  • I think being called a proxy camper is a little less concerning than the "piece of dog #########" part.

    But maybe that's just me.
  • @PinkEricka, while hate is not much on PS4, the Dwight did send me his love by taking the pain to message me. It never affects me.

You've been graced with Arabic BM. 😂

I agree it is heartbreaking.  If they would add swivel hooking mechanism I think it would help avoid the hooking vacuum that you reference.

There goes my dream of Boil Over ever being useful. /s

Dunno why there isn't a hook swivel as it is. Though I don't think killers have any issue finding hooks anyway, barring DS.

  • P. S. Implement something like this so I can enjoy sweet satisfaction

Been over this a hundred times. BHVR can not stop voice comms. And for them to say comms is cheating but we can't stop it just makes them look bad. If they truly considered voice comms as not cheating then they would go ahead and whitelist Discord. But low and behold Discord IS NOT whitelisted.

They didn't whitelist Google Chrome and my super sneaky perk googling either.

It's raining SALT halleluja it's raining SALT!
Get your stuff together I can't stand the toxic saltbags like you.
Bye Bye, have fun just complaining about everything instead of adapting!

Its funny you just tell the Killer to adapt. Because its people like you who say "Bah if they got rid of SWF, we'd all stop playing" that sure as hell doesn't sound like adapting.

It's supposed to be ironic because the circle-jerky killer mains are the ones always using that excuse to justify everything that nerfs survivors.

But you must be new here if you haven't heard it before lmao.

It's a teeny little bit bullshit to see the killers do the electric slide and whisk you onto the hook while you sit at 100% wiggle meter.

Face camping was standing in front of the hooked survivor. Preventing the "press m1 to unhook" promt from appearing. This has been removed with the introduction of swivel hooks.

It was removed long after the release of the Doctor and shortly after Leatherface was introduced.

Being camped is not fun, same as how being teabagged and taunted is not fun.

Everything else is a side issue.

tbagging and taunting is BM while camping is a strategy

    Do you see a difference?

If you wanna compare tbagging and clicking to sth, then this would smacking a guy on the hook or mori canceling someone

Getting the killer tilted is a valid strategy. I'd happily suck away attention from my teammates so they can finish gens or escape. Killers complain anyway because it takes away the enjoyment from their game.

Tbagging at the end of the game next to the exit gates is BM. Slapping the last survivor dying on the hook is BM.

By this logic then so is camping. Getting a SWF team tilted and having them come to the hook is a valid tactic.

Yes, that's exactly my point. They're both valid strategies that people don't like because of how and why they work.
  • 1. Make the game scarier.

Remove/heavily nerf most aura readings from the game (aside from hooked survivors). Darkness should be dangerous/scary for survivor so there should be a reason for doing and being near completed generators. (Fear meter that increases survivor noise if in the dark or looks at killer too long. Difficult to see red stain in darkness. Etc.) Fog and completed generators should be impairing to the killer. Remove instant saves from flashlights, instead make flashlights blind, slow, then root killers only if holding to direct light.

    2. Make the game more interactive.

Implement alternative objectives that influence the game. I.e. Prying open the barn house entrances to gain access to a generator and a potential hiding/loop location. A lever that opens an escape route/bridge to another area. Multifaceted generators that require parts, minor puzzles, maybe even mechanical failures. Implement alterior hiding spots, like in a trash bin, under crevices/crawl spaces, underneath beds, inside cupboards, etc. Allow killers to interact with the environment by tipping over lockers to instadown survivors or block pathways, or tipping over trash cans on fire to create environmental hazards.

    3. Balance the game.

Regularly take data and openly work to nerf overused perks/killers/strategies/gameplay styles and buff underused perks/killers/strategies/gameplay styles.

In all, take a few lessons on horror from other games to shake things up and create a less bland game. Over two years and it's obvious that the veteran player base is getting bored of tag.

The most romantic form of camping. If only we had a kissy face emote while on the hook.
  • Needs a nerf.

Tho I dunno if the 3s root is the best idea for the obsession.

What are the non obsessions going to get? 1s root at 50% wiggle?

Also going to devolve into a SWF only perk if the only way to reliably use it is with a flashlight squad.

You're right. So where's my option to block you from my queue?

I'm a Leatherface main, often considered to be just above Wraith/Freddy tier - possibly one of the weakest killers in the game. Certainly no higher than mid-tier.

You play SWF which gives you many, many advantages over solo queuers - when one of your grief squad dies, you will know all of my perks. I won't be able to use Knock Out because you can just tell each other where you are, Blood Warden is useless, NOED is severely gimped, etc. That's JUST because you use voice chat. Add the full survivor meta and you've got a 90%+ win percentage if you play like Marth in his experiments.

If you play optimally, I have essentially zero chance against you.

