Ive been forced to write this discussion now becuase ive had enough of the devs slowy murdering there own game..

i feel like im not the only one who feels this way and will have many people agree with me on this. Devs need to stop changing things that dont need to be changed!

If you dont know it by now then youve been living under a rock for the past 5 years..this game was changed 3 years ago or so to be more survivor freindly and give them a bit more power to live longer in the game but for a while now the game is now pro survivor freindly and have given them a bit too mutch power to the point were some of the killers arnt even scary anymore and some player go looking for the killer just to piss him off??? other problems with the game now are listed below and is fair reasoning to why the devs need to stop changing things they dont need to..

    For example:

Auras: remember a lil while ago when the devs make it pretty mutch inpossible to see auras?...yea me too.. me personally being somone with eye problems and many others who have blindness really struggled to play the game for a few days untill the devs were forced to change it back. (becuase they knew they ######### up)

Auto Haven: This map used to great and fair on both sides as some maps should be for killer and some should be for survoirs. But now...the new autohaven is just somthing else..for 1 its too dark to the point were you cant see bascally anything. 2 they have overdone it with so many decorations that u can barely walk 3 steps without getting stuck on somthing in a chase or other..

Mori: this one is just the cherry on the cake.. Mori used to be the only thing that could stop a toxic survivor ruining your day..but now the devs have done it again and taken somthing they DONT need to fix and ruined it in the process

dont get me wrong im very good at the game and mostly do survivor main and can be a toxic survivor somtime but i will admit that unlike most toxics who say they wern't toxic..and i dont like it when i get moried like everyone but i just get on with it when it happens..mori was put in the game for a reason to be a quick and easy kill if your really struggling to catch people. (espeshally if u have my luck and u get 4 toxics that u cant catch)

the point is the devs need to stop changing things that dont need to be changed

please comment or like if you agree with me in this becuase i know some of you are thinking the same.

Yes, very survivor sided game even though the kill rate is balanced and actually leaning more towards the killers side. Mori's were broken, they gave free kills. Autohaven is now killer sided so I'm not sure why you're complaining bc it's full of dead zones. Idk if you're an og or not but back then, this game was truly survivor sided.

  • @SasukeKun said:

i do not like that they changed mori's again, AGAIN. with all the survivor perks they should just make it so after they get unhooked once they can no longer be killed for the rest of the trial. Devs always just listen to complaining survivors who suck at the game.

@Peanits ruining the killer experience with every patch. Man i was excited about that patch notes list until i saw that addition. Next they gonna take Mori's out completely cuz survivors dont wanna die in dead by daylight.

I personally wanted different Mori's for the different killers

EDIT: Some seem to think i'm talking about a Free win, if anyone didn't know or doesnt play killer. Mori's only granted you less than 15k or somethin which sometimes made "entity displeased". They should have tweaked survivor's keys before they touch more pinks on killers side. Survivors have a whole arsenal

Sorry that that they changed one of the most broken things in the game and now you can't mori off of first hook. Also if you payed any attention you would know that keys are getting nerfed as well. Also, I love when people say this game is survivor sided when the kill rate is 89% meaning only 11% of survivor escape. That's 1 survivor escaping in every 2/3 matches btw.

Announcement of freddy changes has been made..and yet I think its a terrible decision to be making..despite his kill rating nobody worth their salt as a killer views him as top of the pyramid, the issue we find ourselves in a situation i worried was coming..the severe lack of competent matchmaking has created a mix of players at all levels , this hereby resulting in teams of random survivors being handicapped by less experience players, combine that with the killers emblem system requiring more effort to keep up, so even when the matches are all red ranks there are many that don't belong there seeping into them on the survibor end..last time we had stats the difference between ranks 2 and one was over 10 percent difference in kill rate even with this bad system

This all pools into creating unreliable stats and in game experience which is only going to inflate the bad experiences of higher tier killer players beyond what they already can be Because the game isn't properly equipped to handle teams with intimate game knowledge and skill..I forsee this freddy change heading to disaster and when they finally get real numbers for higher levels of play it'll result in a bigger backlog if they overlap freddy as im very worried they will..I think they need to wait and focus on the games low points rather than shoot themselves in the foot

I'm not gonna say he needs a nerf but what he does need is a higher skill cap. Same with spirit. They either need to be nerfed or they need to actually be harder to learn. They are way too easy to learn to be as good as they are unlike nurse who is very hard to become really good at and is also a very good killer.

