But youre supposed to pop t3 when youre already right behind a survivor, not before chasing them for another 20s. And you should pop t3 when youre near a group of survs and go for slugs, rather than waste that precious time hooking. This way you can already get 2 or even 3 downs, which can massively impact the game. It's meant to be used smartly, and then it will be pretty effective.
I'm guessing you don't realize grouping up as survivor is already a bad idea, especially against a myers. If they are any good they would split up for most of the match except for healing, which at most gets me 2 people on average. If I slugged them both and went to go look for more survivors that runs the risk of unbreakable and them being picked up before I could come back. Can tier 3 be used strategically? Sure it can. Doesn't mean it doesn't need some sort of buff

60 seconds is a pretty long time in the grand scheme of most matches, and if youre chasing for that long then youre doing something wrong. Plus the faster break speed you proposed already helps.
The point of the longer duration is supposed to make him stronger in chase at his highest point. My point is if you chase for let's say 20 seconds down and hook them you already lost 66% of your tier 3 and by the time you find another it could end mid chase. Plus 15 seconds isn't long at all
-
@rororoxor said:
I agree with most of these, except for the extended duration of t3, it's already pretty long. Myers is a really weak killer with one of the worst early games, he really needs buffing
60 seconds isn't long considering how long chases can be (30 to 40 seconds)

Good point lol I saw someone else say add a timer to opening the hatch with a key. That could be good plus perhaps new killer perks at the same time which extend the hatch opening time and/or give the killer notification that someone is opening the hatch.
Yeah that would've helped. I would've immediately went back to the slug and hooked them giving me a 3k and ruthless instead of a 2k and brutal

There are three levels of Mori... no reason not to have a key type that only lets one person out... and one that would allow 2. But all in all, I don't really have a problem with either the Keys or Mori as they are now. I'd rather there be NO CHANGE to either than some idiotic Nerf to either of them which makes the irrelevant.
I still disagree since I get skeleton keys like its candy on Halloween(if you know you know). But I'm getting ivories more than ebonies at this point.

I agree, it keeps the games interesting. I have no problem with the hatch opening to allow the last survivor to escape. I'm not sure how i would change either mechanic that would keep it balanced. Maybe the key will only allow the key holder to escape. And Moris allow you to kill after you hit stage 2 on the hook instead of the first hook. Just throwing out thoughts
Well for your key nerf if there's 2 people left and they both at the hatch then it let's them both go. Since one goes through with they key. And the other makes it through because they are the last survivor

Keys and moris should be removed from the game or get an huge nerf, both are frustrating for the opposing side and can make you depip even if you've playd good.
I wouldn't care if they were removed. I rarely use either since I hate them on both sides

Hatch keeps games interesting imo, if every game could be a slaughter with a 0% chance to win, it wouldn't be as fun
with hatch, it at least keeps both sides trying to win
What do you mean? They did have a chance. They were at 1 gen with 2 people left. And the gens were spread out. If they actually managed to loop a myers long enough to get the gen done and the gate opened I wouldn't have cared. Plus hatch is ok I really do not care about it. My issue is with the key. Not hatch
-
@The_C12H15NO2 said:
I had a similar experience yesterday. 1 gen to go and the survivors had 3-gen'd themselves pretty badly. I had already killed one survivor. 2 of the 3 remaining were on their last hook. I couldn't figure out why none of them were trying to work a gen for like 2 minutes. Then suddenly all 3 escaped through the hatch. Entity displeased, de-piped. Luckily i play PS4 so i don't need to see the taunts in end game chat.
You got it worse since I got 2 kills and you got one but even then it's the same situation. Both games killers lose kills because of keys. Its ridiculous
-
@Mikeasaurus said:
It's pretty frustrating especially when you've got them on the ropes. I've had it happen so many times. Usually I'll be chasing a survivor with 1 hiding somewhere, and 9/10 times, they'll suddenly dart for a location with nothing there, and it's always the other survivor waiting for them with a key. Now, I don't mind keys honestly, because if they want to escape that way, then fine by me, but there really does need to be some kind of a wind-up to it's use. Like 5 seconds of them using it and unlocking the hatch or something. I mean, at least before we could grab them as they jumped, but since that's long gone, we have no defence against it.
It honestly ticked me. They didn't deserve to survive and they farmed their other 2 teammates. That's why I was upset mainly. Plus I got brutal instead of ruthless because of one emblem score

