Eh. They're not my idea of a fun or good time, but I don't have a problem with them existing.
And yes, I've been on the receiving e d of them more than once or twice - and I can confirm that it is possible to Escape against them, just as I can confirm that everyone getting slugged in 2-3 minutes by them isn't too fun either.
Personally though, I don't see much difference between Iridescent Hatchets and Instasaw Hillbilly. They're strong builds sure, almost overbearing, but I personally don't think they need to be removed from the game. Unless the end goal here is that there are no strong builds for anyone.
That said, if enough people and/or BHVR do think Iridescent Hatchets legitimately ruin their fun or make the game unplayable, I wouldn't object to them being nerfed or removed. DbD is a game with five players per match, and any given match should be fun for more than one person.

Most these survivors I face like tea bagging as is. Why should I allow them fun when they go out of their way to try and stop me from having fun?
Because not all people out there are actively trying to ruin your fun. There are people who just want to have a fun game, like you do.
If you're purposely trying to ruin the Survivors' game then you're basically the same as the people tbagging you.
And you don't have to play DbD that way; you don't have to get frustrated at tbagging, see a 1k or 0k as a loss, or worry about Ranks or BPs.
DbD is a game. You should play it because you enjoy it, and play it in a way that you enjoy.

I think that's kinda his point.
Yeah, but if OP takes a moment to really think about what they're saying, maybe they'll see how petty it sounds.
Or better yet, decide that the prospect of staring at Meg's face for 2 minutes (with maybe the occasional double chainsaw down) isn't that appealing after all.
-
I wasn't aware of this.
If this isn't a bug it needs to be removed. I mean, wouldn't this let you just counter the perk by continuing to hold M1 until/unless the Killer actively pushes you off? Making the perk basically useless?
-
Well I hope you have fun then, because 10 to 1 the other players won't.

Not usually.

I'm with you on this, but I think we're in the minority. Most people seem to hate getting trashtalked more than they enjoy getting kind messages
While you can give props in the results screen by clicking on the report feature beside their loadout; AFAIK the player you give props won't know and doing so does absolutely nothing.
And with how many console DbD players turn off messages and friend requests, there isn't a reliable way to say thanks or give them any kind of positive feedback outside of DbD.
Maybe console will get a post game chat if crossplay ever happens but, with how many PC players earnestly request post game chat be removed, I wouldn't hold my breath.

No red stain at all? That would be cooked AF.
The Survivor can still hear your Terror Radius (it intensifies the closer the Killer is to you) and see you.
IMO it wouldn't be that strong; mostly just a perk for people that can't/don't want to moonwalk and to maybe catch a Survivor or two that camps pallets off guard.
Also Bloodlust as a mechanic (go faster the longer it takes you to catch a Survivor without breaking a pallet) is outdated and needs to go IMO; I'd prefer Beast of Prey didn't depend on it.
-
Beast of Prey just straight up removes the Red Stain instead of making you Undetectable, get rid of the whole Bloodlust requirement, and buff the 50% bonus Hunting category BP to apply after the game, not during it.

Strangely the 1st survivor who get stalked is the safest one in the trial. You can feed him to almost Tier3 and you're no more stalkable, leaving other 3 always get exposed.
Its the whole purpose of his mechanic with Laurie OoO though (gets killer's attention but will not be killed, Killer kills anyone except Laurie to gain more power) and I think the idea is genius.
See, this is why I absolutely adore the Halloween chapter. As much as I'm not a fan of Laurie's perks, her and Michael's design capture the feeling of the license and translate it into Dead by Daylight almost perfectly.
It's too bad that level of care and devotion to detail to the source material didn't continue with other licensed chapters, but you can't win all the time.
@Tactless_Ninja said:
"Why were you feeding him? Just stay out of sight dumb dumb. THIS IS EVERYONES FAULT BUT MINE!"- salty survivor main
He can spot your shoulder and get stalk. There's also the fact that you can run in circles all you want but eventually he will catch up.
Even Burgerking Myers can use level geometry to math his way into you.
Because it's tough when you feel like you get punished for someone else's error.
It's easy to get upset when the Michael you've never seen (or worse yet, have seen and denied him Tier 1) uses his 99%'d stalk meter to instadown you. And even if you were responsible for feeding the Michael, feeling/thinking that you're punished purely for the error of others sucks.
Obviously, that's no excuse to insult someone else, but that's the reason why people do it.

