  • I play on PS4 and I don’t really have any issues when playing as killer. Do I get a lot of cocky teams? Hell yeah. I had a flashlight clicking OoO user the other day who was playing with friends and it was honestly a funny match for me, as they got destroyed. I just let them follow me around with their flashlight as it’s just one less person doing gens. I understand that you sometimes need a break from games but I don’t think the survivors are as bad as people make out. I actually find solo lobbies harder to beat as most of them just hide and leave their teammates to die on a hook. Whereas SWF are so altruistic that it works against them.

Wrong add-on. OP is talking about Fragrant Tuft of Hair, not Judith's Tombstone.

You’re right. I just saw red add-on and my mind saw Judith’s Tombstone for some reason.

I have actually gotten Fragrant Tuft to work a lot. Especially when you pair it with faster stalking add-ons. It’s actually very strong and I can get it to work for me with 3 gens left standing. I don’t use it a lot as I feel like it makes the game too easy for me.

  • This is also their PS4 bio which clearly shows what type of person they are...

These are brilliant perk ideas, and really fitting for the characters personalities too! Well done. I’d have a real fun time trying to get the ‘Adept Dean’ and ‘Adept Sam’ achievements with these lol.

Thanks a lot and so would I! So hopefully the Devs are looking at this thread and taking some notes. 😂

    @mrpieseller said:

I've seen many perk ideas for a supernatural chapter, however yours definitely are the most balanced. I especially love skedaddle, because it's basically an anti-tunneling perk. I would most likely be using that perk in my new main build

The only thing I'm confused about is off the grid? What exactly happens after you're unhooked?

Thank you! And what I mean by the status indicator being delayed is that when you’re unhooked it’ll still show you as being hooked for the killer. At level 3 it will take 6 seconds for the killer to realise you’re no longer hooked. Same thing would happen when you recover from the dying state. I think it would be an interesting way to stop killers going straight back to the unhooked survivor as it gives them time to get away from the hook.

  • @Siberia said:

I love this. Out of Dodge is an amazing idea for a perk! And Skedaddle could be real helpful against tunnelers, giving you that head start off the hook.

Thank you! And I’d definitely use Skedaddle if it was a real perk. It’s basically Sprint Burst but it activates during a time you’d want it the most. 😂

  • I posted my perk ideas:

So my idea for this chapter would be for Sam and Dean to be released as survivors without a killer. Similar to what happened with Ash. I tried to make their perks represent their personalities and also have synergy with each other’s. After all, they are brothers so it’s only fair they have perks that would work well together. I also kept in mind current perks we already have in the game and I think the ones I came up with could work nicely with a lot of them.

    Sams perks:

    Off the Grid:

Near death experiences activate something within.

Whenever you are unhooked, unhook yourself or recover from Dying State your status indicator takes 2/4/6 seconds to change.

“Insane is kind of what we do.” - Sam Winchester

    Fortitude:

If you are injured and repairing a generator you will passively start to heal. After a total duration of 40/30/20 seconds, Fortitude automatically heals you from Injured to the Healthy State.

If generator progression is interrupted, Fortitude reverts to zero.

“I see light at the end of this tunnel.” – Sam Winchester

    Guardian:

You know how to keep those around you calm.

You start the trial with 3/4/5 tokens. When another survivor misses a skill check within 16 metres of you the Loud Noise Indicator is ignored and you lose a token.

“We’ve got work to do.” - Sam Winchester

    Deans perks:

    Skedaddle:

Whenever you are unhooked or unhook yourself Skedaddle activates for 60 seconds.

Whilst Skedaddle is active when starting to run, break into a sprint at 150% of your normal running speed for a maximum of 3 seconds.

Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.

    “Keep grinding.” - Dean Winchester

    Brother’s Keeper:

You protect your family. No matter what.

Start the trial with a 25% bonus speed to healing other survivors. Each time a survivor is hooked you gain an additional 5%.

“My peace is helping people.” - Dean Winchester

    Out of Dodge

Knockin’ on death's door isn’t new territory for you.

When you stun the killer you leave no scratch marks for 5 seconds.

Out of Dodge has a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds.

“If you fudging touch me again, I’ll fudging kill you!” - Dean Winchester

That’s not true, he was very funny to play as and against

He really really wasn’t. He was annoying. You had no idea of where he was, as the lullaby meant nothing. So there was no way to stop being put to sleep. Plus whenever you’d successfully escape a chase he could always see your aura? It was just one of the most ridiculous things they’ve ever added to this game and there’s a reason he’s so different now.

  • I really love that idea for Second Wind.

  • @The_Krapper said:

Na man its really not appropriate , I'd personally quit playing the game and I'm sure there are many others who feel the same, just like there are plenty that probably feel the same as you , it would just open the door to alot more things that would eventually cause too much of a headache to even play this game

It’s a joke. Nobody genuinely believes he’s Jesus.

