I still can't believe people complain about blight before Oni, he can J flick easier and his power is a one shot.

I’ve noticed this when survivors will complain all day about facing the same 3 killers but then whenever they face someone outside the ‘meta’ they’ll bully the ever living hell out of whoever it is. Do you only want more killer diversity for actual gameplay or just so you have easy bully material?
Who cares? it's just a game , people are way too soft these days is the real problem

No no, you need to be more sure than "pretty much".
Cause hearing the Terror Radius during the camera pan, meaning you are closer than 32 meters to a Killer, is not intentional.
You'd better report it as a bug in that case, with video proof preferably.
I believe it, I spawned in the shack with Leatherface standing in front of me.

It just always confuses me as I constantly see her being called ‘easy mode’ yet I struggled when I played as her. And I see killers like Clown being called weak and I got to rank 1 by using Clown, Deathslinger and Legion.
I wasn’t sure if I was doing something wrong by not being able to pick her up straight off the bat. I accidentally ended up on an old Otzdarva video last night and it was when Spirit first came out and he classed her as having a high skill cap. It’s just funny how that narrative has completely changed now lol.
I’ll stick at it. I don’t have an ego when it comes to games and I shouldn’t expect myself to be good at every killer. I’ll try her some more but she might just not be my cup of tea and that’s fine.
Spirit really doesn't have a high skill cap it doesn't take long to get good with her, that being said you still have to put time in to get good you can't just slap headphones on and be a godly spirit , she's best utilized using shorter spurts in chases with the phase and not being in the mode too long to where it's a guessing game , I only hold phases out if I'm traversing to a gen far away I've noticed alot of newer spirit players stay in phase and waste it all before attacking
-
The thing that makes it not strong in my opinion is the timer starts immediately on being injured and the killer can see where you're running and let's be honest the way most maps are there isn't a whole lot to hide behind and you're easy to pin point unless it's an indoor map as mentioned above where you have plenty of LOS breakers to actually fool a good killer, most decent killers on any outdoor map can still continue chase and get the down
-
Unbreakable is top tier folks, any killer that's gonna give you a hard time more than likely has map pressure and is going to slug for the 4k given the opportunity, ONE survivor running unbreakable can flip the whole script and work to reset your whole team if used correctly essentially erasing the pressure and the time the killer invested
-
I believe it , when I decide to play solo some idiot with like 1/16th of a braincell is there to remind me why I should just play killer if I don't have anyone to party with
-
I swear I think the devs take builds into consideration in matchmaking, it's like the second you put on a counter for a killer you never will get that killer until you take the build off lol Im aware that's probably not really how it works but it makes you wonder
-
@Blueberry said:
You don't see it used much now because most those people weren't actually being tunneled, they were abusing it as a 60sec immunity.
It still prevents tunneling just as well as it did before. Shows how much the change was a good one.
It's still at least an A tier if not S tier perk.
A tier ? That's a bit of a stretch, while I agree with the immunity being abused part I feel it's too situational to be ranked that high now , it's truly an anti tunnel perk at this moment in the game , on an off note it makes you wonder what they're about to come out with to compensate? I don't have a problem with the nerf but I'm expecting some pretty strong perks with a RE chapter coming
-
The wraith is literally a shittier version of the spirit, he cloaks with a loud bell to turn "invisible" if that's what you want to call it and has to outmaneuver the survivor while having to hit the bell again before he can attack while the spirit goes full invisible and has no warning before her exit of phasing she's just there , also she's faster than wraith when she's phasing
-
Lmao knowing BHVR if they did that it would be something ridiculous like a pokemon chapter
-
Swf isn't even that strong it's survivors separating on gens that make them strong , the gens go too quick and unless you slug you probably won't 4k but that's just the reality of playing at high ranks in what the devs have said themselves was a casual game not meant for esports so what do you expect? Survivors to start on the ground? I'm seriously waiting for you to make that thread I think you're the chosen one tony
-
This is a decent perk that can sometimes save the day but it's actually a strong tournament perk imo

You could say the same about the legion mending addon exploit though,right?
All survivors will get downed by the legion eventually.
I mean yea of course you could compare the two but I think the devs don't want to ban people for their own mistakes anymore , I don't think its fair to use that perk at the moment but I also think that the devs do this stuff on purpose at this point lol

I had one of those the other night.
No Mither, Soul Guard, Breakdown and Dead Hard.
I managed to 4K over the course of a very long match.
You'll always win that match as a killer though, their goal is to make you dc from all the bullshit you have to endure in that timeframe but they'll all bleed out eventually

It's only a real problem when they all run no mither+ breakout with it , there's not a whole lot you can do in that situation

