Yeah like @Tzeentchling9 said this trick is likely only gonna work on lower ranking survivors or just ones that don't have enough common sense to see what you are trying to do. Either way it is still a strategy and I have done it a few times myself.
-
I mean I don't use self-care ( I replace it with some other perk to help find teammates like empathy/Bond ) but starting off its quite nice, just don't get too addicted to it.
-
I mean I only just got spirit after having 200+ hours. Even though that could have been easily shortened by not buying stuff from the store, I really don't see need to complain cause atleast they are giving your an option to grind for it in the first place.
-
Usually around 5-10 minutes but the survivors who join most time have garbage connection to me so its mostly just a waste of time as it takes a while longer to get survivors that have good connection to me.
-
Yeah, it's pretty sad. I mean I saw someone DC over freddy, it's not even like they were downed in the first couple of seconds into the game, no the middle of the game, like really?

@TheRoyalOwl I play mostly killer, but I KNOW survivors need something. People keep saying the Nurse and Billy are the only viable killers, yet people might still choose the lesser viable killers despite it.
Survivors need something to make them generally more unique so more fun builds can be made with them.
I will agree with you on the Dev part, the ranking system is a mess.
Well you kinda pointed out the problem with this in the first paragraph. It will likely make survivors that are already popular, cause of their perks, more popular because of their passives.
People will use the other survivors for their looks but there will be less of them, and I really don't want to see more megs and claudettes than I have to.
-
Well no dur, you make fun of the fact they "will make survivors meta", but having survivors passive abilities be linked with their perks will absolutely leave some survivors better than others.
If the percentage is little than it literally isn't gonna matter to most people.
If it's even close to an ok percentage it might be considered when making a build.
I really don't like idea especially when the developers don't know who to even balance the ranking system.
-
Ok can people stop making the same threads. It's quite annoying to see like 10 different threads on survivor passive abilities, it's not a good idea because its gonna break the balance even more.
-
Tbh the perk actually isn't that good of a perk. From what I know it only gives an extra 8-12 seconds to gens and healing. Much better off with ruin.

The animation is awesome, being slugged for 3 minutes or so just to see it isnt
I dont wanna waste 3 minutes, sorry, DCing for me isnt an option
to hell with that crap
Oh I'm sorry, but having survivors that would hold the game hostage by hiding from the killer also isn't fun. And guess what? That doesn't have a timer...

Then why couldn't they?
Cause it is a thing, I haven't had a survivor do it to me, but I've had killers do if before, you just gotta stand in the right place to block it.
-
1.) people aren't gonna remember these names.
2.) Just because they act bad, doesn't mean you should name shame them.
-
Problem is, is that some of these effects are garbage and some are much better. And it just so happens that basing boosts on their perks makes the survivors with the meta perks more likely to be played. And I don't really want to see more megs and claudettes than I already do.
-
This isn't fair towards the killer though.
As sometimes survivors will rage quit over the tiniest of things. This would also most likely rise the DC rates as ,the survivor Disconnecting knows they are gonna hurt the killer that they got annoyed over, giving them more power by DCing.
-
Tbh all of the huntress' perks need reworks.
I rarely see it mostly cause it's a more garbage version of ruin, as it requires you to hook 2+ to really get the effects, and it notifies the survivors way to quick. It's not that bad at 5 tokens, you just have to pay attention to the middle of the screen a lot more. So I could see a buff/rework working.
-
@Claudettehunter said:
about that grammar I'm just using text-to-speech and I'm sure there's a way to find out if if the disconnect is intentional or not it doesn't seem like it be that hard to find out I guaranteed the penalty timer will help fix it
Not yet there is.
Once dedicated servers come out, than they will be able to crack down on people who are DCing on purpose.

Nope, because you have infinite Bond at the beginning of the trial, but without the aura reading back. Furthermore, you can fix broken links, so overall, the buff outweighs the nerf.
Ah ok, just the way it was worded confused me.
-
Isnt the nerf for aftercare make it useless?
-
Now I really don't get this comparison between hag and legion as hag is dependent on the survivors tripping a trap, and legion can only really use his power right when hes found a survivor.
But i do think that people overreacted about his nerf. Yes it did hurt him, but he having the increased feral frenzy time makes him deadly on small to medium maps.
Also his increased movement speed helps him end chases faster.
The only thing about him is that hitting a survivor twice is pointless as 1.) It gives them a speed boost 2.) It drains your power 3.) You can literally just end it manually and completely bypass the reasons above.
-
Yeah I agree with @TheBean, a ton of stuff has been leaked but nothing of a survivor, I dont expect there to be one.

