Most console players don't want this because of how PC players treat each other already. It would lead to more needless slurs being thrown around and more pointless arguing. Plus, PC players get salty af when they lose to a console player, especially one that played well and fair, and no one wants to feel a Steam players wrath.
-
It's DBD dedicated servers so, you shouldn't expect much, but it could also be a problem with your hardware. If you're playing on a last-gen console or low-spec PC then you're most likely encountering stuttering which causes you to freeze and then teleport in any which direction you were moving.

Apart from the standstill mindgame, Spirit is not that easy to play.
Standing still isn't a mindgame, it's being lazy. Regardless, a Spirit with a few hundred hours can just as easily win a match as a Nurse with thousands of hours because unlike Nurse, who takes nearly a thousand hours to master, Spirit can be picked up and mastered in a few days.
-
DBD won't have any competition until Evil Dead: The Game rolls around.
Evil Dead is clearly getting the love that a game deserves from its developers. It has been pushed back for refinement and cleaning, something many companies refuse to do these days and is big horror culture-wise. Evil Dead is arguably as popular as franchises like Friday The 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street. This status could garner it the attention it needs to at least make BHVR worry and put more effort into their own project.
PS: Scrap DBD and bring back Deathgarden, cuz that was way more fun to play.
-
If we're talking launch as in pre-nerf/buff for perks, then Dwight. Bond was the same, but Leader used to increase gen speed. This means that someone with Leader and Prove Thyself could rush gens with one other player.
-
It's one less crutch perk and will shake up the meta. Pretty much a win for anyone that isn't bad at the game.
-
The Neon skins on other killers are cool. Trickster looks great in his for example, but Legion's neon skins have been butchered. The Susie one is just bad; the new game convention one for Joey is ugly and the new SFX are annoying; Never Stop Slashing went from a masterpiece in the original art to a huge letdown in the final product.
-
I've been dying far more often now. The killers I get matched with are all veterans. In fact, I just played against a God Legacy Billy for the first time. My teammates seem to be about 4 levels below me, though. It's Urban Evasion and Self-Care every match. Even when I get matched with another competent player, the other half of the team plays as if it's their first game.
-
And yet, many people don't consider stretched res cheating. Just making a killer completely unplayable.
Just another reason to play Wraith over GF.
-
I like to look at it from the Wolfenstein difficulty perspective.
Most killers land in "Bring 'em on"
Difficult killers like Nurse land in "I am death incarnate"
Then there's Spirit. Spirit is the only killer on the "Can I play, Daddy?" difficulty.

The overheat is barely noticeable unless you're using double engravings. He's still strong and fun
But there's literally no reason to play Billy over Oni right now. Oni is superior in nearly every way.
-
Bamboozle should be deleted from the game for being used by low-skill killers to shut off average and weak loops. Seriously, how lazy do you have to be to bamboozle a T L wall?
-
BHVR has already mentioned that there is no plan to skip a chapter to work on the game health-wise.

So when i buy a new Digital nightmare edition i must start play this game from beginning?
There actually is no digital version of the Nightmare edition. You're forced to either pick up a new disk or purchase the DLC.

Im aware there are some that a hook across multiple games, however there is 1 which requires it in a single game. So unless you can get all 4 to be the obsession over the game you're going to have to tunnel 1 person then hope someone else becomes it as well.
The shortest drop that counts is one of the holes on The Game.

??? Oni's mori is far more gruesome than Pinheads, and I don't see any complaint about his.
-
"Compilations with audio files." Everyone knows this isn't the case.
-
Another bad one is "fall from a great height while being chase." Aside from the fact that you can lose chase mid-fall and not get progress, half of the maps don't have a building or drop that is high enough to progress the challenge.

It's funny as when I play killer, my ping is incredibly low, so I lose a lot of hits that I should be getting, but as survivor my ping raises to around 90-115.
-
I get more variety than just Spirit and Blight. However, since the release of Pinhead, I've only faced him twice.
-
At least they bring in a key in your games. In my games they're 100% guaranteed a key even without Plunderer's.
-
Moris were just a number change, whereas keys are going to be a full rework.

To get a iri in devout you need 9+ hooks, so essentially a 3k regardless of red rank/grade or not. The other emblems aren't really based on hook states or kills except malicious, which you should still get iri with a 3k + 2 hook state on a 4th survivor.
Iri Devout is a 4K.
10% for hooking all survivors once
10% for getting at least 9 hooks
20% for each sacrifice/mori/DC

Depends on your platform. He's far more difficult to play on console because of the limited sensitivity options.

DBD is undoubtedly a competitive game. However, the game is not in a healthy enough state to be played this way.

Thanks for all the quick feedback everyone. I've submitted the support ticket. I didn't know that this was something that happened enough for general community knowledge like this.

