It depends for me. Out plays are fine, but the moment you teabag on the other side of a pallet, you can bet I'll ignore the others til you're gone. Then there's endgame camping. If it's the only way I can get a single kill because I decided to try wraith or LF (even though I avoid them because I'm terrible with them) then im going to do it.
If you play on ps4 I'm a wraith main and id love to see more wraith's popping up

LOL I play both survivor and killer, just talking about the killers who camp when they get butt hurt. In fact, I mostly play killer, but you'll never see me be toxic.
Define toxic, and before doing so;
1. What is your current strategy and build
2. Would you be upset going against your own build/strategy
-

It really does seem like a chunk of killer players are just hoping to feel power by trying to make others feel miserable.
Same could be said vice versa but that's not the point since this is a thread about being upset about a instance of camping that course will gain traction, flood the forums for a couple day then die off

This just occurred to me, recently we've been seeing a LOT of licensed cosmetics, Ash was the first who came with 2 separate outfits then Pig and Tapp got 2 outfits each, then Ghostface got a bunch.
Following this trend, if it is Stranger Things we would expect a whole bunch of cosmetics for the characters BUT if it is the Demogorgon...######### are we going to get as a cosmetic?
Haven't watched the show, read their wiki but don't they slightly change coloration growing up plus there was one that looked cleaner than the others? Those could all be possible cosmetics

Yeah. Some of the responses to this have been cringy as hell. We get it folks you don't like Stranger Things. Well not every licensed DLC is just for you fam.
I agree I've never watched ST probably never will but its not like I'm out here killing everyone elses fun (but honestly after seeing what a demi-whatcha-call-it looks like i will definitely play a bit of it)

I have said this and I'll always stand by it. For me, a dlc without a killer is just so immensely lackluster that I get bored in a week of its release. Survivors are simply nice skins that have a unique voice and perks that varys gameplay very little and with a IP as big as Stranger Things, yeah, it'd be quite disappointing to see no killer. Yet, I guess I could see them switching things up.
The only way i can see a survivor at all changing up gameplay is if they bring a new item to he game with their release so... Yeah i agree solo survivor releases are boring
-
I never really get let go unfortunately i play hide and seek too much for that lol (I'm a claud/meg main) but in my early wraith days i was your stereotypical wraith memer and would play try hard whole mach kill people asap then carry last to hatch (unless they had one of the cursed items; key, map, flashlight) or they wanted my attention so they could try to get a 5 gen chase in

Jake needs this or put it on a new killer lol

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 yea but you see, he is overkilling problem xd ofc unnoticed frame of tap might be problem but where is 0,1sec animation (gens have vacuum) and where is 1sec, he is just mad because of connection he couldnt see vacuum tap, but remember they cant change that because that would mess up with gen tapping during ruin which as long as is in almost every 2nd game and most of survs cant hit great skill checks (if they could, noone would run ruin because it would never make it worth) i guess he hit gen repair +1bp, 80sec/1250bp = 0,064 sec -> i guess thats min time require to tap gen
His point was that the survivor didnt appear at all to make any gesture to the gen yet it stopped regressing as she ran past WHITH OUT breaking running aniation(or as he put it waved her hips at it) lmao no surv should be able to do that (other than Jane but that's another point 😏)

well i guess its typical killer main post when youre licking your wounds and im not part of "youre right dirty survs should just stand still and not interact with killers"
because you all talking about what i typed as bait or BS youre telling me you hate to think when to use ability to kick gens xd, bet thinking is hard for some ppl
No you miss interpreted his point that everyone BUT you got he kicked a gen it started regressing he got in chase with a survivor in another spot on the map lead him to the gen, who absolutely did not stop running AT ALL past that gen which magically stopped regressing because the tap was so fast it didn't even pick up in the frames of the game and that is what is BS since you obviously had it explained to you in the simplest way possible and you couldn't even grasp the concept that or you not want to grasp the concept to keep a fire burning which is also bs