@WaffleFalafel, I read a summary of the Q&A and saw no mention of it. I follow the forums quite regularly and this is the first time I've been aware of it. I read through the 1st page of bugs and saw no mention of it.
Considering the meaningless twaddle that the devs get tagged into, I think that something which prevents scoring for one sides' PRIMARY objective is worth bringing to their attention.
I thank you.
@Peanits @not_Queen , keep up the good work and have a lovely day! :)
They are just telling you that they know and that it will be fix you don't have to be ass about it.
-
To basically sum up what @Boss said. The hit boxes are the working as intended, but the animations aren't.
-
I don't really like the idea of crossplay, because people on computer are going to have a much better chance at winning than people on console, and Sony doesn't like crossplay.
-
Really any killer besides huntress benefits well from it.
-
Well the thing about these sort of issues is because they are unpredictable, unlike say a window not working.
They probably are looking in to it, just hard to find the source I from what i know.
-
You people are a bunch of babies.
If you don't like getting DSed, DONT TUNNEL! It's as simple as that. It's not like they are changing it back to old DS.
+ head on is that great so this would help it.
-
I think wglf or "we'll make it" would probably benefit more from it, as borrowed time has its purpose.
Mostly because it'll be a bit redundant if all three had it.
-
Until the last patch i had this issue just while phasewalkin with Spirit, but actually i nearly hear no footsteps at all.
The sounds in this game are just all over the place.
From what I have heard they seem to break the sound in most patches.
-
You can look at characters lore by using left arrow(?) ( not sure if that's what it's called ).
I'm not sure why you can't look at store items while waiting though, would be nice.
-
For killer it's been bad, but survivor has been ok ( besides one game where literally every survivor DCed to plague of all things ).
-
Yeah, and you need to be running otherwise you can't use it.
-

It's not me, it's you. Sounds like you have a problem with your internet connection.
I was playing off a USB hotspot for a bit and didn't realize the USB cable had a bad wire in it that would randomly drop the network just as you describe.
Without details about your internet connection I(or someone else) can't help. Wired or wifi, distance if wifi, recent changes to computer (i.e. Network drivers).
The problem is that it's an actual issue. It's not just mine as many people have been having this problem since the plague dropped. I guess it's not quite common but still here

Like I said, it's like a mini SB and in many cases, gets used incorrectly. It's heavily reliant on latency and timing, which not everyone has the second down well. I wouldn't consider it a second chance perk, but I wouldn't consider Head On a second chance perk, too. It's not the intent of it, but it has a similar one time affect and both can be somewhat inconsistent. Of those three, this is the closest to the "second time" perk you're talking about, though I wouldn't consider DH a second time perk, but something to be used in chase like Brutal Strength for killer.
Deliverance - not only are you wasting a perk slot on a one-time perk that can only be used on the first hook, you need to save someone, too. People often rush the hooks, so gl doing that. Like I said, it's mostly to counter the solo experience of being left on the hook and dying because no one can be bothered to save. It isn't a second chance perk 'cause that would be like saying survivors only have one hook. It's getting you off the hook and being self sustaining, but it's by no means free or a second chance perk.
Unbreakable is, once again, about self reliance, basically. It's about getting up off the ground by yourself because no one else can. It isn't a second chance perk unless you're suggesting you belong on the ground once you get downed. It's a perk to work around for sluggers (who aren't very common, mind you).
You including these two makes me wonder what you believe second chance perks to be tbh. That's like including Bloodhound or Predator as aura reading perks.
Dude it's second chance, it gives you another chance after you failed.
DH you failed to keep away from the killer so get to boost a little ahead for a SECOND CHANCE.
Deliverance you failed to keep from being hooked so you get off the hook for a SECOND CHANCE.
Unbreakable you failed you stay in the injured state and got downed, and the killer left you on the ground. You get up off the ground for a guess what? SECOND CHANCE.
Timing doesn't mean that much as ever second chance perk as some to it be useful.

