  • Why reinvent the wheel when there is already programs out there to do that.... Don't need to hear the killer... Don't need to hear 12 years on the voice comms... The Devs have a hard enough time working through the bugs in the current game as it is, then too add an entire coms layer into it.

If there is any in game disadvantage to using in game coms, then everyone would just switch to the 3rd party programs again.

  • OP Still doesn't get it... The vast majority of the players in the game don't care and just play it out. Blames the Devs for their inadequacies. Grow up. You talking about how you give up isn't going to make the Devs make any changes to the map.

It is the same as if you go on some rant about the game and changes you'd like to see, while at the same time bashing the Devs in your rant. It gets ignored.

Be an adult, since you need to be 17+ to play this game, put together a constructive list of changes you'd like to see on certain maps you don't like. Then post it in the balance feedback, or where ever else it is supposed to go.

Coming into the discussion forums and making the post you did, is like a little kid stomping on the ground throwing a fit because they don't get what they want all the time.

  • Oh man.. Cry baby posts about justifying why you DC in a match.

Anyone DC'ing because of which killer they face.. Which map they play on... Go cry somewhere and try to get stroked elsewhere.

You rage quit.. I get.. It happens... but you shouldn't DC in the game. Play it out. RNG is there for a reason... If you can't handle it, then don't play the game and uninstall.

You basically made a post about how a ######### community player you are.

This and when the devs post an update like they did with camping/tunneling/looping not being reportable what argument will you try next? The reason they haven't done anything is because they've said it enough times it's well known it isn't bannable to use voice comms.

You lot can keep lying and trying to twist things to fit your narrative but it isn't ever going to work, voice comms aren't a bannable offense. As @SenzuDuck pointed out you lumped all that stuff together so of course you got the carbon copy response.

You also knew before you even sent that you were going to get that type of response since you had no intention of asking about voice comms only. Again the depths that you few will go to just to lie and start a flame war is astounding.

lols... directing that to the wrong person. Using SWF with VOIP isn't going to get anyone banned anytime soon. I'm telling the other person to start reporting for it, cause they want so hard to get it "removed" from the game. So I told them to start reporting it, cause it isn't gonna do them any good. Good luck with it :) I was being sarcastic.

The same small handful of people keep coming out and trying to call people cheaters and the such for using it. I always love seeing the 3rd party program rule come out, which is usually does.

Try hitting ruin skillchecks at 30 fps and say that again. Some people just avoid skillchecks cuz the performance in this game is a ######### and they can't run 60 fps

Are you cereal? lol... I don't get 60 fps... I get about 40 if im lucky... I have no problem hitting them. Perhaps stop playing on a potato. There should be no issues hitting those skill checks on 30 fps. Skill checks are all client side.

All I can say is.. When I play survivor, which I do mostly, and I see survivors in the high ranks gen tapping... They suck at skill checks, which are pretty easy to hit with practice. They aren't doing it because of 30 fps.. If that is the excuse they must be only getting 10 fps, and it isn't my fault they are playing on a potato.

Gen tapping is what noob survivors do.

They are doing it because they can't hit great skill checks and/or, want to bypass ruin and lullaby.

Not talking about consoles either... PCs. I don't know how anyone plays on consoles.

  • Gen tapping allows other survivors see who the nub teammates are on their side.

There has been introduced a new report system in case you havent noticed.
We know that voice comms were fine with the old one.

But apprently they are not fine with the new one

Then start reporting it then.. we'll see how many people get banned for it. GL with it.

  • haha.... Post moved to Off-topic.

No one has been banned for using discord or any other chat program.

The silly billies that like to stoke the fire, pulling up BS then twisting it into their arguments, yet the point still stands.... No one has been banned for using VOIP while playing SWF.

No matter how much you want to try and argue a failing case, it doesn't change the fact that....

No one has been banned for using VOIP while playing SWF.

    Off-topic... lols.

  • I thought it was the shirt with adam... he has 2 vests.

  • Nah Bond is still the best one.

  • Shouldn't it be where you hit the killer between the eyes with the pebble, they die.

  • That is funny. Did you read the actual article...

You: HEY EVERYONE!!!! APPLES EQUAL ORANGES!!!

    luls!

People have been offering legitimate balance ideas and completely biased balance ideas since day 1 of this games release. The developers over at BHVR clearly want this game to go as THEY intend and do not want to create a true horror game but rather a casual game of tag with knives.

Nothing has changed that hasn't been revert near instantly, nothing has improved that hasn't been mucked up in some way and nothing will make this game what people had truly hoped it could be. I'm not saying everyone has to jump on my train of thought here but it certainly saves you trouble when you learn you will have no affect on the community so long as the Devs are in the mindset of "we decide whats best".

For Honor is a great example of the road DBD is going down. Slow to improve anything, quick to revert changes, hype DLC that offers no community suggested changes and a dwindling amount of hope to see the game at the potential it could have reached. DBD won't "die" but it won't remain a huge success should another game come along that follows the asymmetrical horror theme properly.