  • @Emeal said:

Do you think Survivors let me have free hooks if Im doing bad? Where is the feeling of good sport there?

That's not being a bad sport or being toxic though lmao. That's like saying when I'm losing in a basketball game by a lot the other team is just supposed to give me free points. No, we play til the last second. Then we (used to before Covid lol) shake hands and show good sportsmanship.

  • @Wesker09 said:

Than killers wonder why it's so strong. STOP TUNNELING

Tunnelling is very strong. I play 90% survivor and 10% killer, but when I do play killer and I see no obsession in that bottom left corner.......ez 4k

  • @unluckycombo said:

Y'know, I always find stuff like this funny, because I really don't see a lot of toxicity. Some in-game BM? Oh definitely. Real toxicity? Rare.

Idk about this chief the game is pretty toxic if you ask me. I can franky care less but some people do get hurt by it. Then again people have different definitions of toxic so idk. I personally don't care about the toxicity because ik usually the people that are toxic really aren't that good lmao.

Yes maybe 1v1 is impossible to escape but it starts as a 4v1. If the killer managed to get it down to a 1v1 and survivors did not get all the gens, why do they get a free win anyway? When the killer does bad and gets no kills at the end, do killers get a free kill anyway?

1 escape for the survivors is still a win for the killer though. The mindset killers have is that they need to get 4ks every game to "win" when in reality a 3k is a win because you killed more people than survived. And it's not a free escape because you have to find hatch before each other it's not like the suvrivor just knows where hatch is and escaped through it every match in 1v1 situations.

if they were so helpless in the 3v1 they shouldn't have gone down in the first place in the 4v1

What? Is your argument not to go down to the killer or am I reading this wrong? If that's your argument I don't wanna hear it bc that's the stupidest thing I've heard all week.

  • @FFirebrandd said:

I mean... Noed doesn't give free kills?

All it does is give you a movespeed bonus and insta downs after all the gens are done. That's it. It doesn't teleport a survivor onto a hook. Even without Noed its entirely possible to just finish getting the last down you're in the middle of then camp him or camp the guy you already have hooked and scrape together one kill that way. Sure NOED makes it easier, but all perks make something easier. That's their job.

Also... there's a much much easier way to deal with NOED instead of breaking every totem. Just make a mental note of where dull totems are on the map as you play... then come late game if a buddy gets hit with NOED, check the totems you know about... see if any of them got promoted. If one did, cleanse it. Congrats, you've countered 25% of the Killer's perks and all its done is made getting one hook easier.

Besides that, you know another reason NOED should not be changed? It is 1 of 2 perks in the basic killer set that is not just plain bad or a tracking perk. There's a reason why newbie killers have a tendency to run it. They literally have nothing better.

NOED does give free kills though. I can tell you SOOO MANY TIMES a survivor (not just me) has died to NOED when if the killer didn't have it, they would've escaped.

There's a reason insta downs are so strong and it's because it gives you free downs. The difference with NOED is by endgame, most killers camp to secure that one down they earned from NOED and I don't blame them for camping, but most of the time they would've never even had the down without NOED.

Sure perks make something easier but, this makes getting downs and kills way too damn easy, and my issue isn't how easy it is, it's the fact that the perk makes getting downs and kills easier BECAUSE you couldn't get downs and kills without the perk.

And you say find all the totems instead of breaking them and just take a mental note of where they are, THE ISSUE IS ACTUALLY FINDING THEM LMAO. Sure, like I said, breaking totems takes a lot of time but if ik the killer is no longer gonna have a perk I'll break them, THATS IF I CAN FIND THEM THOUGH. Finding totems is a lot harder than it seems, ESPECIALLY in solo queue which is why there are dedicated perks and an item for it, but I shouldn't have to bring a map every game to counter NOED. Or bring small game or detectives hunch. It's stupid.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/206183/lets-talk-about-noed

I also hear people say, "just run small game and detectives hunch with a rainbow map!" So since you put on one perk, I have to change my entire loadout now? Hmmmm, totally makes sense.

