Lmao only killers i dont have are pig and clown they just seem too uninteresting to me ghost face is really fun to play but you'd wanna keep two builds ready or him one that highly toxic for swfs (because they will just be toxic and try to bully you) and one for fun i used to main hag myself then i moved to old freddy then kept him and added wraith to my mains then when GF dropped into my main list he went

Franklin's or Devour Hope. Franklin's because it drops my items (clearly) and with bad ping it's even worst, and Devour Hope because for me the killer builds it up incredibly quick because the survivors farm off hook.
But the killer has to be at least 24m from the hook

I see several killers do well without ruin, so don't even say ruin is a necessary perk at red ranks. I've seen several people do well without it.
Who were they playing?

Saving your exhaustion for your Sprint Burst is a strat just as dirty as Camping and tunnelling. But it's still a strat and is used as a design purpose.
Don't call me a completely dirty gamer XD

@Chaddad2169 I don't normally ship Quentin and David. That game just gave me the feels for the two characters. My ship for David is 100% Jake, mainly because their stories are similar, but they took similar paths and are complete opposites because of it. And I think Jake compliments David really well.
And I agree, I definitely think survivors would form relationships.
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I suppose, but I don't feel like that would prevent them from forming relationships. Feelings especially are rather complex and happen whether you intend for them to or not.
Idk i guess im a step above most survivors and can compartmentalize feelings of "love" and focus on helping without getting attached

Oh mine wasn't the only thread talking about this, was not aware, this thread has a lot of constructive criticism though.......weird.
Well since everyone is actually using their brain here I'll chime in.
An add-on making him completely invisible would be interesting, it can be another ''Ghost'' add-on since Ghost only has 1 while the other variants have several. Doing it this way means he has the invisibility but it doesn't actually change him in anyway. This could be the equivalent of Spirit's Prayer Beads, maybe another Purple?
Ghost: mud- survivors beyond 28m perceive you as completely invisible whilst cloaked.
Gain 50% more blood points in the hunter category
Ghost: white- survivors beyond 20m perceive you as completely invisible whilst you are cloaked
Gain 75% more blood points in the hunter category
Ghost: blood- survivors beyond 12m perceive you as completely invisible whilst you are cloaked
Gain 100% more blood points in the hunter category
Also for those concerned with the blood point boosts most of your hunter score events occur during chases, therefore, you'd have to de-cloak inorder to get as many blood points off it as possible it makes you choose between being completely invisible or grinding or the perfect balance between

I tend to hate my own builds.
Light Weight, Sprint Burst, Spine Chill, and empathy. Unless you mind game your way to a gen you will almost never find that survivor.
As killer it changes from time to time but my wraith build tends to be BBQ, Shadow Born, IAE(had thanat), bloodhound. There is no way you can vault and mind game me at the same times stick to loops but even then they barely help you

Well she can come into our world, that's how she took Kate. But I don't think many know about her since she only reveals herself to Killers and Survivors.
Actually i believe it leaves clues to its existence scattered throughout the universes it does visit we can see this with ghost face since he knew the moment he was took where he was and was happy about it this would serve (beyond already establishing a connection to the killers) to teach survivors how to last as long as possible against dying over and over
-
No it wouldn't, youre right, not until you are unable to protect them back then that's when the hopelessness sets in

Red Forest is terrible for any killer with no map control the map is SUPER large.
Ormond I don’t like but it’s better than a lot of maps. My frames drop a lot on that map.
Hmm wonder why i never have a problem on it but then again i can protect 5 gens at once just from either house

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 In game this is displayed as well though, through altruism. I've jumped in front of killers when they were chasing an injured survivor to get them off of them. I've also had survivors do this for me. I feel like it would strengthen their resolve to get out rather than make them feel hopeless. Of course that would depend on the person.
In the end that only furthers my point, they don't want to see their friends die so they would rather increase their chances of death just to lower their friends since their own death would be more bearable

