You really think hook suicides is enough to skew data 15/20%? Even so kill rates across the board would stll be above 50%
And you have to accept how ridiculous it would be to "cut out hook suicides" how do you think you reliable do that? If somone lets go 5 seconds before they die, that's a hook suicide, if they let go at any point it's a hook suicide.
Again, killers want these stats to be as thin as possible which is laughable, they removed DCs, now it's hook suicides, next it'll be games with less than 5 gens done.
Insane, it is you whom can't face reality, also do you have a source on "the stats aren't accurate" I'd be very interested in reading that.
Doesn't matter if they're above 50% if it doesn't hit 75 then the average is 2 kills per game which is a depip. Now thank you and Goodbye
-
I disagree 100% that the slowdown build needs to be nerfed. Survivors should have to spend perk slots and use toolboxes to deal with it. I guess people would rather keep the Meta strong instead of having to diversify.
-
Everyone screaming about the one character who can slow the game down but ignoring the huge amounts of perks and toolboxes that can be ran to offset this. That Freddy invested into perks and add ons to slow the game down, I don't see any reason why survivors shouldn't have to do the same to counterbalance it.

The statistics shows that every killer is viable in red ranks. So it shows that they are killer mains out there, that are capable of constantly winning games.
No it doesn't. Those averages are less than 75 and that's a depip or no pip at red ranks

It's does though. I play killer at red ranks on both xbox and PC and PC is typically much better players. I still run into red rank xbox players who never look behind them and just run in a straight line. There's also significantly less SWF on xbox.

Naw, but the frames being different, controls being different and other things like that DOES matter. He could give some basic looping advice, which I already know, but there isn't much else. I never said PC was better, as you seem to imply, I merely mean it doesn't translate well.
I wasn't implying that you said PC was saying that you were saying PC players were better and you invalidated his points simply because he played on console, which is NOT right. I know he wasn't that good, but the platform you play on doesn't translate to skill. You loop the same way in Haddonfield on console the same way you do in PC. Xbox has the smallest population so there's going to be a lot more solos, but that's less to do with skill and more to do with who you know.

Yeah, and from what i could tell watching, you are rank 12 and on console. That alone makes it where the advice you could give me wouldn't apply as I am higher ranked and am on PC. I also saw you do well as Wraith, only to let the last survivor bleed out basically till EGC killed them... watching them and following them and ringing the bell. So, basically being Toxic. Then you only got one kill on HAWKINS as Doc and that was by face camping during EGC... and then you went offline after going to a corner and staring at the ceiling. So, I don't think i'll be listening to your advice.
Being on console has nothing to do with skill the game play the same.

There is nothing to adapt to slowing down gens. He teleports to gens instantly with PGTW and maintains normal speed for unlimited snares. He milks on PGTW. I've never seen a freddy that didn't play the same, it is so boring. It's almost as bad as the old Legion that moonwalked.
Freddy invests into perks and add ons to slow down the game. Survivors could invest into perks to speed the game up with Leader, Prove Thyself, Botany Knowledge, Resilience, Self Care, and a tool box on top of all this.
-
@SleepyWillo said:
it's likely Freddy will get reworked again in someway if the stats released are anyway accurate. An 80% kill rate is a bit too much for a lot of survivors to accepts...
I do agree that forever Freddy is a true nightmare though
I believe the devs said they aren't going to touch Freddy's base kit. Add-ons POSSIBLY, but not an actual rework

I like to think Larry's is a good map for Trapper too, because of all the unexpected corners

Neither side is too easy to play, this is apparent when you’ve put a lot of time on both sides.
Survivor is definitely easiER. But not easy. Especially a killer who refuses to waste ANY time.

I remember when I was destroying survivors left and right I was on a nonstop killing spree. But then I hit purple rank. Only purple. No amount of showering could wash off the horrors that had befallen me that day.

The stats from before showed that the survival rating of a 4 man SWF group vs a group of 4 randoms only had a difference of around 7%.
It was for red ranks?
-
Because it's much harder to get to red ranks as killer than it is as survivor. Because it's easier to pip as survivor you get a lot of bad survivors there.

Those factors will change the numbers, especially since they combined console and pc stats. I would of enjoyed seeing console and pc stats seperate, what are the most used addons for killers, what are the most used perks, etc.
And they didn't even do anything with survivor besides the map, I want too know what perks are most used, what's the most used items and addons, what's the most picked survivor, what are survivor average survival rates per survivor, things like that.
Why? What reason would PC or console be separate? They aren't 2 separate games. I continue to ask this of people who declare that PC stats should be separate from console stats and I have yet to get a valid answer. The only difference between the two is framerate, which effects next to nothing in a game like this. Literally no difference.