Yes, it does. You don't get to ignore a perk's counter and also demand to be exempt from its effects. You are playing against a killer who has three perks most of the time and still want more?

I don't even understand the point you're getting at. Killer runs one perk and I have to run an entire loadout to counter it? Uh huh. Good one Jimmy.

  • @Stealth said:

I agree but the hatch should also go as well. Both are ways of avoiding the objective for a quick win.

The hatch should most definitely not go. If it does 1v1 situations in endgame will be close to impossible to escape unless they make gate spawns ALWAYS on opposing sides of the map which would be too hard for killer. Hatch is like the happy medium.

you can say this about anything

I have experience and I say ds shouldn't exist because its not fun

I like camping and tunneling and ds prevents that

A healthy game shouldn't have perks that go against common strategy

    Ds can be removed easily

Much easier to balance the game without it

Cmon BHVR, you have to see how bad this is

make it so survivors don't get any 2nd chances

    doesn't make it right tho

If ds was removed it would GENUINELY break the game. If I could tunnel a survivor every game without having to worry about getting stunned for 5 seconds, gg ez. I don't think I have lost a game where there is no obsession tbh. I'm fine with DS being reworked. Mori's on the other hand break the game for existing and same goes for keys. Mori is like a DC for survivor in the sense that it turns into a 3v1 leaving the survivors helpless.

I hate how literally using anything but the top like 5-10% of perks is worthless...try running a Sabo build with Breakout, MoM...so pointless even with 2 oak offerings on, literally 6 hooks within 10 meters of eachother. Oh you don't force yourself to run borrowed time? Here's a depip because Killers tunnel EVERY game...On top of that the bloodweb system is terrible. I'm sorry i've got to spend 150,000 points to get one perk at tier 3 pretty much, being P3 50 character. Btw getting 150,000 bloodpoints on survivor probably take an hour depending on offerings...not to mention my dead characters I can't really use because they have no offerings and why would i spend bloodpoints on characters without offerings to gain more bloodpoints or play a good map or to even use an item that i have loads of on a character i don't like to play as....

I feel like these are bad issues in the game that will never get addressed. Most maps are becoming really dead zone orientated and with the current bloodlust with Undying and Ruin meta, Killer literally has the power role right now...and it seems I might be a "entitled survivor" these are underlying issues that even SWF's will struggle with these days, which is sad for people like me who rarely plays on coms with a full team or at all...

Again i can see certain issues with also playing Killer "gen speed too quick" that may be on some maps but not really the case anymore. I shouldn't be getting a 4k on Shelter Woods with Myers so easily before 3 gens are done. But that happens because there's about 5 pallets on that map and I can get easy bloodlust with tier 3 speed.

The pip system is a complete waste of time and only aggravates the players...oh I got instantly tunnelled and mori'd here is a instant Depip and 3k bloodpoints....what is the point in playing a match like that? I even feel like when i play Killer and 2/3 people escaped the hatch at the end I still even safety pip because i've managed to get enough points and even if i don't safety pip, i'm laughing my way to the bloodweb with all my killer bloodpoints i got by doing nothing.

The fact is though, we will never see these changes that so desperately need to be made in the game, everyones opinion get's silenced or i feel ignored, i've offered a lot of feedback in surveys and on the forums and i get it you can't please everyone. But my issues i've talked about and if they got addressed would please EVERY player on the game.

P.S please add a bloodmarket, the game is crying out for it. Having the ability to share items across characters is a must. Let us sell the worthless 600 brown toolboxes that will never get used for some small bloodpoint reward or even a trade up system...

I agree with most everything u said. This game needs a lot of changing for BOTH sides. There are many dead zones now. Thanks for the response ❤️

The PS5 version looks AMAZING. I was in awe when it finished downloading. I just wish it wasn’t counted as a separate game so my trophies could cross over. Honestly I’d go as far as spending a couple dollars to have my trophies cross over. I REALLY don’t want to start all over again.

Wait you've played on the PS5?! Tell me more please!!! Is it much better than PS4?! Would like to hear more. Thanks for the comment! ❤️

Do people really think slugging is toxic?

In some forms it is. You haven't seen the same things I have seen when people slug. It's disgusting what people do. Slugging in general is just boring tho for survivor and is toxic when the killer just slugs and stands over the body which is still considered slugging. I didn't vote slugging bc some killers genuinely slug bc it's the best thing to do and I understand that. People have different experiences tho and I also understand that.

