We already have a perk for it. Decisive strike
If you seriously lack the brain cells to understand what I'm trying to say or to understand how the devs collect their data and assess the changes they make, there is no hope for you and I'm done with this convo because it's going nowhere.

Why shouldn't killers Cheer "just run ds" when previously it was exceptionally rare to get a game without it?
Survivors can't abuse it and are crying for an auto obsession so they can take another abusable perk while also having the "threat" of DS. This is stupid and entitled.
If you are being tunnelled (real tunnelling) then start to run the perk again. If it was still at its previous popularity then there would be no issues.
I'm a killer main FYI I don't care about DS I don't need it in a game and only ran it to troll, what I'm saying is if killers keep tunneling and having this attitude about it towards survivor on here YOU'RE gonna be the reason survivor gets buffed or a new perk gets introduced to counteract the gameplay

I don't know much about survivor experince from early DBD as I played only killer, started playing survivor at feb 2017 until then I never played almost any survivor games besides a few early matches to see how they see things.
But from what I remeber, I didn't have problems killing survivors as killers had a lot of broken ######### too, not as broken as the survivor ######### but quite nasty as well. Honestly, it's been so long that it's hard to recall properly but I feel like it was just played so differenlty from what we have today.
Thinking back I'm honestly shocked this game didn't die back then I think the uniqueness is what drove this game to where it is because there was nothing like it out there.

The game wasn't exactly in a healthy state when I started playing too. Just that the infinites were no longer technically infinites and could only just run you for a long period of time. I was still around before EGC, with vault speeds being incredibly slow, vacuum pallets, insta blinds, etc.
I totally agree this game had to be out on console for a year at least before exhaustion was nerfed

I'm aware of all of this. Like I said, I followed the game since beta. Some of what you mentioned was still around when it got released to console. It's not ignorance that makes me post this, but rather the fact that it never seemed that bad at the time and looking back I can acknowledge how poorly designed it all was but I have no lingering emotions.
It's because you weren't in the game during it , I'm usually not a rager in any game but this game literally made me rage when I played the killer side back then because I was a killer main that's what attracted me to the game was I loved horror but had never seen it in a game in this sort of way of course I've played old school games with the horror vibe but this was different, this is the only game I ever picked my keyboard up and smashed it to pieces and walked away , ive only done it once in my life and it was this game that pissed me off that bad to actually do it.

It didn't exist in a sence that basically nobody did it. First month of DBD I rarely saw anyone looping at all. Survivors just run at a pallet, sat there waiting for you and got hit before even dropping a pallet and those were the better ones who knew they can throw down pallets. That happened a lot. There was an occasional looper who kind of knew what to do but even those were really bad compared to loopers we have today.
Besides, once you caught someone once, they almost always died on the first hook and then you killed of the rest with NOED if they managed to finish gens.
I'll admit I wasn't a god at the game or anything and I probably still am not but I started looping like 2 weeks into playing because I realized the weaknesses the killer side had fairly quickly like how long it took them to vault in a chase and how easy it was to stay in one area with like 3 times more pallets back then , but I'll agree with you on the part where if you got caught you were basically dead from a real facecamp where you couldnt unhook from the sides and BT or ds didn't exist yet so it was a bad situation for the survivor on hook

Oh god, I had forgotten about the original McCote meme that we made him eat and never forget. You know how we say "Pretty good job so far" now adays? Back then it was "I mean, you have to have skill to pull off anything resembling an infinite". My god, we never made him forget that back then, especially once we started showing the devs the video evidence that true infinite loops really did exist in the game back then.
I know right!! Lmao 🤣 people gave almo ######### for saying object is fine but what about Cote saying infinites were balanced and took skill?
-
@Kebek did you seriously just say looping didn't exist? Lmao I'm sorry but what game were you playing ? I've been here since release also

It was harder, but not that much. The quality of survivors has always stayed more or less the same. The difference is that now middle and low tier killers can have a bit of hope fighting strong SWF teams, whereas before you could only do it with something like Nurse, Spirit, Billy and Huntress.
I agree with you most of the time but on this one I would have to say that saying "not by much" is a flat out lie lol nowadays it's a walk in the park compared to 2016

I've been following this game since Beta, I say following because I didn't have a PC and purchased it a few months after console release. So I was still around for things like vacuum pallets and old ds. My problem is I've seen others complaining about how easy killer is nowadays and how it used to be much harder in the past.
Other than old mettle of man and the occasional cheater ruining the experience, I don't even remembering complaining about vacuum pallets. Would it because I was still new that I didn't really see it as hard or are just the other veterans exaggerating?
Mettle of man wasn't a thing yet , imagine two windows at shack, double pallet jungle gyms, recovering exhaustion while running, no entity blocked on windows, when you Sabo a hook it was gone, when you Sabo trappers traps they were gone for the game making him powerless and if they Sabo all hooks the basement was all you had, vacuum pallets were a thing , Ds could be used immediately when going down and the stun was 8 seconds, insta blind flashlights, brand new parts were basically insta generators and if everyone brought one 4 gens popped in 8 seconds lol etc.... I could go on

So why is strengthening a new character not an option? Because as long as there is one tap for a shot (like deathslinger OR Huntress), this killer will be one step lower.