Myers already has strong add ons that buff everything you mentioned, aside for the being able to kill survivors when they vault.
This isn't really needed. The buffs to tier 1 would be horrendous for anyone vsing Jump Scare Myers on Lerys.
I nerfed his op add ons for one and two that situation is super rare unless they bring an offering for it and even then it's still countered by gen rushing

@Snowstruck said:
I'm making this post, because a lot of people do not understand why a lot of people hate playing as, and against, spirit.
So...
For one, a lot of people bring up the "there is no indicator" argument, which is a completely valid argument. A lot of people will counter this argument by saying, "she was made to be that way!" And to that I say.. Old legion was made to be old legion, and they were changed. And also, the fact that she has no indicator is... quite interesting. Not only does it take literally no skill to sit there and fake phase (it's literally you taking your hand off your mouse) but anyone, and I mean anyone, with half a damn brain can do that. One of the only counters to that is running spine chill, but, realistically- not everyone will run spine chill. And if you need to run a certain perk to counter a killer, it's pretty stupid. It's like saying run distortion on a scratched mirror, or off the record. Plain and simple, it's dumb to say that.
Adding on to the last argument (to separate it) it's a 50/50 at loops, and not a skill based 50/50. No. The survivor has to guess if you are phasing at loops. That is ridiculous. You can stand still and get an easy kill if the survivor makes the wrong guess. That isn't a skill thing, it's an, "aw sh*t, i'm about to be outplayed by someone standing still." thing.. The fact that it's almost a luck based thing is damn ridiculous.
Another thing, if she's running stridor, you're basically screwed. One of her only other perk counters is iron will, which I didn't mention before because a lot of people just use iron will. It's a meta perk, so it's not something to complain about because a lot of people will use it, whether it's because of spirits or just juking at loops. So, if she does have stridor- you can't do your simple, start walking and hope she doesn't have the blood addon thing. No, you basically just.. have to make a guess, again.
Which brings me to my third point- one of her best counters is starting to walk when you are certain she is phasing, because she cannot see you in phasing. Problem with that is, again, without iron will you're screwed- and if you DO have iron will, and she has stridor.. you're screwed. See the problem? If she obviously has stridor, your best bet is to run like hell and hope she loses your scratches.
In conclusion- anyone with half a brain can master and destroy with spirit, especially with the right addons and perks. And it's just really not fun to play against. Think what you want, but this is my opinion, and you can have yours. :)
Edit: Since a lot of people noticed my mistake (I forgot to do the other argument, about playing AS her. I put it in the comments though.) and are calling me "toxic" and the "reason the community is so toxic" and "bait", I will now explain my side of playing AS her.
Playing as Spirit was honestly a rough patch for me. At first, I thought I might genuinely want to learn her.. until I got to red rank survivor, and saw how awful and unfun/unfair it is to play against her every other damn match. I started playing her for a bit, leveled her a wee bit, and decided if I would level her, it would be for her perks- not so much to play her. Why? Because...
For one, I understand how much it sucks to play against her, but I won't go into that because it is "toxic" to take that side in this argument, and I do understand it. But this is ONE part of why I hate playing as her.
Secondly, it just doesn't take that much skill to learn her. Sure, she's not a one click master, but it only took a few games for me to really be able to get 4ks. A few games. As in, 2-3 games. It didn't take much time for me to fully understand the bait of her ability and how to use it. I just don't enjoy that a killer takes literally no skill to learn, wheras killers I do enjoy playing (Deathslinger and, the dreaded, Legion) do take skill to learn. I'm still learning Deathslinger, and I'm not the greatest, and definitely don't get 4ks every match (if at all), but I have improved with my shots, aim, etc since I first started playing. Him, among other killers, take skill to learn.
As a third point, I will bring up her power. It is... not my favorite thing in the world. I like playing killer to engage in chases. Spirits ability to end chases rather quickly, whether it be you killing them real quick, or them losing you, is pretty unfun to me. I like looping, and doing fun mind games, personally.
Now, since I have stated the other side, you can stop commenting how damn "toxic" I am. Thanks :)
Only tome I have ever seen the stand still thing was across pallets, and if you are across a pallet you can look at her to see if she is phasing or not IE she glows when she is phasing

