I actually like Clown's mori. Maybe, as some have said, tweak the sound effects.

Rank 1 survivor.

Now what?Having previously saw your profile on Steam forums made my statement just a tease indicating scepticism.
It was more or less like saying: you don't even know what you're talking about. So, let's agree to disagree, I guess.

Victimization is good feedback's grave.Unfortunately that's how many killer-sided opinions sounds and it instantly makes the whole "killer mains discussion" lose relevance.
If it loses relevance, then the next event becomes quite unavoidable, which is people leaving, whether that be a specific Killer, Killers entirely or the game entirely.
In whatever way it's voiced, it's not very wise of the team to just straight up consider complaints about the fun factor not important and ignore them.Complaints about the fun factor come from both sides. Victimization and generalization blinds the speaker, thus making the whole issue exaggerated and irrelevant to a certain extent.
Killers complain that they are not enjoying the game, because its more of a chore than anything else. Killer is under constant pressure and experiences high amounts of stress. And don´t get me started on the bullying.
Survivors complain that they can´t pip anymore, because running in circles doesn´t grant them a auto pip.You pretty much sumed up my point, showing what's wrong with this mentality.
"Survivors complain that they can't pip anymore wa wa wa killers complain for the right reasons wa wa wa". Yeah. It perfectly describes the killAr mAinz way to handle the "both sides" discussion.
In the end, the fun factor is a priority for both sides, because looping and camping are a big part of the game and the game can't get rid of those things as quickly as we want. Another big issue is that gameplay doesn't differ based off ranks. That's the crucial point of the discussion that, unfortunately, many killAr mAinz don't seem to get.
Saying as a killer main myself.
Well, as i already said. The fun factor was only about the survivors. Not the killers.
Freddy got gutted because survivors had no fun while facing him.
Still waiting for survivors getting gutted. Because killers have no fun facing them.Have you ever played survivor, fella?

That they come from both sides is not part of that issue, both should be lended an ear, or an eye in the forum's case.
They're not blind either, most unfun experiences that are explained on here are experienced multiple times in quick succession before they'll write it down, otherwise it's something you can brush off.
If i only got a 4 DS SWF team every 200 hours, i don't think i'd ever complain about them. That's what I'm talking about. "Both should be lended an ear". Exactly. That's why I'm against constant victimization and memeing, because it minimizes one side, to the detriment of the other.
It only minimizes one side if the one who with the issue presents it in such a way.
Lend them an ear at first, then judge, is how i view the right way.
Someone with the title of "This is why i'm not having fun" is usually too quickly judged from my point of view, or at least what i've frequently seen on the Steam forums.Sure, no feedback should be ignored and I agree not everyone is "obliged" to discuss about each side every time he wants to point out something improvable in the game; but as a matter of my perspective (I'm saying this based on my experience on Steam's forums), many issues have been presented and discussed in "competition" with the counterpart, in fact, minimizing whatever other issue could have been raised as a valid argument of discussion.
For example: if a player is having a bad experience (killerside) and he proposes a list of buffs which will enhance his fun factor to the detriment of survivors gameplay experience.. Then it's simply WRONG to minimize the counter-argument (maybe an objection to the buffs, which could probably create another fun-factor issue at a different level of play) just because that player plays the victim card.

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion.Mindless killer buffs and/or survivor nerfs probably would kill this game.
What mindless buffs or nerfs?
Do you even know what you are talking about?
Let´s take a look at the last "nerfes" for the survivor meta perks:
SC medkit bonus got nerfed, while all 3 lvls give the same amount of healing. (really hard nerf /s)
BT finally fits its name. Instead of doing 1 unhook where both survivors are immune, the survivor can unhook up to 6 other survivors. Was that really a nerf? Or more of a buff? When killer perks get nerfed, they become so weak that no one uses them anymore. Or when was the last time you saw someone running STBFL or PWYF?
SC and BT are still meta.I'm talking about mindless changes that cater a side, without acknowledging really different gameplay experiences based off ranks.
I don't think you could understand, though.
Oh, wow. You listed some nerfs. Impressive. There are staple perks for survivors and there are staple perks for killers. Moreover, there are unusable trash survivor perks as much as there are for killers. The point? Ruin and NC are still meta. So are SB e DS. So are BBQ and BS.

