  • Killers kept their add ons you'd see nothing but tombstone Myers and No Power Onis

If survivors kept their add ons you'd see nothing but brand-new parts and Insta heals.

It's a little annoying to lose the add ons even if you escape or get a 4k, but when you think of the alternatives, it makes sense

I seen even movie and only like first movie and part 5 both where jason wasn't the killer

also what can he do? and you say Teleport I wont be talking to you on this topic anymore not going to get into that again.

These ideas are from the friday game

My idea is give him rage. Kind of like a built in bloodlust where he starts walking/vaulting faster and breaks pallets and walls quickly(slightly faster than brutal) and a morph, kind of like spirits phase mixed with nurses blink. He stands still to the survivors, but makes a noise so there is counterplay, then kinda blinks over to an area. It would be good gen defense and good mobility.

I honestly hadn't heard of Candyman, Pinhead, or Springtrap until I started seeing posts like this. Slenderman and the Xenomorph just don't seem like they'd lend themselves well to a game like DBD, but I do think they're both cool characters. Jason has both though; he's a cool, iconic character and he would fit really well in a game like DBD.

If you haven't watched the original Candyman you need to. It is such a good horror movie with such a cool villain. Hellraiser as well. Amazing movies at least in my opinion. Candyman is definitely in my top 5 favorite horror movies ever

Literally nobody in this discussion is arguing.

And what's wrong with broccoli? Hmm?

What I mean by argument is reason. Reason why you dont like it instead of just saying ew stinky.

I like broccoli btw its just an old analogy(i think thats the word...) with kids not liking the veggies.

  • @DetailedDetriment said:

    Springtrap. Bleck. Ewwey. Nasty.

You could have an actual argument like most people but instead you choose to act like a child who has broccoli on his plate.

Jason needs in this game though

  • @NekoGamerX said:

    Jason Vorheese 3 words ,lawsuit,trapper,boring

Ya ever watch the movies? He can be sooooo much more than a trapper. And if your calling trapper jason then that's a bit of a far shot.

Don't get me wrong I love springtrap and fnaf. But given the choice between the two I'll take the icon.

They need to lock survivors as well! Getting tired of the last minute switch say they can bring a key, and than get mad and DC because they're being tunneled!

People always use the argument that survivors are just skins it doesn't matter, but they don't take into account levels and items on each survivor, it's dumb

  • Sneakface Ghostface

    Build:

    Two faster crouch add ons

    Trail of torment

    Tinkerer

Pop (gen regression is always needed)

    Dragon's grip

And run it on lerys. They will never know when you have your power or if your just using a perk. And you can crouch around all the windows and things and they'll never see you coming. It helps if your cosmetic doesn't have a bunch of frilly ribbons flying off it tho.

  • None shall pass

This post was made by bush gang

  • It would just be segregation of faces. How would Bubba, pig squealing, chainsaw welding maniac, be able to look at someone and be like, oh I can't wear your face cause your black

God that sounds weird to say

Then if the devs removed it because she's black then it's also segregation. Leatherface can't wear her face cause she's black, that would be saying her face isn't good enough...

Man that's even weirder. I'm gonna just slowly back away from this conversation now

Fire up bamboozle micheal is one of the most fun builds for him imo.

I kinda wanna add coup de gra to it. Just think of how scary it would be to have a Myers supervault a window then fly at you with his knife. Vault master sniper

  • @TAG said:

Mad Grit. It is the most important part of my meme build.

Mad grit agitation on piggy, stick on the drill cosmetic, let your ears be soothed

  • Fire up. Especially on a tier 3 myers,a crackhead wraith, or a bamboozle bubba. Even though you just lost a gen you can still have some fun

  • My first game ever was a michael myers game. I got 3 kills and gave the last one hatch. It was fun

My first surv game I played jake on lerys. The killer was a pig who downed everyone but me in like 2 minutes. One of them dc'd and the other two killer themselves on hook before I could save them. Only saw the pig once that game and it was as I was walking out the door. I booped the snoop and gave her a hit as I left

  • @SoylentPixie said:

Just spit balling here, I'm not very good at taking all the mechanics into account so feel free to point out the errors of this idea. But could the survivor gain an exposed status effect after not removing victor after a certain amount of time? It's needn't be a long expose time, but just enough to incentivise getting rid of him asap, knowing Charlotte is coming?

