Even this killer acknowledges this advantage and is using it to tryhard everyone to death on purpose. All other arguments are invalid.Out of curiosity. How many killer and survivor vials have you filled?

Not yet, since the error only appears when I shut down the computer right after leaving the game. I think it has something to do with syncing the data.SenzuDuck said:

Noticed in my first 5 games that generators are just not being completed due to everyone searching to go harvest. Thus allowing killers easy kills and deaths. Also sucks you cant sabotage any of the event hooks. Really puts surviors at a disadvantageYou also can't kick the Cankers, which puts the killer at a severe disadvantage.
Weird the cankers count as a generator? Oh wait no they don't. The survivor equivalent of being unable to sabo event hooks would be that while harvesting you would be invisible. > @Tsulan said:
Survivors not being able to sabotage event hooks was the very best decision the devs made this year.
You crying how unfair that is, just shows how toxic this feature was.
So do survivors get invisibility when harvesting the event objective? That's the same thing as not being able to sabo event hooks. They don't. So you're toxic if you don't agree survivors should be invisible while harvesting.
And no, they shouldn't. Since it's not the same. Been playing the whole day. First 2 hours as killer (long queues) and got 6 vials. Then I played 2 hours as survivor, and got 19 vials.
Killer is more difficult. Since he has to reach certain hooks. If survivors would have been able to sabotage them, this would have turned into a really ugly event. -

This is only the beginning!
Once the survivor mains got their vials, they´ll swarm the killer queues. -

Wait... you complain about an alternative way to obtain skins?I complain about how they implemented it and why. Survivors are being catfished into a grinding sidequest whereas killers have to do the same thing they always did. Also as a survivor main, the skins are mediocre and the killers got pretty good skins for them.
Survivor skins are mediocre? Are you kidding me?
I mean for this specific event compared to the killer skins, they are mediocre in comparison. Frankly I wish they would make scary themed survivor skins.
I think they are looking great and i hope they do more steampunk skins for the other survivors.

It´s way easier to get vials as survivor. Also faster.
But don´t worry, once you have completed your survivor vials, and start doing the killer ones, you´ll see how hard the killer ones actually are. -

@Tsulan I’m not saying we should get free harvest, my point is killers would ignore gens and go straight to camping plants just so we wouldn’t get them.
But killers can´t see the plants. They have to search them, like survivors.
-
They are already hard right now. Unless i get a group that just wants to farm.
There are no normal matches right now. Either SWF deathsquads that know how to keep me busy without getting all my hooks, or the complete oposite. -

What platform and timezone are you playing?
PS4 est. I was able to get 3 vials as killer in 4 games and 9 vials as survivor in about 15. Have you seen people report once everyone has the 30 vials full on either side you no longer can interact with the plants and break them for points? If you don't get your stuff early. The grind will be real when people stop burning offerings.
I hope they change that. Otherwise it will be impossible to get all vials.

When i enter a match with 2/3 filled vials, i don´t burn a offering. Since i can only fill that vial.
That´s the reason people are so cheap on offerings.
Everyone requires 2 matches to fill them. Even if there would be enough to fill a complete vial. -
Survivors don´t give me free hooks. Why should i let them harvest?
-
I see tryharding SWF teams.
So business as usual. -
There are 2 on each map + 1 per offering. If there are only 2 or 3, then you didn´t made the offering.
If the killer camps, then camp the killer or do a gen or search another one.
I found if way easier to get the survivor viales, than the killer viales. -

Just bad RNG. So far on my P3 Wraith i've had almost as much Bloodwebs with 2 Pustula Petals as I have had Bloodwebs with 1Made more bloodwebs. Every lvl 50 bloodweb gave me 1 offering. But the lower lvls seem to give more.

Bad RNG i guess.

It's random, and random is never there when you need it. I had a bunch of points saved up and started prestiging my wraith during the event. I've been getting 1-4 per bloodweb without fail.So you can get more, but you're at the mercy of RNG. The woes of level 50.
RNG is not always random. Xcom 2 players can tell you something about it (95% hit chance = miss)
What about the vials? Do you think the devs might change that?
-
My experience from the 4 matches I played as survivor and that I required to fill 1 vial:
- 2 offerings = get 3 harvested messages before I even find the first flower. Survivors suicide on hook.
- 2 offerings = killer uses memento mori
- 2 offerings = killer tunnels and camps
- 4 offerings = finally filled my vial. Feeling generous and let the killer hook me without struggling. Get tunneled after that.