These 2 have the lowest pickrates according to the stats, so I thought it'd be fun to make a poll for who you like playing more on console...and if you dont play either much, then who youd like to play more/learn to play them better?

Also the reason I made it for console is how they may play slightly different on console or the frame rate on them may affect your choice on them etc.

After voting, tell me why you made that decision if you dont mind! Alright everyone have a wonderful day!

Demo is a ######### cutie and just seems more fun than plague IMO

  • @SweetTerror said:

The matchmaking makes or breaks this game imo. I have a group of friends that I play with on a regular basis which helps, but getting matched against far higher skilled or a lower-skilled players just ruins the fun. Supposedly a new MMR is coming, but they've been saying that for months now.

I agree. I play with my friends pretty much all the time not because I like to bully killers in SWF (in fact we usually lose bc we just f around lmao), but because playing with randoms makes me so mad because they just aren't on the same level of skill as me and I can't get mad at them bc it's not even their fault lol. And mmr was added but removed bc it really wasn't working very well but it's supposedly coming back so we'll see. Thanks for the comment ❤️

From the 4 original survivors: Dwight, Meg, Claudette and Jake, which one do you like more, based on everything they have: clothes, voice, appearance, perks, etc?

I main Claudette (no I'm not a blendette 😑), but Dwight is a ######### cutie no cap 👀

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

You know, I think they should just add Old Freddy back. I never got the chance to play him but he looked like a blast to play. The new Freddy is kinda cool, but he doesn't feel like Freddy. Having a killer that played so differently looked like a lot of fun, and I'd love if BHVR added a similar killer, one that survivors couldn't see or hear until they were pulled into the same world that they reside in.

Old Freddy was very fun and cool, but was very weak. Probably one of the weakest killers in the game if not the weakest. It was a very cool concept though so maybe they can make someone like that but stronger. Would be cool. Thanks for the response ❤️

  • @Pepsidot said:

Devs should bring back first person Mori perspectives for killers. They're so much better. The only exception to this would be ghostface's Mori. Transition to the camera's POV when taking the photo.

That would be cool. Would be nice to see them switch between different perspectives on Mori's to make it more "dynamic" if that's the right word choice.

First I wanna say I really do love this game. I have 2,000+ hours and I've been playing since October of 2017. I've made a lot of memories on it and I've had a lot of fun on it, not saying I don't anymore but not very commonly as I used to. I wish the game would receive more changes instead of constant Chapters every 3 months. This game needs a lot of work when it comes to balancing for both sides and that's why I don't have as much fun as I used to when I first got the game. I still play the game everyday because I love the grinding aspect, but I never really expect to have fun most of the time I am playing it really anymore. I would say 2/10 games I actually have an enjoyable time. But yeah that's my overall thought on the current health of the game 😊

Umm, you stalking me or something? Did you like know exactly how I feel about this game or something? LMAO. This is literally me I'm not gonna lie. I have less hours but have also been playing since the end of 2017. I don't enjoy the game as much but I still play it almost every day because I'm low key addicted. I agree with pretty much everything you said. Thanks for posting here ❤️

  • @Alphaphalt said:

We all know how killer games go. Find your first survivor, he runs in circles for 3 minutes, all the gens get done and they escape with Adrenaline/BT/DS/DH. This has become so bad that there are only 2 killers (Sally and Rin) that can consistently perform well in Red Ranks if they want to double pip and retain their Rank 1. Even worse - Rin was broken last update so unless you were Nurse your pip was a heavily weighted coin toss. Some killers such as Caleb and Triangle Daddy can sometimes beat a strong Red Rank SWF, but can't compete if they use the Genrush Strategy.

This is why I think the game should try and cut down on this stupid running in circles strategy to win every game without thinking. Instead, we should focus on the Stealth aspect of the game. I think most survivors (who aren't pathetic bullies) can agree that the suspense of a killer almost finding you in a hiding spot is far more thrilling than running around a pallet 10 times rinse repeat. The fact that there are 10+ pallets which can each last from 30 seconds to a few minutes (Bloodlust takes way too long to kick in) pushes the "chase killer only" meta that has plagued so many players into only playing Rin Sally and sometimes Caleb.

