I probably butchered the quoting, but, just wanted to highlight that SovererignKing doesn't add anything constructive to the forum and just puts people down in a passive aggressive manner or otherwise. May also be a hypocrite.

    I don't understand...

You're actually describing quite precisely what you do everyday down here.

Accusing someone else for his own faults...
Describe it as much as possible so people will immediatly cringe and understand the bullshits...

Oh yeah sorry, just trolling, and not the most creative one btw...

Should we do a Bill version of this picture too ?

I would LOVE to have the bill version!

Killer lobbies are only high, because survivors HAD to play killer. 4 times more killers = long queues.

That's it. Nothing else. Survivor hasn't become suddenly unfun or unplayable.
The healing nerf only increased teamwork.
Now, after defending SWF for ages, teamwork is suddenly a bad thing?
    Like, really?

Survivor is still to easy, still to quick to complete the objective, SWF still OP, the majority of the killers are still not viable on high ranks, etc.

But survivor mains think that the increased lobby queues for killers mean that every survivor left the game. Which is simply nonsense.

Like i said before, the nerfs weren't what done right as SWF is indeed still OP and an objective based team will probably all escape. On the other hand if not SWF and your team isn't too objective based, as long as your against a good killer, one of none of you will escape. As for what you said about pipping, it's really easy to pip as killer, even if you only get 2 kills

It´s also really easy to pip as a survivor. 1 unhook + 1 gen = pip. You really have to be the first to be found + camped/tunneled to depip.

Killer of course but you have to wait longer to play

Killer not even close. He would have to get to 6 event hooks.
Survivors just team up and do a plant in 30 seconds. They need 2 1/2 plants for a vial. WAAAAY faster.

But you rarely survive as survivor so you lose half amount. As a killer i have no problems with it everyone gets in with event offering . Always. If killer wouldnt be so long with waits i would have already got my share

You don´t lose anything if you fill the vial.
You only lose a tiny amount (smaller than 1/3 if you die without the vial being full)

Just need iron grasp and a little strategy. Try to work from the outside in. But if it's easier to earn them as a survivor for you then carry on. I can only speak for my experiences.

Wait, I'm wrong on what I said.
It's only 30 seconds if you do it alone. As team it takes something like 10 seconds.
You can't even get to a hook in 10 seconds. Especially if it's on the other end of the map. I use iron grip and agitation. Some hooks are simply to far away, especially if not every survivor made an offering.

Killer having to use 2 perks to get the vials vs survivors that can do it in 10 seconds with 2 times more progress.

But you keep telling yourself it's easier as killer.

Devs claimed that face camping is  not bannable, only to remove it shortly after.
Devs claimed that only 22% of all survivors use SC.
Or that they know that the high kill rate of Freddy originated from survivors disconnecting, only to nerf him because of that high kill rate. They admitted that they went to far with the Freddy nerf, but that was a year ago with no buff.
The list goes on and on.

None of those things makes them liars. Don't get me wrong here. I'm a critical thinker. I don't accept every single thing they say as fact. They are human and humans make mistakes. Having listened to a couple of these different videos they have at the very least appeared to try and be honest and transparent. I don't believe they have some secret agenda to screw over their player base. They are bound to get things wrong from time to time. But making an honest mistake is different from intentionally lying.

SWF was rushed in after to many survivors lobby dodged. They never said on a pre release stream that they are planning SWF or something like that. They always said that's a 1vs1vs1vs1vs the killer, where teamplay might increase your chances to survive. They always balanced around solo players. Now they suddenly claim SWF was planned from the beginning?

I really find that hard to believe.

They also said no clowns. I doubt they can pop out a new killer in a month.

How is this a lie? Changing a game mechanic because it absolutely 100% prevented normal gameplay is not them accepting it's bannable, it's getting rid of a ######### mechanic.

Devs claimed that only 22% of all survivors use SC.

Old statistics, i'm sure it's much higher now.

Or that they know that the high kill rate of Freddy originated from survivors disconnecting, only to nerf him because of that high kill rate. They admitted that they went to far with the Freddy nerf, but that was a year ago with no buff.

Again, how is this a lie? They, as you state "admitted" they went too far with the Freddy nerf and have said they're buffing him next, what part of any of that is a lie, it seems like a whole lot of transparency to me.

The list goes on and on.

The pre release streams said the survivor should feel scared and the killer should camp.
Now they changed their opinion on this regard and prefer that the killer has the role of the party clown. (They also said NO CLOWNS!)

My opinion biased? I play both sides on high ranks and I've been playing way more solo survivor in the last 3-4 months.
But I still think that killers need massive buffs.

I'm currently farming the petals with a lvl 37 Dwight. With rank 1 Bond, Rank 1 Deja Vu, Rank 3 Urban Evasion and rank 2 Iron Will.

Unless the other survivors suicide after getting the nectar, I usually make it out of the game alive.

Oh and you can get points in the survival category by healing yourself. SC can do wonders in that category. But someone with 2500 hours SHOULD know that.