  • I almost posted this same question last night. Great minds think alike, I guess? Lol.

I personally think there should always be an obsession as then it makes killers think there is always somebody using DS. DS doesn’t bother me in the slightest as a killer as I don’t have to hard vision tunnel anybody to win a game. But as a lot of killers seem to play that way, it would be a nice change.

I don’t think you should be instantly downed after a hook just because the killer knows it’s safe to rehook you. It always makes me laugh how many killers complain about DS yet they’re the ones who make people feel like they have to run it.

  • I was just trying to escape and instead of doing the animation of me leaving, I had control of my survivor and could run around freely. So instead of DCing and losing my BP, I kept running and eventually fell off a cliff which sent me back into the game. I think I have it uploaded somewhere on YouTube. I’ll have to check.

Hm English is not my first language and correct me if i am wrong, but "good games" means that the games that were played (multible games) were good. Not the players. Anyway GG was always ment to be good game to everyone who was particiapting in a round, no plural needed. But whatever, gg, ggs, wp, all fine for me.

And for those who type EZ, ######### is wrong with you?

Well you could single out just one player who you thought played particularly well. So that’s why you’d just say GG to them. I personally wouldn’t add the ‘s’ at the end, even if it was to multiple people, as I don’t think it’s necessary. But I think that’s why some people do it.

  • I can’t see him being nerfed. Why nerf an already underused killer who actually takes practise / skill to master? He’s one of my favourites to play as and it’s actually a shame I don’t face him much on console.

  • I didn’t realise this glitch was still in the game. It happened to me as a survivor last year and I had to jump off the edge of the cliff which then threw me back into the map and I had to go to the other exit gate to actually be able to escape. It was so weird but fun.

  • It sounds strong on paper but it’s not which is why you rarely go against it. It takes so long to tier up and most experienced survivors will know you have it by how long it’s taking you to reach different tiers so they will most likely play more immersive. You can also jump in a locker to avoid being killed as it only works when the survivor is stood up. It doesn’t work like his normal Mori.

  • I hope it isn’t something as anticlimactic as a skin. Don’t get me wrong, I love getting new skins. But they shouldn’t be hyped up. If it’s Sidney, I will be so happy. It’s always felt wrong that we got a fake Ghostface without her as a survivor. Now that we have the OG Ghostface skin, all that’s missing is her.

  • The OG was the most annoying killer to go against. I’m so glad he got changed.

  • It’s not OP in the slightest. I’ve encountered it once as a killer and that was during the first week of release. I very rarely see it as it’s an extremely situational perk.

  • The killer can also get on there. I had a lobby where 3 people were standing on it and the Trapper managed to jump on as well to pick them up. It is annoying though.

  • @LordGlint said:

It works better against certain killer attacks. If a nurse blinks for example, they cant open the locker until they go through the fatigue afterwards, so you can leave safely then. Ive also seen people use it to successfully dodge a hit from Demogorgon's shred. Oni's 1 shot has abit of a windup so you can jump in a locker if they're winding up for THAT, then jump out afterwards so you hopefully have enough time to get to a window or something before they can windup another.

I did this against a Nurse and then I Head On stunned her and she DC’d. It was a fun game.

  • Mr. YeeHaw is perfect the way he is. So ya’ll heathens better change the subject. 😘

  • @Mozzie said:

I'm not a fan of supernatural, and nothing against those that are but I feel like Strangers Things has a bit more horror elements than that show. At least with stranger things the demogorgon is a pretty unique creature dreamed up by that show. What unique creature/monster from Super natural is an interesting character?

As a fan of both, I can tell you that Supernatural has a lot more horror elements than Stranger Things. But it’s not a competition. Nightmare On Elm Street is more of a horror than Stranger Things, but that’s irrelevant as they’re both still horrors. One is just a slasher and the other leans more towards science fiction. There isn’t just one type of horror out there and if you look at what licensed characters we already have in the game you’d see that.

As already said, I think Sam and Dean would work best as a paragraph chapter like Ash. We don’t need them to come with a killer.

It's a pretty cringy topic, for sure.

I am curious as to how he knows what any particular player has been doing all game, though.

I'm doubly curious as to why they'd try to slug the person prior to closing the hatch, giving them an opportunity to escape and get 7k for "doing nothing all game."

He doesn't know and this is also his second thread on basically the same topic.

Many people (myself included) replied saying that being immersed doesn't equal doing nothing all game. I play immersed because why would I want to actively get the killers attention? HOWEVER, I know how to put up a good chase and I will not be an easy down. If I get downed at all. I honestly have no idea why he made this thread again when he ignored everybody disagreeing with him and providing logical counter arguments in his other thread.

Here's his other thread if you're curious.

