Eh, I love Nemesis BECAUSE he does as the OP described. Obviously he has counterplay and good survivors know it well. But I would rather play Nemesis than any of the killers survivors religiously whine about. I can't believe they struggle with Artist, for instance. Embarassing as hell, but not as oppressively cringe as the Legion haters that came out of the woodwork.

I don't like that he has to hit survivors trice to down them the first time, while his power is still charging up.

Doesn't give much of the unstoppable killing machine he's supposed to represent.

Especially on higher mmr, where survivors know when to use DH. It easily turns into 4 hits for the first down.

What's even worse for me, is that almost all of his addons revolve around improving his zombies. Which tbh, are only useful in 1 out of 10 matches.

Well that depends on what rank are you, I've played couple more games and got few exits too and the games seem to be getting better and better,

but it just could be me being lucky on noob killers, I've 360d almost half the killers I faced today

    auras remove skill of intuition,

if you see 2 people sitting on gen and one running to the hook where the hooked person is,

you can lay back, get a drink and keep holding that M1,

this is why it's my favourite soloq perk, because when I get hooked I don't get bombed by 3 survivors while 0 gens are being done,

while also removing the fear with killer reading of going to the hook, if they see the killer leave, and more so, they see the direction they are leaving,

there's certainly something soloq should have to help with soloq, but I don't think Kindred basekit is the right thing.

Maybe show survivor perks when loading or something, so that people can see, "oh Bill and Jill have adrenaline"

Today i played 8 matches as survivor and escaped 6. Got decent teammates in all but one of the matches.

The one thing i would wish for solo queue, would be a rating system, where you could rate your teammates and get a higher/lower chance to get matched with them again.

  • Problably gonna get crucified for saying this. But, i think solo queue is mostly fine. Sure, some matches are doomed from the start, because someone sabotages the match by suiciding/disconnecting. But apart from that it generally feels balanced. At least on my mmr (wherever that is).

The emblems can sometimes be weird. Like, when you do gens in coop, it only counts half the progress towards the Lightbringer emblem. Or today i got a gold surival emblem, when i was never hooked and just took a protection hit at the exit (without getting downed).

  • You should definetly try playing as him! Most of what you said, would be invalidated, if you simply took a couple of matches and played as him.

I can play this game for five hours and escape one or twice. Most of the time theres not even ONE game where all four survivors make it out. Solo queue is a nightmare. I'd literally be winning more in a BR than I do in this game. Genuinely awful.

Wait... what? 5 hours and only 2 escapes?

This greatly varies from my experience. Like holy cow...

Basement Blight huh? That might be enough power to join the ranks of the elites... who are the elites you might ask?

    Insidious Hag..

    Overcharge Freddy..

    but worst of them all..

    Bamboozle Nurse

Can´t wait for the "this is OP, plz nerf!" threads of Bamboozle Nurse!

  • Of course the nerf didn´t change how strong CoH was. All the people that claimed, that its dead now, simply read nerf and didn´t even consider that it was just a 2 second nerf. This just showed that the devs don´t really know what the issue with this perk is.

Which btw. doesn´t give me confidence for the upcoming rework of the meta perks.

  • @keepingitril said:

How can the same thing come up again and again.

Having BP attached to Perks is poor game design and should have been done away with long ago. A perk should be a modest change that affects your gameplay in some particular way, not the scoring of said gameplay.

There are 7 perks with BP elements attached and hopefully they are all in the 40 group to be updated.

That so many killers run it as a pseudo-crutch for more BP is a different issue.

And only 2 of those perks apply the bonus points after the match. Which kinda makes the other ones pointless.

  • @Pulsar said:

I saw a basement Legion the other day.

    I was....intimidated

I never would have expected a Basement Blight. It was the first time i saw something like that.

Legion also makes no sense at all.

  • BBQ was implemented to give killers an incentive to leave the hook, by giving the killer new targets. Now if they take the aura reading or the bloodpoint bonus away, this perk would simply vanish.