Wait...
After the first rescue?
Or after all 4 have taken turns becoming the Obsession?
If its an swf it will stop after the first/second rescue (especially if there is a random to pass it onto) if its all solo it is highly likely it will stop after each obsessed survivor takes a turn on the hook also don't miss interpret that as h effect would stop they just simply won't rescue because who wants to get a mori
-
@Galklife said:
at 1st who cares about difference between 3 sec and 0,1 sec, if you kicked gen next to surv, its your fault xd, if you kick gen its regresing (its not like in those 0,1 sec its back to where it was before you kicking, unless youre kicking it next to surv which is your fault not game xd) and if you kicked gen, and it regressed for 12sec you got profit out of it xd and its hard for surv to touch gen in 12 sec unless killer will kick it without paying attention to surrounding area, use pop, overcharge (for more value), or brutal for faster kick, or whispers (to know if there is surv nearby)
devs gave killers possibility of kicking gens, killers: "why i have to think when to kick gen"

And Joe Kerry (Steve Harrington). Double survivor chapter?
If it is I will honestly uninstall and actually find a fun balanced game where you don't have roving swf death squads lol I mean only way I would be redeemable to bring in two survivors is if we get two killers but then that defeats the purpose of the whole thing right since they only have so many ideas left for killer powers and I don't believe they've updated us that that has changed in one way or another

We got an answer already from peanits, nothing special sadly..
I have everyone p3 full perk and im devotion 10, and yeah.. We have done nothing special for the devs. When to be honest is more harder now than before, just because in 2016 someone have done a prestige now he has a legacy wow. And us? We did the impossible, 4 pages of perks on every pg, honestly i think we deserve something better than legacy, like a gold name tag in game or something else
So everyone could avoid gold tags? Oh a gold tag at rank 12? Lobby dodge

OMG 🤣 The ultimate gamble! That's brilliant, I didn't even realize because I forgot the Obsession get switched.
But then after the first full round of switches survs wont rescue meaning no more furtive (with swf it would only take one switch for them to stop)

Play wraith with all-seeing blood, and windstorm blood never have to worry about a loop again and if they sit at a pallet make them drop it

Its a really good fun combo when you get all your stacks on furtive chase basically no terror radius for some fun game of wheres the killer definitely recommend you guys try this out

Maybe it's because people are noc accustomed to slugging. Back in the days it was very popular strategy due to the fact how powerful Saboteur perk was. I myself am not a fan of it. Sure I do slug people but only when I can get quickly in a second chase so I can force another player off gen. But good teams will still do gens and without Deerstalker you can lose your slug. The problem is killers without tools to slow down gens - I myself can power through Ruin as if it was not even there even when playing with a controller. But I am not playing the game to win every match - I want my sweet BPs so I always do chests, totems etc. But there are teams who will gladly escape with 5-10k bps simply because they can only to show their dominance and belittle the killer in the endgame chat. Devs fail to recognize this problem and always have 1 response to that: "It's not very common". Sadly I beg to differ.
I agree and that's why i believe every person should have their own idea o what's meta and what they want in their build (gets boring after 20 games of nothing but DS, BT, BL, DH, adrenaline, etc)

Slight problem with that theory.
He's from the 90's, so there's no chance he would know about the games existence even if this were true.
Even if it isn't a game it could be part of any major media of his 90's maybe a tv series (a bit less pg than sammy's), or a comic either way he knew where he was and that others would see what he would do

That is true but to be fair slugging meta died and is only good with some killers. Also Unbreakable can counter it. The main problem is most killers are on a timer from the very start of the match and if survivors are not stupid they won't waste any second just hop straight on gens. That is 4 survivors working on 4 gens, by the time you find one 10s or more have passed and 3 others are still doing gens while you chase 1. Sometimes 1 chase = 3 hooks and if so that is basicly GG for an M1 killer.
I play wraith never had a problem slugging a survivor here and there actually perform better on slug matches than matches I rush people to a hook
-
@[Deleted User] said:
It's what M1 killers encounter when survivors spread out on gens, play conservatively at loops, and force pallet breaks early. A lot of survivors operate under a misconception that they actually have to loop. The maps aren't tuned for looping. They can be ludicrously inefficient with pallets and never run out if their teammates hammer gens. Some will chime in a and say "but muh gen pressure", but gen pressure isn't a thing when there are 4 healthy survivors. It's fake pressure. You're just going to play whack a mole with gens without hooking anyone. Gen pressure can't start until someone is on a hook.
Eh sometimes a slug can be more damaging to the survivors than a hook

