The myers we have in game (although was bought from the movie) was explained to have been real in the entity's world (as in the entity's original universe where it got all its original killers) since the entity still lacked the ability to visit other universes at the time (by the time L4D came into the fog the entity had gained the ability to visit any universe at any point in that universe's time line) so the only one of the two truly stolen from a movie universe was ash

Anyone with a 4th graders reading comprehension should be able to tell that they will work as normal since they do not show the killers aura which is specifically what undetectable protects against (that and removing TR and red stain)
-
Lol its a tough one, Id have to choose; freddy, wraith, ghost face, and purely cause how awesome it looks Demo.

How can you consider more efficient to play surv when you have bbq and chilli?
Well considering 3 points
1. Killer times will be long enough that you can play 2-3 games as surv.
2. With killer you have to have a very specific set of addons to even have a chance at making a substantial amount of points (which is offset by the cost of the addons)
3.it is not Impossible for a survivor to make a similar amount of BP as the killer
-
Honestly Id play surv after the drop since
1. It would be quicker getting into matches.
2. It is far more efficient to play surv for BP.
Only downside to it though is surv is pretty boring with the only thing to do is work a gen and gtfo cause all the tryhards are going to bring their 10mil second chance builds and try to run the killer for 5 gens

I would not like being in a match with you, I feel you would look for hatch and let me die on the hook.
Lol no that's only if I see the killer is camping you and even then I've been known to trade places on the hook
-
@screamdreamsx said:
The Shadow: this strange and mysterious being resembles a Claudette. It remains hidden for the majority of the match, leaving the safety of the shadows only to help those in dire need, before disappearing once more until the hatch spawns. Whilst on the hook, other survivors can see the aura of The Shadow lurking, yet never moving, in the furthest reaches of the map. If you catch a glimpse of The Shadow, be sure to eliminate it, or risk it never being seen again.
Call me the night then, an advanced form of shadow who discovered the many uses of spine chill and empathy that most seem to have missed popping up and disappearing faster than a quick hunt wraith, gens mysteriously being left at 99%? Chances are you've encountered a night

@NuclearBurrito said:
Also Meg is the only survivor who's techables are all great.
Claudette comes close but empathy is just alright but kinda eh.
Don't make fun of my empathy I like knowing survivors are in a chase halfway across the map so I don't have to keep one eye on spine chill lol

And killers can hit a surv in 10 secs. That’s not fast enough for you?
Only on first hit, the second is going to take at least a minute especially with survs bee lining to the closest pallets

while i agree, alot of killers are able to force 3 gens sometimes
Only way a killer can force a 3 gen is by protecting three gens only the entire game and let survs rush the other four, if they did not do this then you three gen yourself

Play Killer during Double BP-Events and you will see why it is necessary to increase the Survivor BPs.
I gave up on grinding Killers during Double BP-Events, I manage to get two games in one hour, with waiting times of 20-30 minutes. But if Survivors get the same amount of BP as Killers, it should be better. As Killer you can achieve 32k BP, as Survivor, most likely 29k. I managed to have 8k in Survival exactly once in 2100hrs of playing.
And last but not least, BBQ is way better to get BPs than WGLF.
So yeah, the gap should be closed.
Honestly I find it most efficient to farm bp as surv

I'll definitely be running second wind a lot. Pair it with deliverance and you can basically negate the killer's pressure when first hooked if you're able to save someone before you get hooked.
It doesnt work if already broken, the deliverance broken stops second wind from procing

Yes, the premonition to walk backwards through the map. I don't think it does much tbh I haven't felt overwhelmed by the spine chill squad. However, it really becomes a hard counter to some stealth killers.
Yet stealth killers can hard counter it aswell

Fixated is good for beginners, also an improvement in walking speed is nothing special
Its not hard to avoid the TR js, i can go almost entire matches where I'm in the tr once or twice

@Mochan Why do you think Fixated is broken? It only works on walking, not on running.
Honestly if i removed anything it would be empathy for fixated so i can laugh and watch my scratch marks disappear faster than a quick hunt wraith

Oldies but goldies. :) Some people might consider SB as "crutchy" as DH and BL, though.
Lol i only use it to get ≥20m away from the gen after spine chill procs even if the killer searches the area they're only wasting at least a minute of their time without finding anyone to smack or chase

Because a killer can still adequately tunnel and down a rescued survivor under the influence of BT. Babysitter will put a great big target on the rescuer, which is the whole intention, whilst if the killer still attempts to tunnel, if there are LoS blockers, there will be no blood or scratch marks to follow, which will be even stronger on someone rescued using iron will. The killer will simply have a tough time finding them again unless it was a hook right out in the open.
I agree if i see BT i laugh since they are back on the ground after 20m (even less if im wraith)

Out of curiousity, which build do you run?
Lightweight, SB, spinechill, empathy. I have no issue avoiding the killer until i want to be found and with how loops are it's almost no skill to lose them 5s later or keep them after me for the next 1m 30s
-
@Seanzu said:

