  • After the hot fix my ghost became a gen grab ghost

  • Lmao vigo even built an entire lab by himself out of the fog

    I love the story😍

Hunter's Target is a great perk and if it does "Hunters target loses it's stacks after the chase is over." Then it's balanced to me. Chasing a survivor and purposely missing gives them gives them a false sense of security.

Hex: Tracker's Trap does sound weak, i read what comments others put and maybe it can effect alk totems until that hex is destroyed, or maybe if that hex is destroyed then that person is down revealing them and others around them in a certain radius. I do like the idea, it does need a buff.

Incomprable rage would be so good if combined with Spirit Fury and Enduring.

Overall, this is a good chapter. Edit or make more chapters😀

I'm currently working on a chapter about a crazed astronaut (set his ship with its crew on a course to a nearby solar body)

  • @ElusivePukka said:

Pretty sure the bodies are just auric clones of the originals, anyway; facsimiles of the beings taken, created to house the spirits/minds/souls of the survivors and killers.

It explains aura sight, bloodwebs, pretty much everything supernatural about survivors.

All the survivors are themselves not auric clones, it is even stated In lore

  • I used to but survivors ruined that

Nah its fine. XD I dont typically bring them since I enjoy playing the game. Moris are cool, but I dont really bother with them. Except Spirit I love her Mori.

Lmao for some reason there is an ebony on every other blood web for my wraith and ghost so i feel dirty if i just stock pile them and never use them

I bring moris for 3 reasons

1 It's a daily. why is it always Huntress though always Huntress D: makes me bring a super toxic build yes you all know the one. Luckily shes my secondary killer xD

2 most frequent Someone didn't ready up in the lobby while everyone else did quite fast. Wasting everyone's time for the full duration. I have never thrown a game to mori someone though oddly I usually find said person first on my immediate gen patrol.

3 I started a lobby and my gut Instinct says bring a Mori.

Sorry for the double quote but if i have it I bring it lmao

focus more on how you can play better than miserable people who take pleasure in taunting you. you'll become a better killer and the game will be much more enjoyable for you

just don't take it too seriously, it's a party game after all

Its a 4v1 survival horror game

If you close the hatch you can't open the gates. Killers can only open the gates if the gens are done.

Lmao well Ive never tried so I didnt know haha

  • But can we make it so they can do both as well? Cause sometimes i, as Killer, just want it over with ASAP, win or lose.

I thought you could (but honestly I've neve tried because i killed the other three the forth deserves this ebony as well)

I was looking at him, he was in the middle of my screen because that is where my survivor was. He was literally right across from me, not even diagonal. Also had this happen at a standoff at a pallet. He's on the other side, I'm facing him. He stalks and exposes me. I'm going to make a video and take pictures for future reference. But thanks for the tips. I've heard these before, but I still say his break out is inconsistent and does not work half the time.

That was your problem you were right up on him pallet distance away is near impossible try a bit further away (about back door to front door of killer shack distance away)

  • In the time it takes for him to get everyone who isn't me I've got most gens done and have the choice of rescuing last guy, hunting the hatch, or finding a gate

Okay, but your perk build doesn't change that you have to rely on your team and the killer playing nicely to have a good/"easy" experience and that was your initial argument that was kind of related to what I was talking about. I'm trying to explain how it can be difficult and you're telling me what build you use. xD My perks fit my playstyle and you shouldn't stick to a determined set since it can make you complacent and can make you bored.

If I get bored pick the killer up there is nothing more exhilarating than being chased with no second chances to save my hindquarters just need to be witty enough to break sight and hide before first hit ever lands you get one try to hit me then im a ghost. Also someone gets hit time to go rescue guy on hook, heal, back to gen.

I'm not running any exhaust or healing perks atm, but I started putting on DS again. I really don't mind dying. As long as I get enough points, I'm happy. I just don't like this sort of behavior. Bond still works better imo since you can see what healthy people are doing. For instance, you can see if someone else is heading for the save or if (like I said) someone is bringing the killer to you while healthy. You can find someone to heal you, too, if you'd like. I usually run Iron Will, though, in the cases no one wants to. Helps with sneaking away.

