  • Only if they also get some facial animations.

Have you ever seen Trapper with any of his mostly maskless masks? It looks so weird (in a not creepy way) with him just vacantly staring into space as he gets stunned, blinded, cleans his weapon, or Moris a Survivor.

If they're unwilling to/incapable of giving Legion a passable facial animation rig then no. It'd look too weird.

  • Is it though? Is it reeeeeally?

It won't be answered here, unless it was information they were already planning to give out. They never answer questions about upcoming content of any sort until they're ready to announce it officially.

I mean, Peanits dropped a screenshot of the reworked Ironworks a tad early in a relevant questioning thread.

It's possible, but, obviously, not probable, the same could happen again. Especially if the answer is just "No".

  • I mostly just miss The Stalker and her stag skull mask, but yea I'm a little bitter that I'll never get to see what her Prestige mask looks like with her white cloak and body armor cosmetic.

Even though I suck at both Keyboard and Mouse controls and at fast paced shooters, I had so much fun trying to alternatively snipe people from across the map or sneak up on them.

    RIP Deathgarden

  • This would be both neat and helpful; but it'd require either 5 POVs to be recorded during a match or for the match itself to be recorded and able to be replayed after the game has finished.

It think as helpful as this could be, it'd also take a LOT of work for the DbD team to implement and I'm not sure it'd be useful enough to justify that.

I'm for it, but I don't know if it's very feasible.

  • SURVIVOR

    1. Just Pebble - Just Pebble.

    2. All Eyes - Dark Sense, Object of Obsession, Déjà Vu, and Kindred. -Be wary of the tunnel.

    3. Shhhh! - Quick & Quiet, Iron Will, Calm Spirit, and Balanced Landing or Urban Evasion.

    4. I Love Gens! - Better Together, Prove Thyself, Déjà Vu, and Detective's Hunch.

    5. Survivor Watcher - Bond, Empathy, Kindred, and Open Handed.

    6. Oh Darn - No One Left Behind, Hope, We'll Make It, and Left Behind. -The order here is important.

    7. Suggestive - Dead Hard, Slippery Meat, Self-Care, and Ace In The Hole.

    8. I'm Tired - Head On, Lithe, Dead Hard, and Balanced Landing.

    9. Hi Tired, I'm Dad Meg - Sprint Burst, Fixated, Hope, and Vigil.

    10. The Meta - No Mither and Self-Care/Inner Strength/For The People/Second Wind. -Only two perks allowed, it'd be too OP otherwise.

    KILLER

    1. A Man And His Dogs - Insidious, Beast of Prey, Bloodhound, and Territorial Imperative.

    3. Here Comes The Pain Train - Brutal Strength, Enduring, Spirit Fury, and Fire Up. -Best when listening to either X Gonna Give It To Ya or Here Comes The Pain Train while playing.

    4. I Hate Gens! - Overcharge, Pop Goes The Weasel, Brutal Strength, and Surveillance.

    5. Stay Out Of My Presence - Unnerving Presence, Overwhelming Presence, Coulrophobia, and Monitor & Abuse.

    6. Backpack Attack - Mad Grit, Iron Grasp, Agitation, and Unrelenting.

    7. Aura, Aura, Aura, Aura! - BBQ & Chili, Bitter Murmur, Nurse's Calling, and Deerstalker/Territorial Imperative.

    8. Obsessive - All Obsession perks; your pick.

    9. If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It - Sloppy Butcher, Blood Echo, Bloodhound, and Thanatophobia. -Be sure you use Hemorrhage and Mangled inducing add-ons with this.

    10. Shaman [Insert Killer Name] - All Hex perks! Your pick.

  • This is a question I'd like to see answered.

Even though we all know @LetsPlayTogether is probably right; I'd like to see some official confirmation.

  • "Bonfire ahead , but visions of miscreant"

  • You're too late; someone already posted a screenshot of 4 Rank 1 Survivors facing a Rank 20 Killer.

Don't worry, this is still pretty good though.

    Jokes aside here's the explanation:

Rank based matchmaking happens at first, but the longer it takes to find a nearby match the more willing the game is to accept ranks far outside the scope of the rest of the players.

This is further increased if the lobby had all five players and one or more back out at the last second.

And so voila: 4 Rank 1s vs a Rank 10!