And that's the problem is the turning cap isn't working so someone with a keyboard and mouse can easily do that by mistake if they play on high sensitivity, if you play blight with 100 sensitivity you've probably j flicked without realizing it

Perks doesn't equate to skill.
You can have 4 good perk, if you don't know how to loop you're still gonna get down in 10s.
That's totally not the point but to go off of what you're saying why should you hinder that person who's going down in ten seconds more than what they are already? What's the harm in giving them the slots available but they still have to earn their perks? It's not like you're handing them teachable perks for free they still have to grind but if they buy a character they should feel like they can use them out the gates and at least try the three perks that come with the survivor

I can barely remember to be fair it's been years since I've done it lol. But your friend will figure it out it's just part of the learning curve to dbd. I'm just glad the bloodwebs aren't as bad as they were when it first came out because that was a major grind lol.
I can agree with that, but what I took for granted was when I went to his place and saw the amount of characters locked, I started on release so it has been easy for me to throw like ten dollars out every time a chapter drops but on a new player I mean it's pretty overwhelming looking at the amount of stuff in the game now and trying to explain it all, I had years to learn as I went and it's hard to cram all that information into someone and then keep them interested in the game , I just figured if they had all 4 perk slot from the start then they could feel comfortable starting as anyone and getting used to how perks work together
-
@Kirkylad said:

You get 50,000 for doing one tutorial. There are tutorials for both killer and survivor so together that's 100,000 bp. That's well on the way to getting all 4 slots which should just take a few games after that. We all managed to figure it out before now so your friend will as well.
You only get 25,000 per tutorial or at least that's how it was when it first came out
-
@Kirkylad said:
You get 100,000 bp for completing both the tutorials to use on a character.
No you don't you only get 50,000 and that's not near enough to compete immediately especially if you're just trying to learn why is it fair to limit the number of perks on a new player and match them with a 1000 hour fully loaded spirit?

it's not that hard to get to level 15.... more than likely you'll only have about 8 or 10 perks in general. meh not hard..
Yea it's not that hard to get there but you also have to think that while they're just trying to level up to the point of all slots unlocked they're getting matched with fully loaded players who have teachables from other characters while they're confined to a limit on EVERY character they own until lvl 15 and have no way to try something else out without being at a disadvantage

Hi, The_Krapper. We do not disagree on the premises. We disagree on the conclusions.
If a team of survivors can beat all types of killers except nurse, that is a weakness on the team and not the killer character.
Likewise, if a nurse player beats everyone, that is the credit of the player and not the nurse.
The nurse does not break rules. She is her own style with her own strengths and weaknesses.
Across the board the nurse is the weakest killer, proven by statistics. One cannot take specific examples to refute a generalization. That is an informal fallacy of logic.
Again, we do not disagree on the premises. But I contend the premises do not indicate the conclusion you think they indicate.
Ok so do you consider yourself a good survivor? And do you have a squad available?

Yep thats the general strat but from my personal experience it is generally a duo or more and if you chase one they hop into the locker and when you chase the other one the first one hops out and the other one hops in. I dont think its that critical of an issue just it can be pretty annoying to go against. I couldnt care less about it but recently I have seen some survivor streamers acting like they were amazing because they ogt an unavoidable blind.
Well think of it like this , you can easily notice if that's they type of locker they hop in because of the wide open side , so leave them in there a second and check the area if you know the team is using that type of strategy to save and you've got two survivors essentially doing nothing and if you pressure the flashlighter you almost force the situations of them having to leave the locker or be dead weight and it creates an opportunity to slug if you can down one fairly quickly
-
@Karna5 said:
ArcticGirl36 is correct. There are a few fallacies brought up by others in this thread on which I'd like to comment. I won't use poster names as who said the fallacies is not important.
One: Statistics on kills do not tell the whole story, even though nurse is extremely difficult to use.
Answer: They do actually tell the whole story because somebody who can get very good at nurse can actually get better at the stronger killers if they wanted. In fact, many of the best nurses who are used as examples of nurse strength played the game for thousands of hours, and the only thing one can infer from such a person playing nurse is they enjoy it. When someone gets so good at this game, it's natural to pick something more challenging to play well. This does not make nurse stronger. It arguably makes nurse more fun at high levels of expertise. But the statistics across all ranks do tell the actual and whole truth
Two: But nurses are strong because they can best defeat groups of survivors using voice communications to let each other know where the killer is.
Answer: This does not mean the nurse is strongest. It means these teams in question are terrible and rely so much on their voice warnings that they become inferior to solo survivors who learn to do well without the assistance of voice and team practice.
Three: But there are so-and-so nurse players who can annihilate anyone they want at will
Answer: Just because a very good killer can use a rolled up newspaper to kill somebody does not make the rolled up newspaper a better weapon than a knife. The rolled up newspaper is far weaker. It may, however, be more fun.
[I realize some of the posts to which I am responding were deleted, perhaps by moderation, and I am grateful for the moderation and am trying to post on the subject impersonally.]
So with your logic all these top tier tournament teams are full of "bad players" because they lose to nurse? The nurse is the only killer that can ignore all of your safety and instantly clap you up, the reason the nurse doesn't have a high kill or pick rate is because she's hard to master and people get bullied so much when they try her out that they give her up all together and pick an easier killer to learn , I've played nurse for years and I can't remember the last time I actually lost a match with her its been quite a while , I started playing oni and the twins more recently just to switch things up and because not alot of people play as twins and I'm sure people would enjoy the game.