I think they should probably just ditch the perk and add one of the perks that all survivors can have to bill, for PC players.
Tbh I think the perk needs so major reworking and i dont expect it to 1.) Be done soon, and 2.) Be done correctly

One exit gate is powered
In other words only one door would be powered so "I mean you can gaurd that one door but what if they find the hatch or just do the other door?" is irrelevant.
Quite sure they didn't mean that the other door isn't operable otherwise Brady would have said so.
Also @Brady I do think that it shouldn't be obscenely hard to get away after EGC starts as one survior, I just dont think this is the way, as it seems too easy for survivor.
I think @NMCKE idea is good but the already good killers nurse, billy, and spirt aren't gonna be effected only the slow ones making them even harder to play as.

Dead Hard, Unbreakable, Deliverance aren't second chance perks. DH is a dodge, which can be denied and relies heavily on timing. It's like a controlled SB that doesn't go very far in the best of situations. Deliverance is a gimmick perk that gets you tunneled 'cause how dare you try to get an achievement or bring a counter to playing solo. I can't believe you. Also you'll likely not be able to pull it off, anyway. If you're caught before a save, it's a dead perk slot. If someone's right on you for the save, dead perk slot. Unbreakable is a gimmick perk to get you off the ground in the rare occasion of a slug. @TheRoyalOwl
Besides that they most literally give you a second chance in a dire situation.
DH ---> In a chase and you are injured and you use it to either close a gap to an escape route or dodge a killers attack.
Deliverance ----> allows you to get off a hook getting you back into the game like having adrenaline while downed.
Unbreakable ---> let's you get back into the fray, without needing others help.

How I would of like the EGC to go down as the Last Survivor:
Being the last Survivor remaining triggers the End Game Collapse.
The following happens:
- One exit gate is powered
- The hatch spawns. The hatch now can only spawn when all 5 generators are repaired, or if the last Survivor remains.
- The 2 minute timer remains. The Killer cannot close the hatch.
- After 1 minute, the hatch closes and only the 1 exit gate remains powered.
Not only does this give a chance for The Last Survivor, it sets a time limit on it therefore causing forced strategy and decision making, while attempting to give a Killer a chance as well.
So basically the survivor almost always wins?
I mean you can gaurd that one door but what if they find the hatch or just do the other door?
So you go to the other door to find out, Oh never mind they were just waiting at the open door for you to leave.
Just accept that when you are the last survivor the odds are stacked against you for obvious reasons, and it should be unlikely you make it out, again for obvious reasons.
-
For people who don't know, if you have a lower rank in your lobby it usually likes to match up with lower killers, and ik this is true because I did it will a rank 18 friend, we got a rank 16-17 when we were rank 14 and under
Not sure if that's what they were talking about when they said toxic, but it might be.
-
@Ghost_Potato said:
If comms then killer sees a sound explosion the whole time every time the mic has input. Only fair if the swf know where killer is at all times then talking lets killer know where you are too!
No, just no. Not only can this encourage toxic behavior from survivors that are really good at looping and just want to torment the killer, but also makes this feature completely useless. I'm not gonna reveal my location just so I can say something.
-
I mean it gives a third chance to win. Before if the killer found it first than it was likely gonna be a hatch standoff. Now the killer closes off that second chance and gives you a third on so stop complaining and start opening those doors.

Tell me the "12" survivor 2 chance perks
Decisive strike, MoM, Borrowed time, dead hard, adrenaline, unbreakable, and Deliverance.
If you consider exhaustion perks second chance than you can add a few more.
Not 12 but still more than killer

MoM: and if you are a M1 Killer, hit them twice to down them for the hook and don't let them be rescued = MoM denied.
Yeah, but the swf team is just gonna do gens while you stand there doing nothing but gaurding.
Also good luck piping by camping

Probably more like small nerfs to the killers.

Not for half a year! more like a month or 2-3 weeks.
It was more than a month definitely.
I don't know about this as they seem to need killers right away, but rarely survivors ( hence decisive strike and MoM ). And even with after the month they probably aren't gonna get the nerf/buff right.