You do realize that spirit having Stridor and you having Iron Will is the equivalent of both of you not having those perks, in other words just use Iron will and both of you are square.
But the default state is that Spirit has an advantage - assuming that they have experience using her power and the ability to hear the Survivor's location via sound - not that the Spirit and the Survivor are on equal footing.
Before you or anyone else gets up in arms: I'm not saying that's a bad thing - nor am I suggesting that Iron Will puts things on equal footing; it definitely gives an advantage to the Survivor - but it is the reason OP is asking for help to try and counter a Spirit with Stridor. Since Iron Will is primarily the 'counter' to Spirit, how do you counter a Spirit that 'counters' your 'counter'?

@Tactless_Ninja said:
If the devs 100% listened to everyone then the game would eat itself. They would buff killers into 1 hit murder machines at 120% speed, and survivors would already have the exit gates open. So fun.
There's a difference between turning every Killer into Tombstone Myers and implementing stuff like colorblind settings.
There's no slippery slope here; the devs don't have to do both or neither.
-
Maybe? I don't know.
I'd personally like to think the devs care and actually look into things people say on here and that the community here helps confused or frustrated players out from time to time, but that could just be wishful thinking on my part.
-
As everyone else is saying, hope the Spirit is bad and that your teammates will do gens.
If she has a good headset and is experienced with phasing, you're basically just dead.
If that's not the case though, there are some things you can do to try and trick her.
Like running back and forth in a large area (while staying near a pallet/window for when she exits phase). If you don't have Iron Will the increased sound can actually make it harder to find you for the inexperienced. And with the large area of scratchmarks she won't just be able to go, "oh you're running here".
You can also try and run directly at a vault location and try to mindgame that you're Q&Q/slow vaulting it or actually use it and bait her into thinking you didn't, but with latency I wouldn't rely on windows.
-
I haven't seen a Hag (that I wasn't playing as) since 2019.
-
Breakable walls are the only prop in the game that cannot be interacted with by Survivors in any capacity.
So seeing their locations via aura reading provides no opportunities for the Survivors that cannot already be afforded by simply using your ears to listen for the Killer breaking something.
Additionally, since their auras are the same color and general shape of pallet auras they can mislead those who are inattentive, or otherwise occupied (being chased), into thinking they're pallets, and so cause them to run into a deadzone they wouldn't necessarily have if they hadn't been using WoO (Windows of Opportunity).
I don't know why or how the devs can insist the opposite of this: seeing breakable walls with WoO is at best useless visual clutter and at worst detrimentally misleading.
Either give Survivors some way to meaningfully interact with breakable walls and change their aura coloration, or remove their auras from WoO completely.
-
You can't just leak Hillbilly's new Chase music like that!
-
Because they like designing perks with little caveats that make them less useful. It's a running theme with the Stranger Things DLC in particular.
Conceptually this makes sense; you add a diwnside to keep anything from being too strong, and if it's too weak they can just remove the downside and not have to make any major alterations.
However in practice we end up getting perks like Cruel Confinement (sorry, but Cruel Limits is objectively a worse name), Mindbreaker, Second Wind, Solidarity, Surge, Furtive Chase, Déjà Vu, No One Left Behind, and etc. where the downsides keep the perks from being useful in anything but very niche situations. And then they STAY like that for months or years.
I obviously can't judge the devs, given my ignorance of BHVR's workplace or tradecraft. But I can say that the fact so many perks can go so long without any changes to make them feel more useful or reliable doesn't impress me as a player; or help enthuse me about new DLC perk releases.
-
I think the Disturb Crow Challenges are fun :'(
I also don't see how this could make anyone upset. You don't HAVE to complete challenges as fast as possible and if you want to this one in one go, it is as easy as playing Hillbilly on Blackwater Swamp.
It was probably added for variety/fun. So that the next couple games you chuck a Hatchet or take a swing at a crow you see as you patrol the map.
-
Just play Doctor with this perk; preferably on the Game.
A Survivor will go into a locker at some point, because it's the counter to your power, but they'll still produce Doctor illusions before and as they get into the locker - giving you a chance to get them anyway. You have no guarantee they'll keep using lockers of course, or that you'll get a grab, or that there will be illusions to indicate their locker hiding spot; but you WILL always have an opportunity, and that's better than most Killers can guarantee.
