I played 20 games yesterday. There were obvious cheaters in 5 of them. I don't know how many subtle cheaters I played against, because I usually just blame myself for losing.
BHVR shouldn't lie about cheating problem. They should file a lawsuit against cheat developers, implement real dedicated servers (i.e. manage game state on the server unless some mechanic explicitly needs to be handled on the client) and improve anti-cheat to detect remaining cheats (wallhacks, aimbot, subtle speedhacks) + to make it work on steam deck / linux.
Edit: After posting this comment, I played against yet another cheating squad. So fun...

I don’t want to stop yall from complaining if that’s all you want to do but there is a support ticket method that gets hackers accounts banned (quickly). If you bothered. If you wanted to do more than complain on the forums.
I report them, but it takes 40 minutes - 1 hours to report a cheater (uploading 10GB video to YT takes some time). I can report maybe 1 cheater a week.
Yesterday I played with / against 5 cheaters (actually it was more like 8 cheaters in 5 games). Do you really expect me to spend 5 hours a day reporting cheaters?
Also based on my previous reports, it takes 5-8 days to get someone banned. I wouldn't say it's fast enough when people have hundreds of epic games accounts with dbd (source: Choy on YT).

dedicated servers =/= anti-cheat
Dedicated servers > anti-cheat
Anti-cheat will never detect all cheats. If game state is managed by dedicated server, it is impossible to use most cheats (except for maybe subtle speedhack, wallhack, aimbot and similar cheats).
-
Anti cheat won't help. We need real dedicated servers (with server side validation). Anti-cheat is only an addition.
-
It is an exploit, but a fun one and should be kept in the game.
-
It would be great if rancor worked after closing the hatch. I mostly use it for dailies and if I kill survivors too fast, I can't use the mori.

What if their names are just a list of squares or symbols, how can you report that?
I don't know. In my case it was only ASCII characters.
-
And if they aren't on Steam, how even fill the ID in the report?
I asked their support about it and they told me to just type cheater's username there. You can even report multiple players in the same report.
@Veinslay cheating isn't fun for survivors. And if anything it's killers who force them to ignore cheating problem. The best solution to most cheats is server side validation. Unfortunately every time they try to implement it, vast majority of killer mains protest and cry on forums.
-
I play against at least 1 obvious cheater every single day. I really hope devs will file a lawsuit against cheat developers, because I don't think they are competent enough to implement server side validation and upgrade anti-cheat.
-
As long as basement and indoor maps exist, I'd say yes.
On normal maps and on non-basement hooks it should deactivate.
-
If anything, twins deserve to be removed from the game. Designing a killer that benefits from bad ping more than huntress was a challenge, but devs managed to do it.
Twins shouldn't be playable in pubs if killer ping is higher than 80ms.
-
Stealth is boring. A lot of people would probably quit.
-
Huntress.
It feels so good. Especially after a bad game.
-
I hate all map offerings.

They literally added validation for it. Effectively making it the best perk in the game. That's a direct buff.
Hit validation isn't a buff. Everything should be validated by the server since the day they enabled dedicated servers.

Did Dead Hard really need to be buffed? Did survivors really need boon totems?
My answer to both is no. Your answers to your questions are incorrect.
Dead hard was never buffed though.
-
"I can apply extreme pressure as clown at rank 1" (it was long before MMR)
-
Victor should be nerfed. It is impossible to play against twins if killer has high ping. No need to make it even worse.
-
I play with toggle ON, but it already got me killed once against the artist (I wanted to vault a window, but I forgot to cancel repelling), so I might disable it in the future. I also forgot to cancel self unhook attempts a few times.
It would be great if it only worked on gens.

Nah, it happens to most killers. Twins just get more affected by it. Which is why nobody want to play them.
It's good that nobody wants to play them though. Twins are the most unfun killer to go against.