-
Big Bot plays ladies and gentlemen, literally wastes an hour and twenty minutes waiting for tinkerer to proc instead of ending the game and moving on
-
Honestly there is no way to perfectly balance this game
-
I'm not a DS advocate but I can tell you that all these people tunneling their little hearts out and hollering "just run DS it's still a good perk" are part of the problem and with the way solo play has been I wouldn't be surprised to see a new perk brought out or survivors being buffed in some way to defend tunneling better , I personally haven't had an issue but the proof to what I'm saying has been all over the forums people complaining about being tunneled and then being told to run a perk they have to buy a character just to get in order to defend it , you reap what you sow....if survivors continue to get tunneled at they rate they are don't be upset when they get buffed to defend it
-
I think they're making enough money that they don't really care now, when the whole game is busted and people are still spending 10 dollars on a outfit anyway it sends the message that were going to keep paying them what they want regardless of the quality.

A milisecond self heal barely ever mattered. But now it does matter.
And that's why I love the DS change because now if they go to a corner and self-care they get punished for it , DS doesn't deactivate if someone else is healing you until you are fully healed and if you're fresh off hook self-care probably isn't the best idea anyway.

That's when I decide to attempt a 4 man slug, if they want to end the game by farming teammates I'll give them a hand to get there faster.

Steam charts kinda show the opposite. According to steam's community hub, more than 49k players are online now. Thing is this is exactly what the casual playerbase is made of: people who come, people who go
I've been here since release with over 9,000 hours and devotion 35 maybe it's just me starting to get burned out is why I have this opinion, most of the people I used to play with have quit this game and moved on to something different

Idk man even survivor is starting to become a snoozefest I really don't blame people for starting to leave the game

Playing killer is starting to become boring for me , I started as a killer and I've got over 5000 hrs into just the killer side , I'm not saying that it's boring because nothing is going on but more of no new killers have caught my attention , we haven't had any licensed killers since PH. Also everytime either side gets anything that's remotely considered strong it gets nerfed into the ground making for stale gameplay that's extremely repetitive. People are getting tired of the same ol same ol and BHVR having lackluster events and chapter releases with no maps or any good perks to shake the meta, but that goes back to even if they did people would cry and get it nerfed, this community complaining about every little thing is what's gonna kill the game

Other Players in this forums mentioned it too so i guess its just you dont notice them...?

Survivor is close to equal on pc or console , pc has a slight edge due to sensitivity and frames but just because someone is on a 5000 dollar pc it doesn't give them skills at the game and is pointless without experience, the only real side where there's a noticable difference is killer because not having the sensitivity they need on console hinders certain killers from performing as they should and pc survivors who are top tier can outmaneuver and pick them apart due to their limitations, but I'm not saying console killers are bad, some killers can be on par with some of the top tier in the game even while being held back by their hardware but that's few and far between just due to circumstances out of their control.

I'll ask you to re-read the definition of an exploit:
"In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, speed or level design etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers."
It doesn't really matter whether a player is aware they're using an exploit or not, it's still an exploit.
I understand that and I can't argue that based on what the devs have said I'm just saying that it's so easy to do while you're in a match and it has been a thing since oni was released I wouldn't necessarily say someone is cheating because it's only achievable due to the cap being bugged and not working as intended and not because the player did anything to gain an unfair advantage, with survivors 360ing in your face it's fairly easy to overshoot the intended range without trying, they should disable oni and blight until it's fixed I'm not playing them anymore because it's too easy to accidentally do that I'm not a blight or oni main so I'm not the best but I do enjoy playing them

At the same time, stretched res still remains unfixed for years.
The j flick has been in there since oni released which has been a pretty long time , you can look up oni flick videos and even though Scott bashes the flick, he made a video of himself doing it last year, that's why I complained is because they've waited this long to address it meanwhile people have been doing this the whole time not knowing it was an exploit.

It's not a "very strong term" at all, it's literally just the correct one. By definition it's an exploit:
"In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, speed or level design etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers."
I would say it's more of a bug because think about it, you're chasing a survivor who's about to turn a corner during rush you're gonna try to get a swing in so it wasn't a wasted rush , you know how easy it is to do that on accident? All you have to have is high sensitivity and be into the game trying to catch someone and because he's able to turn more than he's supposed to be able to it's giving some people an advantage, exploit is a strong term because there are people who j flick and don't even realize they are because theyre not doing anything but literally moving their mouse in a direction to get a hit , it's absolutely the devs fault for not fixing the turn cap sooner and letting it go on for this long