But you want to dodge anyway because you know three things:

    • You can't bully a good Leatherface.
    • I would tunnel you so hard you'd feel like a ######### victim.
    • I don't give free rescues to SWF monkeys flinging feces.

I don't care what killers you play or how you play. I should be able to dodge griefing, toxic players as much as you can.

Translation - You should be able to dodge every killer who doesn't give your SWF grief squad multiple free rescues.

Little side note on how to math. If 10% of 30 seconds is 3. 3x4 is 12. 12 + 30 is 42. That's 42 seconds to finish a gen with 4 people not counting tool boxes. 1 person 10% of 2 minutes (solo repair) is 12 seconds. Thats 2 minutes and 12 seconds. That's not counting tool boxes. And with that I'm done. No wonder the UK is removing analog clocks from schools. This new generation is a train wreck.
Good for you. Solo generators taking 88 seconds to complete will still lead to 3 generators popped in 88 seconds with 1 person playing merry go round as usual.

SWF that actually want to ruin games don't do generators together. Are you aware of that or are we playing different games?

Let me know when you're done with your tantrum.

@lucvus There's no need to compromise. Handicapping players for playing together is absurd to begin with.

The reality is that salty killers will blame every loss on SWF, despite dodging SWF to hell to begin with, and having no indicator of who is or isn't SWF. Even if there is a speed penalty, there will be no end to complaints.

Again, gens go faster when doing them separately. 4 people on individual gens and the killer can only chase away one per gen, and three gens will pop in ninety seconds as usual. People will still complain. What will you do then? More "compromise"?
Am I the only adult here or something.  Life is compromised. And secondly you talk about handicap when playing with friends. And yet the killer is instantly getting handicapped? I play both sides and have been since I bought the game. I worry about this new generation.  Cant use tools, cant do basic math wants everything their way, right now, no compromise.  Your in for a rough life. It's a small compromise as opposed to the new gen cry till its done response. My idea could happen. Yours never will. Why.  Because compromise is a fact of life. Until you understand that you will be miserable. I'll be suggesting this to the dev's. Bet I get better responses than the cry babies.
Oh yes, default to calling other people babies rather than responding to criticism. Very persuasive. Then talk about real life as if we're both not playing the same game here. Very mature.

What idea are you referring to? Did I ever say that the situation should never be changed? I've already thrown my suggestion out, over five times by now.

I simply do not agree with handicapping social players.

How can the developers ban voice chat? Isnt discord a third-party software? Also, I don’t think there would be a way for them to eliminate party chat on console either

Even if they could, they won't. I bought the game and got 9 other friends to buy the game so we can play together. Word of mouth is how games spread, not including people like to be social and play together. SWF will never go away.

Same. But the day the devs decide that the game wasn't meant for social players is the day I move on to higher quality games. I'll have no problem taking at least six other regular players with me.

Honestly, it's hard enough to convince them to stay with the mountains of survivor nerfs over the last year. I should be praised for my persuasive positivity.
  • First of all, let's call it what it is: friends playing the game together. It's not some HORRIBLE, EVIL FORCE CALLED SWF. It's just two or more friends playing the game.

Now let's think about what we're suggesting: discouraging friends from playing the game together. I told my friend: hey, Im playing this awesome game called DBD. It's so cool! Come buy it with me, and invite Steve. He might like it too. We can play together!

So we all queue up and realize: wait. Why are the generators taking so long to do? Let me check online. Oh yeah. Behavior decided: ######### you if you play with friends. So we shouldn't play the game together. So that's what we get for referring friends. It's only been a few hours, so let's just refund the game, sorry guys.

And add the fact that gens go faster when you do them separately anyway. 🤷‍♂️
  • So... Why can't you just slug the second to last person again?
  • Since you're suggesting the end of DBD anyway, you might as well quit now.

"ADAPT OR DIE" - Killer mains
  • For convenience:

This game requires a survivor to Repair 5 Gens each taking 80 sec solo.

So theoretically a game could end say in 400 sec or sooner etc. I would go to say avg game 5-7 minutes. Which means the killer is on a countdown clock with all the pressure. A survivor just has to buy as much time as possible to waste as much of that clock as they can.
So this means the Killer only has 400 seconds to murder 4 survivors for a total victory, or murder 2 and hooked someone else for a normal victory. Now in the beginning of DBD that wouldn’t be that much of an issue, but over the years you have given survivors so much utility that they can nullify so much of that time if they know how to use the tools you have given them correctly. Let us get started