We want to play Amanda and sneak up on survivors.

We want to play Anna and line up a sweet hatchet on a Zarina who didn't quite hide well enough.

We want to play Lisa and scare survivors with our Phantasms.

But we can't - because the meta right now is looping, and any killer that doesn't excel there isn't viable.

    Complaining about looping. I ######### can't lmao.

As the title states, who do you think has the worst addons?

    Demogorgon no doubt about it

  • @AnnoyingNarrator said:

The problem is that all three can be easily abused for other uses beyond the intended use.

When Decisive Strike is active, you cannot be picked up. So you can do a gen, a totem, or just if you want to be really safe into a locker, and the killer can't do anything to you.

Head On has a similar problem. Head On's hitbox for the stun just makes no sense, and makes it very hard to grab the survivor hiding in the locker. This means that if you can get a locker before the killer gets to you, you can get a free stun even if the killer knows exactly where you are. This is stupid, as the perk is best used as a way to help your teammates mid-chase, rather than a get out of jail free card.

Dead Hard lets become invincible for a short period of time along with moving you forward. Now, this is all fine and dandy until you realized that it lets you step up trapper's traps, among other things. Because having a single perk completely counter a killer's power is totally a good idea.

These are the perks that I can think off the top of my head have this issue, but I would love to see if we can find more examples, especially some killer ones.

Complaining about head on? Lmao I can't.

Now im not knocking anyone who uses it and uses it well. But this perk literally is annoying to me as survivor.

Also I would like to point out that most people on this thread are saying, "it isn't the perk, it's the people using them." IMO, most bad players run urban evasion. Just saying.

Yes. This is how I see Urban Evasion and Self Care. Both aren't very great perks but neither are really bad. The issue is the way they are being used. Most people who use Urban Evasion literally abuse it in a bad way and crouch LITERALLY EVERYWHERE. Or they crouch to the corner when they hear the terror radius. With self care, I see survivors use it any time they are injured. If there is a survivor around you should not self care. If there is a person on the hook and the others are doing gens, don't self care, go for the save then you and the person you saved can heal each other. With urban evasion, don't crouch everywhere. Run to gens and if the killer sees you don't crouch to the corner, you're asking to go down in 5 seconds. Urban evasion and self care are not bad perks at all but you have to actually know how to use them for them to be good. I barely use either but this is just my opinion.

Hey there guys! Some weeks ago, I posted asking for advice on getting out of the limbo I was stuck in (Rank 12-10), and I've finally managed to move forward, now jumping in between ranks 8 and 7 :) I'm very grateful for all your advice as it has really helped me improve.

That said, it's becoming more and more common to be paired against Rank 3-1 survivors, and even though now I usually get "Brutal Killer" at minimum, I still find it hard to progress and do better, mostly because I still haven't settled on learning a killer good before moving forward. I felt comfortable with Legion, but I really struggle using him against higher ranked players because Deep Wounds isn't a menace at all and besides stabbing someone to see who else is on the map is about the only thing I can do with him.

I decided to go for some of the stronger "meta" killers, but I have problems with every single one of them:

-Hag: As I've gone up in ranks, keeping up with survivors working hard on multiple gens has made playing her harder, my traps trigger all around the map, usually on different edges, and I can't chase good enough.

-Billy: Chasing while using the chainsaw dash has always been impossible for me.

-Oni: Same as Billy, I can't seem to make any use of its power; dashing makes me lose sight of whomever I'm chasing, and I can't for the love of God hit anyone with the club lounge.

-Nightmare: I've found much more success using him than Hag, but the use of his snares is tricky at best, and I still feel survivors just aren't afraid of falling asleep, and it's the same thing: survivors just spread around the map doing gens very quick, my teleport will let me keep tabs on two at best, but even then that's not enough. The only games I manage to win with him are where my NOED wasn't cleansed, just to be called slurs on chat, more often than I'd like to.

-Nurse: If I can't hit people with Billy and Oni, you bet I can't do anything with Nurse.

-Huntress: I have terrible aim. I can't do anything in PvP shooters, let alone here that hitboxes are so wonky.

-Executioner: Out of those I'd say this is the killer I understand the least...