Didn't know that either. So does this mean I should go ahead and mourn my 150ish unspent Year 5 cakes?
Unfortunately, they're all lost

If you contact support, you'll usually be given enough bp to max prestige the characters you lost progress on. Just be ready for hours of bloodweb grinding.

Adept doesn't require a 4k - it's based on pips (2 pips), which are grade dependent. I've gotten adepts with 1-2 dc's, adept where last person got hatch in (formerly) green ranks.
I agree in theory what you are saying, I think, is that if you don't get an adept with that killer having low mmr (despite this thread not being about mmr) it will be a lot tougher to get, but certainly not impossible.
Assuming you play at red ranks, you have to get a 4K. All iri

If every chapter since almost 2 years ago suck, why people still buy them on release day?
It's DLC for an exclusively multiplayer game. Trickster was bad on PTB and bad on launch, but people still bought him. Twins could be countered by lockers for weeks after launch, but people still bought them.
-
As long as there is a place to stand and enough distance, Pinhead will spawn in front of you. Otherwise, he'll usually spawn behind you
-
Forgot about the Silent Hill chapter. Not that it really matters is it too had a bad launch.

The PTB isn't the only way of deciding whether or not to buy a chapter. As soon as the PTB comes out there a million videos dedicated to the subject. They can wait until the reviews come out, or wait until more updated videos.
It is fully possible for players not on steam to wait and at least look at the product before they buy it.
You still don't have a good idea though. Huntress is quite frequent at low ranks. She is one of the more difficult killers to play as, so if people bought her (if she was paid) not knowing the pain they'll endure in learning her, I'm sure they'd be quite infuriated.
-
They changed ranks because they can. Something to learn here is even though the decision may make no sense, and may not be good for the game, it still has a chance of happening.
-
Pinhead is one of the worst killers in the game, so I don't have any idea how you came to your conclusion.
I also don't want any more garbage survivor perks to take up room in the shrine. Desperate Measures and Smash Hit still have yet to make an appearance.

Maybe those people should inform themselves before buying the chapters? It’s not like the info wasn’t out already….
(also not all killers since Oni have been complete garbage. At all..)
Steam players can do this, sure, but for anyone playing on console or Windows Store or whatever, this isn't easy to do. You can't really decide whether the killer is good for you unless you've had the chance to play him/her. I made this mistake big time with Trickster and Legion.
Since Oni, we've gotten Slinger, Blight, Twins, Trickster, and Nemesis.
The Oni's chapter is imo the best the game has ever had.
Slinger's chapter was a flop. Cool survivor, but boring killer and bad map.
Blight is amazing. Currently one of my favorite killers. The perks and survivor are great too. More than made up for the lack of a map.
Twins suck. If you don't slug, you don't win, and slugging is boring for both sides. Survivors spend time recovering, and, at least when I play killer, I hate having to slug. Less points, potential DCs, salt.
We all know Trickster went down. Released as a killer at the bottom of most tier lists, and his buff just made him annoying af to vs.
Nemesis is good, for the most part. The zombies can be either stupid broken or stupid. The perks are all decent, and we got some good survs. Map was a mistake. There are leaked variations of the map, so hopefully it'll split the entire thing in half.
-
DBD is the kind of game that would benefit a lot from a visible MMR score. Show every player's score on the results screen instead of their grade.
-
Every chapter we've had since Oni (with the exception of Blight) has been complete garbage. The killers suck, the one map we got is currently the worst in the game, and the perks are either complete garbage or completely broken. The people asking for a refund have a reason, and with McLean gone, more of these posts will pop up.
-
Ranks actually meant something. Grades are simply a bp bonus, and an incredibly small one at that.
-
@KerJuice said:
They’re going to fix him.
Play against him and you’ll see his potential. Max out his perks- they’re pretty good. Give yourself time to learn him.
There is literally no reason to buy him over Clown. His slowdown pales in comparison to the Afterpiece Tonic.
The PTB should be used to balance a character; make buffs and nerfs. Instead, BHVR uses it as early access for the PC player base. Why have a PTB if you don't listen to the community and their recommendations?
-
Pretty much every move BHVR is making has made the maps less and less immersive. The old pallets looked brittle and dirty, how they should. The new pallets look fresh outta the horrible Gideon rework.
-
Cuz...
Dwight is far hotter

It's base BP that's uncapped right now.
Which is a good bug. They should keep it if they want to keep their playerbase after this (yet again) disastrous chapter launch.
I won't argue with you on that lmao.
-
Krampus and Minotaur can get new voices whenever since they aren't tied to a license. Cybil, Lisa, the Look-See, and the Mordeo on the other hand are tied to a license, so they can't get their own voices without approval from the license holders.
-
You could always go above the cap as long as you collected bp from ways other than matches. If they aren't talking about that, then it's probably a bug.
-
Of course, this happens a day before the cosmetic sale ends.
