I'd be okay with it if it was a point based system, where you have a maximum amount of "perk points" to spend and more powerful perks cost more points, while weaker perks would cost less (and allow you to equip more of them).
Though I feel like adding a fifth slot as is would remove a lot of build diversity and allow people to too easily become a jack of all trades.
I think a point based approach is a cop out answer to imbalance. There needs to be more effort put into making perks viable, rather than artificially restricted.I think a fifth hex-only slot would be cool for killers, while for survivors, a nerfed version of Self-Care is changed to an innate ability. -

What do you expect?
Do you think all survivors in the match get rewarded for hosing a killer and getting all gens done and escaping after 3 or 4 minutes? No.
As a matter of fact, survivors do pip most of the time when escaping after a gen rush. And do you think killers have fun after a game of pallet looping? I don't think we like running in circles. Would u if u were a killer?
What u just said is utter crap tbh xD Since the game is mostly only enjoyable for survivors
That's 100% bullshit. No they don't.
Lightbringer points are shared between the team. Benevolent points come from the killer actually hitting and hooking people, and Evader requires interaction with the killer. Gen rushing through a 3-4 minute game does not let you pip by a long shot.
And the Survivors' job is to SURVIVE. By your own logic, hiding in a locker all game and sprinting into the exit gate should guarantee pips too.

The video is literally noob3 sandbagging and bullying baby killers.
Yes. A survivor with hundreds of hours of more experience than you will destroy you, even single handedly. The game should work this way. This is called difference in skill.
Do you expect one of the most notorious jukers with over a thousand hours and multiple accounts in the game to be easily killed by someone who just started playing killer?

Clown's mori cancel is pretty toxic.
But I get a kick out of it whenever it happens for sure.

I think they should go ahead with reducing the time of BL1 and 2, while reducing the speed slightly. Tbh I don't think they need to nerf BL 3 at all, it's a nonfactor.I get that they want to discourage long bouts of BL over the same safe pallet and encourage killers to break pallets instead. I think it'll be fine if they adjust window CDs to be more punishing and randomize window and pallet spawns at safe landmarks like the cow tree, shack, and shed. But pretending that Nurse is going to be the only killer played is ridiculous.
-
Tzeentchling9 said:You balance around the green and purple ranks and have proper matchmaking that actually pits people of similar skill against each other. Sucks for baby players sometimes, but guess what? Any power you give to baby players is increased tenfold to veterans and then baby players grow up to be veteran players. This won't work. The red ranks are miles away from the green and purples, and even those who consistently land at the top have huge disparities in skill.I could take a Rank 1 Billy around the world right now and not get touched for the entire match, and I could be downed and killed early by another, more skilled Rank 1 Billy. As much as people like to exaggerate that the game is balanced around Rank 20s, rank hardly means anything at all in this game to begin with. Up until the recent patch, there were hoards of high rank players sandbagging there anyway.

The stun happens in the end of the animation, rather than in the middle of the animation. If you walk into the hit box just as the drop ends, you'll be stunned.Once they change that, there will be fewer instances of killers walking into a last second pallet stun, and fewer instances of unfair-looking hit trades.
That's always been like, pretty sure. The hurtbox for killers extents past the window.Michiko said:I just wanted to ask if you ever get smacked after jumping through and running a few inches away from a vault/window? This happens to me ALL the time. Was this a change in the latest update? The only really unfair ones are the ones that happen when crossing the pallet. I can be nearly at the other side of a pallet and still be hit. -

You're supposed to be stealthy with Tier 1 anyway. If a survivor is looping you at a jungle gym when you're stuck a T1, that just means you've failed.I think he needs only slight add ons buffs, and maybe slight passive EW gain that caps out at 99% so he's not screwed by dcs and killing too fast.Otherwise, he's already a scary and balanced killer. He's easy to use, has built in tracking/detection, has variety in playstyles, and has potential to end chases quickly and camp with his instadown. I don't see what else needs to be changed.

Except they gave in to the whining Survivors and changed the hatch to where it still makes escaping too easy as the last Survivor and it took them way too long to implement the pallet fixes (they should've been implemented over a year ago).
"Gave in to whining survivors". Of course, because player feedback and objective PTB game statistics aren't good enough reasons to consider.
Maybe it's less about Devs not listening, and more about your need for every change to go your way.

During a dev stream they played on rank 20 with people that never played before.
So I expect something like that.I wish they played more often against the community. But I fear that the community plays toxic instead of pointing out the flaws in their game.
A lot of game developers use player testers and focus groups made of players for this purpose.

She's dlc, almost never used prior to the buff, and was weak enough not to need to crouch. Why do you think survivors *would* know this?
-
Add more ways to increase skill floor & ceiling.
-
I co-op for co-op points. You don't pip for being a sandbag that sneaks into exit gates, that's for sure.Wouldn't mind a voice chat feature. As long as devs have the common sense to implement the ability to mute teammates, push to talk, silence-punishments, etc.If VC and group finder was implemented, we wouldn't need to deal with roundabout balancing like passive Kindred.

