Halloween Blight - Who cares about the money?!

Seriously people. We’ve been getting DLC’s cheap as hell for years. $5-$6 for Chapters, tons of optional cosmetics for dirt cheap as well. In todays game market all of DBD’s stuff is dirt cheap.

Not to mention it’s not like the developers are lining their damn pockets with the cash. TONS of work is going right back into the game. Killers, Survivors, maps, perks, a massive hiring and expansion of staff for better service. It’s not like M.Cote is sitting there lighting cigars with $100 bills laughing at us like EA, Ubisoft, and others do.

The bought out Starbreeze and are making sure to give us a better experience. We’re getting every bang for our buck we could ask for.

  • ^ This and most of the people complaining probably have no issue buying dlc cosmetics from these very same places and spend a lot more.

  • Exactly, unfortunately people always get greedy when it comes to free #########.
  • It's not about paying for DLC or Outfits, because ppl would have been complaining about that since the store came out basicly.

It's about their "biggest event ever" which has no sense of accomplishment or fulfillment by any chance, as you can aquire the same stuff as some1 else by just buying it with real money. The event, a one time occasion, should be a Thank you from the devs, for playing the game. And in rewarding, you get a exclusive outfit(s) for your particular time in those/that patricular week(s).
They shouldve just said like, here is 1 killer skin and 1 survivor skin, this is what you get for playing the event. And all the rest of the outfits shouldve been saved for another time, either beeing bought or earned.

Now Imagine that you wouldn't be able to unlock the hollowed blight skins. That you could only buy them with auric cells and that the event would instead give you a glowing eyes effect for the base killers.

    Would you be happier?

Exactly where do you think those skins would “make sense” to drop them other than the Hallowed Blight event? Secondly, it cost a lot of money to pay the art and design team to make all those skins. Money they need back now, so they can continue to pay the art and design team to make more new skins.

It’s not like they can go to the art and design team and say “Hey, thanks for making those skins. We’ll pay you once they go live later. Please take this promissory IOU till then, and continue to work making more new skins. Then we’ll pay you for the other Hallowed Blight skins.”
  • Honestly I have no problem with paying for the blight skins because I don’t know about anyone else (and this happens to me during every event) but within these 2 weeks due to my busy schedule I may have only (maybe) 4 days to play (at most) so I would have no problem supporting the devs and buying the skins I mean they’re pushing the game in the right direction so why not?! Also they kinda need the money after getting full rights to the game

To be fair they are more like legacy 2 type skins than halloween, these skins could have been brought out anytime and didnt have to be called the hallowed blight at all, any skin could have been dropped for halloween like the last events, as long as they were exclusive I dont think anyone would care.

They are just skins so its not the end of the world but its not a great event, its a play for some free skins which anyone can also purchase, there is no difference with the current available cosmetics, they may have added a few new looking hooks and flowers but it is the same as what we currenlty have, new skins being released and some grind shards for it while someone else simply pays for it, its not an exclusive like in the past, like the old legacy is, can you imagine if they decided to release those into the cash shop, Id bet this forum would actually set ablaze.

  • EA would've locked all cosmetics behind Auric Cells.

  • I didn't see the live stream, so if someone would be good enough to clarify something for me; will the cosmetics be available for purchase right from the get-go, or only after the event is over?

    Get go
