I propose you change the name from "blind and deaf" to Helen Keller. Out of respect for the OG.
-
The game is so killer sided that survivors are punished for the killers actions. This is just getting ridiculous.
-
I mean, if you play sweaty, you get sweat in return. I get Hella variety at low mmr. The game just added boons and rebalanced several killers before we got an event, into a new chapter coming soon... With another event on the way.
It is not stale just because YOU are bored.
-
I would derank Myers so that you can get it first try perkless. Not sure if that is the advice you are looking for, but it is probably more effective than genuine strategies...

I dunno, what do you consider an appropriate amount of time spent BP grinding to have access to meta perks and get them on one killer? Bearing in mind that getting BBQ also means having to spend extra.
If you ask me, all perks should be available for all killers/survivors from the start. I think we should be grinding for something different. But I don't make the rules.
-
Well, I think survivor mains are annoying and you don't see me begging for nerfs.
-
You didn't hear what happened between Behavior and Dowsey? It is not my place to air their dirty laundry, but let's just say it involved a lot of whisky and some donkeys. Censorship was the only path forward.
-
How should I know? Let's just go with 69 hours.

You might wanna reread it. You can heal yourself!
Thanks for the heads up. I was just going to skip it, but might as well do it and get me 50 gs, baby!

Yeah, sorry, by DL I mean Dying Light, my favorite perk, and super underrated IMO. Nobody tell the devs, though! 😀
Ooh, I am telling on you. Behavior is going to hear about this one and you will be in SOOOOO much trouble.
-
I honestly do not believe the grind is too bad, if you are a killer main running BBQ consistently offering cakes and the like. The real problem is the lack of BP events, even during freaking Halloween. Doubt we get one for Christmas either.

After I brutalized a swf by tunneling and face camping their first member out in record time, I made friends with a Zarina. I would nod when she didn't drop a pallet, and she would nod back. I was letting them live because I only needed the Meg for a mask. She noticed me drop her for a Pumpkin and led me to a different one I didn't see later in the game. She was trying to point at it. It was in the corner of the tractor on Fractured Cowshed. It was wholesome because I was treating them very poorly as it was a 4 man with flashlights and toolboxes for Sabo. But in the end, for whatever reason, the Zarina saw past my toxic Leatherface persona and to this day she was my favorite survivor.
-
They probably do it on weekdays too. Toxic swf aren't the community, fam. Don't compare me to them, I am much worse.

I actually wish this was real.
I don't. It would make me start regularly DCing.

I strive to be the best worst Pig. I chased someone for 5 gens until they died to end game collapse. Pretty swag. Their homies even left so they could get hatch, but with my skill, it spawned far away from them.
-
Once I put a cake on, they decide to gen rush.
Once they put up a party streamer and realize I am playing fair, all of a sudden it is all good in the hood. Funny how that works.
-
If I am not on a challenge they get an escape. I say escape as I am not patient enough to go through the hatch process. I will just close it and give them a gate. Makes it more suspenseful as sometimes they "earn" it regardless.
But even if I find them, they are free to leave. I don't care if I am not on a challenge.
-
I am such a G that I pair No Mither with Slippery Meat. Yep, I am kind of a big deal and God's gift to survivor mains.

The thing is, people back in the day had no incentive to Prestige. They played the game, suffered the enormous Bloodwebs, and Prestiged because they genuinely enjoyed the game, wanted to support it and see it succeed.
There was a very short period of time (a couple of weeks iirc) between the announcement of Legacy and the cut off date. The majority of players who have Legacy didn't Prestige specifically for it, but for the reasons I mentioned above.
Making Legacy a permanent reward for Prestiging removes literally everything unique about it. It just becomes another piece of Prestige gear, just glowing instead of blood. Removes the whole point (wouldn't make sense to be called Legacy either), and just spits on the players who actually earned them back in the day.
The only players who should get Legacy now are ones that actually used to have them but lost them to the glitch you mentioned. No one new should get it because that would defeat the whole point of it being 'Legacy', and fortunately the developers seem to agree with this assessment (as they have mentioned time and time again over the years).
How was prestiging supporting the game and wanting it to succeed? Like, did you have to pay money to do it before?