If the killer is coming my way spine-chill picks it up also works for countering nurses calling (since every killer wants to look directly at the auras) also I don't care what other survivors are doing 9/10 they will swarm the hook better for me to stay on my gen if the injured stops running ill run over give the butt rubs then back to a safe gen it is simple

  • I tried too many, even played perkless for a while. Recently I started with this and find it really good.

Looks good my personal build is Lightweight, Spine Chill, sprint burst, and empathy

Survivor can be hard or vexing because you're depending on a team and the killer not camping or tunneling. Survivor is team play (solo with strangers while lacking communication), while Killer is solo play. You don't have to hope the other survivors aren't picking their nose in the corner while you're being chased and don't have to worry about your them going down super quick or people farming each other. I've literally had games where I saved nearly everyone and died on first hook 'cause two people were on gens and one person was being chased. It has nothing to do with being the first one down and more to do with hoping the other survivors will be good enough to save you. It can be annoying to run into annoying survivors, but solos have to deal with annoying SWF who don't feel like saving the random (good or at all) AND killers who have it out for you 'cause you decided to play survivor. Bond is better btw. One-shots counter Empathy's sight and a lot of time people are running the killer for a bit before they get hit. If they accidentally sandbag you while you're on a gen, you're out positioned and the killer will often switch to you.

My perk build (Empathy, lightweight, sprintburst, and spinechill) the killer never sees me unless i want them to and i have the perfect capability to assist my teams or sit on a gen while everyone is running for pallet after pallet

  • Also might be worth making a physical overlay for the center of your screen if you need help learning this skill plus it is easier to break him from further away than right up on him due to detection (i once stood up on the other side of a barrier and stalked a dwight and he couldn't do anything)

  • So I have not found anyone talking about this on the forums and devs I wish you would speak more about this, but what in the HELL breaks ghostface out of his stalk?

Look at him with the inner 12% of your screen, it isn't hard at all the inconsistency is either latency, and or inexperience prerework freddy was the best teacher of this skill but we are Losing him.

  • I love how everyone talks about survivor being harder than a killer, it's not, at all. You need to know what you are doing, bring empathy you will have knowledge of the killer's location 9/10. Avoid being the first down and you're set entire game

  • @NathanExplosion said:

By the look of all the glorified toxicity down here i really hope most of you are millenials.

    (Not talking about "camping" btw)

No they're from the snowflake generation only putting others down because they are special and need it to keep that special trip XD also not flaming anyone just making s joke we all can hopefully laugh at

Have you even played solo survivor more than just a few times? You would not even be saying that.

I play solo surv to either cool down from sweaty SWF's or to warm up to killing it is not impossible choose a role and stick to it (im the never there Claudette if the killer is in my area im at least 20m from my gen or going to heal my teammate spine chill trumps most if not all killer perks best one being nurses, spine chill procs stop healing then resume when off, killer coming to you? Spine chill warns you before the killer even gets eyes on you, going entire games without being hit with this perk is 100% possible

  • @Jdsgames said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/548000#Comment_548000

So you were farmed and you believe the killer should be punished for a bad play on your team's part?

Edit: On Second Thought: Why were you so close to the hook at this point in the first place? You have the initial hit for you to start running off with weapon wipe. Them being chased and hit again. The animation of weapon wipe, pickup, walking back and hooking. Then they have to get close enough to you to start seeing the scratch marks again. To me it seems like you camp near where you got unhooked. Seems to me this can be solved with a perk that is fairly never used called Lightweight or the common Urban Evasion to get away quickly.