Exposed wouldn't do anything because once victor latches on he injured you. Exposed is for one shot downs, i.e from full health to down on the floor.

My idea and other people's idea is that after 20 seconds if the gremlins on you and you haven't crushed him, he downs you and runs back to Charlotte

  • I think they should make it more detrimental to have him on you. Like give it a timer of like 20 or 30 seconds and if you don't get him off he downs you and runs back to Charlotte

Also they should have him hop off your shoulder when you jump through the hatch. Yay you escaped and now youre back at the campfire.... Oh no that frickin gremlin thing is still on you and is killing everyone at the campfire!!! Get it off!!!

  • Freddy. Shockingly it was when I did his adept. Every other game I got 2 or 3. Freddy was the first dlc I bought. (Nightmare on elm streets my fav horror movie). It was kinda difficult because Freddy wasn't the best killer at the time, but I still mained him.

Not shockingly he's still the only killer I've gotten the adept for

Survivors depip too when killers pick mori .... and mori killers are far more common as groups of survivors escaping the hatch.

See someone with a key bring a mori. Everyone depips, no one's happy

    Killer main here

Keys are bullshit. Spend a whole game playing well and boop they're gone

Moris are also bullshit. Most people who use them tunnel and mori first hook. I bring moris when I see a blendette squad, or a key. Even then I save the mori for the person with the key and when it's the blendettes I try to do it second hook.

Both suck for both sides and need to be fixed

  • Playing Freddy and having someone run in the direction of a gen and teleporting to the gen

If the survivor runs into you it's the best feeling

    Also peekaboo myers

  • Ghostfaces red devil outfit and wraiths phantom of the opera skin

Don't play much survivor but I will say the graffiti new with the hood and the face mask is dope

  • Haddonfield and ormand need a lot of work for everyone's sake

For me I want to see the corn maps reworked, get rid of the orange mist and fix stalking and such

Whenever I play a corn map I get lost I feel nauseated and claustrophobic. The only reason I can play Freddy on them is cause his filter gets rid of the orange glow.

Oh, you don't mean second chance literally then.

At least to me, second chance means that you just overcame a direct negative effect.

Whether the second chance was rightfully earned or not isn't important, not at the moment of use anyway: You have now been given a second chance.

Like Spirit Fury: You build it up, and then use it as a second chance at hitting the Survivor that just used the Pallet on you.

Eh it's less if a second chance to hit and more if a way to quicken the hit. You were gonna get it anyway but you would've had to break the pallet. Now you don't have to break the pallet and you can end chase quick. Keep in mind you still get hit with the stun even as the pallet breaks

  • @Sluzzy said:

You forgot to check on the gen in the shack. You get a notification it is almost done. You are rewarded with undetectable status so you can go sneaky and stop the objective from being completed. Killer got a second chance for being bad at the game and the survivor doing a good brave job trying to get the objective done is now unable to do so.

Killers have a lot of second chances.

This is only if you have tinkerer. Not everybody runs that. I haven't even touched hillbillys blood web yet cause I don't play him. Even then this is not really a second chance it's just information. If I'm across the map or in chase I'm not getting there in time.

(someone doesn't know what second chance means)

There are no real second chances except for NOED.

Even then noed is more of a last chance. And if the survivor is smart they do bones or immediately get rid of noed

Not mad at the pixels on my screen mad at the a hole controlling it

  • @Siberia said:

Eh. Wouldn’t need second chance perks if killers would quit tunnelling and camping. Both sides have their fair share of grief to deal with. I don’t play toxic as a survivor main but man, I get ######### on a lot by killers who wanna tunnel and camp even in red ranks.

Same argument everytime. Camping and tunneling. Sometimes killers need to do that if they want one kill. I try to be a cool killer but if worse comes to worse I do what I have to

Scott Jund is a former Oni main and has a pretty solid guide to playing him on YouTube.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfvciT6nnB8

My recommended Oni build would be:

    • Scalped Topknot and a Duration-Boosting add-on (Topknot is Oni's BEST add-on).
    • Infectious Fright + Corrupt Intervention + A Detection Perk (BBQ / Discordance / Whispers) + Monitor & Abuse (or an additional stall perk like Ruin or Pop).