I mean, I get kills all the time without noed, I've maybe had 2 or 3 trials of trying it and I ditched it fast, not my kind of perk

High lvl mmr usually doesn´t complain about NOED. Since they either find it quickly, so the killer barely gets 1 down or don´t bother at all.

I also don´t use it. I´m not a fan of endgame perks. Because they are very niche, and not powerful enough for having a perk slot unused during the biggest part of the match. Today i had a match against someone with a full endgame build. This included Rancor, while i was the Obsession. End of the story, i was the only one who died. Asked the killer how this build performs (out of curiosity) and he got all mad at me. shrug Meanwhile i was happy to see a Nemesis mori.

Even on low ping tho, like I rarely get pings over 100 on dbd

Earlier today i had a match as Huntress on the Game. After the match i got accused of having weird hatchet hits, since "they went through everything".

Huntress hatchet hitbox officially is trucksized but simultaneusly fits through small gaps.

  • @JohnWick1654 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2981214#Comment_2981214

No they are sometiems right, sometimes the hitbox of hatchet extends to the size of the bus loop at Autoheaven,

sometimes it flows right next to your face as if the hitbox was smallest,

sometimes Nurse hits you from Freddy Kruger distance,

rarely but sometimes I guess could happen that Nurse right next to you misses.

But yeah, just calling them op undodgable is kind of cringe.

Then they are lagging. I´ve seen weird hits from both perspective. It always looks weirder for the person with the biggest ping.

  • Thats weird. I always considered the saloon as a survivor friendly map, due to the main building being so strong.

  • I totally miss hawkins. Some people don´t like indoor maps. Because some killers powers don´t go well on them. BUT stealth killers are perfect for those maps.

They could, maybe add a higher/lower chance to get a indoor map. Depending on the killer someone is playing.

  • Honestly? If the LGBTQ+ community is happy about David being gay, then i´m happy for them.

I´ve been maining Jane + David for a very long time and will continue to do so. Because it doesn´t affect me in the slightest.

Getting more skins is always a great thing. So getting a Drag Queen outfit for David would probably sell (especially if its a mixable outfit and not this legenday stuff). If the representation makes people feel more comfortable with the game. Then i´m all in for it.

  • @GoshJosh said:

Some of y'all are what's so wrong with solo queue. You're really gonna leave a teammate on hook and throw the match, because they took a 4% chance for fun - assuming you were going to unhook them if it failed? Reasons to 4%:

    • That survivor gets the survival BP - typically the hardest survivor category to score in and max out
    • Self-unhooking can prevent a few killer perks from activating (Make Your Choice) or gaining power (Devour Hope)
    • Fun, built-in feature in the game

Well, then i wish you a lot of fun, while you enter the struggle phase.

I played as and against Nurse numerous times, they can be dodged, but a good Nurse will make it hard or impossible at close distances.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2980533#Comment_2980533

    yeh

There seems to be a misconception between what a killer can do vs what survivors think, the killer can do. Like, that Nurse has auto teleport to the survivor or that the Huntress hatches have truck sized hit boxes. If those people would try to play those killers (which are free), then they wouldn´t make those assumptions.

Ive even crawled to the gate when a slug, killer closes hatch, it procs adrenaline, I am on my feet opening hatch and out the gate before killer can get there.

One of my favorite escape tactics LOL I always run adrenaline just in case

Exactly! Sometimes the gates have also enough distance to open it in the time it takes the killer to check both.

It kinda keeps the tension until the last moment.

I'm asking why this scenario is even a thing, it's a time waster.

So survivors can get a escape, even when undeserved?

  • I´m not sure if you´re asking for the hatch to be removed.

Its a free escape if you find it first. But can be tricky if the killer finds it first. Best chances of survival are to go to a gate and wait for the killer to close the hatch. There might be sufficient time to open the gate and escape.

  • @Mozic said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2979339#Comment_2979339

For sure! I mean, when I'm playing killer I tend to have a fairly merciless reflex when it comes to punishing survivor's greed, but often times what a seasoned survivor knows is ambitiously greedy, a brand new survivor is just still learning. So for example if I've already discovered that the team I'm up against is clearly not out to play the best game of their careers against me and are making amateurish mistakes, if someone divebombs a hook in front of me and fails, Ill just leave them slugged by the hook (and not come back). The time a third survivor has to then take to unhook + pick up the slug + whatever healing they want to do tends to make up for the surrendered hookstate.