  • You waste my time so I'm going to waste more of my time instead of just moving onto another match.

Ah okay, thanks for clarifying. And forgive my londoner ignorance :P

Haha it's no problem. I used to play with a guy from London and he'd always laugh at how often I'd use the word 'dead' - it really must be a Mancunian thing.

  • To be fair, it can help people to get away. Especially if you’re running Urban Evasion as the killer has to guess which direction you went and you could be completely hidden by that time. When I’m running Iron Will, I’ll blind the killer and then walk around the corner and 9/10 they have no idea where I’ve gone and will start checking lockers and by that time I’ve completely left the area and they’ve wasted time chasing a survivor without getting a down / hook. Most people just use this tactic wrong and will do it in big open spaces where they can’t actually utilise it and leave the killers FOV.

  • You’ll never get rid of toxicity when playing with real people. So you have 2 choices. Deal with it or don’t play games online anymore. It’s simple.

  • @xEa said:

GG of course. What does ggs actually mean? Good GameS? Makes not a lot of sense. I guess people heared it somewhere in e-sports when it got sayed by a commentator after a series of games.

I assume you’d say ggs if it was to more than one person. As you’re making it a plural. Otherwise you’d just say gg.

  • I never say GG but I’m on PS4. So I’m not wasting my time to send somebody a message. 😂

  • Personally I’d say Jake should be the first because of him having Iron Will which is one of the best survivor perks in the game. I’d then say Dwight to get Bond, which again is a great perk as it provides you with a lot of information. If you’re like me and like cleansing totems, Tapp should be your next guy. As Detectives Hunch is a severely underrated perk and it’s one of the best in the game. Nancy has Inner Strength which is arguably the best self-healing perk in the game and it also pairs up well with Detectives Hunch. Maybe look into Laurie and Bill for DS and Unbreakable / Borrowed Time.

A lot of it comes down to the type of player you want to be. But regardless of that, Iron Will is often found in every match and for good reason. It’s honestly God tier.

What I don't get is "no mither" - in the perk text they use "can't be mithered" to mean "can't be arsed" but I've never heard anyone say that whether they're from Manchester or not. Maybe they should've called it "no arse"

edit: actually no arse should be a pyramid head perk since they nerfed his

I’m from Manchester and I use the word mither. It means bother. So if somebody is annoying me when I need them to be quiet I’ll say “stop mithering me” - so it is a legit phrase from Manchester. It’s also pronounced MY-VER as I’m getting sick of streamers saying it wrong.

Also we use dead as a way to say really and hard can mean either tough or something is difficult. As I’ll sometimes say that something is “dead ‘ard” when I’m struggling to do it. It all just depends on the context. As it can mean different things.

No problem! A lot of us definitely have our hopes up and it’s been brought up a lot, so I agree that it’s at least a possibility.

As for the killer, I figure they could take something from the early seasons. The most memorable that comes to mind is the wendigo, which is the first monster they faced I think. You’re right in saying that none of them are exactly iconic, as there’s been so many.

On the other hand, I wouldn’t mind if they just went ahead and made it a paragraph. It would be cool to be a full chapter but not necessary. The survivors would be the main attraction. Just like Ash & Bill.

I think the likely thing that would happen would be for them to just release Sam and Dean. However, they could do some cool things with the Wendigo and even the Scarecrow. I’ve wanted a Scarecrow killer for so long. I also imagined there to be different scarecrows scattered over the map and it can teleport to them. So you just never know when one of them is going to come to life.

I like the idea of a graveyard, but what about the men of letters bunker??

(Also Rowena as a legendary skin PLEASE)

I did think about the bunker but I’m just not sure how it’d work as a map as I don’t think it would be big enough. A graveyard is just very Supernatural and they could do some really cool things with it.

    I also found this online:

    19FDBDC4-E528-4CF9-9193-4F224AD681DD.jpeg

This seriously needs to happen. 😂

  • This is how I currently play. It’s always better to split up and work on separate gens. Plus, if the killer has BBQ / PGTW, it puts them in a position of having to choose which gen to use it on. I don’t mind being chased as long as I know gens are being worked on. It’s just annoying when you get downed and see 3 survivors all on a single gen. I feel like it just makes it easier for the killer.

  • @Buttercake said:

This has happened to me for so long I don't remember if it's always been this way. I play on Switch.