I think you're both screwed since if the EAC bans you then they can't do nothing unless they can detect a bug or something that causes it.
We are not banned (yet). I just got the error when i closed the game and shutdown the pc. Maybe thats the reason.
Most likely, I highly doubt you would hack anyways. I think they will fix it soon and your perma ban from the EAC will be lifted. Usually they can't do that if the ban was from the EAC but I think they can let this one slide since it was a bug that falsely caused the EAC to ban you for no reason.
No, we are not banned or anything (i can link you my profile).
We only get the error message (small white window) when we leave the game (happend twice to me).
But i don´t get the error everytime. I can play just as normal. It feels just a little bit scary, when this message pops up. maybe @not_Queen can tell us something about this. -

@Eight To be fair, sometimes people will do things like spam crouch or flash their torches as a way of saying "thank you", but since people do those same things when they're being dicks it's hard to distinguish between the two. Of course, if they then went on to insult you in postgame or something, that's another matter.
All the pointing and "come on" motions make me think otherwise. But yes, it's a fair point. And it's why I give a nice bow instead - unless the killer is engaging in tomfoolery and a crouchy crouch laugh is appropriate.
Conclusion: we need more emotes
Yes, let me pick up the dead bodies of the fallen mid match and sling them around in the air like a T-shirt at a baseball game as pig! Let me do this and you can butt dance at the exit gates for as long as you want!

I feel like what a lot of people are missing is that it's mostly a matter of disappointed expectations. This is the first time they've tried to monetize a community event, and they gave no indication that they were doing so until a dev stream 24 hours before the launch of the event. People have grown to expect a couple of token cosmetics in exchange for a fun grind exclusively with events, and there was no reason to believe this would be any different. Events are usually free. Amazing skins like that are usually cells-only, and most people are fine with that. It's the fact that they combined the two and it just feels like a Halloween skinset with extra steps. It's nice that we can get one for free, but I think it's understandable that people are upset, not because they don't get free stuff but because they built up an expectation based on past events and were then disappointed.
@Peasant The florist analogy is quite helpful. If you want to understand the opposing viewpoint, you could think of it this way: If this florist had come to your house with a bunch of roses they were selling, and you said "wow those are amazing" and they were so flattered that they gave you the whole bunch without you having to pay. They came to your door several times after that, each time with a bunch of roses that they give you for free. They say that it's because they like you so much, and really appreciate how much you love their flowers. Then one day, they appear on your doorstep with a dozen bunches of roses. You think, "oh wow, are they really going to give me all these just because they like me so much? That's amazing and incredibly generous, they must have put a lot of work into arranging those flowers." and the florist says, "look, you can have one bunch for free like usual. But I want you to pay for the rest." Some people are going to say "I understand, thank you for the bunch of roses." They might even say "I will happily pay for more." But I hope you can understand why some might be a little disappointed, even if they understand the florist's point of view, because every time they've met the florist in the past, they've been given free flowers and told that the florist wanted to give them free flowers because they appreciated them so much. They might feel like they weren't appreciated as much as they thought, or that the florist was really only priming them the whole time so that they'd be willing to buy flowers when the time came, and the flowers weren't really out of appreciation after all but a marketing strategy instead.
I know it's not a perfect analogy, but I'm trying to illustrate a different viewpoint so that there can be more understanding of other perspectives, even if we don't agree with them.
I'm just glad someone else tried their hand at showing the other side's view merely because I'm too tired and fed up with their nonsense to take their view seriously.
I understand the disappointment of learning that you cannot get all of the skins through grinding. I wasn't too thrilled to learn that initially but at least we get something. Besides, everyone keeps clamoring for new features and ideas, like dedicated servers, but then when it's time to fund these projects and pay the developers and designers for their work everyone falls silent.
The main reason I lack empathy for the other side is namely due to the realization that I'm talking to children. Dead by Daylight is an 18+ horror game. If everyone here is an adult and everyone works we should ideally be able to set some money aside from our paychecks and then buy the cosmetic we like at a later date. However, what I see is a see of repeated grammar mistakes and entitled whining. I'm trying to listen and see reason but all I'm seeing is people shouting and whining at the devs because the community overhyped themselves. It's the figurative equivalent of stabbing yourself in the foot and then whining that the people who sold you the knife are at fault for your horrible choice and bad judgment.
Of course it would have been nice to get more free skins. But no one works for free. Devs did an amazing job with those skins.
If people can't afford them, then they still can unlock a complete set for free.
People don't NEED those skins to play. They are purely luxury. What's really great is that majority of the skins are killer skins which can't even really be seen outside of the menu and the first 5 seconds of a trial. People are getting genuinely upset from their own hype over cosmetics that most of them won't even see.
Might be even survivor. -

Absolutely having fun. There is just some game design that is underwhelming. Most glaring is rank system.
Ive played each character through their unlockables, some through their prestiges now. The problem is, there is no real end result except bloodpoints, which i can see now become useless at a certain point in the near future.
Dont want the game to just abruptly end without a cycling progressing goal with rewards.
I'd say there's plenty left to do. -

It's about their "biggest event ever" which has no sense of accomplishment or fulfillment by any chance, as you can aquire the same stuff as some1 else by just buying it with real money. The event, a one time occasion, should be a Thank you from the devs, for playing the game. And in rewarding, you get a exclusive outfit(s) for your particular time in those/that patricular week(s).
They shouldve just said like, here is 1 killer skin and 1 survivor skin, this is what you get for playing the event. And all the rest of the outfits shouldve been saved for another time, either beeing bought or earned.