Decisive Strike - getting 1 or 2 of these can be very very bad. In the hands of bad survivors I can catch them really quick. But the GOOD ones that don’t need this perk, already can run killers easily for 60seconds+. Adding this to there inventory makes it that much more of a clock killer
Borrowed time - Perk that gives a 40 sec shield after taking a lethal hit before going down. Again not much issue for the mid to low rank survivors but again in top tier when everyone runs it… that can be 120 seconds of the 400 sec clock easily gone.
Instant medkits – as the tool tip reads it takes 2 hits to down a survivor, you finally caught your prey in a bad spot, they take a hit sprint to the nearest safe place, use this and bam back to needing 2 again no skill required. Again this in the hands of a good runner kiss 3 -4 gens goodbye
Instant Flashlights – these things really are not that bad, but now under new victory cube conditions you spent 60-120 sec chasing a survivor and finally got them down, instant blind boom all that time for nothing. Clock is ticking better get to killing
Hook timers have increased I believe twice over the course of the game. Maybe just the once, but it takes 120 seconds to bleed out on the hook which is a very long time to sit there and your team mates rush gens.. There is no REAL pressure for them to save the team mates.
The Worst of the Worst BNP, I usually hated these things with a passion before the nerf and I hate them even more after the nerf due to victory conditions changing. The killer is already on a very very tough clock and now this just adds more pressure on top of the other tools and utilities survivors have
Again a lot of these tools were added to give the mid to low tier survivors a CHANCE to live and give them 2nd chances so they just didn’t get mopped up by killers left and right. The problem is that as a killer main, this clock is getting tighter and tighter and tighter. A lot of killers in the discord don’t see this pressure because A. Bad matchmaking atm so most of the time you don’t get full rank 1’s and B. they don’t try to WIN every game, they are chillaxed individuals lol. Still trying to learn that one. For Giggles let us look at killer utility to slow down that clock.
Thanatophobia – Very minimal reduction of speeds and countered by Self Care or death.
Dying Light – Probably the biggest joke minus using an Ivory Mori with it. Oh wait we have to hook first, I didn’t think Dying light could get worse
Hex Ruin – probably the strongest of the slow downs, oh hey look I spawned next to this glowing thing.. Boom gone 30 secs into match
Finally Bloodlust – against a good survivor you will rarely get even into tier 2 or be able to keep it. With the map’s being so survivor sided at times, so many safe pallets, jungle gyms, double pallet loops etc. You can keep a killer from reaching the speed required to catch the survivor. Bloodlust still hasn’t discouraged survivors To LOSE the killer. Killers are punished by playing smart breaking pallets or vaulting after a survivor.
A killers Tool’s are nothing compared to what survivors have to waste the clock, the killers don’t have counter play they are along for the ride at high ranks.

I can catch many survivors and I mean many survivors very easily with no questions asked, but when I put myself up with some of the best survivors and then you see where this game is really really unbalanced. All survivor mains in this game are chillaxed why! Because they have no stress time in this game MINUS being camped / soft patrolled. Even when I play survivor I am super chillaxed till I run into a slugging nurse or a camping killer. I have DE pipped and wrecked so many killers so bad with these changes as well as some really good ones. Nurses are the only killer that has a CHANCE to deal with all these tools and utility because it makes it skill vs skill. The other killers are along for the ride till they can force a survivor to make a mistake. When I get caught as a survivor it’s not because I got outplayed it’s because I goofed up.
IN CONCLUSSION When Matchmaking does get the proper fix to where it constantly matches you against players of your skill and not rank 20’s you guys will be able to truly see the difference in the imbalances of the game. So many of the band aids in the game currently give high rank game play way TOO much power. Instead of catering to the mid-tier survivors it should have been the get gud scenario… Killers should be the op and then of found ways to reduce there strength. It feels the new maps are getting worse and worse even though infinites aka “time wasters” are well known in this game, and the new map proved it. Groaning store house is littered with pallets and so many jungle gyms then any other map. On top of that the middle is ANOTHER very long wall with 1 window. So you can’t run around it to chase and maintain blood lust, and if you vault you lose blood lust…

  • I think it's fine as it is. It is nowhere near as punishing as the Huntress's Hatchets, and they're honestly better in a chase when used right, in my opinion.

  • Cosmetics 100%.

Unless Leatherface perks show their face cause I don't want to buy his DLC without getting a survivor.

Pls devs, think about it, Bring back her original Voice,it was so much better than the actual for many reasons

They couldn’t get in contact with the original actress, and she was in another job

Source? the sound files are already in the game, they just have to add it to the character again

They wanted the original actress to redo her voice lines to replace the original ones. Not that they can't reinstate the original voicelines.

A community manager commented that somewhere.

To be honest, I hate every female Survivor in this game because they all sound like braindead apes.

Their sound effects and screams are just cancer to the ear.

Kate's both iterations are no exception.

Disagree with that. Kate's were the only ones that actually managed to annoy me.

How could you not be annoyed by Feng cleansing a totem 😣😖😡🤬
    Or Feng doing anything.
  • yes, that is what i meant.  thank you.  also, claudette now stands like a dinosaur in the pre-lobby.
That makes me so sad. Where's my cute little hunchback?

