Killer adepts should also return to this. Asking for a player to get 4 iri emblems is absurd, especially as weaker or more difficult killers. There was no reason for adept requirements to be changed.
-
Nope. Under no circumstances should a player be rewarded for failing his/her objective.
-
The pallet validation is horrible. Killers lose hits that they should be getting, and the scream without getting a down is disorienting.
Also, Huntress doesn't need yet another nerf because of servers.
-
Stridor got nerfed, so she's too hard now.

Tell me how finishing gens in 30 seconds or literally teleporting or using movement speed mods is being better?
30 seconds isn't actually that fast. 2 people, one with Prove Thyself can get that done by hitting great skill-checks.
Teleporting is most likely a result of the ass performance on consoles, dedicated servers, or high ping.
Speed mods could just be Sprint Burst or Lithe. Or, if it's a more subtle speed-up, it could just be Blood Pact or Hope.
-
Yup
-
Depends on the map offering. McMillan and Autohaven are a welcome sight, but I'd DC in a heartbeat after seeing an RCPD or Midwich offering.
-
I hate killers that have next to no chase interaction. Trapper, Hag, Twins, etc. They aren't good at most things; their shining spot is camping. That's annoying for the survivor who is most likely going to die on first or second hook, and it's boring for the other survivors that just have to sit on gens or 1-4-1 every minute or so. It's not an effective playstyle, and more often than not ends in low points and a safety or depip for all 5 players in the match.
-
Buff Camaraderie to double its duration and remove the requirement to hit skill-checks, and we've got a deal.
-
1. Nurse: Undisputable
2. Blight: Spirit and Blight go pretty back and forth, but Blight has the edge in mobility, and has much higher chase potential, especially with 5-8 STBFL stacks.
3. Spirit: Many Spirit mains relied on Stridor. Now, without that, most players can't track with her effectively if the player runs Iron Will or just plays Ace.
4. Hillbilly: Hillbilly gets points for being the most consistent killer in the game. He has the best mobility in the game, giving him the best map pressure, and benefits massively from built-in insta-downs. Oni would have taken this spot, but smart players are going to play it safe and drop pallets early, completely preventing the Oni from ever getting his power.
5. Pyramid Head: This may be an odd choice to many, but PH is the only killer in the game that can negate DS and Deliverance. Alongside that, he can save time by sending survs to cages instead of hooking them, and he can quickly eliminate tormented survivors with a swift mori animation. He has good zoning, even after his slight nerf, and he is one of two killers that can ignore solid obstacles with his ranged attack.
Spirit and Blight are interchangeable.
PH and Billy are interchangeable.
-
Because Ruin + Undying + Tinkerer Blight is one of the most run builds at red ranks. It's a broken perk trio, one that is on the same level of boring as "Forever Freddy."
-
Forums would blow up and surv mains would riot. Only real changes that would need to be made are reducing the number of hooks on the map and giving survs a third health state.

My friend is new to the game and hasn't even seen every killer in-game. But I'm still shocked.
I mean, it's mostly accurate if you're looking at it from "fun to play against."
-
Some killers just have a worse time on certain maps. That's just something you have to accept, but if you get annoyed over gens flying, then run Discordance or Dying Light. Dying Light is better than Thana if you keep the obsession alive.
-
99% of the players you went against were probably just good at the game or were smurfing. However, I will say that there isn't much effort being put into banning cheaters. The main focus seems to be on lesser important issues, like people who modded in unique skins. Even if someone gets banned, it's probably a Fog Whisperer that reported them because they're the members of the community that get any attention from BHVR.
-
PS5, SSD
Performance is barely tolerable
-
Only around 100K people actually play, and people leave daily. There has been over a 30% decrease in daily players since the RE chapter released, because people see the poor state of the game, and then back right out.
Taking the ~100K players and splitting them in half or in thirds would double queue times.
-
I'd prefer for the game to be fixed.
-
Just check your ping. You'll have better ping with whichever server you live closest to.
-
Alan Wake. Not necessarily obscure, bit most certainly not massive either. Could have some really unique perks and a cool killer power.
-
Didn't ask.
-
The already small playerbase doesn't need to be split in any way. Queue times would skyrocket.

It works fine, even better than intended. If you get "exhausted on the ground" - it means you just messed up the timings and pressed too early, or the killer just outsmarted and outwaited you.
But I agree with that they should fix dead hard: it must be nerfed since right now it's an unlimited second chance perk giving survivors several extra lives per trial. It should be "once per trial", and/or grant no dash and no collision disabling.
Exhausted on the ground is something people say when they use Dead Hard and get downed mid-dash. It's a result of the poor server stability, not your mistake or the killer waiting.

Definitely seems like a let down compared to Chapter 20.
One Killer with three perks is quite a bit lesser then one Killer with three perks, two Survivors with six perks and a new map.
They're not even advertising it as a Paragraph, like with Ghost Face and Leatherface. This is a full Chapter, apparently.
I don't think anything can surpass the atrocity that was the RE chapter.