But ya know, everyone's welcome to play how they like - I just mean to say that its like being a competitive chess player going up against their nephew. You might know they foolishly played into your checkmate in six turns, but they sure don't - and confounding them with your elite chess skills is more than likely just going to go over their head since they're busy remembering what directions the pieces are allowed to move.

Yes, when i notice they are clearly new. I try to go soft on them. (i remember a match, where instead of killing, i just carried the survivor to the basement and dropped him there.) Endgame ggeeeez from that survivor.

But then, when i stomp a new team, but let them get some bloodpoints before killing them, so they don´t get into undeserved mmr ranks. They also complain. Even when they died with 27k bloodpoints.

  • @Carrow said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2979412#Comment_2979412

I submitted seven consecutive survivor games. 6 of them I didn't even get 10k bloodpoints and I had one measly fun match in there. They can fix their game any time they want.

I´m afraid the issue might be a different one...

  • @Mozic said:

Maybe if you realize that you're up against low-skill survivors, ease up on the clutch a little bit?

Today's baby survivors could use a little nurturing to develop into tomorrow's stable playerbase, after all!

While yes, i agree that going easier against lower skilled survivors should be the norm.

I also have to kinda disagree, because the sbmmr won´t make anyone a favor in this regard. The low skill players will get matched against better killers and the high skill killer will face worse survivors.

yes if you've used bloodpoints modifiers or if someone had party streamers etc.

You said in another post, that only the first 7 surveys count and everything else gets discarded afterwards. What happens if people introduced the wrong amount of bloodpoints into the first 5 or so surveys? Do they still have a chance to complete the survey, if the fill it out right after that?

And they also all have "Do 3 unhooks with X" and then there's the generic ones to do gens/heal/coop that can be done on anyone. Each killer has 3, their power, chase and mori. (unless I'm mistaken)

    Exactly!

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2979090#Comment_2979090

I don't think that's the case. Im pretty sure that ritual counts as one ritual and whenever you get that ritual it randomises a survivor to do it with. I play killer most of the time and get mostly killer dailies.

There is also kinda a killer shortage. Which could explain that the dailys prefer killer dailys.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It's because There are way more daily rituals for killer than there is for survivor since every killer has their own daily ritual.

Nah, thats wrong. Survivors have more dailys. Each survivor you own has a "survive and escape a match as XXX" daily.

The system simply assigns you more dailys for the side you play less.

    1. find camping killer (shouldn´t be to hard these days).
    2. stand as close as possible to the killer. (you should hear the intense music).
    3. get to the fridge or something.
    4. once the crows are buzzing over your hear = challenge completed.
  • Things to do to get Iri as survivor:

    • Escape chases. Whenever the killer is carrying someone, try to get close without getting hit. Do that a couple of times.
    • Unhooks+Heals. 2 Unhooks + 2 heals and you´re good to go. When in doubt, do another unhook.
    • Gens. You need to progress the gens as solo. Coop gens share the progress, so you get lesser points for that.
  • Have you considered playing killer instead?

Are you using any meta perk? And if you won't need them anymore, you would replace them with which perks

I use BT. But mainly, because the survivors i unhook usually have a tendency to run straight to the killer. Which ruins my WGLF stacks. Apart from that, i only use perks that make sense to my playstyle. Not what the meta dictates. Oh and i like to test out new builds. Throw everything out and play with things like Boil Over, Power Struggle and Flip-Flop. Or i go full dumpster diver with Plunderers, Ace, Appraisal and Build to Last.

The perks that i would take after the rework, would mainly depend on what they rework and how. Its sometimes fun to run perks like Deja Vu or Blast Mine + Red Herring.

  • HA! I´m already using NC and Lithe!

