Yeah, the typical killer player is kind of a crybaby who whines when things don't always go in his favour.

True but there's a lot of killers who are sensible when things dont go their way.

Yeah. I call them: weak ass killers or newbies.

  • Blizzard sure has Q&As. Haven't you heard? Don't you guys have phones? Or what?

  • Yeah, the typical killer player is kind of a crybaby who whines when things don't always go in his favour.

  • 5 to 10% of my games in A DAY have a DC. That's my experience.

  • I think I would like it as breakable environment assets. For example, almost collapsed brick walls, with holes for crouching survivors, which take a hit or a kick to crumble (putting in the dying state whoever is using them).

  • On average they're getting more kills than what would be ideal, balancing-wise. Maybe that's not the answer you wanted tho..

  • Lol, do some killAr mAinz still think BT is some sort of a crutch OP perk? Lmao.

Some people don't want to buy cosmetics though.

Precisely. I find cosmetics prices quite insulting, to be honest. I'm talking about shards prices too.

  • Dem colours.. That's what I'm expecting to see playing on LSD.

  • Long story short: OP's a toxic troll and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Additional point: since it's on average way easier to play killer now, that's what most players are doing right now.

  • The coolest concept for a killer will always be a plague doctor. Dayum.

Watch out! We got a badass over here.

  • The typical KiLlaR mAinZ chant is:

Long queue times as survivor -> "Noone wants to play killer, it's frustrating lololol surv main, karma, lololol, play killer or don't play this game".

Long queue times as killer -> "Must be a bug of some sort. Damn MM!".

Jokes aside, I'm not having any issue (and I almost never had one) finding games with killer and/or survivor.
It clearly depends on region and then on rank, I guess.

KiLlAr mAiNz (I didn't type "Killer mains" on purpose) getting triggered by other players having fun. What a classic.

Coming from a pretty decent killer main, as I am, Legion looks fun. I didn't play him yet other than 2 games on the PTR, but my gf is having fun.

Well as long as your GF is having fun...

It kinda highlights the simple fact many KiLlAr mAinZ refuse to grasp: things can be subjective. A killer isn't less viable or less fun just because some random whiner made a single digit upvoted cry thread on the forum.

Yes, fun is subjective. Maybe if you played him too, instead of talking for your GF, you´d notice.

    Notice, what, exactly?

    That fun is subjective.

I sincerely don't know what you're trying to explicate.

  • Don't feed the troll! ^^

    Amirite?

  • Let me guess.. Rank 10 and above are impossible or nearly impossible for killers.. There's 1 viable killer at rank 15 or above.. All survivors are toxic.

    Amirite?

  • Don't feed this troll^^"

  • I haven't visited this forum in a really really long time. It's always the same, I guess. Kinda funny, but in a sad way ;d

KillAr mAinZ (and I didn't say killer mains on purpose) are gonna complain no matter what, so I don't see the point arguing on such flawed and kind of ridicolous threads. ;d

  • Same. As survivor I instant-join.. And as killer there's too much to wait. I pretty much kind of stopped.

I never understood the killers who complain about bodyblocking. For real.

As killer, if you do struggle to catch someone, and that someone gets off of your shoulders because a team (possibly SWF that bullied/outplayed out a lot ?) is making a train in front a hook and denies it, can be rather frustrating to deal with.
Tho, overall, it's pretty balanced. Still frustrating at times tho, especially with flashlights, dead hards and such. It can make you feel rather powerless and the "bullied" while people should be supposedly scared of you since you play killer.

As you said, it's kind of balanced. People often just remember the "worst" moments, instead of the other half when things went their way. That's why I don't get it. It can lead to "frustrating" bits (because losing is frustrating per se, so I wouldn't use that term), but it can also backlash from a survivor point of view.

I think everyone is forgetting how many SWF groups are not toxic. Watching the gameplay, as both a survivor and a killer, there are more SWF groups then people think. In fact, probably 75+% of lobbies I see have at least a duo SWF. If you buff killers or nerf survivors just for SWF, that will ruin a whole lot of the game. If you show killers when there is an SWF, lobbies will never get played, killers will just endlessly dodge until they get a non SWF and all those people who just wanted to play with their friends will get dumped. As someone who plays with my friends when I'm not taking the game seriously, its annoying to get dodge after dodge when the few games you have everyone usually ends up dying anyways because you were playing for fun. Thats why you were in SWF to begin with. Are there tryhard SWF? Yes. Does this mean the whole thing needs to be dismantled? I don't think so.

Like, even sluggers with knockout are hard to deal with on SWF, callouts only so accurate at times. And you can probably bet SWF will be more likely to snowball altruisim then non SWF. There are ways to deal with it. But trying to punish people for playing with friends is a stupid idea, especially if you take the time to realize how many people play with friends. Lobby dodging is trash as it is, and happens far too often, we dont need even more.

If you really feel it is a problem though, I reccomend a very small bloodpoint buff, but thats it.

I agree. I'll add: in my opinion it's fine to show in the lobby if there are SWF, BUT, it should come with some sort of penalty/time-out for dodging (like the progressive 5-15-30 minutes of League).

  • Pallet changes -> They need some tweaks because of how unresponding they are at times.

Hatch changes -> Seems like a good start, but they need to implement something easier to open it up again or just straight up add a concede and leave button, because doing a gen while alone could work only against half-brained sub-par killers.

Nwe Killer -> He's really cool. They could tweak him a little if they notice something from the PTB stats, but I really like the concept and the mindgames he's capable of.

