/facecamp/mori people they don't like.)

    Survivor logic detected, LUL
Except facecamping that's normal killer gameplay. The word "tunnel" doesn't make any sense, it was only created by salty survivors to complain against efficient killer mechanics. Survivors do gens fast, killers do kills fast. It's called objectives ya know.

The point is doing it deliberately to one person, and ignoring all others until the target is dead.

There is no other way to bully a survivor as the killer aside from permabodyblocking, slapping them on the hook, or taunting them while slugged. Most of these choices for the killer is KILLING.

But hey LUL SURVIVORZ R STOPED RITE. KILLRS R VICTIMS

    Most perks don't have drawbacks.
Most don't have such a general boost.

    Wake up is specific
    Botany is specific

We'll make it and technician have requirements and are specific.

What the person is suggesting would be like making Thanatophobia reduce action speed by 15% without injuring survivors.
    I agree.

Though as they are now, they are not beneficial enough to be used. Once Self-care is nerfed, they will completely fall out of favor for every situation except No Mither cheese.

I just think they should be merged. Resilience could be changed to a double hook-time perk.
  • Find boxes (white auras), do the skill checks, and one of them will free you from the bear trap.

Bear traps automatically kill you 2.5 minutes after being activated (can be lower with addons). They activate if someone completes a generator when it's on your head. They are paused if no generators are done or if you are being chased.

Bear traps autokill you if walk out the exit gate with it on. Bear traps do not kill you if you go through the hatch.

Very rarely, in my experience. Every time I play survivor, my teammates will drop everything and sprint a mile away to go cleanse a dull totem the instant they catch a glimpse of it.

Me: Being chased, on my final life, desperately buying a few more seconds for my team to finish the last generator in a 3-gen cluster.

    Them: *cleansing dull totem*
Or even better, just crouching in grass watching yoh get chased.

  • The devs aren't going to punish players for playing with friends.

The devs aren't going to make people regret inviting their friends to pay for and play the game.

The devs aren't going to delete their fastest and easiest method of gaining and keeping players.

The devs aren't going to let solo players be permanently handicapped for choosing to be solo.

Now can we get some common sense up in here and stop beating the dead horse?

While the Hex: The Third Seal totem is active, it should make all hex totems appear to be dull totems. This will slow down how fast hex totems are found and cleansed, as survivors can no longer just bypass dull totems to continue the search for the hex totems. This will also add to the hex perk synergy and buff Hex: Thrill of the Hunt (currently, it seems survivors get more use out of Thrill of the Hunt by tapping hex perks to draw the killer away from whatever/whomever).

With the pressure eased up on hex removal, the killer will have more opportunity to hit all 4 survivors. This means that the token system in its current form can stay.

Do people just leave dull totems tho?

Depends on the situation. If there's something more important, than yeah.

    The toxicity goes both ways.

There's also a pretty big thing that sets the two sides apart. Survivors who get caught and angry commonly just disconnect and go unto the next game right away while the killer often suffer through the entirety of the game in order to not lose everything.
    Not if they're in SWF.

The only reason the style of toxicity is different is because the different roles have different goals and methods of carrying it out.

Survivor's best way to be toxic is to drag the game out. (Ignore objectives to taunt.)

Killer's best way to be toxic is to end the game faster. (Tunnel/facecamp/mori people they don't like.)

They are, for both of these things. DS in particular is in the midst of getting a massive nerf. Loops are being looked at and altered to make them less safe, as well as adding in LOS blockers for mindgames to close some of the distance.

If you've got some suggestions for map design, I'd love to hear them, but I sincerely doubt you've done as many calculations around loop length, pallet safety, and time efficiency as they have.

I'll be cautiously optimistic when the developers are gonna nerf survivor perks since the survivors tend to backlash and the developers usually cave in. Considering that they now, right after the backlash, pulled some damage control in wanting to nerf bloodlust (without looking on fixing long loops) and restoring pallets into a no-killer-safe-space

    Why am I not surprised?

On topic, I don't think priming is a great idea. I'd much rather a variety in pallet mechanics (like instead of pallets, there's some barrels that are harder to drop and stun for a shorter duration). Honestly priming should be a survivor mechanic instead (I.e. Trip wires, fire crackers). Priming would make killer more boring, F13 style.

Implementing a better variety of gameplay and secondary objectives should be the main priority.

Or if non-sweaty killers camp you, which has 0.01% chance of happening because it's summer and every killer is sweaty. :)

I 100% support people doing it right back. That is my point here, my personal freedoms in how I play are now being removed.

I'm supposed to have the CHOICE to play for the team or for myself. Whether is scummy or not is 100% another topic. I think that the right to play greedy is an option that some people want to play. And as free thinking people we should be able to.

Having the devs police behaviour is ridiculous, where do we draw the line?

All you lemmings think that its ok if they remove freedoms just so long as you see it as justified. But what happens when they decide to police some action you love to do. Maybe down the road they decide that looping is goofy so instead of changing the game so that looping is not possible, they just say for every loop past the second one we remove 150 BPs.

There that should fix looping. Or at least make it so that it isn't profitable.

I know they would never do that, but this is exactly the thing I'm talking about they are removing a way of playing because it is unpopular. By punishing the points awarded.

Stop thinking about the specific thing being punished here, and look past it to the core message being sent.

We the DEVS are going to mold you into playing the way we think you should. This isn't cool, not in the current world, where we are supposed to be free thinking people.

My personal freedom not to be farmed is being violated by how you play.
Your personal freedom to punch ends where my nose begins.

Then do not get in the ring with a boxer. It was your choice, remember.

Which suggests we have any choice in the matter. If we had a functional rep and avoid function, it wouldn't a problem.

No one would want to play with a known farmer anyway. Actually, they'd be banned, so it wouldn't even be that much of a problem, would it?

Casual SWF will eventually die out and a sizeable portion of the player base will be gone, with queues still clogged up by lobby dodging, and killers will still have to play with SWF anyway. Just like how the game was in the beginning.

Yeah it’s fun to play with friends trying to survive but communicating is a huge boost to survivability of teammates. Therefore you should only earn rank points if you’re playing solo but you can of course earn bloodpoints and level up characters in SWF.
This will only help people sandbag. Killers at lower ranks will suffer and the complaints will still be pouring in.