They are designed similar to Ghostface. The hoods, white masks, multiple killers similar to the movies, the hunting knife, etc...It’s pretty similar to me. It’s just like Hillbilly vs Leatherface.
I wish they would’ve done a desert theme map instead of the Red Forest biome for Plague. It should’ve been a brand new map with the huge temple and pyramid style buildings around the map. Plague herself is probably the best work they’ve done design wise for a killer. They just didn’t nail the map.
Aesthetic wise they nailed Spirit and Legion’s map. It’s just awful to play on as a killer. I probably prefer Yamaoka over Ormond though.
Lmao depends on the killer for me if I'm playing GF id definitely prefer a vantage point that Ormond provides in spades but it pales in comparison to any red forest map

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I would think a relationship would keep them hopeful though, wouldn't it? The entity feeds on hope, and if you're in a relationship you'll likely work even harder to keep yourself and your significant other alive.
Yes but if your SO goes you are more likely to go as well and beyond that it oil be more disheartening to see another killed than to be killed yourself

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I haven't seen anything of anyone dying completely in the lore, but I've only read the level up things mostly. I've heard here and there things about Benedict and Vigo, but have no idea where they came from because I haven't found them.
Search for the DBD Wiki once a survivor becomes useless to the entity they are thrown in the void (killers are also not exempt from this as well) where they become hopeless husks basically ceasing to exist.

@sirnewbington said:
Theres part of the lore about the red stain being evidence of the entity having some control over the killers. But ghostface'a ability removes his red stain.. maybe ghostface is like the deadpool of the dbd universe. Hes self aware of where he is and manipulates that to have an actual camera, not by entity design. Perhaps he even can contact the outside world?
I always figure he knew where he was because as soon as he was taken and heard the scream he smiled, but his lore shows hed only be happy bringing his stories to life for everyone to see, that's why i believe DBD is a thing in his universe, it might not be a game (since he is supposed to be from the 90's and i dont really see how DBd would work as a game in that time) it could be a show or light novel in his world but he already had knowledge of it and where he was and that others would see what he did and would do

Hi
sorry about this. A lot on these forums are more focused on ridicule than providing helpful advice.
When against LF once you hear that heartbeat book it or hide, never take unnecessary risks such as staying on gens till the last moment, and keep as close to obstacles as possible.
I actually had a match with a LF where there were two gens left and i hid in the same spot every time against a bush that had a small inlet about 4m from the gen id work on between that point and the gen there was a fire barrel hed come around kick the gen run behind it the opposite direction from me to another gen then come back looking at me but the fire barrel blinded him to the point he couldn't see me, i eventually moved to another gen before getting downed and killed, turns out the Adam who was the only other survivor alive was camping the hatch instead of helping me increase the chances of both of us escaping.

@Atrushan88 said:
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 Well I mean even if they die they're still back at the campfire.
Not always if we are speaking lore wise then any survivors trial can be their last
-
@Atrushan88 said:
After the game I just had, I feel the need to ship Quentin and David, despite knowing it would likely never happen.
Here David and Quentin are, in a trial with Laurie and Claudette. Claudette is failing miserably at everything, getting hooked several times, as is Laurie. Claudette kills herself(DC), and Laurie dies on the hook. All that was left were David and Quentin, with 3 generators left, trying their best to survive with an unspoken bond. David is running from the Doctor, while Quentin is repairing a generator as fast as he possibly can, David gets hooked for the first time.
Quentin sneaks up and saves David, healing him as the Doctor is coming to him with his medkit, he finishes the heal and they both run off in separate directions, the doctor is now on Quentin, he stalls for as long as possible for David to try to get a generator, it isn't enough, but David saves him, returns the heal and the doctor doesn't find them, David and Quentin make a long and quiet journey hiding from the doctor, looking for a generator to repair. Quentin, trying to save his sprint burst for necessity, is spotted and both unfortunately are found.
Quentin evades the Doctor's shock therapy behind a T wall, losing him, and he goes after David while Quentin works on a generator. Another generator is finished and David goes down. Quentin rushes for the save, heals him again and gets caught out, he stalls as long as possible with one gen left, but is eventually downed. The Doctor leaves him to find David, and he falls down a hole(Temple of Purgitation) to hide from the Doctor and await David's heal.
David comes and heals him, and they manage to evade the Doctor, and start to work on the generator. It's halfway done, they're almost there, but the Doctor finds them. David gets hit, and tries to evade him. He sees Quentin, and hits him as David rushes to try to protect him, but Quentin doesn't want to see David go down, and rushes in front of David to take the hit. He begins running the Doctor around, is downed again, and tries to pull the same maneuver. The Doctor however finds David and downs him as well, and it fails. The Doctor finds Quentin and hooks him, killing him. David however had Unbreakable, getting back up as Quentin was killed.
The Doctor closes the hatch, and the two doors are not terribly far apart. David manages to open the exit gate after hiding from the Doctor, and leaves with a heavy heart.
Honestly it makes a good story. I was the Quentin xD. Me and the David were literally trying to keep each other alive as long as possible, even at the risk of our own lives. I almost 2 pipped.
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 As for survivors not having relationships, I honestly doubt that relationships wouldn't happen at all. Emotions run high in dire situations. You look across from the person you're trying to save and who's trying to save you, even if it's for your own self preservation you come to know each other and become attached.
I'm not saying it won't but any smart survivor would avoid a relationship beyond the casual behind the killer shack butt rubs (if you catch the drift) it makes no sense to fall emotionally for someone who could cease to exist at the end of the next trial