Just allow Killer to see what survivors are SWF and the problem will solve itself.

SWF will always get dodged then. That will create another problem.

But a problem for who? SWF will get tired of not playing and either go solo or go away. Seems like a good solution.

Sigh. Then someone wonder why discussions like this are not taken seriously at all.

    They don't.

It was kind of a sardonic remark. In fact, for example, Overwatch Public Test server is always full of VOLUNTEERS who, for sure, don't expect random rewards and spontaneously give feedback to help devs.

BNP fits in a flashlight? Talking about being glad that someone is far from being relevant balance wise...
You have been proofed wrong, but instead of admitting that 70% of all matches are SWF, you keep on telling that it´s irrelevant, since it´s not 4x SWF.
What about 2 SWF groups of 2 survivors? Still not relevant?
And no, i didn´t ask "like being bullied by swf?"
But you can´t even recall a quote, while quoting yourself. sigh

I´m sure that at this point you are just trolling.

Sigh.. Pretty much the unexpected bias I was fearing.

2 PFL 2 BNP. I thought survivors could bring 1 item each, but I guess in your game 2 items max per squad.

Lol, I even chose to believe your devs stream statistic. That was not the point. I said it's irrelevant when you put in the same place 2 men SWF e 4 men SWF complaining about and asking for balance.

2+2 SWF have NOWHERE near the same coordination of 4 men squad (jeez, even 4 men SWF are sometimes not that tryharding) and sure as hell don't need the same tweaks.

Well, my sentence about your "survey" was kind of a joke, but I guess when someone is closed-minded and somewhat triggered, there's no way out of the thread.

    Meh.

  • Listen, dude. I don't even quote because I don't think it's that important. I wasn't even talking to you. In this thread you're too biased, you kind of repeat the same thing and often misunderstand other users points. There's no reasonable argument I want to bring up to show you another way to look at balance, you simply cannot accept it.

And yes, again. Last summer you said, that many killers love to play against 4x SWF with flashlights. I asked others, and proofed you wrong. (Please don´t ask me why i remember those dumb things)

Yep. It matters. Because if you think it's the same SWF 2 and SWF 4, then I'm really REALLY glad you're far from being relevant balance-wise, as not a member of the devs team.

Lmao, so, your personal experience and those who you asked should matter regarding statistics? Bet you asked: "Do you like being BULLIED BY SWF 4-MEN-SQUAD CLAUDETTES 2 PFL 2 BNP?!?!".

Well, I'm allright with letting the killer adapt to whatever the survivors bring into the match. However, I'm fine with that if there's some kind of time-out/punishment for dodging a lobby (like most lobby-based online games have). This way it can't be abused by being picky for the wrong reasons while wasting everybody's time.

So i would get punished, when i don´t want to play against that Thai SWF group with a ping of 600+?

That's why there should be an intelligent system that won't let the game start (or automatically kicks) when there are those pings. Encouraging dodging is not the right step though, because it leads to abuses.

Difference is: survivor makes a mistake, gets downed, flashlight save, loop, downed, flashlight save, looped downed next to a wall, DS, loop, downed, pallet slam, loop, ohh joy the gates are powered, a 50 kg claudette blocks a 150kg clown so the injured survivor escapes.

I'm saying this in all seriousness: if you get stunned by the flashlight while picking someone up, you're clearly kind of new to the killer role. It hasn't happened to me in AGES; things may change with the next update due to the removal of the pick up vacuum, but seriously, I don't really get how you can get stunned if you're not just mindlessly playing without thinking.

As i mentioned the clown, it happend on the PTB.
Yes, i usually know how to avoid most of the flashlight stuns. But this time with the clown was completely impossible.

It's true and I agree flashlight might return being a powerful tool, if used properly, but at what cost (for survivors)? Pallet vacuum is CLEARLY much more impactful.

If you're playing/played on the PTB you know that. How many successful hits (which would have been a free stun + more loops) did you manage to pull off thanks to that?

  • @Tsulan said:

The main problem I have with this is number 1. As a killer you cant make a mistake or you lose the game. you miss a chainsaw? then a gen or two pops, because the survivor keeps looping you. Survivors can [BAD WORD] up really bad and still make it out of the game.

There is certainly an element of truth in here. Killer mistakes are punished more heavily but then that is why I prefer playing killer, it is a challenge no doubt about it. However, it is still your mistake that has cost you in this scenario and I don't want band aids to soften the blow. We just need them to even the balance a little time wise so that there is time to recover.

I disagree. Survivors can make several mistakes and still escape. They got plenty of second chance perks or items to help them if they screwed up.
If the killer makes 1 mistake, the game is basically over.
The whole concept of the killer only being able to capitalize on survivor mistakes is flawed.

Imho not true, though. Killer has to pressure the map, this makes him under pressure because of a limited time span. I don't deny that this fact makes the killer under pressure, more than survivors, at least.

Nevertheless, killers can still make plenty of mistakes and win the game. I made a lot of 4ks with many gens up, while missing a crazy amounts of hatchets or blinks or getting stuck in pallets with LF's chainsaw.
There are some games where mistakes weigh more than others, sure, it depends on many factors; but it's the same thing for the survivors. For example: playing solo. You mistimed a pallet stun; you're downed. Killer hooks you and camps you. Game over. 1 mistake and that game is over for you. It's all about points of view.

  • Unfortunately there's already a devs response about that. They said it's a really complicated fix because it involves changing how some of the core code is programmed. Maybe in the future, but it's no easy task.