Being camped is not fun, same as how being teabagged and taunted is not fun.

Everything else is a side issue.

This implies Tbagging has any actual effect on gameplay (hint, it doesn't) just your little feefees getting hurt.

No the point is it effects the players feeling about the game play. They are not saying that the two serve as objectives or point scoring. Merely pointing out that camping is as annoying for a survivor as it is for a killer to be mocked.

anything that effects the player effects the games percived enjoyment, i believe that was the point being originally made.

Also camping ensures (sometimes) a kill and you claim that as strategic, but if someone is that offended by a pixel bobbing up and down that they spend the entire game chasing them getting no where than that is also a strategy, regardless of how low you perceive it to be
    Exactly.

IDGAF if I get camped till I'm dead. It's just not FUN being on the hook till I die. It's not FUN watching a teammate die because he pissed off a Doctor or Cannibal. Sitting at a generator for another 2 minutes is not exactly exhilarating. It's definitely ######### if my first hook is death when I did gens all game while Dwight's jacking off in a closet.

I don't care if it gives me extra anything. It's just boring and/or obnoxious. It annoys me more when teammates pussyfoot around my hook than actually be useful and do gens.

Should players get harassed for camping? No, I don't agree with that. But I don't think it's a healthy addition to the game, and this is coming from a camping and tunneling cheese Doctor. Same as how I don't think sandbagging players should be able to bully killers.

Ultimately, I always point out that the devs don't care about any of that. Despite its problematic nature, the devs have decided that it is here to stay. Hence why I continue to camp with Doc's M2 and tunnel to my heart's content, and solo survivors can just get #########.

  • coupled with the constant threats and ######### remarks towards the killer after the game is over, because he camped or just didnt get any kills (any reason really), is the reason this game has a reputation for being toxic as [BAD Word]

but Survivors mostly always go full on ######### on the chat after the game. sometimes its a regular GG. thats fine, makes sense. but for the most case, its a remark about how bad the killer was if he got no kills, and if he camped, or did anything else like tunneling, they'll flame him for it.

i play maybe 70% killer, 30% survivor, and those survivor matches i do have, i rarely see killers go full on flame mode. but i always get flamed as a killer, almost every single game, in case i decide to camp.

camp = instant full on toxic mode from the survivors.

Hmm.. Sounds like it's unacceptable to have someone harass you and call you names over how you play. Consider the undeniable fact that harassing and flaming players is against the actual rules of the game.

*pat pat* Report them and move on.

"you dont teabag people unless you're an #########."

"name one game where teabagging is considered completely fine and not a dickmove?"

"you get no points for it, ergo, its not an objective."

You're going out of your way to try to invalidate a strategy by creating pretentious and self serving goalposts. You're telling me: "You shouldn't do this because...". You are making rules to dictate how I should or should not play. Why must I only employ strategies that give me points?

Is blowing up a generator to distract a killer not valid because it doesn't give me points? What about bodyblocking a hatchet at the exit gate? It doesn't give me protection points unless I'm right next to an injured player, ergo it must not be an objective, according to your made up standards.

How about you play the way the way you want to play, and stop worrying about how other people play?

    regardless.

teabagging is a dickmove and always will be. all the respectful streamers avoid that too because they dont want to be #########.

but its okay. you dont have to explain yourself. sometimes people are #########. and i guess you are one too.

its like saying: why cant i just be allowed to make snark comments about my opponents gameplay after the game is over that only borderlines to reportable but isnt really reportable?

you can do that too i guess. you're still an ######### though.

Oh yes, can't think of a valid response so you default to calling people #########. Over something so asinine as hitting the crouch button.

Good. I don't expect anything less from self entitled players.

except those two things are not even remotely the same.

being camped is a strategy, being teabagged is ######### and meant to taunt.

you dont camp to taunt people. maybe think before you write.

Taunting is a strategy. I did not say camping was meant to taunt people.

Maybe you should focus on your own gameplay instead of making up little rules for another's.

CAMPING gets you kills. KILLS gets you victories.

TAUNTING does not get you a victory.

you teabag people because you are an #########. even the respectful streamers dont teabag.

    Lol?

I can bodyblock, teabag, flashlight click and taunt the killer to chase me instead of a teammate on their last hook/being tunneled. I do it all the time for my shittier friends.

And who are you to say it doesn't give me a victory? Then again, if youre the type to get your panties in a bunch every time someone crouches, it's already working.

teabagging in every single game is a dick move. ask anyone that isnt you or clearly a survivor main. you dont teabag people unless you're an #########.

its not in your objective to teabag, it doesnt even award you points.

hooking people does, and making sure none gets that guy also gets points.

Okay.. I don't see how that matters, but sure.

It just sounds to me that you're making up arbitrary rules to dictate how people should or shouldn't play.

Ironic, considering that you have an issue with survivors doing that to killers. 🙄