That's what the hatch is for. But they got rid of the hatch.
Hatch is still there, he is just hiding. He only comes out when the coast is clear because he has social anxiety.

I got the same vibe. Not really from the perspective of the hooked, but the genners.
If every hookstage took 2 minutes, their is no reason to get off your gen to get them off hook. If gens take 80 seconds solo, and a survivor takes 120 seconds to get to 2nd stage, people will be slamming them gens... Because there is no pressure to get them off hook... Except if there is a catch to doing gens while someone is on hook...:
Every single gen that is done while a survivor is on hook takes a certain amount of time away from that survivor. Let's say every hookstage takes 2 minutes. Every gen done while a survivor is hooked takes away 30 seconds of that time.
With 3 gens done, this would effectively put the hooked survivor on 2nd hookstage instantly, depending on how much time the survivors took to complete those gens.
This effect will not happen if the killer is within a set distance of the hook, to combat face-camping.
Okay, then they go second stage and better hope they ran DS. Because those gens are getting done, cuh.

I’ll take Nurse any day over Bubba unless you’re really intent on face camping. Sawing down pallets is good and all, but ignoring them and all the other mindless loops in this game altogether is even better.
Most survivors are a dangerous combination of bad and cocky. You do not even need to worry about sawing the pallets as most of them greed. If you need an example, True Tunneler is pretty high mmr with Bubba. Just pay attention to how many downs he has no business getting if the survivor was intelligent enough to predrop. It is astounding. You ignore the pallets in the same way as Nurse thanks to their remarkable decision making. Only the skill requirement to get the downs is much more reasonable.
-
I just got the bar relatively close, used his bat to take away a health state. And waited until they were away from a loop to hit the last 2-3 knifes and cancel straight into main event.
Try to watch out for lockers as I messed up the first attempt because they jumped straight into it.

It's not about killer's power. It's about map design.
I always said this to my friend: "No matter how many hours you spent on a killer, you will not win if the maps are not in your favor."
Until you play Bubba.
This is true, Bubba is the way. Until the developers decide to nerf him.

I don't see there being any way to introduce luck-based mechanics without it just being some nerf to killers across the board. I'd prefer they just remove the junk offerings and rework Up the Ante.
It's a game where you're playing against another player, you can't all just be "lucky" or it's just beating down on the killer. Like when DS was just everyone's first pickup, you can't all be the main character final girl, it just doesn't work.
Give the killer luck based mechanics too so that if they boost luck, they are also boosting the killer's luck.

Yeah, i wish the game was bought by a bigger company :(
You never know, they could make it worse. At least Behavior is a known variable. I genuinely feel a lot of the criticism directed at them is not the most constructive and I heavily prefer how they handle this game compared to how Activision handles, well... Any of their games. Call of Duty and Overwatch were the ones I have personally been let down by.
-
Offense, I typically run anti pallet or chase builds. When I first started, I used regression to learn the game and then realized I needed to improve my tracking, so I used information builds. Now I feel I have a very good grasp on the game and can just have fun.
Sometimes it fails and they immerse themselves into a gg ez baby killer. And gen rushers will rush gens. So those games rarely last too long. But that is fine, keeps me lower mmr where these are less problematic.
-
Would have been an easy game for me as I would have just tunneled the first one and without DS, well... They wouldn't get very far.

Probably NFT's (to no surprise)

You hit the nail on the head, I am consumed with overwhelming despair when I play survivor. With just a little bit of hope, perhaps I could overcome it. However, I know the endeavor is fruitless and I just give up and accept my fate because this game belongs to the killer mains. Nothing I can do will alter the outcome of destiny. I am just helpless, a soon to be corpse; the killers play thing. An instrument for their fun.