Killer also don't have way to gain Item/addon from the game
They also don't keep their addon if they win.
That also without conting the fact that a survivor doesn't need item and addon to do good will some killer are basicly harmless without addons

    Correct.
The bloodpoint gain per hour is roughly the same. If survivors perform badly, they'll leave the game with only a few points, BUT they can instantly go to the next game.
Killer is stuck in the game until everyone left or is dead.

Any good psychologist might tell that people experiencing guilt ... for telling a lie (for example), are more likely to be the ones to beg people to trust them ("This is ALL true so far").

On a more serious note, I've already explained in another thread why BHRV will never call SWF either cheating, or just a mistake. Because sometimes, it is easier to silence the victims of a bad situation, than actually solving the problem. In these cases, authorities make something become legal ; not because they think it is good, but only because they can't fight it. This is a basic Public Relations strategy, and this kind of pollitics where used way back in history.

So yes Zombie, I too think BHRV can't be trusted on that subject ... I might if it made sense, but the way SWF screw so many perks and game mechanics ... this can't be right.

That's some nice conspiracy theory thinking you have going on there. They seemed rather transparent in their answers to me. They went into a lot of detail about chasing around objects for instance. I see no reason why they would lie about SWF either.

    K then.

Tsulan, you're probably one of the biggest complainers of mechanics on this forum - it would be an absolutely waste of anyones time to try and tell you why this game is holding killers hands at the moment, there is no end to the amount of killer buffs that are going into this game, and that's fine I have no issue with it.

What I do have an issue with is killers that are bad at the game complaining about ANYTHING.
It's long been touted on this forum that SWF wasn't meant to be in the game and it was unintentional and an after thought because people begged for it. Now that it's factually incorrect and it was always coming people are to complain even more so about SWF because "Muh game ending coms".

I would consider my complaints to be productive criticism. Because I always explain WHY something is bad or OP or weak, etc.

The game isn't built around bad killers that need their hand held at every opportunity to be honest. You'll rarely get a "SWAT" swf team and even if you do you're getting angry at an intended mechanic because you're having a hard time dealing with it.

    Nice choice of words.
No, the game isn't built around bad killers that need their hand held.
It's built around bad survivors that need their hand held. SWF is exactly that. It boosts bad survivors to ranks they don't belong, which gives the impression that SWF isn't that strong. On the same it boosts good survivors to death squad levels.

    And stop picking on @Master.

  • Don't bother with Dying Light. It's simply not worth the perk slot.
By the time you have tunneled and killed the obsession, at least 3 gens have been done.
That 25% slow down won't make a difference.
Also, spending a mori to get a 25% slow down isn't exactly a great mechanic.

I thought geting killer vials is so easy, wasnt that what all survivors complained about?

Btw, the original plan was to have only 15 vials on each side, so consider your suggestion to be carried out already since you can gain 30 only on survivor now

Getting killer vials so easy ? Are you joking ? You get max 2 games per hour. Now most survivors don't even bother taking event offerings so you are stuck with the 3 hooks you get by default and your own offering which makes it 2 games per vial necessary....and then you even get tryhard teams who even try to bodyblock you out of your well deserved event hook....give me a break

    I am not joking.

Right at the start of the event, countless of threads poped up claiming that its a killersided event, farming vials as killer would be so easy and that it is so unfair for the survivors

Those complaints were more towards the fact that killers could farm vials through normal gameplay while survivor's had to go a bit out of their way to farm since unlike other events their currency this time isn't tied to gens.

Most of the complaints were happening during the first 40 hours though and then most survivors figured out how to effectively farm the vials and were quickly done before going over to killer.

Killers having to equip 2 perks (Iron Grip + Agitation) to reach hooks at the other end of the map isn't exactly normal gameplay.

Survivors didn't had to equip anything and could do the flowers together.

Milking the pestulas is not exactly normal gameplay either. As a survivor, I died most of the games because I was milking the pestulas instead of doing the gens. (Which would have been fine, if everyone wasn't milking them.)

Survivors have plenty of time to milk and do gens.
The real problem during the event were farming survivors that only milked and suicided afterwards. For some reason BHVR didnt see this coming or they believed that players wouldnt go for the optimal strategy

    Exactly.
If people can exploit or bypass a mechanic, they'll do it.
  • Players? Probably something around 12 years.
    Characters? Between 25 and 55.
  • How shocking- a date offered by BHVR turns out to be wrong.
Out of curiosity, what other dates offered by BHVR turned out to be wrong?
  • Pallets are working as intended.
    There are no servers.

So I assume you play only simulator games.
    Since everything else is unrealistic.
    Means I can't even recommend civ 5.
  • I'm still waiting for the patch that punishes survivors for staying close to a almost repaired gen.

Please don't camp and tunnel gens.
Please don't camp and tunnel your fellow teammates.

    It kills the fun.

Btw. Have you tried deceit? There the monster can insta kill you and the match took less time than the loading screen.
Now THAT'S  frustrating. Not the 40 second chances you get in DbD.
  • BBQ does 4 major things for a killer:

    1) Gives 100% bonus bloodpoints at the end of the game if you've hooked each survivor at least once whether you've camped or not.
    2) Tells the killer when to camp and when not to camp.
    3) Shows the killer where on the map to look for other survivors (increased killer efficiency — also shows which survivors are injured and easier to go after).
3.5) Forces survivors to move off of objectives or waste time trying to counter the perk once they think you have it.
    4) Starts chases even before survivors know the chase has begun (especially on high mobility killers).

