  • Don't change it it is part of my basement devil-face build XD

  • If they did implement chucky they couldn't use the doll version, and cannon wise they couldn't use the man either (since he lost his actual body to the cops and is why he wanted to transfer into the kid). Beyond that the entity tends to take killers (and survs) along with their bodies so that's also a no go so looks like we might never get chucky unless the devs make it part of his lore that the entity either restored his body or that he found another body to inhabit so lets keep dreaming

From what I’ve seen, I doubt widening the detection area will fix the problem when the issue is that it doesn’t detect correctly. I don’t think it’s one in the same.

Lol here we go again with detecting correctly, it doesn't seem to be an issue on ps4 I detect him easily, actually beyond easily, it has never been a problem the closer you are the harder it is because any slight movement by ghost could move his detection out of sight but from mid to long range he has little defense other than stepping behind something and we all know how that tends to work i can't tell you how many times a surv detected me when i was behind a wall.

  • The tier list is there because survivors immediately run to the nearest loop to waste your time while everyone gen rushes you killers that can end those loops and get back to gens faster are inevitably higher tier and those that suck at one or both of those are low tier, there are some exceptions like Billy who has God speed crossing maps but tends to be bad at looping and bhvr wants only to release low tier killers because they don't care about high ranks they only want low ranks to have variety and "fun", this also forces high ranks to eventually get bored and move on to better games or create alts or derank just to get that variety back and to bully the lower ranks

But I have? I constantly get told to kill myself for bringing a toolbox, or ds, or unbreakable or bt, etc etc. Just because you have baby 400 hours doesn't mean people with 3-5k+ haven't, both sides are insanley toxic and you are by far probably the most toxic killer in existence for defending killers toxicity. Again, quit dehumanizing people to spread your toxicity.

Hmm maybe your platform is just toxic, or maybe they are survs playing killer cause I've never had that problem and I've been playing for about that long as well (also my surv main is claudette and meg so either I'm run and hide or you will spend a while trying to run me down.) but I'm on PS4 where nearly every survivor is so toxic killers have to camp and tunnel 💁💁💁

It's weird, I don't like playing Myers even though he's one of my fav horror icons but I do enjoy Ghostface even though he's not one of my tops. They're both stealth Killers but they perform the same thing differently. Myers has huge snowball potential while Ghostface can arguably pop off his power at any time but it's more focused.

I don't know but it's cool to see the fans like more of one than the other despite their similarities. I play very well as Ghostface but I see playing Myers as a chore.

@johnmwarner what @HatCreature said, i feel like ######### when i play Michael but with GF i feel like i get better plays, that and survivors tend to turn their brains off around me when i play any of my killers.

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I have pics on my PS4 when this stuff was still available. I was in front of a rock and I was completely invisible. I lost track of myself at one point. Also, you're correct. The upgrade to Unreal Engine did increase the colors and the physics. It's not something the Devs personally did, it's a product of the upgrade. Because of this, you got slightly better frame rate, nicer colors, better physics, enriched sounds and more. Personally, I play as Bill and Nea (Ninja clothes :D) but I use to main Claudette when I first started playing because of the almost invisibility that you got with her.

@AStupidMonkeyy I guess everyone has their strengths I'm good at finding hidden survivors while other killers are great a looping 💁💁💁 oh well

  • @Alphaphalt said:

I have to wonder if people opposing the hotfix have played survivor against Ghostface at all this patch. You can be looking directly at him and not break him out, the hotfix is fixing that.

@Alphaphalt I've played against him plenty of times im opposed to quite a few things in the hotfix, also I've never had a problem breaking him out, did so nearly 20 times in one game once, play freddy or huntress for a while (maybe even plague) then you will have 0 problem breaking him.

  • Had a survivor i could clearly see through some grass (he was trying to open the exit gates) but it wouldn't let me stalk him -_- that was on blackwater

  • @AStupidMonkeyy said:

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 They asked for the reason. I gave it to them. She's still pretty hard to see in certain maps and in the basement with certain clothes but this is why.

@AStupidMonkeyy I've never had a problem finding her, but then again i play as her because she is the survivor version of my killers, and in reality i believe the brighter clothes came with a engine upgrade and optimization but i could be wrong

A good time stalking and murdering good people by impaling them on hooks to die slowly and painfully. Ironic part aside, the killer is the adversarial role, because making an AI would be too complicated and not have a fraction of the unpredictability a human player has, thus we have killers. You're the bad guy trying to eliminate the other players thus ending their 'fun'. Don't expect much love for it.