Yeah, these days I was testing that perk at rank 3 (alongside the other Clown's perks) and it satisfied me so much when I could proc it many times.
-
This thread is the reason why killAr mAinz are hated. Yep. I'm generalizing like you did, because, why not? If a match gone wrong can make you claim killers have a reason to hard-camp anyone, then I guess survivors who get camped once for absolutely no reason have the right to bm/shittalk/t-bag/infinite how many games they want; whatever.
Moreover: if I get so angry I "shake" the camera just because someone DC'd a lost game on the PTB, then I would get myself checked. Just saying, bro.
-
Until rank 5-3 Killers are OP as heck. KillAr mAinz refuse to acknowledge that because their bias keep spamming the same thing as a dangerous meme.
-
Killer's fine as for now.
Mindgames are huge and I'm having tons of fun.

It blocks one window, the arc can ruin your toss which ruins your zoning. That gas doesn't stop them from doing anything they can still drop pallets. His projectile is rather slow. You shouldn't need ruin.>
The arc can ruin my toss? That's why you have to PLAY him, jeez. It's like saying: the unpredictability of Nurse's blink range ruins my chases. You have to LEARN how to use it.That gas SLOWS and IMPAIRS. They drop the pallet (no vacuum too) and they take the hit the next loop.
You don't need Ruin, unless you're against really coordinated ranking SWF squads. There, Ruin is a must. That has NOTHING to do with the killer.
-
@Caretaker said:
I understand, but again, he suffers from the same thing every killer does. Looping, and gen rushing. He's nothing special. How come? You have a great zoning tool, which can prevent many safe-zones in a serious amount of loops.
"Gen Rushing" depends on Ruin and on pressure.
His perks also prevents window-loops (like the Shack's one) and can slow the game to a certain extent.I'll say it again: play him and play against him. You're better than these arid complaints.
-
So refreshing to see these threads. Long live the new forum.
Anyway I'll just repeat it myself: really amazing job with this update.
-
Just play him and vs him^^
Leave early judgements to newbies^^
-
I think you have showcased the issue. Most "killAr mAinZ" complain about survivors being OP, because they only want to acknowledge the top 1% of SWF who actually loop, rush and tryhard. Being a solo-survivor is another thing and being a solo-survivor at 20-15-10 ranks is often a coinflip or a campfest.
How do I know, being a killer main myself, you say? Well. It has been a while since I played this game and these days I tried 20-30 matches as killer, from rank 20 and onward. All of my games have been 4k, except a few crutch escapes. For the record, I played vs 1k hours players too and not just newbies.
All of this to say that even though many "killAr mAinz" love complaining about being bullied and being too weak, they often forget how friggin' powerful is the killer role against solo-survivors and in high to mid (and to a certain extent low) ranks.
The solution? Well, I'm not a designer, but I would surely make steps towards differentiating the gameplay experience, based on different ranks.

It just sounds kind of petty when you talk about a 10ms advantage for the Killer when picking someone up or hooking someone. Most of the "vacuum" you see there is because of lag. When you're playing an online game, the Killer is never exactly where you think they are, same for your survivor's position. This is why some lunges feel like they shouldn't have hit because the Killer seemed further away when he was really closer than you thought due to lag.Not quite. The devs stated it's a "real" issue and they'll fix it. It works the same as the pallets vacuum and it basically nullifies Flashlights as a whole. Hook related vacuum is less meaningful, but it does interfere with the take-a-hit for the team strategy.

@NeaKarlsson said:
Longer hair for female survivors and some Chloe price (Life is Strange) Cosmetics for NeaAnd some Max Caulfield cosmetics for Meg too!
-
They'll remove pick-up vacuum for the killers too. Finally players will have to learn how and when to pick up survivors, in order to avoid flashlights; just because now it's incredibly easy and only an armless killer could be bothered by that item, it doesn't mean they don't have to learn how to counter it. So, killers of the world, try to see which items are in the hands of survivors and try to play differently, based off what you're facing, instead of randomly rely on picking up survivors 6 meters away from a wall.

They're fixing as many bugs as possible before they release it, not sure if you want to play an extremely buggy version of the PTB or a slightly more stable one.Why not both?! ;d

Of course it's ok to switch at the last second, as long as there isn't ANY temporary punishment at all for dodging the lobby.
When there will be some sort of discouragement for dodging a lobby (like many and many other online games) it would be cool if the killer could have 15 to 30 seconds more to think about his setup AFTER survivors have locked in.