My boi Quentin could perhaps be the survivor with the biggest connection to the Entity?
Interesting
Never said he had the biggest connection (in actuality when he manipulates auric cells he isn't even aware of it), that title would have to go to Vigo or Benedict. But out of the playable survivors, you might be right... I mean him and Lauri both ended up in the trials because they summoned the entity right? (Haven't really looked into their backstories much but remember someone mentioning they did.) But out of all the lore Vigo has to have the closest physical connection as he created his own little pocket realm out of auric cells, benedict has to be the closest mentally as he has devoted his life to studying it whether he was aware of it or not.
-
Have you ever played killer and had a Jane drop down behind you? I did once on lery's and i nearly lost control XD
-
Wait dying is a survivor loss? I normally think anything from 15k bp up is a win (not using anything to boost points) whether i die or not it hasn't affected my will to face another trial and another hook just let me get my minimum at least and maybe help a few others escape
-
The true form of the entity
-
Lets all admit it to our selves relationships don't happen in the realms too much of a chance your gf or bf might turn into a husk for that and when that happens youd probably become a husk too, honestly i feel like the campfire sees more black out parties at a frat house than black tie affair events

@MegaWaffle said:
The animation story may not be cannon but the voices sure as hell are.

-
The entity is quite simply a hive of auric cells that has yet to delineate into what we see today being controlled via a hive mind of sorts by a "queen" Auric cell if you would (which is in its basic sense the true body of the entity). This "queen" causes these cells to form the body we see (which in all reality looks like a massive auric cell without its cell wall) as well as the trials and the items found within. Because the Entity lacks full control over these cells they can be controlled by outside forces (vigo and Quentin being the two most famous examples). So as for the answer of the question of whether the entity is she or it cells lack basic gender therefore it is "it" but due to the fact it is associated with feminine nouns such as queen it would be not uncommon to see it referred to as a she

I completely agree with you. This is absurd. Bad players not wanting rank rewards because they can't get to high ranks XDDDD
Lmao its hard when all you have to practice with a your highest rank are players about 5-6 ranks above you and only swf may be easier for you because you had that chance the whole time to learn against people your skill level but when you can only get people who permanent red rank swfs when you haven't even had the chance to face a purple rank swf but hey run everyone off from the game and make it an elitist ######### pool see how long it lasts after that lmao
-
Also that would be hard for me too since as soon as i pass rank 10 every time i get paired with mostly red ranks (half the time rank 2 swfs) so tell me how my luck with match making is fair that I'm going to be constantly deranked back to green no matter what i do and only ever make 1.1X bp?