A majority of killers don't care about survivors fun either, so it goes both ways. Why it is good for people to not just main one side or the other. Play the other side and only the other side for a good month, or at least a couple weeks and see how the other half lives.

Id watch out tellin people not to play part of the game is a bannable offense according to the mods

  • For a second i thought this might have been a lore post XD i was ready to say it was survivor killin themselves to get back to the campfire (i can see why so many survivors DC now and it makes sense lore wise)

I'm holding back what is and isnt a bug because the devs done strewed the pooch with this update.

I know he then has to chase me, but I think he is good at any loop with a high wall. He can also 99 you and come back later in stealth mode and finish you with a GGEZ and a teabag.

Idk he is also god tier with big building basement plays even more so than LF

@fluffymareep Actually, I'm on PS4. I reported the player in-game, then I submitted a report using the official webpage, which opens a ticket while they investigate the claims. They responded and requested a link to the video showing the incident. It all happens within the open ticket.

I have no idea who to @ for an official response to the hostage question.

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I normally like Mother's Dwelling, but I'm not sure it's a good map for Ghost Face. I don't know, I haven't done enough serious matches as him to form a good opinion. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed as Ghost Face in that match on Red Forest, but I also didn't have much for perks on him, yet. No Whispers. I don't run Ruin, anyway, so I definitely didn't have that. After a suicide and a sacrifice, the remaining two survivors weren't working on gens, so using a high vantage point to patrol gens didn't help.

The high vantage point provides more than just gen pressure you can see a vast majority of the map from any one spot on that house

  • @ghostkiller666 the point is that once both sides fully combine the dull totem would look broke to one surv but not another of it didn't break on both sides and no it wouldn't be two hosts it would be after dedicated servers, therefore, neither killer would be the host

Auric cells make up its matter, just as animal cells make up ours and plant cells make up - well, plants.

Some current theorists are saying it's a fungus with insect traits, and that's been the most convincing breakdown of the evidence to me.

@ElusivePukka yet it uses the auric cells that make up its "body" to also make all the trials, I've never known of anything (real or mythical) that could break its self apart and form such a massive expanse of trials, that's why I believe it is a highly specialized Auric cell (queen if you would) that has a "hive-mind" control over the other basic auric cells that is why survivors can manipulate them so easily, and what we think is actually its body is just a big image of an auric cell (just minus the cell wall) because that form is most familiar to it and allows it to directly interact with the trial.

  • @SunderMun it sure seems center to me, same exact spot i hit survs with my freddy power but i guess i just dont know anything. 💁💁💁

    1. makes no sense for him to remain stealthed after a stun
    2. they already stated that stalking an already marked survivor was never intended
    3. do you guys even play survivor? Have you ever seen a high level streamer playing against him? Revealing him is jank af. It's SUPER bugged. Like bugged beyond belief. It NEEDS adjusting.

I was skeptical at first about the changes, but honestly, they're barely gonna touch his viability. You guys should wait to see how things play out before you #########. But it's too much to ask from these forums, I know.

Lol that streamer must be [bad word] at finding the center of his screen because I've never once had problems breaking ghost out of stealth, as for stalking the marked surv, im fine with it not extending the exposed status but I'll be [bad word] if they remove my ability to track that surv with my stalk, Michael can do it so should ghost, as for pallet stuns knocking me out of stealth fine ill deal with that just don't take away his one good tracking tool

Because it was ruining the game for killers. o: Exhaustion perks were changed to give killers a better time. Pallets have been changed and lessened to give killers a better time. EGC was introduced for killers.

But somehow the devs don't care? I know it's a meme to hate on them, but I think some people are too hard or simplify the situation too much. I'll say it's fair to say some survivors don't care about the killers fun, but if it makes killers feel any better, they also don't care about their "randoms" fun. I don't think it's productive to just complain all the time without acknowledging the good, too.

All the changes you mentioned were made because why? Right survivors were abusing something

@AetherBytes It's not going to be the same across every match. In the match I had the other day, there was no hatch. I was playing Ghost Face, who's not able to really apply map pressure on a big map like Red Forest, and the last two survivors hid together in the corner of a map rather than touch a gen because they wanted me to DC. They were doing nothing to further the game. In your case, you were searching for the hatch and a key, so you were attempting to further the game. Different circumstances.