So, I know I'll have to stick to one of the stronger killers if I want to become better, but I'm sure my dumb self must be overthinking (or overlooking) something about them and at least one of them might be easier to use and understand than the rest. I'd like some advice again :( Thanks for your help guys, and have a beautiful day!

    Freddy, Spirit, and Pyramid Head...easily

Yeah I find that hard to believe, but who knows? I might be wrong which is why I am posting this discussion. If possible, provide a possible reason as to why you were tunneled and/or camped.

I have been tunneled and camped pretty hardcore before for being considered "toxic" or just for literally no reason sometimes. However, it is usually 1/20 games for me. Usually if the killer tunnels me and I know that he/she will not stop I will use all the resources I need so that everyone else remaining can escape. If the killer camps, I stay on hook without struggling (because I have kindred) so that my team will know what is happening and they can finish the match and move on.

Not trying to start a war, just curious as to how common camping and tunneling are for you. Please include things like rank or playstyle such as being a rank 9-13 or tbagging a little bit (tbagging is ok IMO, just don't get upset with the consequences) along with flashlight saving.

I'd say I get tunnelled 3 out of every 5 games and face camped 1 out of every 10 games and proxy camped 1 out of every 5 games. I'm rank 1 most, if not, all the time and I would say I am decently good at looping. I also bring flashlights and get flashlight saves but I usually don't click my flashlight or t bag or anything unless I'm legit asking to be chased so that the survivor he is chasing doesn't waste all the resources or go down quicker than I would. I would say tunnelling is pretty common though while camping is not as common.

Even minecraft is getting a visual upgrade, why would you settle for Clay by Daylight when you can have a beautiful shiny surface.

I guess we simply value different things.

Like no offense but the game isn't falling apart, not that I can see but if it is it's a fun thing to engage with, at least to me.

It is falling apart. This game has seen the biggest decrease in players from last month EVER. This game has been out for over 4 years and this month the most amount of people stopped playing. Ik countless people, streamers who streamed this game for life, and they are now quitting this game bc of the ######### state that it's in.

I propose an idea, that every time you are hit by the killer you slow down. This is to give a killer a chance. Here are some ideas:

Across all ideas: You begin slowing down after your initial burst of speed to get away

1 You get hit, you leave blood like normal, but gradually slow down. An energy bar will show this effect.

2 You get hit and it works like being hit by legion, except across all killers.

3 It works like legion, except that you leave no scratch marks for 8 seconds.

You reset your energy if you get up to full health from a med kit.

The problem here, is that when people have the ability to run full speed after being hit, the killer might have absolutely no chance. If this is wrong, correct me, maybe I and others just need to learn our killers better.

Another idea is that all killers get more energy every time they hit someone, and their speed permanently increases, or it stays fast until all survivors have healed themselves 100%

Just trying to balance things, because survivors have all gotten so many abilities now, it seems to ME, and I could be wrong, almost impossible to get more than 2 survivors.

Umm, it's not that hard to play killer. I've played killer games on my friends account and I have only like 10 hours of killer, he was rank 1 and I was able to get AT LEAST 2 kills every game. Most games I was getting 3 or 4 kills. It just takes a lot of game IQ and a lot of skill depending who you play. If you want some educational advice on killer, head to Otzdarva's channel. He does a very good job at helping people learn along with Dowsey. They are both very good educational killer mains. Also, this game is the most balanced that it has ever been so I don't think a mechanic even close to this is needed. Hope this helps.

I just had a match playing Blight, and its really hard to get around the map with him if every "Obstacle" he can bounce off of makes him straight up slide off of it. I can slightly understand the snow piles, but there's this sign right outside of the main building that's completely flat and 100% reasonable to bounce on, but you instead slide along it, even when hitting it dead on. Not even from an angle, just straight on.

Another thing is the invisible sky hitboxes for the main building. There are multiple spots up top where if you were any killer with mobility, your speed will be stopped by them. It shuts down a lot of cool plays you could do as Billy or Demo, and its a real damn shame too.