Personally, I got really lucky; two Iron Maiden grabs my first game (30 screams) and another three my second (for the actual challenge), but you will always get someone that gets in a locker if you play as Doctor. The only question is if you'll get to grab them out.
-
Killer easily.
Most of it is stuff you just do normally (hit Survivors with charged Hatchets, chase Survivors, etc.), but even if it's stuff that I wouldn't do usually (make Survivors scream, kick gens, etc.) it's just an excuse to play a certain Killer or with a different build for a game or two.
As Survivor though, a lot of the challenges use up resources: so you're competing with the other 3 Survivors to get them done in addition to hoping the Killer plays in a way that will let you make any progress. Good luck stunning the Killer while he chases Ace, and only Ace, for 2 years.
-
Am I too late to say FPS bad?
-
I do get what you're saying OP. I use Lightborn on Myers all the time (because you shouldn't be able to blind evil with a flashlight) and it's a hard counter to all but the best flashlights.
Like I can stare directly into the beam and charge at the Survivor brandishing the Flashlight and still won't get blinded. Even if it's a very strong flashlight (Odd Bulb or Intense Halogen on a Utility Flashlight) there's plenty of time to look away before it completes the blind.
That's kinda silly. Unfair maybe, from the Flashlight user's POV.
But it's also one of my only four perks and that's ALL it does. The way I see it, unless someone tries to blind me, I am basically playing Myers with just 3 perks. And if the Survivors are smart once they realize I have Lightborn they won't waste anymore time trying to Blind me.
Considering how easy it is to bait out Flashlight saves or just listen to the footsteps of Survivors that blind at pallets, it feels like a waste of a perk slot. And if I wasn't committed to playing a 'canon' Myers build I probably wouldn't use it.
So I don't think Lightborn needs nerfed. If anything, it and Flashlights should be reworked completely.
Kinda like how Hangman's and Sabotage were; but hopefully with Lightborn becoming more versatile and useful instead of becoming totally useless like new Hangman's Trick.
As for Camping, I think we should reward camped Survivors, not punish Campers.
That way it'll stop people from doing it to grief others (you're giving the campee a free safety pip and bloodloints for distracting you) and Killers that do it for legitimate reasons won't suffer (if you aren't just trying to troll the hooked Survivor I wouldn't see why you'd mind that they'll get rewarded).
-
We can try to find her, but unfortunately it would seem that years of evading the cops has taught her a thing or two about stealth.
The paint is fresh, but she's long gone. So to speak.
-
Yeah, it absolutely baffles me why the devs nerfed Remember Me with the EGC update but then just let it slow the Gates after you close Hatch anyway.
I'd think the obvious solution would have been to leave it as it was, but just have it deactivate when the EGC starts.
-
No, but I don't like how 80% of the stuff in this game is implemented.
So many really cool ideas feel absolutely wasted.
-
- Dedicated Servers were a terrible idea for Dead by Daylight; short distances and brief seconds are extremely important in game.
- Survivors that just do gens AND aren't total babies at looping are unbeatable. Unfortunately, they do NOT make up the majority of the people playing; which is why balancing around them leaves biased Survivors upset (another nerf!) and biased Killers unhappy (it's not enough!).
- The devs need to bring back matchmaking of some kind. Maybe it won't kill the game to leave it as is, but it sure is making it unfun for both casual new players and experienced longtime players. I get that their MMR might take a while and that queues might become even longer; but the game should not just be left in a free-for-all until then. I'll trade under 5 minute queues for actually playing with competent opponents/teammates.
- If you've ever played this game and not given a care about how much fun the other side is having, then you don't get to complain about anything Killers or Survivors do to you in-game being annoying or unfun. You were them once to someone else: so put on your big girl/boy pants and toughen up - you'll survive being slugged for 3 minutes or tbagged at the Exit.
-
You would have a point here if pre-Balanced Landing was still a thing: depending on window spawns for the upper and lower floors you used to be able to get some crazy setups.
But pre-nerf Balanced Landing isn't a thing anymore. Aside from when a particular god window spawns, the chapel itself isn't a very safe structure.
-
This entire proposal hinges on finding the Deathslinger and Michael Myers to have unfairly small Terror Radius. And I personally, do not.
I hate to break this to you, but they're both designed to be sneaky. They wouldn't have add-ons focused on reducing their Terror Radius further if they weren't.
So instead of nerfing a perk for the Killers it benefits most, why not play the game with the thought in mind that "this Killer could be a Stealth Killer" and keep your eyes peeled and ears peeled or get surprised?
And if you hate the idea of getting surprised, like I do, just run Spine Chill.