I mean we hardly see the Moris now as it is.
Maybe if they were integrated into the game as more of a common occurrence then I'd be down to pay money for different ones.
Both moris and keys and being made default features in an update down the line.
-
He's a hybrid between Clown and Freddy, except this Clown can miss his bottles, and this Freddy can teleport away from where he wants to be. He has potential, but his power is incredibly weak in it's current state.
-
Survivors would all vote for Haddonfield, Cowshed, or Game when those maps become available. It would only lead to more killers DCing.
-
It's not just you.

so the game sucks without famous titles?
It sucks even with them lol, but it's no secret that this game only took off when the Halloween chapter was added, and only found its footing after having Saw, Leatherface, and A Nightmare on Elm Street added back-to-back.
-
It's the same as killers having to respect DS and Dead Hard even if the surv doesn't have it.
-
Can't wait for a boring killer with a chain as a ranged attack.
In all honesty, Pinhead is a terrible license to go for at the time being. Clive Barker is regaining complete rights over the franchise at the end of the year. If he wants, he could pull the plug before Pinhead even found a footing amongst the other killers.
-
DBD is only alive because of the licenses it brings in. If it didn't have the likes of Ghostface, Myers, and Ash Williams, it most likely would have died quite some time ago.
-
No more Haddonfield. Pog
-
Changed versions of the perks will be made available to all players through the shrine, but with altered icons. However, anyone that has purchased the DLC will keep the current form of the perks. Supposedly, this includes the current icons.
-
What's so great about losing game content? You'll eventually miss the map, especially since it's removal makes RCPD even more common.
-
Have you purchased any sort of DLC from the store recently or bought anything with cells? An uncompleted transaction would mean you got something and never payed, or payed and never got something.
-
We have Stranger Things which is more Sci-Fi than horror, but it's leaving the game so.

Yeah but let's not pretend that Demo was ever a popular killer; pretty much no one plays him even after his recent buffs, so it's not gonna change much in terms of killer variety.
No more Hawkins is great news though!
Demo is one of the most played killers at middle ranks and MMR. You won't see it at high MMR because that's only Blight, Spirit, and the occasional Nurse, but it was a popular perk at the more relaxed skill level.
No more Hawkins is terrible news. All it means is the chances of getting RCPD have raised.
-
Survivor was no different for me: bad teammates and Ruin+Undying+Tinkerer Blight or Spirit most matches.
As for killer, I had an easier time with lesser played killer such as Ghostface, but for Demo and Bubba, the killers I play more often, I constantly had 4-man groups and more often than not found myself on Haddonfield or Coldwind.
-
There may actually be one workaround for this problem. The Nightmare Edition of the game for consoles is only available in a physical format, and it includes the Stranger Things DLC. Unless BHVR pulls the edition of the game, or updates it to no longer provide the chapter (which would be ripping consumers off btw), then it could act as a way to get your hands on Demo after the termination date.

Yeah but if it was free, the number of hackers and griefers would triple, too.
People would just be able to make new accounts each time they were banned. It's why I dropped TF2 the second it went free 2 play; my clan had about 6 TF2 servers (and more in other steam games) and the sheer number of people we had banned over the years that flooded back in once it went free 2 play was staggering.
Some of these people had been nursing their hate for YEARS. Like, they could not comprehend that we had banned them for hacking or racism or downright disgusting player sprays. 🤮 In their minds; They were not at fault, and we were evil for punishing them.
Oof. I just stopped being an admin and dropped TF2 after that. There was no point in trying to keep a clean server when people we banned would just make a new steam account, jump back in, and do it all over again.
If they get banned at all. DBD has possibly one of the worst anti-cheat softwares in an online game, and going through the process to manually ban someone doesn't work unless you have video proof or multiple reports are sent in.

That's not entirely true, but also, i very much doubt that killers do that.
If a survivor stops playing, the survivors lose. If the killer stops playing, the killer loses. Same thing.
Also, killers are going AFK after grabbing the crown in most matches. It's exactly the same as last year, which honestly makes no sense seeing as these crowns have literally no value.

If they did this, then survivors would just grab the crown and kill themselves.
That's literally no different from killers grabbing a crown and going AFK.
-
I'd prefer an overhaul of the perk system and removal of tiers, but yes, some perks do need changed. However, I like This is Not Happening where it is. I always bring it in when I use a medkit with double suture addons.
-
Survivors should just receive the same treatment as killer. Collect the crown and be done; no escape catch.
-
If Dead by Daylight was free, the player count would sky-rocket. Whether most of those players stay is another question, but many people would like to get into the game as a result of their favorite streamer (No0b3 for many), but can't due to simply not having the money to spare for the game and/or an online subscription. Trust me, if DBD was free and did not require an online subscription, the current player count would easily triple.
-
While I'm sure the skin would look pretty badass and fit into his whole stealth mechanic, it probably wouldn't be healthy balance wise. It's already impossible to reveal GF around 80% of corners, so for him to be harder for the player to even spot could be broken.

Ah, I knew that perks like Deviousness helped you reach the cap of 8k in a certain category, so I assumed that those offerings did the same. Thanks for the explanation!
No problem, and good luck!

This is a result of poor console optimization. It effects PlayStation 4 and XBone. The official Twitter account has tweeted that the team is working on a fix, but for an issue of this measure to have persisted for nearly a month, I don't think the team is trying their hardest.
Honestly, this is probably just the first step in knocking off last-gen consoles as a way to earn more money in the short term. All games and DLC are receiving a price increase of about 18% from the last console generation to the current gen. Demon's Souls, a remaster, not even an original game, costs $70, so it should be expected that all companies will follow suit with the price inflation, save for Nintendo and the Switch.
-
Sometimes these people just have challenges to do. After using 12 maps and 6 white wards I was pretty fed up with the "escape through hatch with map" challenge, so I threw the entire next match. I didn't do gens, go for saves, and I didn't cleanse NOED, all so I could get it done.