How the game mode works is other than the ranked mode you have a separate mode called collision,
Collision would implement something many survivors and killers have wanted for a while a killer team up with more survivors.
*collision occurs with two exactly identical maps but separated by the entity except for a few spots where killers and survivors can see everyone within range (maybe killers can always see each other)
*generators are always a collision spot for a few meters surrounding
*Every so often (based on match progression gen completion or time in match) new collision spots open and or grow until both maps are fully collided for an all out hunt for the last survivors.
*survivors within collision spots can assist survivors from the other trial as long as both are within the collision zone.
Any ideas to improve and get this idea to the devs would be appreciated.
This is a link to my idea of a 2v8 game mode that in my opinion touches most everyone's concerns with the idea of a 2v8 @Chaotic_Riddle you should take a look

Personally I'd slap bond in Empathy's slot since it's an immersion build. On a none heal build, I feel like I'd waste too much time getting to anyone outside of Bond's reach. I love that you didn't go with the basic ######### Urban, Quick and Quite, Self Care, Claudette
Oh im a claudette also empathy is double fold it shows who is in a chase and that the chase is far enough away for me to relax also he altruism points are nice
-
Had a survivor not ready up so i camped him all game (honestly wanted a de-pip anyways since all i seem to get is rank 2 navy seal death squad swfs also note i haven't been above rank 8 in almost a year because of it highest rank I've ever been was 5) he escaped unfortunately and proceeded to message me "oooohhhhh!" Borrowed time won't counter a face camping killer with insidious. One reason leatherface with insidious is so annoying because there is no way to save the survivor. You just have to let them die.

It happened so fast. The gates opened, the other person left (one was sacrificed earlier), then the last guy was hooked and I was running to gate to get out and all of that happened.
The person who opened the gate [bad word] you over, if you are expecting BW, and of course if it's freddy and you can't call all his perks, make that all killers, and they aren't picking someone up before gate open but gens done expect bloodwarden. But as i was saying if you expect it 99 the gate force him to either camp the slug or let everyone go also imo, blood warden works best against ultra altruistic swf and after halfway point in endgame
-
Do gens and de-rank the camper simple strategy. also the better you run the more likely 3 gens will get done before he hooks you, also immersed players are campers enemies.
-
What is the hate with the wraith, he is quite honestly one of the few killers you are guaranteed a first hit with, after that its back cloaked for the guaranteed second hit, spine chill is easily countered with him too just need to know how to approach gens. Beyond that his invisibility also helps with mind games against other locator perks such as alert (similar counter as bbq) kick something go one direction then go to the gen you know someone is on (granted this also requires a locator perk such as surveillance, bbq, discordance etc) also its fun to take beast and windstorm together because survivors wont know what to do with themselves

You get more points being on gens together and there's even perks for it. It happens more often than you think. It's good information.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/610945#Comment_610945
I agree with this. I've seen someone suggesting (I forget who) that we increase gen times, but also increase hook times to make camping less rewarding than just going around, normally. It needs to affect all ranks, though.
However wasn't it proven more efficient to work separately (i guess i just get the rushers and not the grinders)
-
@premiumRICE said:
things immersed players do:
crawl around pointlessly(btw you can do the same thing without UE)
crouching whole game, hiding from killer
not doing gens because its scary to stay on the gen if the killer is not on the complete opposite side of the map
trying to farm people from the hook and getting caught doing so.
Btw, memes aside, playing immersed doesnt make you improve and doing so w/o premade its 100% unefficient.
Lmao those are potatoes what version is is avoiding.
killer coming to me? Sprint burst away with lightweight
Killer chasing someone or isn't near me time for gen, leave the loops to the grunts they know to use them better after 5k hours of straight toxicity.
Can see killer chasing someone else with empathy and there another injured sure? Time for butt rubs
It's not inefficient people just have a me-first ideal and will hang around for a hatch escape instead of their objective, so no don't confuse intentional potato-ism for the inefficiency of a play style
-
@Acromio said:
@op Nothing. You can't force people not to play like potatoes.
The reason why playing solo is hell is that most survivors play by pressing the keys on their keyboards/the buttons on their controllers using their pupils.
These were all rank 1 matches.
Yet i have a hard time getting past 8 -_-
