surprised no one has mentioned blight yet
Blight seems like he'd be really hard to learn. He used to bump into anything but now the car you see doesn't exist and he slides. Idk I haven't played him yet though. He's the last one I need to get though. I've been having a rough time learning any new killer nowadays though.
-
Freddy and Bubba. Bubba in my opinion is a lot easier to learn than hillbilly. You just have to learn how to keep your chainsaw from hitting things and see when people are about to vault. After the first couple times you can see if your gonna make the saw or not. I like Bubba cause of the mobility.
And Freddy is just self explanatory. Ive mained him since before the rework and I can safely say they took him from being one of the hardest killers to play to the literal easiest.
Some honorable mentions would be Myers and Ghostface( if you don't mind staring at people) Wraith also has an easy power to learn when your starting out

Unfortunately this game is not designed to encourage people to learn new tricks once you reach a certain rank. If you are going for the rank 1 achievement then yeah keep grinding with the characters you know. If you want to learn new killers and have fun, then you have to not care about your rank. I found that I enjoy this game so much more now that I don't care about my pips per match (but I also got my rank 1 achievement a couple months ago so I guess it might be easier for me not to care).
I don't have much care for my rank. Imo opinion rank doesn't really show skill it shows how much you play. Some rank ones barely know to look out for trapper traps while some can frikkin body you in chase. It's mainly the people that make it unfun to learn new things. I'm trying to learn someone knew and it's very apparent, yet they're taking it as a chance to be a holes.

just get friends into a custom game and try then
The only time I get to play is late from like 10 pm to 1am (I go to sleep at 1) so my ONE friend who plays this game, who is a rank 20ish survivor, is sleeping.
The only time I've had a fun time learning a new killer was when a team I went against realized I had no clue what I was doing, so they let it one gen and gave me some practice. This was with nurse as well. Most people are NOT like that at all. So I'm stuck with 30 games where I'm getting bullied and getting maybe 1 chase worth of practice cause they slam gens

That's completely different than what I was saying. There's no reason to kill target one survivor, get the kill, then allow everyone else to escape. There's no excuse, there's point of validity to it, it's just pathetic for a killer to play that way.
I'm not saying like target or tunnel that one dude. Then farm cause you got a kill, That's kinda messed up. There are times where I finally get a kill after hooking just about everyone, but then I realize that all the gens are done and I have little to no points. On the target of sandbagging, if I see you sandbag your team I'm gonna chase you instead and let the person you sandbagged go. Doesn't mean in not gonna go for that person again, just means I'm going to go for you first.

It can be hard to learn new killers, especially against experienced survivors. But, it's a casual game and there's really no reward for winning. Add into that the fact that anyone proud of themselves for beating up a clearly inexperienced killer doesn't exactly have a worthy opinion and it becomes much easier to stop caring, although I will admit that it doesn't change the fact that it's hard to learn when you're forced to jump in the deep end with lead shoes.
The main pain is gens. I have no clue what to do in chase, but I'm slowly learning. In this, I'm having long chases, which is expected. But once I've finally gotten one chase, all gens are done, and I need to go on to the next game and do it all over again. No point in ruin cause it gets cleansed in two seconds. Even then it doesn't do anything while your chasing someone.
I don't mind going against the higher ranked teams that give me a harder chase cause that's what I need to learn. But when the gens quite literally fly I have no chance to practice and all I get is a bunch of tbaggers clicking at me running out the door.

I'd like to see the crooked man from the conjuring 2.
I know he is not original from conjuring btw. But the cgi of him in this movie was good
The crooked man would be a cool idea. Really friggin creepy. Used to have nightmares about that guy back when the indie game came out