Let's also talk about the loops, and the general spacing of the loops. I've notice a trend in some maps that make them "Sided" or "Balanced". Dead Dawg Saloon is a pretty all rounded map because most of the pallets and building spawns are consistent. The killer shack, saloon, hanging station, buildings, and windmills are all in the same spot each time you load in, and there are consistent pallet spawns with each of the tiles. the hangman has the one pallet adjacent with it, and the same with the saloon. Ormand is consistently inconsistent with the tiles it throws out, and some loops that just don't show up anywhere but the Yamaoka maps are bountiful, and also incredibly safe. I can't describe it accurately but its the tile with the long wall with a window, junk in the middle, and the other side has a pallet that is the same direction. As much as I know, there isn't really a proper way to run it as killer. Now I'm not saying that those sort of tiles should be removed, far from it, survivors need amazing loops for their teams, but on Ormand, it shows up way too damn much, and there's often another loop next to it.

Personally, I believe if you want to make the game truly "Fair" instead of balancing perks, focus on the maps, since they play a huge role with all of it. After all, you can't play a match if maps don't exist.

As a survivor main with over 1k hours. This map needs to be nerfed. Hard. There's maps like Shelter Woods where the whole map is a deadzone. And then there's Ormond. Where even nooby players can just camp pallets and survive and experienced players can loop the pallets and still be fine no matter what bc there's a pallet right next to it as well.

Demo at the moment, is very much an analog to freddy, much like billy is to hillbilly - However demogoron has several drawbacks and shortcomings that nerf his capabilities to be a good killer, and make it easier for him to be beaten by top tier survivors.

His similarities to freddy and how they differ -

Freddy and demo both have forms of stealth, freddy with his lullaby and dissapearing upon a survivor being awake and outside of a certain range, whereas demogorgon has the undetectable status effect upon going through a portal. both are unique enough forms of stealth that can feel fun, however the demogorons stealth is ruined by both his height and his gigantic footstep sounds.

Freddy and demo both teleport, with freddy being restricted to generators that haven't been completed, and demo being restricted to portals. The two biggest drawbacks behind demos teleport are that he cannot do it from anywhere (he has to go to another connecting portal) and that he announces it globally, making it so that even though he gains stealth from it, players are tipped off very early to his teleporting.

Freddy and demo both have an anti-loop tool built into their kit. Demogorgons shred, vs freddys snares (or false pallets.) Both of these are very good and unique enough in what they do, however shred has currently got weird addon synergy, and no real addons that change it up, whereas freddy has addons that affect his secondary chase ability and what it does making every match different.

How to bridge the gap between freddy and demogorgon, and make demogoron not neccissarily buffed so much as easier to make useage of and more viable with all of his addons?

    • Upon teleporting, the global indicator is only active for people next to a portal, or within the demogorgons terror radius. similar to freddys teleport where you have to be able to see a gen, or will hear his whistling when your near him.
    • Have demogorgons footsteps silenced, or lowered when he is undetectable. (could also be done to 99% of the killer cast if im being honest, as it seems like a nice buff to undetectable, but demo currently needs it most.) he could also have an animation change for when he is undetectable, having his head lowered more towards the ground in a prowling state, in order to make him not as visible over objects, and also to indicate he's entered stealth.
    • Demo's shred could have more addons attached to it, altering range, charge time and giving it the possibility of a "charges mechanic" where if he has addons, he could shred instantly after another shred, in another direction giving him a giant skillcap to using his shred. also take away rat livers speed boost, and have it on his base kit, or make his basekit more functional without the requirement for rat liver.
    • And finally the biggest buff besides just reworking his addons to be better and more functional. allow him to teleport to any preset portal from anywhere. this could go inline to his other changes, or be in addition to them. Teleporting from anywhere could even have downsides over teleporting from a portal to balance it out (ie teleporting from anywhere could have no undetectable status effect, or a very short one, whereas using a dedicated portal setup could give him a longer undetectable and silent footsteps.) teleporting from anywhere could also put him on a longer cooldown in comparison to using a portal to teleport to another portal.

IMO, Demo is the most balanced killer in the game but he just needs an add on rework.

This isn't bait, I'm genuinely curious.

I know the onslaught of reasonings why Deathslinger is no fun to face (to the point of people calling for his removal from the game), and I'm sitting here

'But huntress is WORSE in thise regard'.

    Hear me out.