Bobby & Mary would be awesome. Jo too. But Castiel is a must for a legendary skin 👀

I feel like Cas has became just as important to the show as Sam and Dean. So I could definitely see him being a legendary skin. I just don’t think he’d work as a separate character. I could see them doing something similar to Ash and just releasing them as survivors, although I would love a map. They could do a graveyard and have the impala outside of it as an Easter egg. 😭

  • To be fair, you get it from both sides. I also get face camped by killers if I’m a pain in the arse for them to catch. It’s just the price you pay for playing with real people. There’s a lot of babies out there who will spit out their dummy if things don’t go their way. I will admit that I do receive messages more from survivors. But not all killers are innocent either as I feel like some want to receive abuse and they try to make survivors as annoyed as possible. People are just an odd bunch. 😂

It really would be. I swear I’m not being biased either lmao. Even as a fan, I could admit if something would or wouldn’t fit into DBD. Sam and Dean fit the bill perfectly. My other survivors would all collect dust too if Sam & Dean were in the game LOL.

I’m definitely really hopeful too. They’ve already gone through Warner Brothers anyway, and they seem pretty chill with letting their content be crossed over into games. So I can’t see it being too difficult to get the license either.

I’m the same way. I’m not letting my love for the show cloud my judgement, because there’s plenty of other things I love that I wouldn’t suggest for the game as they don’t fit in the slightest. But when it comes to the horror genre, everything is pretty much fair game.

I just know we’re going to get a Supernatural chapter. I can just feel it.

  • @DeanWinchester said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1450749#Comment_1450749

Agreed. DBD has been called the Smash Bros of horror. It’s pulling in characters from all different types of horror, not just slasher. It’s one big, crazy mashup. But because of DBD’s initial lore, it’s really easy for them to make it make sense for survivors to be there, no matter which license they came from.

It’ll honestly be such a missed opportunity if they never add Sam and Dean. They just scream Dead By Daylight to me. I’d definitely feel sorry for every other survivor though as I’ll never play anybody else. I’d just alternate between the Winchester bros.

The fact we got a Stranger Things chapter and that the recent survey had television shows listed as an option for licensed characters makes me feel nothing but hopeful that a Supernatural chapter is on the horizon. I can’t see it being too hard to obtain the rights either.

  • @HarleyQuinn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1450674#Comment_1450674

You sound like you’re close minded, if I’m being honest. DBD isn’t going to cater to one type of horror or era. They plan to keep this game going for years, so obviously there’s going to be more content than just stuff from the 80’s. Yeah, they’ve gotten most of the iconic ones from slasher films, but there’s tons more horror to put in.

Just look at the recent survey. They’re wanting to branch out and bring horror in from video games and comics and whatever else. Supernatural has been around for 15 years. It’s horror fantasy & would make the devs a hell of a lot of money. It fits just as well as Ash being in the game does.

You’re entitled to your opinion. If you don’t want it, that’s fine. But saying it doesn’t fit just doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Edit: Also, there’s a lot of people who want Buffy too. It’s not slasher, it wasn’t made in the 80’s, but it still fits.

Count me as one of those people that want Buffy Anne Summers as a survivor. 😂

And I agree with everything else you said. This game has never been about catering to slashers / 80s so I don’t even know where that came from. How exactly are Wraith, Billy and Trapper remotely slasher villains? And they’re who the game started with. It’s a HORROR survival game. Horror has a lot of sub-genres. And we’re now seeing that being explored a lot more with the huge variety of killers we’ve got.

Whether or not you like or have even seen Supernatural is irrelevant, it fits in with the game. Fact. It’s a fantasy / horror show and this is a fantasy / horror game. There shouldn’t even be a discussion surrounding whether or not there’s a place in Dead By Daylight for Sam and Dean as the answer will always be yes.

  • @DeanWinchester said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1450715#Comment_1450715

They did voice work before & they seemed to have fun with it, so I bet they would! Sam & Dean are also very close to their hearts. Somehow I can’t see them wanting other people voicing their characters if they can help it 😂

And yeah I’ve seen it asked for a few years now, so hopefully it’ll make an appearance. They’d have a whole new army of players & people buying that dlc lmao.

I’ve been wanting more survivors to have voices ever since Ash was released and Sam and Dean would definitely fit the profile as they could have some really fun dialogue included with them. It would be cool to also get a killer, but I wouldn’t mind a paragraph chapter as it’s mainly Sam and Dean I want.

What could be interesting is they could have them like Legion, where they come together but you’re able to unlock a P3 outfit for both. It would save the Devs having to come up with 6 perks then as they’re both brothers and both hunters so it’d make sense for them to have the same perks.

  • @tortrader said:

Look at your perk tiers. You're not really a level 19 killer. Matchmaking is working in this case.

You’re talking nonsense. You can save up survivor BP and spend it on killers. I used to do the same thing when I was new as I didn’t want to play killers without good perks. It’s like when people assume a P3 killer will be good when in reality it could be their first time playing.

Back on topic, I know it can be disheartening being paired with survivors a lot higher than your own rank, but the plus side is that it’ll make you a better killer in the long run. It’ll also make matches with your own ranks feel like a walk in the park.

1 … 4 5 6 7 8 … 17