  • @lav3 said:

I can understand a bit if solo survivors feel that way but.. feel weird to see SWF or survivor mains who played this game very long complain about those.

People just start to hate versing the same killers over and over ad nauseum.

Without realizing, that by asking for killer nerfs, they effectivly reduce the amount of killers they´ll eventually face.

  • I don´t get why a killer must be fun to verse. The killer should be fun for the player who plays it. Not for the people that go against him. Or has any killer every complained: "yeah, i don´t like going against Jeff"?

  • @Sluzzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2976191#Comment_2976191

My complaint is that regardless of how well the survivors played in trying to do the objective, it was impossible due to slowdown perks. A high mobility killer shouldn't be able to use slowdown perks.

    Why not?

  • I don´t see whats the issue with this match. You died and got more points than most people that survive after a gen rush.

You said yourself, killer played fair, didn´t camp or tunnel. Yet you complain.

  • Solo queue is okayish for me. I get a little bit of everything. Usually 3-4 man escapes (might be that one that dies) unless someone disconnects/suicides. Which brings us to the first point:

    1. Its annoying but until the devs don´t want to treat suicides like disconnects, there´s probably little we can do.
    2. i think we should come to a consensus here. Some people struggle, when the killer is camping. Others struggle, when the killer isn´t camping. Until people have decided which is which, i will always assume that a basement hook = camp.
    3. matchmaking prioritizes short queues over fair matches. Nothing to complain about, if you don´t want to wait 20 minutes for a match.
    4. CoH is still meta and extremely strong. Residual Manifest could be strong. But lets see how the community reacts to guaranteed flashlights. Darkness revealed sounds strong, but then again. Its just a information perk. Which aren´t meta right now.
  • Counterquestion. Why should killers give the hatch?

    • Survivors don´t offer themselves to be sacrificed, if the killer has a bad match.
    • Survivors aren´t grateful after giving the hatch. They just leave.
    • Survivors might even get mad at the killer for giving the hatch.

    So why should killers?

  • Actually I'd love to have another test like the bloodlust test, where they took it away for a weekend. To see if killers could play without it.

Sluzzy has kinda a point here. NOED skews the kill rates. Would be nice to see where killers are standing without it.

I’m not trying to take sides here I’m just saying that saying “x side gets more nerfs” is an insanely flawed argument

Yeah, but offering to make a list was kinda...

Just wanted to make a point there. To reflect about the whole list task.

Both sides receive nerfs. Sadly with unmatched time frames, like the year difference between the mori and the hatch nerf. Then when one side receives the nerf to balance things out, people with really short term memory claim that only their side gets nerfed.

  • 1. Find a camping killer.

    2. Move next to said killer.

    3. ???

    4. Challenge completed.

Each individual killer is different and has an entirely different set of addons and abilities so obviously they’ll get more nerfs lmao

The lengths people go to create Us vs. Them arguments are shocking

You mean like asking to make a list?

    I totally agree!

  • The mmr prioritizes faster queues over fair matches. That's the reason.

Now ask yourself how long would most people be willing to wait. In order to get a fair match, when there is a disparity between the different roles.

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2970091#Comment_2970091

I.. wha... are.... HOW? I suppose the hatch change wasn't a nerf to survivors or certain perks being buffed and then scaled back again. Do I really need to make a list for you or were you just exaggerating?

    Yes, please. Make that list.

Every single time someone tried to make a list, claiming that survivors receive more nerfs than killers. Someone else came up with a killer list, which was 3 times longer.

But I'm sure your list will be different.

Devs have been spamming us with slowdown perks for over a year. Because they see, that something is wrong with gen times. But don't know how to fix it, without making gens even more boring to do. Ironically, despite gens being boring, they are the favorite thing for survivors, when not being chased.

Oh and on regard of the hatch getting it's first nerf after only receiving buffs. Moris were nerfed twice before that and are about to receive their final nerf.

  • Yesterday i was accused of Pseudo Camping (wasn´t even sure what thats supposed to mean).

Apparently its wrong to get looped around the shack, when someone is hooked in the basement. I really should have turned around and ignore that survivor...