Lmao LW all the way, it s one of the perks Ill never remove from my build, (LW, Spine Chill, SB, and empathy) ive gone entire games on gens without being found once

  • Yea idk if dbd keeps track of recently met players for ps4 records so you're pretty much SOL unless you run into them again

  • Yea the devs have confirmed their intent to release sub-par killers labeled under the guise of "fun" knowing most people (unless they main that killer and use only the meta perks) wont make it into purple let alone red ranks which also takes away from that "fun" we mentioned before

  • @AetherBytes said:

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I think bill can be ignored for this, since his game, with his body shown, came way before DbD, and do remember that everything inside DbD somehow happens in it's own lore. Pig and Shape come from the same world, the same world as macmillian and Mrs "What are pallets?" To retain lore, either Bill has to be treated as an easter egg character, or we have to assume at some point in the entity's universe a zombie apocalypse happened.

Unless you take into consideration the entity has the ability to pull from any universe it sees fit to

  • @AetherBytes said:

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 the only problem I can see with this is that the entity allows it in some form. The entity lets us access the bloodweb (unless something else summons the bloodweb, but in that case what other entity's creation is it? That's another can of worms not suited here), which is how Quentin and other survivors are able to learn how to manipulate them, if only slightly.

In my opinion, Vigo was allowed to 'escape' the trials by the Entity, as an experiment of soughts. Perhaps the Entity grew curious about what an 'escaped' survivor would do, perhaps it doesn't know much about itself/auric cells and sensed his scientific prowess and tried to get it to research him, then use that info itself. As it is, the Entity could still be a baby of soughts, and hasn't reached full power. We can see it growing, daring itself and messing with it's trial experimentally; blocking gens, self-sacrificing survivors, and a few more tidbits. She's given killers more power in some cases, even denying the survivors the hatch.

Another good tidbit is that it's getting better at both sensing those who would accept being taken by the Entity willingly and how to manipulate those who wouldn't without torture. The "Time isn't consistent" argument doesn't work here, because it is consistent within it's realm, so we can judge by how the recent killers are accepting the Entity, at least begrudgingly, that it's getting more skilled.

All in all, it's very likely the entity is manipulating everyone, and in Vigo's case specifically to study, as an experiment.

And the only issue i see with the entity being a baby of sorts is the fact its impossible considering as i pointed out that auric cells are defined as the primordial building blocks of everything

    Wrong.

@Carlosylu I'd love to see my Wraith in 3rd person.

Shouldn't be too hard either, just copy the Survivor's perspective and paste it on the Killer's perspective.

Probably doesn't work that way though, but there shouldn't be much additional work.

Honestly Id love to mori someone differently it wraith, seriously three swings? That's all i get?

  • Honestly with a few detection perks pig becomes sub-par especially against swf which despite what the graph appears like (which the devs gave us) actually constitutes half of the survivors so just as many full solo matches there are there will be full matches and higher likely solo mixed, therefore, you're more than likely always going to run into an swf but hey listen to the mod it is a fun killer to play if actually killing people isn't your goal (which if I might remind you falls right on trolling under the guise of refusing to take part in proper gameplay or something or another)

I'm just saying to avoid buying something they would later most likely regret because any killer labeled "fun" has a strict perk load-out they have to run to even remotely have a game long enough to enjoy let alone have fun with and that load-out is very counter to fun.

  • None of them this game is in desperate need of a fixing before anything on it is worth any money

  • Eh as much as I hate It (and would love to be taken by the entity to be clauds hope) i can see her and jake

  • @DontNerf don't worry about it you saw nothing here unless you wanna add to the duscussion deal?