It doesn't reward the killer for doing bad plays.
It rewards you for sacrificing your early/mid game power spike for a late game power spike.
This is like saying the perk Hope rewards bad players, because it activates once exit gates are powered.
If NOED rewards bad killers, then DS rewards bad survivors.
That's a Very good point
-
NOED doesn't reward failure. It's a perk that is designed for the Endgame. It's a trump card. Hell I can make getting to the Endgame part of my master plan (endgame Trapper, those exit gates will never open). Same with decisive strike. It's a perk that prevents tunneling and keeps things predictable. I'm fine with both of these perks because Dead by Daylight is a game that can be VERY punishing for both killers and survivors and I don't think that either side should be completely stomped by the other side's momentum.
-
No, but it will most likely be ported over to PS5

That's absolutely fair enough. Thank you for being so kind and reasonable in your response. I can definitely understand your concerns, I just think that they would be more compelling coming from the point of view of someone who has made a solid attempt at completing the challenges and can speak from a place of experience.
That was very wholesome

Did I say that ? No.
Most of the time, if more two survivors are hooked in the basement :
- the survivor was bad
- the killer was camping and got the second survivor because he was altruistic
(so fun to die on first hook btw)
Not always the fault of the survivor.
That's totally the survivors fault. If you knew then the killer was in the basement with the survivor then that was on you. If a killer is camping, never be altruistic, cut your losses and punish him by doing gens. Unless you have dead hard, decisive strike, and/or Borrowed Time.

I know, and I usually don't care about this stuff. Since I'm solo, I don't usually expect people to help me, despite the fact that I play on No One Left Behind style. I'm usually happy if nobody sandbags me (yeah, low standard is the key on DBD)
But this guy, he was literally the most useless person in the game and he was a red rank in a match with two brown ranks! And he was calling out the killer like if he have done something to deserve escaping! That really made me mad, even though I know it's pointless. Just wanted to share lol
Ah so the problem isn't actually the phrase EZ, it's useless survivors being rude and arrogant when they are in no position to be rude nor arrogant

Thicker skin helps. Common Decency shouldn't be expected at all in PVP games that are like this one. If you want to actually fix the issue, you can simply report instead of venting on the forums (though venting may help as well, as the OP does feel better.)

The only things these stats prove is that the devs need to stop giving them out. Even when the devs say that the numbers "are not everything" and can "be influenced by a number of factors", too many people want to use the numbers to spin their own narcissistic narrative because the game isn't balanced to their specifications.
I don't want to agree, because I find these stats interesting in terms of what everyone is picking. And I think it's a good idea to measure pick rate because it might be a measure of who's the most fun. However I'm going to HAVE to agree. The devs should probably stop handing them out. Otherwise we'll get post like this where people will be all "AHA! This PROVES that...."
And it's super annoying how people will outright ignore the devs saying "Do not draw any conclusions from this." But people will decide to make posts about it anyway. Like...stop...can we not do this? I'm so sick of these posts.

@se05239 said:
The thing about the stats they gave us is that its a mess of statistics from all platforms, merged into one. The only thing you can take for granted are the extremes (strongest/weakest) since its coherently the same across all platforms.
People should stop saying this. There literally is no difference between console and PC in terms of balance. The only thing that is affected by this is the framerate drops that deter some console players from playing nurse, but that's literally it. And even then it can still be done. Like seriously, where did people get the idea that there is this huge difference between console and PC its pretty ridiculous.
-
I like her the way she is. After everyone is broken, they refused to heal, that's more for me, I get to insta down EVERYONE
But for me people eventually do purge because no one likes being insta downed.
-
Freddy and Doctor. Forever Freddy because it's very devious ,amd I like the feel of a game that's much less punishing. I've been a long time Doctor Main and he's the only character I have at T3. It'll probably be Oni when he comes out.

..speaking of infuriating..
@Peanits, why did you (not like you-you) merge all the statistics (apart from Nurse's own) from each platform into one bloody mess? No platform treats their killers the same, so merging all of them together screws up the end result.
There's a reason why people don't take Behavior as a whole seriously. Why memes like "pretty good job" and such run rampant.
There is no difference between console and PC as far as balance. I don't know why people are talking like there is. Because there isn't.