Yes. I have nearly 3000 hours and play since june 2019 (steam, EU region). Except for lagswitchers, I only played against 2 obvious cheaters before 5.0.0 patch. Since RE chapter I play with or against at least 3 cheaters a week.
I even recently played against a survivor that was able to send chat messages from my account (or they just changed their nickname in chat without changing steam nickname). I hope BHVR mods can see who was the real author of those messages.
The worst thing is that I can't even report anyone, because I don't record my games (alt-tab crashes nvidia shadow play for some reason)...
-
Yes - if they add casual mode
No - if it's going to be the only mode available
-
I played on fractured cowshed 17 times in a row as a killer...
-
I can't play against blight :(
If I learn to counter him, I will probably change my mind.
-
Baby bubba is always fun, but skilled bubbas are extremely boring to play against.
Nurse is probably the most fun killer to play against in solo Q.
-
I only played against plague and pig 8 times in my last 494 games (the most common is blight - 44 times).
-
Too much grind.
They could release it as DLC though (the DLC would be only playable in KYF and maybe some special game mode)
-
IMO hatch should open 15-20 seconds after the DC.
Is DCing for hatch still a thing though? Last time it happened to me as a killer was before macmillan estate graphical update.
-
why? I don't use addons anyway and I have all perks on them
-
I dont spend any bloodpoints on my mains.
-
I love double engravings as both killer and survivor.
-
Wraith - I simply hate him.
-
We can leave BL1, but BL2 and BL3 are not needed on any map anymore and should be removed.
-
My last 172 survivor games (ranks 1-5):
- 16 x Bubba
- 12 x Wraith, Blight
- 11 x Nurse
- 10 x Trapper, Deathslinger
- 9 x Legion, Huntress, Spirit, Nemesis
- 8 x Hillbilly
- 7 x Myers, Trickster
- 6 x Ghostface
- 5 x Pig, Oni, Hag, PyramidHead
- 4 x Freddy, Clown
- 3 x Plague, Demogorgon
- 2 x Twins
- 1 x Doctor
Edit: There were more blights, but I only count games with at most 1 DC.
-
Ranks 3-5. Last 70 games:
- 8 x Wraith
- 6 x Bubba
- 5 x Blight
- 4 x Freddy, Huntress, Ghostface, Myers, Billy
- 3 x Plague, Legion, Clown, Trapper, Trickster, Hag, PyramidHead
- 2 x Nurse, Pig, Oni, Deathslinger, Spirit
- 0 x Doctor, Demo, Twins
-
Wraith. Completely useless without addons (I never use any addons on any killer), his power isn't helpful in chases, no instadown either and even his stealth ability is trash (ghostface does pretty much the same thing, but better, and if you want to be invisible then you can always play spirit). He also has the worst teachables in the game. The only good thing about him is Bone Clapper addon (I like the sound the bell makes when you use this addon).
-
If it's any skin from Outlast series, I would instantly buy it.
If it's Kate skin, I would consider buying it.

Must be your region or rank then. I get wait times of <1 min, rarely any dodges (at red ranks)
Central/eastern europe, also red ranks
-
Last time I disabled crossplay, I waited 30 minutes for the game and we got dodged by 23 killers in a row. I don't think I want to experience this again.
-
As much as I love billy, I think bubba is a bit stronger now.
-
It usually takes me about 140 hours to complete a rift, so 1 hour a day is definitely not enough, but 20 hours a week should be just fine.
-
It's way easier to meet popular streamers and devs on PTB. I played against True and a few less popular (1k+ followers on twitch) steamers. I also played against Almo once.
On live version I never played against any well known content creator.
-
Quentin. Every prestige quentin is useless teammate and toxic survivor.
-
Wraith.
-
I can't count to 3...
Against:
- Billy
- Bubba
- Huntress
- Demo
As:
- Billy
- Freddy
- Legion or Spirit (I am not sure, when I play for fun I only play billy anyway)
-
I like thompson house and rotten fields.
Torment creek is ok.
Rancid abattoir is terrible.
And then there is fractured cowshed... I have no words to describe how much I hate this map.
-
I hate all of them
-
Wraith. I hate to play as and against him.

I just think that it would be unlikely that Red Barrels would agree to having Marta in dbd and that Behaviour Interactive would even consider including her. I might be wrong though, I hope I'm wrong.
I also hope you are wrong :D Marta was my favorite antagonist in the entire outlast series.

After 2000 hours I don't think playing killer is that stressful anymore.
On the other hand playing survivor gets worse with every update. You are more and more reliant on your teammates and because matchmaking and ranking system suck, teammates are getting worse every month.
If nothing changes soon, solo survivor can become way more stressful than playing killer.
