Did you watch the video? Also, here's what Slash n Cast said under the video "legally, it's technically a possibility. But there are a few reasons it doesn't make sense for them to do it. That's when things get complicated though lol." So basically, yeah, it CAN happen but you'd have to jump through 50 different rings to get it.

Exactly, what would be a huge emotional milestone for them? It could be Pennywise, because of how attached the team is to IT and Jason, because of how HUGE of a milestone it would be for the game. It could be marketing but hopefully not.

I was thinking the same thing and figured we might get some rando. I googled various things and found a killer called Chromeskull from the horror movie Laid to Rest. Best part is the skull "kinda" resembles the one from the picture and from artwork I've seen the skull is sometimes depicted as melting. I think the killers face melted or something in the movie, I don't really know.
There is even anther movie set to come out eventually. Let's get Chromeskull for DBD!

On the next Q/A stream, just ask if the killer will have a mask, no mask, or wear make-up.
Mask = Jason
No mask = Candyman
Make-up = Pennywise
And it has to be one of them because it's a "classic license."

Trapper is loosely based on Jason. Both wear a mask and use a machete. Billy was based on Leatherface but that doesn’t mean we couldn’t have both.
But what people fail to realize is that Jason rarely used traps in his movies. He snuck up on people and killed them in unique ways. The only time I can recall him using a bear traps was in the 2009 remake.
And the devs have already stated that Jason has an open invitation into the game if they could ever get the legal rights.
So no, Trapper is not Jason when you could have the real deal.

Don't think it's pennywise because they already have the clown and because pennywise is basically an entity in itself. Saw that tweet though so I definitely think it's gonna be Candyman plus the 4 looks gold like honey.

As some people have suggested, Pennywise and Candyman seem to be the most likely candidates based on the information we have.
Pennywise based on the "emotional" comment as Jason seems too unlikely, though that certainly would be emotional if it were true. Scott's "Not Candyman" statement is another step towards Pennywise as well. It is possible however that the use of the word emotional was used for marketing or an oversight.
Candyman based on the various little clues we have gotten, plus the pending theatrical release of Candyman. As it was pushed back, the release cycle may not have been able to change for it, thus Candyman still makes sense from that perspective.
If I had to pick a third and fourth I would say Jason (most emotional) and Pinhead (classic and relatively iconic, plus more chains!) - Xenomorph or Pyramid Head a distant 5th and 6th. But of course - anything is possible. I always thought a vampire would be cool, though you don't need a license for that.
Very sadly, if Scott is right with what he says, then the Xenomorph has also been deconfirmed. ;_;
On the other hand, if another random player is right, it could be the Candyman or the Xenomorph.

I don't know enough about that to say - the one thing I did hear though is that the upcoming killer would have been the furthest away on the release pipeline at the time, thus the most likely to be changed. That said, given that the killer was clearly tied to a license even back then, the only way Scott would be wrong is if that killer was pushed back or the license fell through.
But unlike some random player, Scott has insider information.
So why'd he literally say not to take his word as gospel truth, if he has insider information?
Because things change.
He thought the last Killer would be The Gunslinger because that was it's WIP name up until shortly before the chapter's release.
In other words, his supposed insider information isn't reliable.
A better question would be "do we want Jason in here?"
His game was killed by the law suit. If that crap happens again they won't be able to do anything with him. He'll be put on hold until it's resolved. Unless the devs make him strong(very unlikely) he'll probably be another killer for survivors to bully. Do we really want to put Jay through that?
Well at least in this game he can't be tbagged by some rich kid in a speedo as he's being killed by Tommy Jarvis and some punk rocker in a moldy grey sweater.

I hope this loads in properly but, as I already said, this is IF Scott is correct, when it comes to Alien, I hope he's wrong.
I doubt we will see Alien. They are too sci-fi horror, where DBD is either slasher or supernatural type horror. Demo is the most sci-fi killer there is but it still is an extra-dimensional being in a world who's rules seem centered more around supernatural events rather than sci-fi events.

Are we not going to talk about how the 4 looks A LOT LIKE PYRAMID HEAD? Like... literally, the 4 looks exactly like his head. It is pyramid head, it HAS to be.
I don't know, he doesn't seem to bring anything that new to the table... I would much rather see some interesting big changes... Maybe some classic horror characters. The Mummy, Wolf Man, Dracula could be cool. My money would be on Pinhead or Candyman though. Especially with a new Candyman movie coming out right around the corner.
And what about the hillbilly and Leatherface?
Well, they can still get Jason the killer with the hockey mask, but they cant use the word Voorhees, or mention his relationship with his mother OR Camp Crystal Lake.