They're "trash" because they don't change the meta like every killer is crying for.
Why run anything other than BT when 95% of killers come back to the hook.
Why run anything other than Dead Hard when killers are faster than you and the boost will get you to a loop.
Why run anything other than DS when 95% of killers come back to the hook
Why run anything other than Adrenaline when it's a heal + boost for killers that slug at end game.
Killers run the same combination of about 8 perks anyway.
1. As a surv. I've never touched any of those perks and i have a pretty good escape ratio.
2. What 8 killer perks are you referring to (i probably only use one of those given how required they are)
-
@NoShinyPony said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/646099#Comment_646099
So you use Q&Q, Babysitter, Inner Strength & Head on. Even if you can pull off this chain of events (it's a big if, not only because the killer hears the locker sound), it's still great from a killer's perspective because you won't be using DS, BT, DH/BL, Adrenaline, Unbreakable.
I don't use any of those crutches anyways lol doesn't take too much skill to run a build out of any of those just an account and a few hours on YT
-
@Mew said:
I mean, the only perks i think that seem decent are fixated, inner strength and second wind. None of the other perks will really shake the meta at all, since some of them are niche perks that are worse than other niche perks that relatively do the same thing, or just plain bad. For instance, why would you run Babysitter when you can just run borrowed time? Same with better together, just run Bond. Camaraderie will probably be bad for solo play, and maybe have some use in swf.
I dont think better together is ment to gather survs but assist those in solo to inform which gens to touch and which ones not to. on a gen? Yes. See the aura of another gen/survivor? Yes. Find another gen or work into a 3 Gen Strat. And babysitter helps lead killers into chases with strong loopers instead of tunneling the weaker player
-
@Seanzu said:
Imagine even getting looped for 5 gens with the current perks in the game anyway, lmao.
That's my point, everyone considers them trash because they don't fit with the meta of loop a killer for 5 gens then get the adren proc for win like how much of a braindead strategy do you have to run?
-
@dbd_noob said:
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I agree with you that the perks are pretty good. More memes than meta but still very good. The best one is inner strength imo. It encourages people to do totems (direct counter to noed, so the whining stops) and you heal ultra fast compared to other methods...
Honestly I'd add it to my build but there isn't anything i can take out lol
-

I am too, although i am slightly disappointed in how simple the power is...
-
@NoShinyPony said:
These new survivor perks are neither S nor A+, far from it. But the killer perks aren't either, so it's fair.
Right... Let's throw a hypothetical at you, you break a totem right after spawning right in front of it, Little while later killer hooks a surv you use baby sitter, run, you get smacked by the killer but Q&Q through a window and into a locker you heal in 8 seconds and the killer finally gets to your group of lockers you jump out and stun him by this point ~3 gens are done and the hooked surv is now healed but you are right none of these perks can replace the meta so they can't be A+ or S lmao

-
@Atrushan88 said:
@Glory this is what I keep saying but everyone's all like "No no they'll still use them! They're still decent perks!". The thing is, they're not. If they have a chance to NOT work and they're just aura reading, they're not good perks. They're bad perks. I'm sure they said the same thing about the Self-Care nerfs when those happened, and look now. They're complaining because Survivors don't heal and rely on Adrenaline. Survivors will just find a perk that will be of benefit to them every game and start running it, and Alert will die. It wasn't used much as is, but it's one of my favorite perks. It's also used mainly to hide from the killer. So you're killing survivor stealth in favor of killer stealth.
Survivors rarely played stealth anyways, maybe 1/10 games i get in has someone running a stealth build so how much will it honestly destroy, also i run stealth hand have never needed an aura perk to avoid the killer lmao

You're right about being able to get a charge before a chase/while healthy. Good point, I didn't think about that!
If you're talking about hiding in a locker mid-chase with Quick & Quiet, I guess that could work, but you need a full 8 seconds without the killer checking the locker. It's possible, but unreliable against competent killers imo.
Also, I'd like to add that I like this perk just because it will encourage Survivors to search for totems instead of doing gens for awhile. So, perhaps it's better than I thought. I'd still prefer Self-Care or a medkit, personally.
Also you can use head-on, heal up then stun lol

Interesting, I also think it was revealed that you can control the Demogorgons a little bit by simply feeding them, thinking about the russians in S3. If this is the case do you personally think that the Demogorgon might be the most obedient subject to the Entity?
I believe it would be especially if they have a hive mind link like the entity does with the auric cells, i mean at that point its just the entity controlling a meat puppet

Sense we will probably know all about the Stranger Things lore on Thursday I thought it would be good getting this out asap. So, how does the Demogorgon enter the Entitys realm, is it forced, invited, manipulated or, could it actually be a invader in this realm? Is it being controlled by the Entity or does it have almost completely free will like Michael? I have almost zero clue but I'm very interested to hear about your thoughts.
I believe that it was either traded for by the mindflayer and entity, or the entity was summoned (like with Quentin) and it took the three of them. Also i believe the entity used it's own hive mind ability to connect to the demogorgon (since it also has a hive mind and has shown to be able to be controlled by others)
-
@ASAPTurtle said:
Theres a lot of other killers and survivors in the entities realm serving out matches as we play the game we just aren't able to go up against them until The Entity feels like we should.
Also I think Nurse was the first ever killer to serve for The Entity.
Common misconception she is the one who (of the killers still around now) has been there longest but it was also confirmed that the first was emedietly thrown to the void
-
Why would they be yes they are similar but their realms serve completely different purposes also they are filled with drastically different creatures
-
@Lennshy said:
Have you considered the possibility of both realms being all the same? Those kids in Stranger Things might call it "Upside Down", it may have many names in different time periods/universes. We don't know how wide the realm of the Entity spreads, so it might be possible.
Actually i believe that to be impossible both serve different points the U/D seems more like a breeding ground to me and the realms are a feeding ground, the U/D are filled with the same type of creatures and the realms have creatures of varying looks and sizes.
I believe it was a trade, what the entity gave up IDK, However it is just as likely the survivors pulled a Quentin and summoned it.

No, there was nothing to suggest that. In fact, there were hints that it could actually visit and take anyone from any timeline.
Thanks read some more lore and found that part (also found a nice theory)