*Infectious Fright is basically Oni's favorite perk and is a big enabler for his terrifying snowball potential. It's probably something every Oni wants in their build.

**Corrupt Intervention helps Oni during his low-pressure early game while he's still gathering his power.

Much like Myers, you want to build up your power ASAP. You may want to injure a survivor and then allow them to loop you for a lengthy period of time to charge Blood Fury with the orbs they drop. If you find several survivors early-on, injure one and ditch them to chase someone else who's healthy. Don't be afraid to use your power to down injured survivors if it could prevent them from getting to good loops (or could force them away from a good loop). And try to remember where injured survivors may have worked on gens or cleansed totems; they'll often have left a ton of blood orbs for you to absorb.

For Spirit, OhTofu and Otzdarva have some good videos all about her (also on YouTube).

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWYxqOptElw

I don't play her as much as other killers, so I don't have any well-known-to-be-great builds to share, but I can say this much:

    • Spirit's big thing is tracking by sound. Stridor is your best friend for counteracting Iron Will (Spirit's biggest weakness). A good set of headphones also go a long way when playing her.
    • Most of Spirit's add-ons are pretty strong, but the recharge-boosting ones can allow her to use her power more frequently for both chasing and map mobility.
    • Spirit is the queen of mindgames. I dislike when I see it happen, but you can sometimes stand still near a pallet or window to make a survivor think you're phasewalking. If they try to be sneaky and slow-vault back towards you, you can then immediately hit or grab them.

Just get really good at tracking by sound and you shouldn't have too much trouble with Spirit.

    @GrimReaperJr1232 said:

I can tell you a few things about Spirit.

    1. Get a good headset. No, seriously. Spirit relies a lot on sound, hence its necessity.
    2. Other than sound, you're going to need to develop a good sense of both the map and survivor movements. Learn to predict where to go until your ears can guide you the rest of the way.
    3. Stridor is to Spirit what Shadowborn is to Nurse. It helps but if you start using it, you cannot play without it. It's the sole counter to Iron Will, so I won't blame you for it. You're going to need to adjust, especially if you play other killers.
    4. Phasing is a very useful tool due to its versitility. Don't be afraid to use it for mobility, but at the same time, try not to over use it. As a new Spirit, feel free to experiment to see what type of usage works for you.
    5. Spine Chill still gives you away while you're phasing. Remember that when you're trying to mindgame.
    6. Don't bother with undetectable/stealth perks on Spirit. Her ghostly moans and the glass creaking gives her away from around 16m, which while shorter than her 24m TR, isn't worth a perk slot imo. Furthermore, those within her TR can't hear her phasing, and if you have no TR...
    7. Her add-ons are absolutely insane. Duration, Speed, Activation, and Reappearance Speed are the ones you want to keep an eye on. Due to a developer oversight, duration add-ons also give faster recovery hence them being better than recovery is almost every way. Speed and Activation speed add-ons are a bit self explanatory. Her Reappearance Speed add-ons are... just insane. When you come out of phasing, you briefly (and I mean less than a second) keep your phasing speed. How is this helpful? She gets a longer lunge. With add-ons, her lunge is just ridiculous! Try it for yourself.
    8. This is less of a tip and more of a warning. Many guides (Tofu's included) are a bit outdated. Spirit used to lack a vault animaton, keep collision while phasing, among other things. The general idea of how to play the killer is still true, however.

    @SMitchell8 said:

I also recently purchased both. I sucked bad with Oni. Just couldn't for the life of me land demon strikes on console. Spirit I found easy at low to mid ranks but its hard now at rank 11. My Spirit tips would be, use a headset, you can hear pallet vaults, bone cleansing and what survivors are doing when you are approaching/chasing. Standing still at a pallet/vault fake phasing catches a lot of survivors out at low ranks, trick wears off against better survivors. Other than that, just assume and anticipate the movements of survivors. You are also NOT the wraith, so don't phase all over map, save it for gen approaches and chases .