@JordanMalicious said:
I main killer, but I dabble in survivor as well. I know both sides enough to know it isn't fun to get t bagged at an exit gate by survivors, especially if you got rolled the entire game. Flipside being, killers, don't be a toxic gamer and let a survivor crawl towards the hatch, making it clear that you'll let them have it, only to close it in their face, or carrying the last survivor around the map so you can find hatch, drop them, close hatch, and hook them.
Lots of killers didn't want the last survivor to have struggle state because it was a waste of time? Well, pot calling the kettle black, you're going to waste a survivors time by carrying them around so YOU can close hatch.
Going off topic there, all I'm saying is please don't be that person and choose to offer false hope to a survivor just because you want to be a prick. Same as I would hope any survivor players who care about the community to not tbag and bm killers.
Only time I ever closed hatch in someone's face was for the points, and I still let them get the door

1. While normally true, I am almost certain the forums tend to be more killer oriented (I'm pretty sure that was a consensus around here that there are more vocal killers on the forums than survivors)
2. Once again your points on pipping aren't really relevant to whether this game is balanced for the overall player base. Also " rank does matter, also pipping is broken, also matchmaking is broken. Also survivors and red ranks are boosted, but also red rank survivors with purple rank killer is unfair." Logic does not add up here
3. Your point on survivor pipping and hexy tourney IS RELEVANT when talking about the skill ceiling and balance at high rank. But once again, this is a party game, and a discussion on whether this game needs to be balanced around high rank is a different story than if the overall game is survivor or killer sided.
There are ways to limit the survivor skill ceiling, and it is okay to do that even if OVERALL the game is killer sided. And they have been doing that with the map changes, that don't seem to effect bad survivors much but limit how oppressive excellent survivors can be with great tile set-ups
BUT the numbers don't lie, average kill rate is above 50%, so OVERALL, it is a correct statement to say the game is killer sided.
Do you have a recent source for your last point (recent meaning this year)

Question: have you tryed changing Sloppy Butcher for Corrupt Intervention? It'll become more useful in high ranks since people are more confident and don't want to heal (and preventing 1-2 generators popping before your first hook too - which forces a maximum of two people working on at gens).

A early EW2 and smart usage of storing EW3 can still mess up decent teams.
Outdated and weak are different things

I'm not going to be replying to anyone anymore since clearly you all are extremely tunnel vision. If you can't see the entitlement of wanting to make someone play a match that they're not having any fun in just so the killer can farm more bloodpoints out of them then idk what to tell you.
No where did I support dc'ing and if you got that out of my posts then learn to read. I clearly stated it's in their right to dc if they aren't having fun. And guess what's, there's a thing called a dc penalty so they'll be punished for doing so. Stop crying and move on.
You said they have the right to dc. Which ruins it for the other players. That's the point of the op, not blood points. It ruins the match for the 4 other people because why? They weren't having fun. Yep totally suiciding on hook or DC is ok because they have the right to because they aren't having fun.

Go play Siege. Nearly every day, unraked or casual, getting shot in the back, sandbagged, spawn killed by a teammate or just plain-old getting followed around and verbally abused by someone that has no intention firing their gun about one in five matches. It is, in fact, the sole reason I stopped playing the game for nearly a year and have only just picked it back up.
Call me a liar all you want, you are entitled to your thoughts. I, however, prefer to draw from my own experiencs of there being far more than just a few bad apples, and the experiences of my friends who also play both Siege and other competitive titles that I do not touch.
But that's the thing. This game is no where close to as toxic as siege. And mute buttons exist. Like I said the toxicity is in the minority

@MadLordJack said:

Yes, let's just mute the toxic player only to get sandbagged by them because that's exactly what happens to me all the time in other co-op PvP games even if I have said nothing at all. And I do mean "all the time."
Comms doesn't just add another level of communication. It brings in low-effort and easily accessible toxicity, especially since the disgustingly rude, or downright racist/sexist/classist/homophobic/or otherwise bigoted, don't like to be ignored.
Toxicity like that isn't gonna come every day. So I'm calling you a liar. Also voice chat would bring solo to the level of swf, making it easier to buff killers as a whole or buff survivors as a whole. Just because of a few bad apples shouldn't ruin the entire bunch
-
@[Deleted User] said:
1.) Increase toxicness by 1000%
2.) Allow your teammate to use slurs in game against you instead of in postgame chat.
3.) This game is in parts of the world where you can get a team where everyone speaks a different language. No one would be able to communicate.
4.) People have said they would quit over this.
5.) Buffs solos way too much against our killers currently. You’d have to buff all killers way up.
The above as to why it’s not a good idea. Also this is not a valid reason for it:
bUT yOu cOuLD JusT tURn iT OfF...........
I mean you could just mute the player who is being toxic. Also yeah they could easily buff the killer roster as a whole if they wanted to implement this

Halloween: Dr Loomis as new survivor. Withered Michael as new skin.
Left 4 Dead: Smoker legendary skin for Death Slinger. Charger legendary skin for Billy. New map from the Sacrifice campaign.
TCM: Sally as new survivor. Pretty Lady skin for Leatherface
NOES: OG Nancy as new survivor. OG Freddy as skin.
Saw: Adam and Lawrence as new survivor. Hoffman skin for Pig.
Evil Dead: Cabin Map. Deadite Killer.
Stranger Things: Jim Hopper and Jonathan Byers as new survivors.

Finally a comment worth reading, whoever is complaining about gen rush now is either bad or don't know how things used to be a year or two ago. Now killers have been buffed, new killers are decent and new perks to stop gens have been added (hello pop)...it's totally fine now and people just complain because they get rushed one game out of 5 or so and mainly because they didnt put pressure.
Didn't put pressure you say? How would you apply pressure thoroughly then? Without corrupt early gens fly quickly and if you are using a basic m1 killer its gonna be a tough chase if you are playing good people. For example pp head and other killers with insane chase powers don't have issue with gen speed if they can get hooks faster than they can unhook. The apply pressure argument is such a flawed one. Old ruin and now corrupt are band aids for bad map design. Sure old ruin needed to go and I have no issue with that. Seriously try out wraith or clown or legion or any of those killers, out them against a competent gen rushing team and I guarantee they will not win. I'm not saying gen rushing is an issue for all killers, which is simply not true (Cough* FREDDY Cough*). Just saying bad map design is the reason some killers have issue with gen rushing. The aply pressure argument can be applied on only some killers like freddy spirit nurse billy bubba, killers who have the power to apply pressure to everyone in the match. To conclude, I agree with the applying pressure argument with some killers.

It's called ######### telemetry, they should have logs of literally every game in the form of text that can be replayed back to them using a replay system. Literally kilobytes of data to be able to examine every match in extreme detail. But no, the protection against cheaters is relying on average players to record their games like it's ######### 1994.
I'm not disagreeing with that. I'm just say ooh ng right now they cannot be caught due to no evidence whatsoever. If the dev's do not have logs of the game and you don't have video evidence you are kinda screwed.

I would be okay with this or at the very least give me a steady stream of skill checks (Don't even distribute them if multiple people are on a generator - just everyone gets a bunch of time). Sure it makes "impossible skill check" builds stronger like Doctor but holding too much M1 while looking at my other monitor to ward off my boredom at times makes me stop playing survivor for the day. Looping is the fun part but it's also part of the game to allow that to happen organically rather than bum rushing the killer just to have him ignore me anyway.
Id agree with this as well. It's too boring to hold m1 which usually results in me playing toxic just to get chased

Do you expect regular people who aren't even streamers to keep a recording tool running all the time just for the slight chance of encountering a hacker? What is this insanity? Doesn't BHVR keep track of various data from games? That's how they create their stat-sheets after all. How hard can it be to look up that particular game and check if the Endgame Collapse was triggered far too early?
If anything this game is in dire need of a replay feature.
You are right in that regard but still there isn't evidence. Sadly if you are telling the truth they got away with it