OP doesn't mention whether or not the hatch had spawned yet in his match, so I can't comment on that.

Lol but I think the red forest is one of his best realms, you get a large building center stage that can be used as a vantage point to patrol multiple gens with minimal movement, high chances of getting the basement in that same building if you get eng with 3-4 gens right outside and the one on the inside with the basement you are set for life just hope your ruin spawns in there LMAO

  • No because toxic SWF was abusing it with the combination of 2 other second chance perks and an exhaustion perk

I think one of the devs stated that Benedict may have been able to escape the Entity's Realm and then he came back in 1896. (Weird time and space stuff)

Considering the entities realm is made of auric cells which have been proven to be easily controlled by survs (sometimes even unknowingly) in the cases of Vigo who created his own little realm which contained his lab, and Quentin who unknowingly manipulates them to ensure a medkit. With the manipulation of auric cells in mind one could theoretically remove all in the area and escape the trials to the real world or immediately get thrown in the void

  • @t3hp0larbear said:

Ever since I learned Bill was in the game, I've pondered how that worked, and what I imagine is that in the case of a person who was in their final moments when the Entity took them, the Entity took their consciousness/soul as it left the body. If I recall right, in Left 4 Dead canon, Bill was basically pulverized by three Tank-type special infected, and you can find his body during "The Passing" in L4D2, in the room immediately to the right of the elevator you descend which kicks off the finale sequence of the campaign - seated slumped in front of a machine with a massive pool of blood around his body.

And for Bill, Tapp, and Amanda, the lore that explains their origins in the Entity's realm says they were already terminal by the time they were taken, so as not to interfere with or contradict the source canon.

So in the case of these three, I see an actual escape going one of two ways:

    1. They are cast into limbo as their consciousness has no logical place to go.
    2. They awaken in an alternate version of their reality where they haven't experienced the circumstances leading up to their death, and are forced to either relive it, or correct their mistakes.

In a more humorous light, wherein there's no segregation of gameplay and story, if Bill escaped, he'd just appear in a closet I guess. Probably after Ellis, Nick, Rochelle, and Coach leave the bridge. :P

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F6FtU72pOw

According to lore everyone that was taken their bodies were never found, since bills body was found then he had to escape, as for if you are returned to your time or not is a luck of the draw type of thing (since time doesn't flow normally in the entities realm when viewed by ours) since the entity's realm connects to ours in random points you could come through in 1800s or in year 1 maybe even in 3024 just depends on the connecting point you escape through

Not exactly true. Should my fun be ruined just because a killer was either not good enough or are upset that they maybe failed to kill the survivor they were tunnelling or camping. Some killers will tunnel and camp you if you played well against them and will continue to do this in any other game you play against them.

I also don't find it fun when a killer spam moris me or forces me to bleed out on the ground just to be toxic. I don't find it fun if I'm trapped in a corner and forced to be killed by a RBT or die to EGC. I don't find it fun when a killer dc in a way that I lose all my points or lag switch to down me.

The point I'm making is don't just assume survivors are the only people who take the fun out of the game. It works both ways.

Someone put it best, most killers show clear signs of "kicked puppy" disease, but if killers are the ones doing and starting all this toxic behavior then why are they showing signs of a disorder only found in animals that have no control over their fate? But hey to each their own opinion

  • Hook in basement get a vantage point of stairs and let the survs come to you.

  • @Frayjais said:

My problem with ghostface is that his power is an awful design choice. Either its WAY too easy for survivors to counter, which feels awful to play as. Or its way too inconsistent to counter, making it awful to play against. The punishment is too big for something that can be activated so frequently. Like myers tier 3 works because it actually takes awhile to charge up. Ghost face doesn't need a nerf, he already needs a rework.

No what he needs is players to main him and become nurse level (btw i prefer the far stalk strategy to get to 99% then pop right in their face, no counter yet other than gen rushing into my protected gens)

I haven't played him. Can someone tell me their experience concerning this part of his ability?

It is a great boon being able to keep track of a marked survivor as they start to believe they are safe stalking does this perfectly but they want to remove the ability to stalk that survivor because as it is it keeps the survivor exposed, im ok with them removing the ability to keep survs exposed but don't take away my ability to track them with my stalk

  • @jeyers said:

ghost face is a broken killer that 100% deserves to be nerfed into the ground, broken and overpowered he even rival nurse.