@IOIOO said:
I just played nurse, for about 3 weeks, and I instantly got into top %, and destroy survivors honestly every single match unless its lerys or coldwind. Nurse isn't that hard, she even takes less skills than any other killer such as pig and spirit, if you don't trust me you can try her, she needs a nerf, even as a rank 1 it is extremely sweaty to play against a purple rank nurse, she is more broken than anyone.
Really and how can we scrimmage against your 3 week of skill nurse ?
-
My view is that 90% of the players I run into are so bad it really doesn't matter, seriously this game takes the title for bad players being at top level it's painful to watch how randoms play and sometimes even some of my friends I try to just play for fun and not care about it but sometimes it's near impossible and I'm in no mood to deal with ######### that takes like half a brain cell to understand being treated as if it's rocket science , I might be inclined to agree with the view more if people actually had a brain that play the game
-
You think it's balanced ? If someone ran a no mither Sabo squad with the current breakdown and breakout together it would be so ######### for the killer you could just hold the game hostage for an hour or more if you did it right , especially on maps like dead dawg, badham , strode , red forest etc pretty much all the maps lol , if someone really wanted to be a dick that build is probably this biggest way possible with the current breakdown
-
Lmao like every killer I've faced has iron grasp on now, they need to patch this asap

Self preservation is better lol

Pinhead, hannibal, leprechaun are three I think of right off hand

Not my fault most killers can't cover the whole map super fast. Just had a match as trapper, I started walking 2 steps and I hear tinkerer trigger on the opposite side of the map. What am I supposed to do? Nurse teleport there? As trapper? Didn't even have time to set a trap before they did a gen already.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/N8B07JQ0ELBT/20210415182856-1.jpg
If you are going to abuse big maps and how fast you can do gens then of course i'm gonna tunnel and camp, why wouldn't I when it's the only way I have to at least assure I have some fun and not end up the game with 0 hooks and teabagged at the exit.
If tinkerer proc 2 seconds into the game they're a hacker and I would report them there's literally no way for that to happen

And it's not killers fault for being forced to tunnel and slug. What are they supposed to do ? 🤣
Hey I slug when I play killer so you'll never hear me hating on that, they're supposed to do what it takes for a kill not come on the forums and cry about survivors doing the only objective that will help them escape
-
Breakdown is still broken lol I saw it used just this morning and the hook never came back
-
@RenTheCat said:
Maybe if survivors weren't tryhards that pop 3 gens before the killer even finds them the killer wouldn't have to resort to tunneling to secure at least one kill so he's not only not humilliated but also doesn't derank and has some fun.
If you want tunneling to not exist then make it so the killer can chill and kill at his own pace instead of being forced to tunnel or all 4 survivors will escape and teabag at the exit.
And what do you suppose they do during that time? Are they supposed to eat crumpets and have a tea party until the killer finds someone? It's not the survivors fault for doing their objective