I really don't see how people are missing the point, it has nothing to do with the DPI but the fact Blight is supposed to be locked to turning 90 degrees an can go further when you're not supposed to.
It may be unintended by the devs and I could care less if it got removed tomorrow, but with it just pertaining to having your sensitivity up and using kb&m it's easy to overclock a swing past 90 and not even think about it during the game , I've been doing what's considered a flick on Oni and I had no idea it was an exploit because I'm not doing anything to gain the advantage but sliding my sensitivity to 100 in the options menu provided to me. Now that I know they're basically bugged and you can do that I'm not even playing those killers because I don't want to hear people complain I'm cheating I'll just wait for the fix so there are no excuses.
-
Well I sincerely do apologize if that's how you're taking it that's not how I meant it as I explained earlier I was just pissed someone called me a cheater while using oni for my sensitivity being up to 100 and then reading people complain it's cheating because console couldn't do it

Blight has been my second most played killer since his addition since Nurse. Blight doesn't need it and it's an exploit not readily available to all players. Blight was good without the exploit and he will be good after. If you didn't understand how to play him even before the FOV changes sorry that's on you. He's one of the strongest killers in the game capable of utilizing most perks and has strong map pressure. Blight doesn't need this exploit.
Also nothing skilled about using a macro or a script to take advantage of an oversight the devs made. Thing is the exploit is barely used even until recently and nothing changed. Nothing will change when it's fixed unless they somehow botch Blight fixing this by changing something else indirectly.
I'm not using a macro or anything and I was called an exploiter for having my sensitivity up, I get that he's not intended to turn that way but j flicking isn't even hard to do and if you play the blight or oni and you use their power I'm sure you've j flicked without even realizing that's what you did just due to how the sensitivity is , the thing is the devs meant to cap him at a 180 turn but it didnt work (shocker) , nobody is a cheater for using it and the devs are the ones responsible because they haven't made it an issue for a long time and haven't done anything to stop it no hotfix or anything. I wouldn't care if they removed it tomorrow because I main nurse anyway but I would like to play oni and blight with my sensitivity up without hearing people cry about it or insult me like I've modded files

Please man just stop and read for a second.
You're using a higher sensitivity on Blight or Oni. This allows you to turn well over the intended cap up to 180 degrees and beyond.
The reason why is because there is a frame in-between the rush and lunge parts of their powers where the camera has normal functionality, allowing these crazy angles.
It is NOT intended for you to actually use this frame to turn your camera 180+ degrees, something that can only be done on PC too. It's an oversight in their power design that people have figured out how to use to gain unintended outcomes with a killer power. There is a reason why Oni and Blight have their turning limited whilst in their powers.
It. Is. An. Exploit.
Then they should disable those killers because I'm doing nothing to modify anything I'm simply playing a killer with my sensitivity up and getting called a cheater, I'm just not even playing those killers and sticking to my nurse because this community is ridiculous to insult someone for having a high sensitivity is absurd

It's an exploit, there's no need for the mental gymnastics about it and there's no need to 'justify' yourself and act like the people who take issue with exploiters are targetting you personally or something.
Until the devs say people are being banned for doing it, the only reason people have to make threads like this is because they don't want an exploit patched
I honestly could care less if they patched it tomorrow because I main a killer that can't abuse that, my issue is when I decide I feel like playing oni and just because my sensitivity is up I get called a cheater for winning when if I had lost I would've been told to git gud or some other bullshit in the chat

Flicking 180 degrees isn't something you should be able to do, and doing so using the one-frame of non-locked is unintentional and an exploit.
Again allow me to quote, word for word, from McLean, the developer who worked on Blight.
"He has a turn restriction in place for a reason."
So having my sensitivity at 100 while playing killer is an exploit because they ######### up on blight to where without modifying anything or turning up DPI I can somehow turn 180 degrees? Is that what I'm getting from this ? Because I've not modified anything

You're an exploiter because you're modifying something to gain an unintended result in a game. Textbook definition of an exploit. There's literally no arguing with it, just own it, you're using an exploit because you're not supposed to be able to turn your camera that much during Blight's rush in 1 frame. I don't care if people use it but it's getting really stupid seeing all these justifications for it and trying to say it isn't an exploit when it quite literally is. It doesn't matter if it is or isn't, you're not getting banned for it and it's up to the devs to remove it or not.
But I'm not modifying anything but putting my sensitivity at max how is that cheating? I was just called an exploiter for a j flick when Im not doing anything other than what's being given to me as an option I fail to understand how I'm exploiting for having 100 sensitivity on
-

How is it an exploit for having my default sensitivity at 100 and nothing else ? I was accused of using j flick just yesterday and that's all I did, it's not my fault my sensitivity is higher due to the platform I'm on, again how am I exploiting? I guess every pc killer should turn their sensitivity down to 50 because it's not fair and an "exploit"

It's the devs that limit sensitivity, not the game, it's 3rd party mouse software that allows us to do insane sens it has nothing to do with hardware lmao.
Well they should be mad at the devs then because it's not cheating just because someone's game runs better that's my point , these people saying it's exploiting when PC by default can do things console can't , how am I a exploiter for having my sensitivity turned up in game and it performing in a way they can't replicate? Just because the devs limit what console can do doesn't make me a cheater for pc sensitivity working better than intended with certain killers
And I'm talking default sensitivity at 100 being double what console has without any extra modification or gaming mouse