  • I mean: I'd kill to play as Huntress with a Chainsaw, throw Hatchets as Pig, or see a Nurse setting bear traps everywhere, but no.

Powers are designed expressly for a single Killer to use. This idea would take so much work to implement and it would cheapen the game overall by making Killers into just skins.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

A better question would be "do we want Jason in here?"

His game was killed by the law suit. If that crap happens again they won't be able to do anything with him. He'll be put on hold until it's resolved. Unless the devs make him strong(very unlikely) he'll probably be another killer for survivors to bully. Do we really want to put Jay through that?

Well at least in this game he can't be tbagged by some rich kid in a speedo as he's being killed by Tommy Jarvis and some punk rocker in a moldy grey sweater.

  • We don't even know who it is my dudette/dude. Just chill.

There'll be plenty of time to rain on the 4th year anniversary parade and shout "I knew it! I knew they'd suck!" when it actually starts.

Until then why don't you cross your fingers for a licensed Spirit or Plague (i.e. a Killer that changes the meta with their perks and/or power).

So why'd he literally say not to take his word as gospel truth, if he has insider information?

    Because things change.

He thought the last Killer would be The Gunslinger because that was it's WIP name up until shortly before the chapter's release.

I don't play this game enough to do that though.

  • There aren't any.

Back before the DS nerf(?), there used to be a general honor system. At least in the Green Ranks.

You played with the other person's fun in mind, and they'd try to play with your's in mind.

No DS, no NOED. No Mori'ing off first hook, no instaheals. No genrushing, no tunnelling. No slugging the 3rd person to deny Hatch, and if you got a 0k the Survivors would offer to let you hook them.

They weren't hard unchanging rules; just players trying to let the other person have fun too.

I don't know if it's just the broken matchmaking or influx of newer players or what, but the honor code is as outdated as using Iron Grasp to counter DS.

Green Ranks, Purple Ranks, and Red Ranks don't mean anything. One is as likely to be 'unfair' or 'fair' as the other.

    It's a free-for-all.

  • Correlation is not indicative of causation.

Just because you pipped when using No Mither and depipped without it, doesn't mean No Mither is helping you pip.

  • Still think you should bring attention to this problem.

If your internet is fine and it's just DBD messing up, the devs should know.

  • I just chose this for giggles.

I play Solo Survivor usually, but I do have friends that I play with from time to time in a duo or trio.

  • Provided you can actually get the lean mechanic to work, Ghostface Caught On Tape is actually broken: you can fully Stalk someone in about a second.

Outdoor Security camera is pretty nutty too. If you combo it with Chewed Pen you can exploit any snowball opportunity the Survivors give you, since you'll see where they all are.

It also basically guarantees a 4k unless they use a Key or DC

Truly, I've noticed an increased demand for that nowadays (more unique animations [and updating old ones])

Updating old mori animations, having unique breaking walls / closing hatch animations for different killers, one thing that I've always looked for are separate item animations for survivors. Ever notice how if you're holding an item and you perform an action like say, vaulting a window, the item straight up disappears? I really wish there were separate animations for survivors holding items so if you're vaulting a window with a medkit or a toolbox that medkit or toolbox actually stays in your offhand while the character uses their other hand to push them over and forward through a window. Or whenever you're using a medkit you actually open it up and pull out bandages or when using a toolbox you pull out a screwdriver.

These kinds of things would just make the game feel overall more polished and finished, considering a few of these haven't been changed since the game first released in June of 2016.

Ever notice how if you're holding an item and you perform an action like say, vaulting a window, the item straight up disappears?

Yea, it basically prevents anyone from pulling off a window fake on me if they have an item, since it vanishes to the shadow realm as they start to vault. It's kinda silly.

I agree that probably my biggest problem is that so many of the animations both haven't both improved in a couple years and are just copied into different scenarios for different characters. Just imagine if every Survivor had separate chase run, run, walk, crouch, and repair animations.

It's not a huge deal obviously and not something that should take priority over fixing matchmaking, but it's like with New Léry's - the little details are really amazing when they exist.

  • I searched Google but to no avail. I mostly just found a bunch of Legion fanart and bugs from 2017.

I did find one thing of note though; from a report on our very own forums. Hopefully it brings some small measure of joy.

  • I think the reel time should be faster and his aiming time slower.

Part of my issue with Deathslinger is that he's basically undodgeable since he can aim and fire in less than a second. You don't dodge Deathslingers, they miss. It's not fun when your input is pointless.

