Borrowed Time has always been a major complaint in terms of "balance"

"Let's base an entire killer on the same mechanic of a perk that became known as 'the second Decisive Strike' when it was first released"

  • BT is only an issue for end game, but the end game is an issue by itself which needs major changes Imo.
  • BT is so overrated, it isn't even that good.

    Bad bait.
  • Lol, do some killAr mAinz still think BT is some sort of a crutch OP perk? Lmao.

Because chases are fun for survivors.
And it's all about the fun! (Of survivors)

No, I'm serious I don't think BT is that good.

It's not like the smart killers just didn't smack them before hand and the smart killers won't just smack them and down them again. Because it's all about killers playing smartly and having fun while doing it.

  • and yet borrowed time is the closest thing we have to a legit counter against face campers... besides genrush which just flat-out doesn't work without communication or SWF.

but, ya know... it's not like anyone ever camps.
  • BT can be annoying but it's nowhere near DS IMO.

At least with BT I've got my hook for them to activate it. DS robs me of the hook in the first place.

Plus given how bad camping can be in the game I see why BT is a needed evil.
  • Few times i've had to deal with BT since i never camp.
If they hookswarm then i kill the prick rescuer and let go the one who was at the hook, simple.
  • Im a killer main, a BT is nice cause it's one of the only tool survivors got against a camper / patroller.

    Great perk :)

  • I main Killer, and I Iiked it after the changes in 1.9.2. It was a balanced perk. The 2.4.0 buff was just the result of the devs giving in to whiny Scrubvivors who want to mindlessly hook rush. It basically gives the unhooked Survivor an extra life now.

  • are you serious?
if you hate BT THAT much, then why not run counters for it? Or maybe just countering it?
Borrowed time activates in the terror radius, run perks that affect this or just get away from the hook.
Just wait out the 15 seconds endurance or just hit them twice.
Not to mention it literally just got nerfed...

    Sometimes I'm bad at counting...

  • I feel like BT is needed in the game, sure I hate camping and I'll rarely do it and I always have the unhooker traes places with the unhooked. BT isnt that bad as some say, sure annoying but definently not that bad. Also it's one of the only perk counters to camping aside from just doing gens

So you call decreasing the timer by 5 seconds on each level a buff?

It runs on the Deep Wounds mechanic now so the timer doesn't run down during a chase.
That definitely makes it last far longer than 5 seconds.

The timer no longer goes down while in a chase and you can now stop yourself from going down without the use of Self Care.

And you never actually lose those “5 seconds.”

When you’re hit with Borrowed Time you’re running and now in a chase.

By the time Dead by Daylight registers that you’re not in a chase, it will be well equal to or well past 5 seconds.

The Borrowed Time change was a sheer buff disguised as a shift.

    Thats what I just did.

  • I 100% respect players who run BT, they give up an entire perk slot for another teammates potential safety. It’s not even a guaranteed save either, much less when it’s a survivor running it who is not SWF.

Buffed, you mean. It now uses Deep Wound instead of Endurance.
So a survivor will never bleed out as long as you're chasing them AND they can heal themselves without Self-Care, allies or medkits.

A camper doesn't have problems since he will do what you described, he smacks the unhooked before the unhook, let's him waste the speediest and gets another hit after the unhook (assuming no coordinated bodyblocking)

.it's the non camping killers that are hurt by BT

So the killer can't do what Legions do now which is sit just outside the chase radius and wait then go in and smack them again.