Survivors: Fin Shepherd and Shawn (from of the dead)
Killers: I wouldn't mind a vampire from The Strain. I think the tongue attack would be great to see and cause infection like Plague.
Others that I would like would be something supernatural like La Llorana or anything similar to like that
I think general character tropes are way to go rather than licensed characters tbh. Id be more happy to see characters like werewolf or vampire. There's enough pop culture references and lore to differentiate from specific movies and/or books (unless werewolf plays basketball or vampire sparkles lol)
Hey teen wolf is a good movie.
Not saying it's a good Werewolf movie, but a good movie
-
I would have to say the creature from A Quiet place. I feel like it would open up a lot of new power ideas. The problem with a lot of licensed killers is power rehashes. So many character are similar to the point where we might have the Bubba/Billy situation.
Id also like to see slenderman(if he counts as newer) a killer without a terror radius but instead sort of like a static and ring that starts to fill the screen(not to the point of not being able to see ofc) and a constant passive phase(like spirit but heavier doses) don't know what his power would be tho
-
Anything with Corn. I can't see and get extremely nauseated with the corn blindness
A lot of people say Midwitch and hawkins but those are actually my two favorite maps (I play both survivor and killer) those maps are really fun imo

I would rather see them add some more options to get points in the survival category and removing perk tiers.
That would be the perfect change imo
I agree with this. I also wish there was like an offering / add on like trade in system. Like I have 20 lerys offering on hillbilly that will NEVER be used, but I have no survivor pudding or stuff that will be used. So let us like trade in what we have for slightly less points so we can continue through the blood web a) faster and b) with what we want. Too bad people would abuse the shite out of it though.
Also I ######### love your username. Golden

Only 30, actually; 35 is Dead Hard and 40 is No Mither. BBQ is 35 from Bubba.
Still when one survivor game barely completes half a level 10 blood web, 30 is hefty

@SweetTerror said:
Yeah I have a hard time letting go of WGLF when playing survivor. The amount of bloodpoints you get otherwise is so miniscule that it's ridiculous.
Yeah and in order to get WGLF you have to grind a character up to level 35. Feelsbadman
-
I literally just went against a spirit that seemed to know what she was doing, but since I play spirit all the time, I knew how to counter what she was doing. Do you ever play killer? If not you should. It's a bit stressful but it gives you context on the killer strats and helps with your surv gameplay.
And if you don't wanna do that?
Spine Chill
-
Yeah my killer ques are instantaneous and my survivor ques are about 3 to 4 minutes. It makes sense I guess, killer has 4 people that are ready to start when they are while the survivors have to wait for that one killer to be ready

I can't fully remember but didn't the devs say blight is getting his camera adjusted?
But I don't know if they ever gave us a date on that change so who knows if/when it will actually happen.
I don't think the op had a problem with just blights camera. I know what they mean you can feel pretty blind sometimes without shadowborn. Kinda wish there was an fov slider ngl

Might have just been rendering or something. A small bug. Oh well

Had a meg last night right after I unhooked her, she refused to let me heal her even though I had we'll make it, so she heals me and the doc come towards us. Now my mind says "ok she's injured, I'm not. She just got off the hook and I don't have borrowed, so I'll take the hit for her." So I stand in front of her, expecting her to run, but instead she friking stands there, let's the doc hit me and body blocks me, cucking my hut burst so the doc downs her, slugs and downs me. No one saved me.
I am still very pissed off from it

I like it. Been playing trapper lately and having to run around to grab traps is a pain

I don't think there's any reason to leave if you know the survivors aren't on gens. If they're not pressuring you why chase them ? If there's two hovering around the hook you can force a trade if not you keep 3 /4 busy. Now if you know all 3 are the other side of the map you're just throwing by camping.
Yeah but a low rank killer without tracking doesn't know this. For all he knows there's a survivor on 3 different gens who don't give a shite about the hooked person
-
It's kinda needed if you want to protect gens. Totems aren't that hard to find. Especially in most maps where there's one right in the middle of the walkway.
-
For killers: gens regress more when you kick it and gates regress slightly when not being opened(can't 99 the gates) get rid of keys or make it so only one person can escape with a key
For survivors: get rid of moris, give more points, decreased que times
In all better matchmaking and easier adepts
-
All I can say is oof. I know how you feel. Just gotta chalk it up as a bad game and move on to the next

Here's the answer

Amen brother
(or sister whichever you prefer)