  • This is why there are language subforums kicked to the outermost darkes edges of the entities realm

  • Try stealth, my current build is spine chill, sprint burst, empathy and lightweight. This gives you optimal avoidance capabilities spine chill goes off sprint burst a short distance away lightweight removes the tracks, watch the killer then return when safe the killer will definitely hit someone soon just not you, empathy takes care of the "where the killer" guess work

  • Lmao Im ok with the first it is kinda toxic tho the more free hits i get the better. The second should be an obsession perk half the times for someone who isn't the obsession and you might have a good counter to a useless killer perk also determine a range instead of "if the killer is near"

  • Lmfao solo surviving is not hard at all and i don't run any second chance perks mine are all about avoiding the killer and saving teammates the killer camps you sucks for you & him both wont get many blood points. try spine chill for a change keeps you from making stupid hook rescues as well as helps you better avoid the killer it goes off get out period

  • @Ember_Hunter said:

Oh no, more fake friendly killer techniques :(

I thought a Trapper was friendly, just chasing me while I gave him pallets (stupid, I know) I was playing as No Mither David Gen Rush, and there was a Claudette with me. He hooked me, and I thought he was just doing it for points, but while Claudette was saving in front of trapper, he grabbed her and hooked her. I got saved, but I felt so betrayed, and got tunneled because of No Mither, and only one to die. I dislike betrayers :(

Lmao we are killers assume we all want you specifically dead those that don't try to kill you are either too weak for their rank or aren't killers just sheep in wolves clothing

  • "Here let put this piston in your back"

  • @George_Soros said:

May take too long. Also, them survivors is crafty: give it a few weeks and they'll figure it out.

I don't like tricks and deception. Better be honest and straightforward in our dealings. If you sell out that other guy hiding in a locker, I'll let you live.

    :)

Lmao i normally just ebony coxcomb, ghost bbq wraith until they all die

  • @Ember_Hunter said:

Wait, is it a former human? Since all killers have to be human at some point...

Incorrect all killers we see were originally human entity can take survivors and killers from any point in time and from any universe so there could be alien killers but we never saw them

  • If you can't find the last survivor and they don't want to be slugged they can reveal you. Had that happen to me today so thought I'd share.

Im sure others (like me) figured that out the day he was released

  • @Skittlesthehusky said:

it's not impossible! you just have to do your best as a killer. i'm currently in the green ranks, close to purple, and games aren't as difficult as they're claimed to be. i'm even getting red survivors and other swf groups.

    just keep trying! <3

Red survivors arent bad solo and i agree the games were a breeze a green but when you have red rank swfs at purple there is literally 0 chance

  • @Steve0333 said:

It's gotten easier to rank up as survivor. I'm a rank 7 survivor and I'm terrible so. I also noticed a lot of DBD streamers have been getting more potato survivor teammates lately even in red ranks. I'm rank 9 killer and I've been getting some red rank survivors and personally I haven't found it anymore challenging than usual.

Most streamers play on pc not ps4 where i play that means potentially different experiences,

@GhostlyFoxx That sounds incredibly unlucky😨, I guess it is lucky to have avoided them so long it's only this thread that made me realise it's been a while. I bet some killers will read this and think challenge accepted though 😂 I'll probably have some additions for this thread soon haha

Been bringing in ebonys each game cause how toxic survs being

  • It is in my experience, playing both survivor and killer, that the skill level required to functionally play one v the other is unbalanced.

I completely disagree, with survivor all I bring In are my perks, but as killer you more often than not (unless you are playing against potatoes) have to bring in some pretty nice addons

  • Lmao i feel bad none of my killers made it into this list... But then again its been about a month since my last killer

  • @George_Soros said:

That's the initiation period. If you get through this, you'll have a lot of fun with the game later. Just two things to keep in mind. One, don't expect to win very often if you are new. That's not reasonable. And two, learn to ignore offensive chat for now. You'll enjoy it later, when you start destroying trolls.

Seriously, that's the most fun in the game. You get better, keep notes of the most annoying survivors, and sooner or later you find yourself eviscerating a whole bunch of them. Then you can enjoy their undignified whining in chat about "camping", "tunneling" or some other nonsense.

Lmao I keep a similar list I call it the blacklist any toxic survivor goes on it and as killer Ill throw in a mori for the blacklisted player and if there are multiple here comes my top tier moris

  • @urilbedamned do you play on ps4? If so i could add you and do some catch and release help you with the learning experience