Additionally, reel time as Killer is wasted time; you're just stationary staring at one Survivor unable to act for a hot second. It's also a way for the Survivor you hit to find a way to render your successful usage of your power meaningless. It's not fun to win a "you lose" trophy.

Both are unfun at a conceptual level IMO.

This said I'm not really sure Deathslinger would work if you changed those two things in those ways. They're a big part of his power's core design and what make him distinct from Huntress.

  • No, you're not alone. There are also plenty of people who find Legion's power annoying, both to use and face.

That said I wouldn't hold my breath for a rework.

  • Really? I don't see any problem with the total BP cap.

You can just spend them when you get that high and you can use the SoS and now saved up challenges if you're looking to Insta-P3 new characters.

As for in-game bloodpoint gains, I think they should just remove the category limits so you can reach the max 32k limit easier. That way you get 32k worth of boldness or brutality and nothing else you still get 32k.

They could maybe buff it up to 40k or 48k and you could basically end the abysmal grind this game has.

This actually sounds like a great idea (changing the break animation), sort of similar to how they added an animation for Dead Hard so you could better more clearly tell when it was being used.

Yea; even if BS doesn't get buffed, it'd be nice to see a new animation.

The more unique animations the better IMO.

The problem with the Nun as a killer is that she is actually some kind of demon that took the form of a nun for... whatever reason IDK I never watched the movies just quickly skimmed the wiki. I'm not sure if the Entity would be cool with that. Yes Demo is in the game, but Demo is just a creature from another dimension not a demon or something kind of thing that could potentially rival the Entity. It's more of a dog let off the leash.

The Entity is more akin to a Lovecraftian Old One. It wouldn't be rivalled by something like a demon (I don't think? I'm sketchy on how strong the Nun is, but if it gets beaten by humans I can't think the Entity would be threatened by it).

That said, a demon would also probably be hard to control.

And practically have some people never being able to enter a game because their ping is higher than 50, even though games up to 100 ping are just fine as they are? No thanks, I rather have 1 specific killer being temporarily locked than having to wait 1 hour in matchmaking because people dont like the 60 ping that I currently have due to folding covid proteins and uploading data to research centers in the background(and I am certain I am not the only one doing that), which practically has no effect on the connection and gameplay, but connection elitists will try to dodge regardless. Let alone that you'd have to apply that same rule to survivors too and killers who see 50+ ping will dodge aswell.

It used to be this way (sans showing Killer ping, but that was because Killer's were the host), and people didn't dodge that much then. If we re-implemented it, I don't think that suddenly thousands more people would constantly dodge now.

As for queues, I'm not sure you've looked at it, but how much of your time is spent searching for a lobby vs. waiting for someone to join your lobby? I find that there's usually a Survivor in a lobby within 10 seconds of someone leaving, but I'm in NA. Maybe it's different elsewhere.

In any case, I think this is a much better solution than saying someone can't play a specific Killer because they or someone else in their lobby has a bad connection.

  • This was a thing before the hotfix patch and it's frickin' annoying.

At least rampaging so I can fix the bug AND be ballerina Bubba is fun.

    @Speshul_Kitten

I haven't had that one happen to me yet, but the one at the hook I literally hooked the person, started to rev my chainsaw to go away and I couldn't go anywhere. Then of course I get the good ole "Nice camping that one 1k" 🤣 ...

I've had both happen to me and I've managed to luckily break free of both.

I got stuck in a pallet as Hillbilly and stuck on a hook as Legion.

As a Hillbilly I was able to free myself when one of the tbagging, flashlighting Survivors hopped on the pallet while Injured. I grabbed them and was freed.

As Legion I just kept lunge attacking until I finally broke free. The person on the hook managed to get saved before 2nd state thankfully.

  • How about we let players play who they want to play and instead let Survivors see the Killer's ping pre-game, so they can dodge the lobby if it's too crazy for them.

  • Survivors hit by a Hatchet suffer from the Oblivious status effect for 60 seconds and will hear the Huntress Lullaby as if she was adjacent to them.

    Reduce Hatchet count by 2.

  • You know, it'd be nice if people could actually use these threads to discuss the topic; not just repeatedly attack people with different opinions.

    Ugh.

Anyway, AFK'ing is reportable. The Wraith in question can be reported, and I should hope OP did so and used the post-game chat dialogue as evidence.