Ah yes, let's just remove an entire character - and one that is connected to the current Rift - from the game until there's never any latency. /s
The hitbox for Huntress' Hatchets are a bit larger than the Hatchets themselves, but that's because Survivors' hurtboxes are pills and they don't fit inside them perfectly.
The reason you're getting hit from around objects is because of a delay in the information relay between your computer, the server, and the Killer's computer.
This is an inherent part of dedicated servers. And there will always be delay because almost nothing travels from point A to point B instantly.
There's no problem here that can be 'fixed', unfortunately.

@Seiko300 said:
No one Left Behind is a completely obsolete perk and its function is more or less completely useless because of how niche it is. Even as a BP bonus perk it only activates at the very tail end of a match which tops is three minutes.
If you're looking for a similar perk to run We'll Make It is 10x better, more reliable, more consistent, and it helps you throughout the entirety of a match.
This is one of those old perks from 2016 that has not aged well at all (especially with the EGC) and needs a complete rework. Buffing stats doesn't change the fact it doesn't help you for 90% of the match and is woefully ineffective for the other 10%. However, I'm not a fan of mixing and matching perks together, which it appears is something OP tried to push forward through the poll options, that just doesn't seem like a good idea for the sake of perk diversity. I don't want actual good or somewhat decent perks like Hope, or Borrowed Time to be thrown under the bus because of the perk that hasn't been updated for almost four years now.
The funny thing is; they did buff it recently. It now doubles Altruism bloodpoint scoring events, increases all altruistic actions speeds (including unhooking) by 50%, and provides vision of the auras of every remaining Survivor...
...just, only after an Exit Gate is open.
...
If I didn't use it myself in my Stupid Hero Dwight build, I'm pretty sure that I'd never see it on a post game results screen. Ever.
And it's understandable why.
-
Shroud of Separation doesn't even work currently, but if it did it would be far more beneficial for the Survivors than the Killers.
I'm all for having it and Shroud of Union swap places.
-
@Milord said:
This is more for a chase thing. You know how good survivors turn the camera around to see the killer while in chase? With this perk Killer will get a buff if the survivor does that.
I don't feel like that'd really be worth using though.
As Killer I just don't think you're looked at while performing time sensitive tasks often enough for a perk focused on buffing that to be worth using.
Additionally, unlike with Survivors, there's also no risk associated with being close to and looked at by the Survivors.
I get the idea here, but I'm not into it.