Agreed, I play Doctor as my main killer and at rank 5 I rarely get less than 3 kills per match and Doc is supposed to be one of the weakest killers overall (dunno why).
Its harder to rank up as killer than it is survivor. You're playing against potatoes. And Solos

I prefer not forcing people to take a perk to counter a perk.
If they add it to the UI for both parties and tweak NOED accordingly, everything would work out.
That's exactly how it should be. I waste a perk slot now you have to waste a perk slot. And neither of us actually knows if we did waste it or not. Balance.
-
When it is optimal play then no, very survivor sided. But if you are a survivor with bad team mates, then it's a more stressful experience. But rank 1 you will struggle far more than survivors as a killer.
-
Slowdown Freddy
Chains, Green Rope, Ruin, PGTW, Sloppy Butcher and Tinkerer. 9, 10, you'll never finish a gen.
-
Huntress. And Billy>Huntress. Billy always has his power, is 115 movement, and on loops he can use Flick on his chainsaw to make a joke of loops and can patrol gens effectively. Huntress is 110, map dependant, and if you run out of hatchets mid chase you become an M1 Killer. An M1 killer with 110 movement speed...
-
Spirit was fine. Nurse was absolutely broken, idgas about ceiling. "Nice defenses you have there. It'd be a shame if someone IGNORED THEM."
Skill ceiling does not justify breaking the game.
-
Survivor with friends is THE most broken function in this game BAR NONE. You just can't argue otherwise you just can't. Luckily I play on PS4 and I hear that SWF is more rare than on PC.

His perks are quite good, Zanshin Tactics is a beginner perk but that's okay and it might have synergies, Nemesis and Blood Echo are pretty good not gonna lie.
Imagine Blood Echo with Barbecue and Chili, you can see a survivor from far away after hook, and you chase them but they have exhaustion and can't stop you.
I love it

yeah.. first impression is he's kind of weak?... I mean, still PTB but he's just a billy that depends on getting a hit on a survivor to get his ability up... that sucks a bit.
also... his add-ons are sooo basic! no creativity at all. Just numbers adjustments and that's it.
The survivors perks looks amazing on the other hand.. the recycling pallets one actually sounds overpowered but let's see.
Amazing design but overwhelming ability for the killer so far.
Getting a first hit on a survivor normally isn't difficult. Its usually the second one that poses an issue. And insta downing is NOT something to pass up

Cynicism past the point of logic, nice...

The most important element of this game is information. Spine Chill gives you additional information on the killer, valuable information at that. When you can't visually see the killer it especially tells you their intent. Are they just patrolling the area or did they spot you? It tells you if you need to relocate or if you are able to stay in the area and continue doing whatever you were doing
-
Closing the hatch is a good trade off for hatch grab
-
I think the reason NOED gets a lot of complaints is because it's a perk that you never know if the killer has it or not. It's extremely apparent if Ruin is on, but you never know if NOED is. And more importantly, it's a perk that surely has a presence but clearly isn't used enough if people would rather rush Gens. If NOED were to be run more often, survivors would be more expextent of it and cleanse totems.
My opinion is that if you're really that terrorfied of NOED, then do the totems. I've never played above purple ranks, and even then a lot of survivors are smart enough to cleanse totems. It's a perk that hinges on what the survivors do, to the point where you don't even have to see it at all throughout the entire game. And Gens can be done fast enough as it is, you can take that time out of the Gens and on the totems.
And even then it's still an opertunity cost because you may not even need it at all and could have used the perk on more viable perks, which there are. That's the main reason some killers don't run it, they sometimes may not even think they need it. Or it gets killed before the five Gens are done. It's a huge hit or miss perk, no middle ground whatsoever. If it's up it's really good or you may never use it.

I'm assuming you have never faced a good hag or even better you follow that idiot known as tyde time who's list is so biased on how well he plays that certain killer that its not even funny *cough cough running around with 2 traps placed as hag cough cough
Can you imagine calling someone biased while ignoring the points that were made? Peak performance arguing.
It's pretty obvious that the list is based around how well a killer does in the chase, which that Hag doesn't do so well at. On top of that her 110 movement speed isn't helping her. Yeah she can find survivors, but what matters the most is the chase, because if you can't catch up to them, what's the point? All of killers who are above the Hag in the list either has 115 movement speed, or has a power that helps with the chase. Or both.