    1. Yes, Huntress has her humming, but here actual TR is the same as Caleb's, meaning she can benefit from M&A the same and it boils down to survivors looking around. The humming doesn't actually tell you that much about how close she is.
    2. Yes, Huntress has to charge up her hatches, but in the end it comes down to how good the player can aim. Just like with Deathslinger. She can fake her attacks just the same. Insta-shoots require training, so the 'shoot from the hip' people claim is so common with Deathslinger isn't that common at all (it's likely that a lot of red ranks also play FPS on a regular basis, which, however, will affect their Huntress gameplay as well)
    3. Iri addons: Deathslinger has to hit within a very narrow margin for the iri coin to allow insta-down, which again comes down to the players abilities, not the design. The iri heads reduce the number of hatchets to 1 (3 with belt) but again, it comes down to the players abilities. you see the head played much more often than the coin. The different hitboxes between the hatchets and the speargun also play into this.
    4. Huntress has more addons that mess with survivor's healing than Deathslinger, slowing them down quite a bit.
    5. Huntress' main perks are more powerful than Deathslinger's. Even if just in theory. BoP is great for people good at chases, TI is good when that's your plan, and Lullaby... speaks for itself. DMS only works with the obsession (It wouldn't be broken if it'd work with every survivors) Retri is only worthwhile with another Hex, and Gearhead requires two hits before it progs once before you have to get hits in. Huntress (also due to the lullaby and the hatchet range (though, again, requires an experience player) has more map pressure through lullaby alone, while Caleb has a lot of perks that require him to continuously move around the map without a guaranteed payoff. If we just compare their own perks.

    In conclusion:

At bottom line every argument brought up against Deathslinger can be brought up against Huntress too, yet the only beef people seem to have with her is the Iri Head, while Deathslinger can't do anything right.

    Why?

I can tell you why. First of all he's boring as hell to play against. Why? Well, as a survivor main, I know having distance is very important. If Deathslinger pulls his gun up and you try to dodge it you lose distance making it easier for him to hit u, kinda like Pyramid Head. Also, trying to dodge Deathslinger is nearly impossible unless you start trying to dodge before they even aim which gives them a better chance of hitting you and took them no skill. Why is it so hard to dodge DS? Well, it takes Huntress ~1.25 seconds to load up and Idk about you, but that is more than enough time for me to react to it and dodge it. DS on the other hand, takes ~0.15 seconds to ADS. 0.15 seconds!!!!! That isn't even close to enough time to react to him aiming down sight. Furthermore, DS has no cool down when dropping his gun which isn't OP more than it is boring bc it becomes the same mind game at every, single, loop. Huntress has a slight cool down/slow down after putting her hatchet down giving you enough time to at least drop the pallet or vault the window. Deathslinger is very repetitive which is why most find him boring. Thank you. (Proceeds to drop the mic)

I was so surprised. I've gotten 30K before, but never this close to a perfect game.

It's now making me want to try and get 32K, but that's easier said than done. 😂

You are right, the doctor needs to go.

His kit needs to be completely changed, he was changed because he was polarising and now he is worse than he was. He needs a complete rework that will erase once and for all all the things that are annoying

Yes😂❤️...thanks for the kind response ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • @alaenyia said:

I agree that Doctor is OP. And I say that from playing him, not against. I am not a killer main, I am a rank 16 killer but have zero problem winning matches with this killer. I can barely get a hook with Nurse, Billy or Leatherface (I am the worst with chainsaws). But just hook after hook with MD here. And as you all know even though I am rank 16, my survivors are almost always a mixed bag of ranks below mine all the way to red.

As a survivor I think that is they just took out the having to "snap out of it" it would be a fairly good change. It is beyond frustrating that when he hit his big zap you are incapacitated until you crouch and get un-crazy. So no heals, unhooks, gens nothing while you crouch in the corner screaming your location.

Doctor also already has built in aura and whispers, before he even straps on the perks. It is too many things for one killer.

Agreed, thx for the response ❤️❤️❤️

  • @DBD78 said:

He's a good killer but not too good. Boring to go against and boring to play, but all killers can't be fun. He is different that is all.

Isn't that just a ######### situation that you'll have a tough time with against most any killer. lol imagine if clown just kept chucking bottles at you while u tried to get that totem.

Does clown stop you from doing totems? Asking because I don't get clowns much not because ur wrong or anything. And when I do get clowns I don't get out in that situation.