In summary, once the killer is already doing well, it elevates killer efficiency while decreasing survivor efficiency to an extreme. It's a perk that helps killers steamroll when they are already steamrolling rather than helping bad killers do a little bit better.

    1- correct
2- if it reveals no survivors, because the aura reading can be bypassed so easily, the killer has to assume that they are close by. Which is interpreted as camping (you cause it by your own actions)
3- only if they don't hide
3.5- wrong. Survivors doing gens are invisible to the aura reading. They bypass it.
4- chase starts when you hear the music.

Killer only steamrolls if the survivors are doing bad.
Also, he has to complete 12 objectives in the same time survivors have to complete 5 shared objectives. 1 1/4 gen per survivor = 100 seconds of work.
  • @Tsulan said:
That's the whole purpose of it. Give the killer a reason to not camp and tunnel.

But survivors complained that they don't want to be punished for the mistakes of others. So the devs nerfed the aura reading.

Right now it's a joke. Half of the time I won't even see a survivor with it.
Devs should remove the aura reading blockers for it. Just keep it at minimum distance.
If survivors don't like that, then they can equip sole survivor.

I mean, why should survivors have free choice on what to equip while killers are forced to equip so many perks to counter survivor gameplay that doesn't require perks?

    Sole Survivor doesn't counter BBQ...

    Wrong
And BBQ doesn't incentivize not tunneling...

    Wrong

And BBQ helps killers camp more efficiently...

    Wrong
And it's still one of the top killer perks in the game.

    Because of the points

What are you going on about?

I could ask you the same

So... any update on this? You still think it's to easy to get killer vials and to hard to get survivor vials?
Radio silence here buddy I guess hes waiting in a killer lobby right now XD. See if he shows up in the forum somewhere complaining about the queue times for killer that will be hilarious.
    Damn...
I was prepared for a "nice" conversation.

  • The game was programmed to be peer to peer. Turning it into a server based game is very costly and might not even be possible.
  • Been a bug for over 6 months.
Since it only affects killers i assume they'll fix it by Christmas 2020.

They should, otherwise they would look really stupid. Also, they tend to listen to killers baby tears a lot.

    You wrote survivors wrong.
  • Image the devs would change the killer hit box, so they can loop as fast as survivors.

Forum would collapse, because survivors wouldn't know what else to do.
    They never learned to juke.
They never learned to play stealthy (ninja claudette on a pitch black night isn't playing stealthy)
They only learned to run in circles.

Agreed; 3 hooks should be a full vial. So much harder to get a vial on Killer than it is on Survivor.

    Not according to survivors.

Then survivors are insane, a buddy and i filled all 30 vials in 2 days but gained 20 full vials in a 7 hour stint(never DCing on purpose, always letting the killer farm us for hooks as well). Ive spent about that much time on a killer, and much of it was in a lobby and im barely at 11.5. its hard as hell to find groups where 3/4 of the survivors petal, and thats if survivors also arent toxic, blinding and pallet looping you into oblivion where you dont even get the base amount of hooks you need. Survivors have it super easy this event, and can easily all 4 fill in a single game by sharing flowers. Out of my 11 vials completed only 1-2 were a full vial game.

I know that, you know that, every killer main knows that. But survivor mains think it's harder for them, because reasons.
  • It's a mixed feeling. I have fun and really enjoyable matches but I also have terrible matches that just make me want to quit the game and calm down.

Solo games: (60% of the time)

    1) Dead by Teammates, just plain bad teammates who crouch all game and refuse to do any gens. Mates get downed within 10 seconds of the chase, always have to save them.

    2) Actually get a good team but this time the killer is a God Nurse with NOED.

Q: Which game was more fun?
A: That's right. Both were bad.

    Don't gen rush.
    NOED only affects gen rushers.
Also, if it would have been a God nurse, then you wouldn't have reached the gate powered phase.

I'm playing solo all the time, because my friends got burned out.
I don't get the point if "good game when I survive" and "bad game when I die".

I escaped with 13k points, Black pip = good game?
I died with 22k points, piped = bad game?

Yeah. It's a dead content game due to killers having way too much power over survivors. The killers are generally bad at the game, so they come on Twitter, forums, Reddit etc. and complain about the killers not being up to their standards.

    @SnakeSound222 Its tier 3.

Ok, then it’s just Survivors knowing how to counter the perk by either getting close to you or switching directions.

Aura reading has been nerfed to much. Right now it´s way to easy to counter, so it defeats it´s main purpose: giving the killer a new target.
    claps slowly

Survivor mains really did a great job on this one.

I agree. I don’t think they can understand that BBQ encourages the Killer to do not two things that a lot of Survivors hate: camping and “tunneling”.

I mean why have survivors free choice on what to equip, but killers are forced to equip so many perks that counter survivor gameplay which don't require perks?