Ghost is another skill base killer, if the player is that good in him they deserve to be "nurse good"

  • He's broken still whenever you stare right at him to reveal him sometimes it still exposes you when it should've revealed him and his lunge is worse that Freddy's that needs fixed and also his running speed is faster than legions fury speed.

Bait anyone? He definitely doesn't run faster than FF his lung is eh, and if you know how to look at him you can reveal him or watch him without giving away your position, only those that haven't put forth sufficient time to learn him have these complaints so either

    1. You're trolling the forums in which case shame on you this is a place for actual discussion not for survivor mains to continue their toxic abuse of killers.

    2. You actually have these complaints which shows me you haven't played GF or any killer that requires you to know where the center of your screen is, my suggestion is pick Freddy up pre-rework and try to pull people into your dream by tapping your power practice enough.

From a survivor standpoint, I agree with breaking him out. Also a console user. Wondering if maybe latency is making that bug worse for us? Like I'm breaking him and he ducks behind a wall but I still get it on him even when he isn't in the sweet spot (and I had a huge delay there)? And I mean that's pretty ######### and feels dirty. I've also had the standing out in the open and looking at him but he doesn't break thing and been insta-downed. Like he would be so much fun to play against if he just worked right on both sides. Aiming is easy, it's just that it doesn't register right consistently.

I'm not sure how I feel about the hotfix, but it has been giving me legion ptsd. I think the numbers should always be re-evaluated after seeing how it plays out in practice. The FOV thing isn't necessary if they fixed the consistency issue. I forget the other details.

You also lose the ability to stalk your marked survivor

This would be my dream build

Yes because Freddy is being buffed.

Ghostfaces nerf is not even close to being enough to make him drop from high tier to bottom tier

You're right, but hed have to be high tier to begin with, the only reason he is up there rn is because survivors refuse to learn exactly how to counter him

  • @ClogWench said:

Again, they're not nerfing him due to him being too strong, just that he's inconsistent. If this is a game changer for you then it doesn't sound like you have much credibility as a killer anyway. These really are minor things that overall aren't going to impact GF much at all. Also acting like a nerf to a killer or a perk is a victory over the other side is a garbage outlook to have. Nerfs and buffs are applied to try to increase the overall health of the game. No it's not flawless and no it's not perfectly balanced but acting like it's an us vs them situation really only hurts the cause.

Yet the game still feels like a glorified game of tag, and i have plenty credibility as killer, i 4k often enough and even have games where people run over me, there is little fear in the game and GF comes in set to change that and everyone complains, you can read any post on the forums everyone who have learned how to counter him are all saying he is mid to low tier and that these changes are not needed

  • @nan1234 said:

I’d put him above trapper, current Freddy and LF. Poor legion...

It's ok he won't be forth from last for long, poor GF

  • @ClogWench said:

The change is miniscule and only really affects him when he's trying to stalk while chasing behind someone. It adds consistency to how his power works and helps controller users to better handle him. The community doesn't agree, a small, loud portion who thinks every minor tweak is world ending agrees.

Minor changes? Such as not being able to stalk the marked person? I agree you shouldn't be able to keep them in exposed forever but i absolutely refuse the idea that i can't use my stalk to keep eyes on my target, Michael can do it GF should he able to do it. And as for being chased I've never had a problem breaking him out, it's weak survs who don't know how to move their cam that can't knock him out and that should be punished with a down period but BHVR has a tendency to coddle survs the greatest and really only latest victory for killers was getting MoM changed while survs get killers nerfed left and right because they refuse to learn how to play against the killer. Get better then come back in a month when you can sufficiently face GF instead of nerfing him out of the starting gate

  • I agree, i saw something on the hot fixes that said they were going to make it to where you can't stalk a marked survivor, sure i get its possible to keep rank 20s exposed using that but anyone and their grandmother can avoid GF long enough to get exposed off, let us stalk but not refill the exposed status (admittedly I've kept toxic survs exposed but never had use of it on any non-toxic survs)

Rule of thumb: anyone below rank 13 on ps4 has problems breaking him out, mostly because they don't know how look at him right anyone above that should know how to handle him except for a few potatoes, that's why you see him so much and he is getting so many kills, i play ps4 as and against GF he is not difficult at all to break (once broke him about 20 times in a match)