Michael Myers is strongly implied to have a mental illness similar to schizophrenia and in my opinion is a cautionary tale of what happens if you treat a mentally ill person in the absolute worst way possible. To quote the Wikipedia article on Michael's character;
"Carpenter's inspiration for the 'evil' that Michael would embody came when he was in college. While on a class trip at a mental institution in Kentucky, Carpenter visited 'the most serious, mentally ill patients'. Among those patients was a young boy around 12 to 13 years old. The boy gave this 'schizophrenic stare', 'a real evil stare', which Carpenter found 'unsettling', 'creepy', and 'completely insane'. Carpenter's experience would inspire the characterization that Loomis would give of Michael to Sheriff Brackett in the original film. Debra Hill has stated the scene where Michael kills a German Shepherd was done to illustrate how he is 'really evil and deadly'."
Michael Myers was a little boy with extreme schizophrenia whose family did nothing to help him. A common symptom of schizophrenia is hearing voices, so it would probably be safe to say that Michael heard voices that told him to kill his sister. And being six years old, at an age where empathy or even an understanding of good and evil is absent, he killed his sister. Doctor Loomis didn't even consider the thought that he was mentally ill and labeled him as pure evil, even as a six year old. To quote Doctor Loomis; "I met this six-year-old child with this blank, pale, emotionless face, and the blackest eyes; the devil's eyes [...] I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply...evil." How did Loomis become a licensed psychiatrist with a degree when he doesn't even consider that a six year old boy killed his sister because he was mentally ill.
Michael had no help during his formative years while suffering from an extreme mental illness, so it's obvious that when he broke out he wouldn't know better to not listen to his voices and kill people. He didn't have any guidance. He wasn't taught the concept of morals or alignment or empathy due to Loomis's sheer incompetence. While it's undeniable that the actions he committed were pure evil, I see him as an extremely mentally ill man who wasn't given proper guidance as a child and as a result has no way of dealing with the voices except for listening to them and killing people. The real killer in Halloween wasn't Michael, it was Loomis, who treated Michael so poorly that Michael became a killing machine with no grasp of good and evil.
In conclusion, Loomis is a horrible psychiatrist and Michael killing people could have been prevented if he got a psychiatrist who knew what they were doing. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
He got shot six times off a balcony and got back up after being stabbed twice in the neck and face.
He later gets shot, run over, shot again, stabbed, has his neck broken by a close range rifle shot to the face, AND still survives.
He's the bogeyman; not a mistreated kid turned into a monster. As important as understanding and not demonizing those with psychological health issues is, it's not applicable to Michael Myers.
He's not human; he's pure evil.

I hadn't seen Kate's full lore until now, but yes it really is the worst.
I mean, at least Spirit's retcon into "Actually she was a latent raging homicidal maniac all along!" was a little interesting and tied her together with The Oni.
Kate's lore is just 5 pages of "back to zero", "ominous melody", "muse", and "I must clear my mind". If they were trying to convey that the Entity originally wanted her to become a Killer and that she rebuked it, that could have been done a lot better.
Like, instead of being alone she's with a group of friends: and the Entity tries to drive her insane and manipulate her into killing them.
Or if they were going for a "she's losing her grip on sanity" angle, they could demonstrate that by detailing what she's doing and show us the structure of her thoughts deteriorating. Something besides just telling us "evil cave is evil and plays some catchy evil music" over and over.
Instead what we got was nothing. Literally just fluff that is told to us by her bio.
We already know that the Entity's presence is familiar to Kate. We already know that she liked going alone into accursed and isolated spots where unthinkable horrors left blasphemous stains upon the very face of the earth (for some reason). We already know that music and singing are as important to her as breathing.
We just got 5 pages reaffirming this along with a cinematic that almost retconned how the Entity kidnapped, but then didn't at the last second. To show us that she was strong willed enough to resist it's call, I guess? (And stupid enough to go back to that or another, similarly, unholy site of esoteric horror and antediluvian evil.)
Like, I appreciate that we got lore. I appreciate that it comes with cinematics AND narration. I appreciate that it wasn't delayed by the global pandemic.
But that doesn't change the fact that it was really bad.
Like, if the devs are already going to put money and effort into this, couldn't they at least have someone proofread it?