Cuz perks can be used every time, offerings are getting consumed. Imagine you could use a perk to disable a killer addon. Or make you not mori-able. Would be stupid design.
Yet most survivors don't need perks for that lol I certainly don't

PC. EU region. Well for me it's always problematic to get matches quickly. In the morning I have to w8 up to 10 minutes to even get a game. In the evenings its slightly better but still having to wait 5 minutes to get a game which can also be cancelled if someone DCs is a massive waste of time. Because of that I swiched to survivor as I can get into matches instantly.
I don't know what my region is called but in in the US and I've caught people all the way in South America, but back to point, I play usually from 8am to 10pm then I sleep for almost 6 hr then wake up and have another 2-3hr stretch, pre-match DC isn't often here unless someone gets the hint your spirit and brought a mori/blackward but then I can switch to survivor and its like the one trader in whiterun "id sell you anything, including my sister..." Just to get a match but that's my personal experience. Also forgot to mention I play on ps4

I would not say it's larger playerbase as people often play both roles and also currently we have more killers hence long que times as the devs themselves confirmed it. But this rulebook is just a meme to have a laugh.
Hmmm what do you play on and what times cause when I play I go almost emedietly into matches with only the occasional 5m wait

Being valid means being legal, but not necessarily efficient. So yes, slugging is a valid strategy.
Actually slugging can be one of the most efficient strategies behind rushing one man to an early hook grave (which has the bigger chance of snowballing against you)

It is true that is a slug build , and that slugging is a strategy, but the goal of this player was not to win but to make everyone's experience awful and that's not okay, i don't think that anyone can finish a game like this and say that he had a good time
No I believe you thought that was the persons intent maybe they got tired of getting red ranks as a low purple so they wanted to get some points and depip to less toxic hunting grounds
-
Lmao so slugging is something survivors rage at now? So we can't slug, we can't tunnel, we can't bring in meta perks, we can't bring in meta killers, we can't do this, we can't do that god survivors are so ######### entitled they want all the power to control a match yet when a killer uses any form of a strategy to gain or even hold the power of the match its toxic and should be fixed SMFH

Monitor and abuse. People use this perk but don't walk behind trees or buildings trying to surprise the survivors. I mean... Why do you have a lower TR if you just walk straight at people? They can see you from a mile away!
Wraith with shadow born says hi
-
Yes the math comes out to be 8m (8.32), which is why Doc can use it better (remember those calm add-ons? you can get another 12m making you like 52m tr, add in M&A you can get 60m but I digress) in reality it depends on angle compared to gen (if you pass directly by it survs will spend more time in your tr and the further out you will give them less time in but theoretically speaking you would have someone in your TR for almost an extra 4 seconds (3.63 repeated if in treatment which is most suggested) this is based off that the TR is actually just one direction because it is the radius we doubled everything here to give the actual TD (terror diameter) which is in all directions starting from the beginning of one tr to the end of the other.
Tl;dr
Doc without distressing= 32m tr = 64m td = ~13s in punishment = ~14s in treatment
Doc with distressing= 40m tr = 80m TD= ~18s from beginning to end of the effect in treatment= ~17s in punishment
Doc+D+calm= 52m tr = 104m TD = ~23s in treatment (not doing punishment since it drops the tr by 12 instead of increasing it making it lower than punishment base)