Invitations are timed, so you should just use the invites. They provide 4.5k per gen/hook, so take that as you will. The only thing that beats it might be cake/pudding.

- Ghostface
I don't care how underpowered they have to be, I'd play them night and day just to be ######### creepy.

My problem with whispers is the killer using it always seems to run right to me no matter where I'm hiding. There's a few occasions where they know someones around and go looking but mostly it's like it's actively telling them where you're at. They tell me post game well it told me where you're at yet the description doesn't say that. It's sporadically not constant and it's isn't like a permanent bbq aura but seems to work like that.I'd love to see them remove that and other ones like that when they finally fix things and actually make it a stealthy game play style. There'd be lots of los breakers but only 1-2 pallets on small maps and no endless loop spots. Just places to break los and sneak of in 1 of several directions or places to hide better. You could remove DS at that point along with other perks on both sides.
I think Whisper's is more fair because it's far more skill based than aura reading is. The fact that people can seemingly wallhack with Whispers is really cool, and evidence of expert play and knowledge. But there's nothing as spoon-feeding as literally showing the precise location of the prey through aura reading.
Detection gameplay should be based off of Stridor, Whispers, and Shadowborn, rather than built around aura reading. Definitely wouldn't mind more LoS breaks either.

I'll explain why NOED isn't a crutch perk. I'm saying this to every person who thinks it's a crutch perk and not just you @Visionmaker!Visionmaker said:I don't think NOED needs to be removed or nerfed... But it is definitely a crutch perk. It only rewards mistakes, even if it is good for cheesy strats.I think overused meta perks need to be nerfed/changed, and I don't think NOED ranks that highly.
4.) If NOED is a crutch then you minus well say Blood Warden is a crutch too since it blocks the exit gates and gives the killer a "free kill".
6.) NOED is a strong alternative to ruin since it punishes gen rushing. If every survivor is on generators and not totems then your guaranteeing yourself a strong late game!
Overall the main reason why people think NOED is a crutch perk is because it's not fun for the survivor to get instantdowned.Actually, I call NOED a crutch perk because it activates with zero input from the killer (easy to use), and gives a strong boost for essentially losing most of the game.
A crutch perk doesn't mean it is without counters. Like its name implies, a crutch helps a lesser player achieve more for little to no input. NOED doesn't require any skill (aside from protecting one totem) to utilize and the benefits reaped are tremendous compared to other perks.
Unlike Blood Warden, which rewards the killer for catching their prey last minute with precise timing, NOED has no such condition. Also, the benefits of Blood Warden are far outweighed by NOED, on a timer.
It is indeed an alternative to Ruin, as it demands survivors to cleanse each and every totem lest they face the severe penalties, and guarantees a collective few minutes of time off generators even if inactive.
It's less about being unfun, it's about skill/input to benefit ratio. I personally like NOED, but I think it would be disingeuous for me to not call it as the crutch it is.
It doesn't really matter how often or how much something is nerfed either. It's done being nerfed when its effectiveness is aligned with other perks, not when x number of nerf patches is met. Ex: just because survivors have been nerfed recently doesn't mean I think they shouldn't be nerfed any further.
And just because DS is more egregious of a crutch perk, doesn't mean NOED is less of a crutch. They're both crutches. DS should go first, of course, but NOED should be looked at also since it runs under the same principles. Granted, only if it's overused.

Just wait till they get those few seconds of invulnerability that they are talking when unhook. It's not even a few seconds. It stops the moment they are able to move, i.e. when the feet touch the ground.
So you can't down the survivor before they're even able to move, womp womp. Facecamping is less viable now, without needing to resort to elaborate mechanics.
-
Again?
-
This changes alnost nothing. This only benefits solo players that get screwed by malicious teammates that unhook before exhaustion is off cd. SWF never has this problem to begin with. The Iframes for the unhook (ends when feet touches the ground) only matters if the killers within arm's reach of the unhookee. This means that this impacts killers that facecamp or survivors that are being farmed for BP/trolled.But of course, we have to whine about *everything*.

Urban is great for her. You dont trigger the trap randomly. You keep it for chases. And the camera swing is like leatherface's 3 chainsaw hits part of the power.
I think it's cheap, unfair, and annoying after the first time. It's useful for the jumpscare atmosphere, but I don't think it's intended to completely disorient a player again and again. It goes against the devs motto of not taking control away from the player. There's no skill or strategy needed on behalf of the killer with the camera flips. And whether you are completely screwed by the camera flip is up to chance as the survivor.
Actually the best hag mains and similar activelly use that mechanic by learning the trap placement and all of the survivor's possible routes too. The traps's exact placement is key to it and it takes lots of time to do it perfectly. There are tons of mindgames with it its insane. I have to then disagree with the "no skill or strategy needed on behalf of the killer with the camera flips" sentence. Now hag is 3rd best . Bye bye huntress.
The trap placement is for teleport mindgames, not camera flip mindgames. I highly doubt anyone thinks about "oh if I place this trap here, the survivor's camera will turn in this way when theyre walking in this direction and they'll have a 10% chance of getting confused!" more than just threatening a teleport slap to shut down a loop.