Yea, matchmaking isn't in a good spot.
Personally, I get as many groups of Rank 15s or 10s as I do Red Ranks (I'm Rank 1 most of the time).
I like meme'ing and/or farming as much as the next person, but when I face absolute baby Survivors every other game it gets a little old. I play DBD to be a Killer, not a Babysitter. I want to struggle to win against people my skill level, not wipe the floor or play 'merciful deity' with people that installed DBD yesterday.
It sucks, but the most you can do is either hope it gets fixed soon, or play something else until it does.

This is just making me imagine a Darkest Dungeon-esque team name appearing for specific groups of Survivors.
Anyways, I don't personally have any nicknames for groups of Survivors. I usually just, boringly, think, "Hey, 4 Jeffs!" or "Oh no, 4 Claudettes."
That said, maybe 4 Quentins could be called the 'Dream Warriors'?
-
I mean, in a sense, it is a dream.
Dreams are mental environments created by our unconscious mind. Typically we lack the ability to control them and can't share this mental environment with another consciousness.
However both these are the case in the Entity's Realm; these nightmares are shared by 4 Survivors and 1 Killer, and their environments and internal logic controlled by the Entity; host of the shared Nightmare. This is why both Survivors and Killers obey odd and arbitrary rules: they're more or less unconscious and can only act within the confines allowed them by the Entity.
Much like how in a dream, you can't act how you would like. You jump off the building, or go to school without your pants, or whatever, instead of doing what you would do normally. And while you're dreaming it doesn't occur to you that anything is abnormal.
Of course, a few people; Vigo, The Alchemist, The Observer, and potentially some as yet unknown characters, can go beyond the confines of the Entity. Unlike most others, they've managed to achieve consciousness while 'sleeping' and can manipulate the dream. This is a real thing known as lucid dreaming.
However, with regards to Dead by Daylight this only affords them a small measure of control. They're still more or less prisoners inside the Entity's dream. They're just not as beholden to it's rules as others. Hence Vigo's ability to produce all manner of helpful items to aid survival, but inability to truly Escape.
I find it highly unlikely it's the Survivor's dream (if that were the case I'd think that they'd wake up eventually, or at least change their dream over time), but you're right that it is a dream. More or less.