I don't think either is better than the other.
I feel Michael has more potential for HUGE snowballs and massive power plays if done right.
Ghostface is more focused and though he can't can't snowball like Myers he can use his ability more often and potentially get more downs or at least the same amount of an average Michael but over the course of the match.
They're both stealthy but Scratched Mirror Myers is the stealthiest
I personally prefer Ghostface over Myers even though I love Michael, I just don't like how restrictive it feels with Michael to get his ability. I can get Stalk and down people fast as Ghost but with Michael I have to work hard and time it right and then utilize that time as well, if I can't find anyone in T3 then I wasted that ability and my potential later on in the match. Ghostface doesn't have those restrictions, he is a true stalker and assassin, even after he Exposes someone he is still in stealth, unlike Michael.
Have you ever used a chewed pen, downed someone then waited for their friends to come good snowball potential in that one granted pig coined it lol

GF has unlimited stalking potential. Also there are tricks you can use and you won't be revealed. You can stalk through chain/regular fences crouching and survivors won't reveal you. You can sneak peek and hide and later stalk again. You can do 99% stalking trick. GF has much more opportunities if player correctly which makes him better stalker, Also his ability to hide his TR and stain + ability to crouch can offer plenty of mindgame potential as well in chase. Myers is just Wraith with NOED on timer nothing more.
I don invite the wraith comparison (Im good with wraith [Bad Word] myers, and depending on how I feel that day I could be god tier with GF) honestly I feel GF has more of a comparison to wraith since his ability to hide is about even if not sometimes better than wraith (unless wraith stands still)

So proxy camping, not actually camping but keeping a close eye on people coming in and then Stalk them. That sounds pretty hard because the angle you would need is pretty precise and not always there, you'd have to be at an angle to get enough Stalk on them going in and not be spotted while waiting. Of course you'd run in and then stalk from the stairs.
This sounds challenging but exciting to pull off, I need to try this. Basement Builds are what excite me the most in this game 🤣 I'm such a monster. I get flamed hard core sometimes but I laugh it off because they're ignorant.
Are you on ps4? If so i can show you some of the confirmed best spots to stalk from while guarding basement

I had a decent SWF team almost demolish me as GF but the Basement saved my ass.
Not in the basement, outside the basement watching the entrance to, you avoid the aura perk (don't remember the name since I never run it) and have full control of anyone entering

Lmao he is already weak anyone above 15 should have the experience by now to counter him but that doesn't stop me from my long stalk build (which is actually free of all those inconsistencies)
-
I always play how I want as killer very rarely are they toxic builds though the only toxic builds I've used so far were on trapper and GF
The former being no escape trapper, (like impossible skill doc but my own flair thrown in) unnerving, distressing, ruin, and one random (sometimes huntresses but I don't like too many totems on this build) throw in the bloody coil and the other UR addon trap the exits and your totem(s) to start then have fun (also suggest game because TOXIC)
the latter being basement devil face with GFCOT+chewed pen; agitation, iron grasp, mad grit, free perk (find a nice lean spot to view basement and have fun
-
I'd have to say any of my mains; wraith, Freddy, or GF
Wraith: the OG stealth killer his power and addons honestly in my opinion makes him one of the most versatile killers from yoinking people off gens with the silent build or speeding across the map like an invisible billy, keeping people on their toes with the bone clapper, or my personal favourite the hunter jus add an all seeing to a windstorm and no survivor can escape your ever watchful eyes (also he is probably the only killer you can easily go surv watching without malicious intent with).
Freddy: I fell in love with him pre-rework in my opinion id love to see a killer bring those dynamics back, but he is now more versatile and admittedly has been given more gen pressure (though I kinda loved the original debuff adding in a class photo and paintbrush with M&A created an unstoppable monster to be reckoned with but that's long gone R.I.P all seeing ninja freddy)
Ghost face: fits my perfect idea of an assassin (lmao Michael is too noticeable and piggy can't stalk someone from half the map away to insta-down from close range) his ability to crouch and go mostly unnoticed before ruining the lives of those he touches (my two favorite builds are the basement devil-face and the distance stalker that avoids all chances of being broken, admittedly the former is reserved for SWFs)