To be fair the rule of trapper (im assuming thats who he was playing) is to set up a 3 gen and force survivors into your area while slowly getting rid of pallets and trapping other loops. Trapper literally becomes strongest at last gen thats how hes designed kinda. Keys just kinda ruin trappers end game potential and its not like you can just plan around it since chests exist. Personally thats why i hope keys become personal if you wanna escape you just left 2 people behind against a 3 gen trapper. Dumb move. I don't personally think i should have to become aggressive trapper and like go for a slug everyone strategy to avoid a item from screwing my entire endgame purpose. Other option is to bring franklins every game and hope its not a swf.
If you do like OP said and camp 3 gens the ENTIRE match you deserve to lose , 3 genning is a good strat but it shouldnt be able to work in a brain dead sort of way like that , "just because I play trapper and camp 3 gens means I deserve more than one kill" yeah no thanks that sounds like a boring non interactive game for both sides, I wouldn't want to be the trapper Or survivors in that scenario
-
@brokedownpalace said:
They're just testing how well they can still dominate as Nurse lol
I'm honestly guilty of this but I really just do it to test out updated maps for areas to see where I can't blink and report it, also to see if I experience fps problems playing after a update.
-
@RenTheCat said:
I spent an entire match setting traps around 3 gens only for the three survivors remaining to just escape through the hatch with a key. They didn't even touch a single one of those gens even though they still had to repair 1 more to open the gates.
Why is it even a thing that 75% of a team is able to escape without having to complete the objective, open the gates and go through them? All you have to do is find a key in the 9999 chests that appear all over the map or bring it yourself and that's it, you won.
It's hilarious how if the killer camps and secures a kill he will still derank, but a survivor who did nothing and used the hatch will never get a -1 because just surviving makes your score fine.
At the very least make it so you have to hold the hatch for 20 seconds like in the gates. If the survivor with the key finds the hatch first there is literally no way to stop them, you can't grab them, you can't close it if they are standing on it, you're just completly powerless.
There are perks against camping, perks against tunneling, perks against slugging, but not a single perk against the hatch.
And don't say "kill 'em before the hatch shows up" because the killer is punished if he doesn't make the match last long. If you immediatly kill everyone in the first few minutes you derank, you barely get any bloodpoints, you spent 1 hour searching for match and loading the map only for the game to last 2 minutes, etc.
The fact that a killer has to be afraid of a key is so pathetic. Just give survivors a gun and let them kill the killer too.
You said you spent the entire match keeping 3 gens locked down, maybe if you would've traded just a small amount of that time to getting other survivors you may have gotten more than one kill.
-
It can go either one of two ways:
1. They're actually serious about the game and even if they aren't the best they're trying to help everyone survive the trial
2. Then you've got the I'm gonna try and annoy you every way possible for clips tv player which will run in squads and run builds to troll just make the killer miserable without really focusing on gens , they're objective is to make the killer ragequit for the LOLs and clip it.

The perk I proposed punishes the unhokking Survivor, while still proc'ing BT on tne unhooked Survivor.
That doesn't punish the person on hook for being farmed, but it does punish the unhooker for farming them.
I misunderstood I thought you said if they were too close they lost BT and the person was exposed , I was thinking well that would suck to be dude on the hook in that scenario
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2102819#Comment_2102819
"As soon as their back is turned." This is based off of a relatively common occurrence where the Killer will see someone on BBQ and turn to leave the hook (ie, the opposite of camping) and then a Survivor rushes in to unhook as soon as the Killer turns to leave.
That triggers BT unfairly, as the Killer was not camping and it puts said Killer into a lose-lose. Someone else in a different thread had an excellent idea.
If the Killer is within X distance, BT may be proc'd, but if the Killer has not remained in the area for X seconds, the unhooking Survivor becomes Exposed for X seconds.
This punishes people who make dumb unhooks, but doesn't punish their teammates for being farmed.
With that change you would create a easy 2 down scenario that could be easily exploited, for someone who claims they play solo q you're not taking into account that other survivors have no control over what their team does, I like the changes BHVR introduced I feel like they've hit the nail on the head and that's all that I personally think the perk needed.

Love how high ranking SWF act like they are so amazing. Tbagging, flashlight clicking etc. Most aren’t good at the game and if you weren’t constantly on comms feeding your team info, which btw is going outside the game to gain an advantage, more than likely your whole team would be dead before you even 3 gen. So sick of SWF. Every SWF I encounter acts so high and mighty like they are godS of the game.
Most SWF teams aren't a death squad and they're overly altruistic, I literally 3-4k most of my games but Im also a slugger when I play killer, the problem is people take what happens in game personal and the reality is they aren't caring that you're a person they're just trying to get some laughs in whether they escape or die on hook, the ones that get me are the ones that wanna talk alot on the endgame after a hatch escape like they were a good survivor for finding the hatch or bringing a key, the keys don't bother me but if you bring one and have to use it with half your team dead and barely anything done you've lost any credibility to smack talk

I know exactly what you are after and how they collect their data, and if they do their job then their data will show that nobody is using the perk or they were safe enough to do a gen or heal.
I see no issue and neither should they.
We have an anti tunnel perk. It is called Decisive strike. What survivors want is a FU killer perk where they can do what they want, when they want and not be punished for it.
Again that's NOT what I'm trying to say, example: with your logic we wouldn't have more than one exhaust, aura, or healing perk because why would we need more than one?
Now that DS is nerfed they will see all this gameplay that is going to be considered stale ,repetitive, and unrewarding for both sides, they aren't against tunneling but I'm sure they don't want every single game to involve that sort of gameplay and the more people that advocate for that and ######### on survivors on the here and tell them "just run DS" are gonna be the ones who get them buffed it never fails with this company, and when it happens I swear I'm gonna come back here and copy all these comments your saying and start posting them on your new complaint threads.