Have they done a pretty good job so far? Yeah. So far.
There's still much room for improvement, but look where we started. It could be a LOT worse

Happens sometimes if a killer sees a pub survivor sandbag the hell out of another survivor too.
It's usually what you said though more often than not, unfortunately.
When I see someone get sand bagged I try to let them get away and go for the person who sandbagged them cause it's messed up
-
The only te I do something like that is when I realize after that one kill, I'm probably not going to get anymore so I just try to get as much points as I can. I feel bad for that one guy who died but hey, it happens.
What I hate is when the one person who just urban evades and self cares in the corner doing nothing let's all their teamates die, then gets a free hatch escape
That's BS for my 4k and BS to the people who were actually trying

Overall I don't mind the sounds. The only issue I have is when I play Julie version of The Legion. Her breathing sounds like injured survivor at times for me and I get confused especially when someone is down and I don't have Deerstalker on.
It's those key moments that got me to make this post in the first place. It's great ambience and game design, but in a game really reliant on sounds they need to be turned down a bit
-
It can be very finicky. I have that problem a bit where you press the attack the the split second the prompt changes

I guess they can be a little loud. The only sound I have an issue with is the Clown's heavy panting...
I know. I love playing clown but that man is annoying with his friggin smoker cough every five seconds
-
My favorite survivor is Jake cause he's the first one I played. I'm also looking ace, cause he's quiet and I face a lot of spirits
My favorite killer is Freddy. Been playing him since before the rework and got my first(and only) adept with him back then. I also love Pyramid head and Ghostface
But Michael Myers will always have a special place in my heart since he was the one that introduced me to the game and I played my first game of dbd ever with him, back when bubba first came out. The rest is history :P
-
I always have hard times as killer on badham. I don't know why.
My least favorite map is ormond and I dc whenever I get a corn map. Unless I'm playing Freddy who has a grey tint instead of a orange one, I can't see for shite and get really nauseated.
My favorite indoor ones are Midwitch, hawkins, and lerys. My favorite outdoor ones are Macmillan and autohaven. Although I wish there was a way through the darn car piles man

They just chose to word "Basic Attacks" in a fancy way for that challenge, probably to the confusion of a lot of people (since Demogorgon and Pig have the same conundrum with their special attacks).
Feral Frenzy isn't a basic attack, so it doesn't actually count despite still using Legion's weapon for the hits.
Man that's dumb. Why dont they just say basic attack. I just thought it meant weapon, like you can use bubba's mallet but not his chainsaw. Oh well I got it next game with wraith
-
I've been having similar luck with legion when there wasn't bl. Also with myers sometimes
-
4kd all my games today playing clown and legion (two were 1 gen clutches)
Also, see how the killers who got kills played dirty or were ma boi Freddy. It sucks but sometimes it's whatcha gotta do
-
One if the funnest things is running nurses calling and sneaking up on a blendy trying to self care I'm the corner. It wastes time, especially if the killer has sloppy. Just do gens, find or bring a medkit, or have someone else heal you. Unless it's an Oni, then selfcare away cause you need to be healed asap
-
I would have loved to get badham this weekend. Im trying to learn legion and I keep getting ormond and haddonfield. Other than getting those a lot there was a bit of veriety.
No corn maps though.
Thank god

That is how you do it
Unfortunately unless you know four other people who will do a custom game with you, taking your lumps and learning under fire is the only real way to do it.
Kinda wish there was a bot option in custom game. Like start out with easy level bots. When you feel good about the killer, go to medium, hard, ECT. Theeen go to public lobbies
-
Not much point if it's only going to be when he's carrying a survivor. If its just his normal pov, then yeah that's epic

Just try to find them. If they are a cloaked wraith you are just screwed. But if it's just an insidious trapper just standing there, you can still get chase and bold points going in front of him.
Start doing gens, if you haven't seen the killer in forever and think he's afk go find him. Mess around with him a bit then go back to gens and opening chests. If you bring a flashlight you can blind him for more points.
Hopefully doing this can at least get you a safety pip. I don't know how often you go against afk killers but a safety pip is better than nothing