Iridescent Shards and experience points by extension should be based on something besides just how long you're in a game. Not only is it a little silly it leads to situations like this; where people farm them by just standing still as Killer all game.

Aside from this I don't what else there is to discuss here. We can't exactly forcibly disconnect and give time out bans to Killers for standing still too long when:

1.) There are bugs that can trap players inside solid objects while they're playing the game.

2.) It causes the same problem as the issue it's trying to address: namely making a match boring and pointless for Survivors.

There are systems in place to punish the AFK Wraith. Use them and move on.

  • I don't think it needs a huge buff; but it could do with a tweak or two to make it worth bringing on Killers besides Clown and Doctor.

Also, while this is outside the scope of the poll, I think it should change the breaking animation into one kick/smack instead of two. It'd look cool and make the perk easier to identify for Survivors - so they wouldn't get caught too off guard by a buffed Brutal Strength if they're paying attention.

  • Stolen Sketch Book, Mural Sketch, Etched Ruler, Scratched Ruler, and Iridescent Button are the only good add-ons Legion has.

    -

Legion Pin and Defaced Smiley Pin both discourage or prevent healing: which is the only way Legion can generate any stall. Like all the buttons, they also only apply after chaining Frenzy hits: so you can't just quickly or reliably apply them to a Survivor if they just split up to counter your power.

Smiley Face Pin applies Blindness. It's about as useful as that suggests: not at all.

In short the two buttons with meaningful status effects are not only difficult to use, they encourage Survivors to avoid healing and just focus on generators when they do work.

    -

Joey's Mixtape and Cold Dirt reduce the Feral Frenzy cooldown duration by one second when stacked. That's their ONLY effect by the way. You go from DS'ing yourself to pallet stunning yourself whenever you use your power.

Julie's Mixtape is just a worse version of Joey's.

    -

Stacked, Filthy and Nasty Blade increase the time it takes to fully mend by 4 seconds.

Thanatophobia has a more effective slow down and we all know how much that stops Survivors from doing generators.

Like the buttons, these add-ons only help if you're hitting multiple people with your power. If you're hitting one person and chasing them they're doing nothing for you.

So once again, Survivors just splitting up makes these add-ons completely useless.

    -

Friendship Bracelet, Never Sleep Pills, and Susie's Mixtape all increase your Killer Instinct range. They do not help you reach the people you see though, so they're only good for tracking.

BUT to activate them you have to find a Survivor. Instead of leaving an Injured Survivor to chase after a Survivor that you may or may not be able to find, you're better off just trying to hook or down the guy you hit with Feral Frenzy so you can build up some pressure instead of DS'ing yourself while running after a different Survivor.

It won't even really help if you're down to the last two people: since you give the person you hit a 4~ second head start to get a KI reading on the other Survivor. If the Survivor you're chasing even just runs in a straight line it buys quote a bit of time for the other Survivor to hide elsewhere.

    -

Mischief List is a 1 second increase to Feral Frenzy duration. Not absolute garbage, but there are better add-ons.

    -

Fuming Mixtape gives you information on which gens are being worked on while you're in Feral Frenzy. This would be cool if you didn't stun yourself for 3+ seconds every time you use this add-on.

It's not complete trash, but unless you're on a very small map like the Game, you just won't be able to get much usage out of seeing what gens are being repaired, since, unlike Wraith, Legion doesn't have any additional mobility or stealth capabilities to take much advantage of said information.

    -

Stab Wounds Study decreases the time allowed to mend, but unless the Survivor is literally a Rank 20 this won't help you in any way at any time.

    -

    Frank's Mixtape isn't useless.

No, it's actively detrimental to your ability to generate pressure and down Survivors, because it will take over 2 minutes at least to down a Survivor using Feral Frenzy and this add-on.

It's probably the worst add-on in the entire game.

Her prestige in general just looks really bad. It looks like they threw a couple dark textures onto her and called it a day.

  • That offering just doesn't work and hasn't for quite some time (since the totem LOS rework I believe). That's the explanation.

This said, Survivors do spawn together more now. You're not crazy.

Once upon a time they used to only spawn together if the Survivors burned an offering to spawn together or (IIRC) the Killer used a Mori (it was that way so you could distinguish between Moris and Shrouds of Separation once you were in-game and were paying attention).