Thank you all very much for these tips and such. I will definitely use them. Youre all amazing

  • Yeah it's one of the many things about gf that is messed up. Sometimes a surv can reveal you from across the map and sometimes they can't reveal you if your right In front of them. His leaning also seems bugged right now. Haven't been able to lean off if anything for the past couple days. I suggest just trying to stay away and loop him for as long as you can. Hell either give up the stalk or hell keep it going, waste time and then you just try to loop him till your mark is up. I know it's inconvenient but it works either way your wasting his time and the gens are getting done

  • I know how you feel my guy....

They're gathering data for the MMR system before they actually release it so that not everyone starts at 0 and everyone has a lot of unbalanced matches for the first few days of the system.

I thought that there was always an mmr for your killers, it just hasn't been used until now.

  • Then why are the killers locked for que

  • @sulaiman said:

Because killers have different abilitys, and play very differently, thats why they got seperate rankings, and thus you can´t change them, because you could queue up with a low rank killer and switch to a high rank one for easy matches.

Survivors, however, don´t have seperate ratings, since they are only skins anyway. Why is there a problem if they switch around? They have to coordinate with other survivors if they are solo.

    @EmpireWinner said:

    Survivors are just skins lol

But yeah, take a break or keep trying I guess

While the survivor is only a skin they still have a level. The higher the level the higher level their perks are, and the better perks they have. The better chance they have better items. That's why I think they should be locked as well

  • I'd like to see a movie about huntress or doctor.

Huntress has such a nice and in depth lore page it would be a waste not to work with.

And doctor just has that vibe that you could do a dope movie following a doctor slowly descending into madness and murder.

In all honesty you could do a trilogy of killer movies, having all of them end in the beasts and monsters being consumed by the fog and awaking in like the basement or something. Like have a movie about hillbilly ending with hillbilly consumed by fog and awakening in the rancid abbitoir right next to a hook then chainsawing away. Next movie is trapper. Ends the same way except trapper awakens in the basement and we hear a distant roar of the chainsaw. End movie.

I think it would make a cool trilogy

  • @Samwise444 said:

    Agreed with the comments above.

I would get BBQ first for Blood Points and Tracking

Level up Hag for Ruin and Devour Hope. While Hex Totems, they have some of the best effects in the game with exposed/mori and game slowdown.

Then Level Up Plague for Corrupt Intervention and Vicious Fright. Another early game slow down perk and a detection/slugging perk

Nurse for Thantaphobia and Nurse's Calling. Massive slowdown perk and detection perk when someone is injured.

Finally Clown for Pop Goes the Weasel and Kinda Bamboozle. Huge slowdown perk and perk that kinda helps in chase.

These perks will help you with killer immensly

I would finish by leveling up Spirit completely, because in my opinion she does not have a single bad perk.

The killers I have leveled currently are PH, GF, Freddy, and Michael. I have Pop and devour from the shrine. I never really saw the hype behind ruin. Not for me. I have ######### luck with totems and they always get cleansed super early. Id prefer corrupt. I want Nurses calling because it synergizes so well with the killers I main, PH and Freddy. I dont own clown or spirit but I plan on getting spirit next, that is if the next chapter isnt something im interested in.

After posting this good ole bubba is level 11. got a lot more games to grind out but thats gonna have to wait till tommorow cause I got movie night tonight. Thanks for the advice it really helps. :)

  • I like the game and lerys when I play stealth killers. I.e Jumpscares Myers.

Personally unless I'm playing gen grab wraith I don't like Hawkins

First of all I agree to your original post. But let me say some things. First of all perma tier 3 Myers is not cheap, it is extremely high risk high reward, and it is your team's fault for giving it to him. I play both sides now, but I like killer more, and I agree that these forums have more killer mains than survivor mains. Getting slugged all game may not be fun, but it is essential sometimes (not like that Myers, he didn't need to slug). Anyway, I have to go now, but I will write more soon.

I like you. You make sense.

  • Gotta give it to my boy Ghostface. His power is nice to work with and I can teabag people lol. He not my main but I love him the most

Second goes to Freddy. He's my main because when we I play there is a good chance I can get a win. I've been playing him since before his rework, he was the second killer I got and the rework just made me like him even more

I also LOOOVE Pyramid head. His power and such can be a pain in the booty but I am just such a huge silent hill fan and I about ######### myself when he was announced.