Given the amount of unknown variables associated with this theoretical death match, and the fact that all the participants are fictional characters, any answer is purely subjective.
-----
In other words: any of the Killers could theoretically win; depending on who writes out the encounter. It's the same as all those superhero 'verseus' things.
So because she's my main, I'll go for Huntress. Lengthy explanation below.
-----
She's canonically killed loads of people; whole villages and groups of soldiers with actual guns (not Deathslinger's lame harpoon) singlehandedly. Given her 'Me v. Everyone Else' combat experience; I think she has the best chance of surviving a death match.
Meanwhile, Oni was done in by an angry mob. Don't get me wrong, he definitely has a pretty good chance: he's killed a ton of highly dangerous things and dispatched multiple foes ganging up on him. But he's also had a lot of close calls: scars aren't victories, they're mistakes that could have gotten you killed - and he's covered with the things. He makes any slip ups against Spirit, Wraith, or Huntress, like he did against his dad, and they won't hesitate.
Plague has literally never killed anyone and as a handmaiden turned priestess presumably has little to no combat experience. Her sickness could spell soon for another Killer (if they have to get close to kill her), but it won't save her.
Spirit does know what she's doing with her katana, having beaten a gang of boys to death with a wooden practice sword, but she's a semi-nude, Survivor-tall stick: assuming she can die, she probably will if she gets hit by even a glancing blow.
Hillbilly suffers from all kind of physical impairments: sure he's got a chainsaw and has terrorized farmers and cattle; but he has no fighting experience. One on one against Trapper, Oni, Wraith, or Huntress in a hand-to-hand fight he's at a disadvantage (Huntress of course, also doesn't need to fight hand-to-hand).
The Deathslinger can harpoon one of the Killers if they're within 18 meters, but then he'll need to spend about 2 or 3 seconds reloading while he's just some skinny Hollow cowboy with a bayonet. He has been in his share of fights; but they're mostly gun fights were he had a gang to back him up; not melees alone against a mob.
Hag has magic rituals and a giant claw on her side, but she's also literally a zombie made of mud - assuming she can die, a good swift kick might kill her.
The Nurse can teleport, but once she arrives she's just a floating nurse with a bonesaw (for about second before succumbing to her fatigue) - assuming she can die, she has a very uphill battle against the other Killers.
Trapper has only really ever brutalized the unaware and non-combatants. He's cunning, big, and has a machete, but that's all he has going for him.
Everyone sleeping on the Wraith of course, ignoring the fact that his primary weapon is the spine and skull of a guy he RIPPED APART WITH HIS BARE HANDS LIKE HE'S THE FREAKIN' DOOMSLAYER! He doesn't need a bell; if twinkletoes here can get close to any of the other Killers they're mincemeat. So why not him as winner? Well, Huntress is a huntress (i.e. - her daily survival depends on tracking things that don't want to be found) with ranged weaponry that she wields with deadly accuracy. And did I mention she got bored of killing bears and wolves? Because she got bored of killing bears and wolves - and not with beartraps either, Trapper. Wraith's speed, stealth, and insane ferocity would give him an huge edge against probably every Killer in a 1v1 but her, and even with her it might theoretically be a close thing.
While Doctor has his big stick, his big muscles, and his electric hands: he's only really ever killed people that were literally defenseless - well his 'patients', and his fellow doctors at Léry's; but were a bunch of bored psychology doctors really that much of a threat for a deranged man with a giant d***o? I don't really think so. His madness ability could help him, but it takes time to charge. He has a chance, but he doesn't have a very good one IMO.
Clown is old, overweight, and uses a tiny knife. In his prime maybe he'd be threatening, but as is I think even Hag or Nurse could easily take him during one of his coughing fits. Barring a few miracles he's guaranteed to lose.
The Legion is actually really threatening in a death match thanks to their numbers. As Oni's lore makes a point to show: numbers can triumph over pure skill or strength. That said, I don't think there are enough of them to make too much of a difference against any of the heavier hitters: a single swing or two of Oni's katana or kanabo could kill or cripple multiple of them, Huntress' hatchets would kill or maim them into ineffectiveness, and Wraith could rip and tear them to pieces. If Legion could get the jump on the Killer in question, maybe, but I don't know.

It's a really fun perk now, but with the EGC present you'll want to 99% the Exit Gates until you're all ready to leave.
So you're put into a situation where you either start the timer of death or you just let your otherwise decently strong 4th perk be useless.
This would be an interesting choice if DbD was a 1v1 game.
But it's a 4v1.
I shouldn't be encouraged to potentially screw over other players so that I can activate my perk.
Besides the perk is only decent; it doesn't really need a 3 minute timer attached to it.

Mister Holdout's unique survivor perk: Lady Killer
Perk description: Your irresistible charm overpowers all female killers. During the trial, if the killer is female, you gain the ability to romance the killer. Only one romance per trial.
Additional Info: Lady Killer is a perk for male survivors only. If more than one male survivor has the perk, then the first survivor to romance the killer gets her all to himself.
If I'm going to be stuck in a trial, then I'm going to have some fun while I'm there. The other survivors can escape while I keep Julie busy.
Lady Killer is a perk for male survivors only.
So wait, you're telling me EVERY female Killer is straight? Well, I'm sad now.

I love the movie adaptation of 'The Shining' (not a fan of the book, unfortunately), but I wouldn't really call it an iconic horror franchise.
It's a single film that got a rather lacklustre sequel(?) almost 40 years later.