@BadLooperQ said:
Yes. Only deafs might have a problem using her. Considering survivors Bloodmarks and noises literally bring her to you, a good Spirit won't fall for any trick with bloodmarks.
When I play against her it's either a matter of trying to bluff with her phasing if I'm healthy or dropping pallets at the moment she's trying to hit me when I'm hurt.
And today I had a game where I was in that map with bigass dead tree on the middle and I literally didn't had where to run, dead zones everywhere, this is where spirit shines. Her not being able to see survs it's not that big of a deal with good headphones and Bloodmarks Tracking.
I am not deaf, I think... But still struggle. So maybe I am deaf.
-
Huh? If I face camp someone because they annoyed me, I was doing it because they annoyed me. Someone bodyblocked me with BT when all I wanted was BBQ stacks. I tunneled them out of the game and face camped them. That was their fault. Now, I am not saying I didn't tunnel and face camp them as you seem to imply. I did? I take full responsibility for dominating them. But I literally was not going to play that way until they denied me my hook. This is basic cause and effect. I am not sure which part you are having difficulty comprehending. Cause is what they did, effect, which comes after cause, is what I did... Is that clear enough?
-
I have been teabagged. Usually by people who cleaned me up after I almost killed them and someone saved them, so I think they are ironic teabags rather than "toxic" ones. And I had one guy whining about the team, but he was bottom of the leaderboard, so obviously delusional.
And just like Dead by Daylight, it is really just people having some fun mixed with mentally unstable people. The environment is not really any more or less toxic, per se.
I will admit Halo is more skilled based, so there is less opportunity for players to BM for exploiting assymetrical mechanics. But I do not know, it feels same old, same old as most games I have played outside of Overwatch which has a genuine toxicity problem.
-
I turn off my game every night, not to brag.
-
Nancy because I spent five dollars on her, and then to justify the purchase, I fell into a sunk cost fallacy and bought her rose cardigan drip for another eight dollars because I wasn't smart enough to do it during on of the various sales.
-
Monitor might be interesting to throw survivors off in chase and make power activations cleaner when approaching gens without add ons. But overall, he sucks and needs to be carried by meta perks. This would only be something for fun, and maybe throw in distressing for added troll factor.
-
Oh, yeah, to do the challenge in this tome, I needed to bait them into the open just to secure the down. I was not about to use it near a loop because I already know how that goes from extensive experience. Lol (I am not really laughing, I am dying inside).

I thought facing walls protected you from flashlights. I found a new religion and became a child of Lightborn. Sorry Buddha, it was fun while it lasted, but papa enjoys his vision.

Well I know a lot of them resigned for a lack of a better word before my time here...and then a lot of them either don't play anymore so have no reason to be on the forums. Boss was the last somewhat active one but he quit after Boons were released because he couldn't use Devour Hope anymore.
We definitely need more however. Karu would be one I'd like to see. General would also make a good one as far as I'm concerned. Cashel too. Definitely a lot of options for new people.
Sluzzy is the most trusted member of this community, I nominate him to be our representative.

Of all the meta things to complain about, the one that's particularly there for its BP and gives survivors what they want?
BBQ is broken because it gives killer mains more access to broken add ons to dominate their games against us poor innocent solo queue survivors.

No one to tell me how wrong I am?
I expected at least a few comments like that, guess we all share the same hidden thoughts when it comes to this game.
You are wrong, the game is very enjoyable for killer and horrendous for survivor. Boons literally saved my life and cured toxicity.

I can dig it, but instead of a sale with real money, they should discount items for iridescent shards! Yep, I am sure that is very likely to happen. I can feel it in my spine that is chill.
-
All I want for Christmas is for the game to stop being so killer sided. But since we can't have that, ugly sweaters are nice. The one thing killers will never have.
-
And also vault validation, I am so tired of vaulting and getting hit from Narnia. Survivors have it way too rough at the moment.

Unless you already got ALL the perks for him without prestiging, why not?
Use all the addons/offerings you have and then go for it
I mean... Even without all perks, the investment is HUGE. I wouldn't prestige anyone on a whim. You have to be committed or not care about bloodpoints.