I like to view DBD as PUBG vs Fortnite. We are simply waiting for that "Fortnite" comparison to take root in this genre to challenge DBD (PUBG)'s claim to the throne.

PS: I don't enjoy Fortnite but the analogy works all the same.

    EDITED TO CORRECT GRAMMAR

What game have you been playing?... I don't want to write a novel.. so easy to pick at everything you talk about in your post.

What I get from it is. You aren't happy with some of the changes they've done, because they want to make a game that goes with the vision they have created. Too bad.

I wonder if everyone gets scared, like they are the first time, after watching the same horror movie ten times.

Every game will "die" at some point. Nothing lasts forever. Their goal is to make it last as long as they can. You can't expect them to implement everyone's ideas, just cause you may like them. You can't also expect them to try things, find out they don't work, then change them back. Seems very obtuse of you to think so.

Your comment about another game taking over, is like saying the sun will come up tomorrow. Eventually it will.

  • If you do it... use your driver software. For example if you have a razor mouse or keyboard. Their software allows you to setup macros and that.

Don't download a 3rd party macro tool to do it.

How and where? Because I could not find it. Or is that a console thing? I'm on PC.

The little double arrow button beside the chat box in the lobbies. Press that, it will hide or show the chat box.

I'm on PC, I know it is there, not sure about consoles, but probably they got it too.

  • @DeadByFlashlight said:

You say killers and solo survivors are getting buffs, nothign has happened so far yet, that did NOT happen during the last updates.

Whether you buff soloszurvivor and killer or nerf swf doesnt matter, but nerfing SWF directly is the logical approach and is easier balance-wise. "Nobody likes to get nerfed" omg dude, pls grow up

Why do you think survivors see notifications for totems?... Perk notifications?... So solo survivors know ruin is there.. that you have we'll make it... etc.

Killer buffs?... Why did Mr Bing Bong get buffed?... Trapper? Why are they looking at other killers?... Because of solo players?... Nah.. cause they need to be more powerful to compete with SWF. Killers don't need to compete with the solo players as much as the SWF players. You know the difference between the two groups. No one is coming here complaining about being matched up against 4 solo players.

These kind of things are happening for a reason. They need to bring up the information level of solo survivors so they don't get screwed over by not being in SWF using VOIP. Killers wouldn't be touched if they only were playing against solo players.

It is psychological. They put out a nerf... People cry and ######### about it. They put out buffs... People are happy.... Make sense? I think you haven't been paying close attention to what the Developers talk about on streams.

  • At least you didn't name shame them on here. Good idea to block out their names.

    Kill them with kindness. :)

  • @DeadByFlashlight said:
buffing the killers would hurt solo survivors
Thats why its the correct solution to nerf SWF

However that isn't what is going on. Solos are getting buffed to bring them to SWF levels.. Killers are getting buffs to compete with SWF. The Devs have been doing that the last few major updates.

Nobody likes nerfs. A nerf comes out and people complain. So why nerf... Buff. Everyone likes buffs. It is a mind game that is being played to keep people happy. So stop calling for nerfs, won't happen unless it is absolutely needed. Buffs are the way to go.

  • Turn the chat off if you don't want to use it. There is the option to do that. So you can actually remove it yourself.

Why nerf survivors playing SWF?... If anything, you are seeing killers getting buffed because of SWF. Buff killers for SWF, don't nerf survivors.

  • Too bad someone quoted your original post with the killer's profile in it... Damage already done.

the que problem become like 203 weeks ago
    its not about BP
the hight rank all the time was about - stay in lobby for 10 mins to get a 5 min game
and what skill about you just say?
there is the same ppl playing all over agayne and there is many survs who alrdy derank too
i know for 100% that devs will not gona do any moves to fix it(mby even broke more) but ranks in this game mean like 0 since surv have a free way to unplug

nice... 203 weeks was about 3.9 years ago..

The current queues has nothing to do with rank but with people farming BP for double bloodpoints which is way easier at lower ranks using killer.

Why would a survivor play in the high ranks against try hards and get way less BP?

Just derank the normal way, if you play allot then it doesnt matter.

Why unplug if it ment you wouldn't lose the 3 pips... that defeats the purpose of deranking.

Not going to spend points to remove the rank.. just DC or do nothing in the match.

  • @Ashkiin said:
There's something wrong. Survivor mains will be survivor mains, they might try the spirit but they won't for long. Specially a killer that hard

Why take the spirit if you are farming points on double BP weekend. The Devs have even stated her points are too low and will be addressed in the next update.

Doctor is the way to go. Maybe even Mr Bing Bong.

Earn way more BP playing at rank 15 then you would playing survivor at 10+.

  • @Darktronik said:
the patch notes is referring to an animation of a survivor saving another one, I believe. Nonetheless, 1.2 seconds is the animation itself. When a survivor regain control, there is no animation anymore. 1.2 seconds has past.

No it doesn't, read it in the video itself right under the line that was highlighted.

"The animation for freeing oneself from the hook has been reduced from 2.4 seconds to 1.2 seconds".

1.2 seconds is the speed of the new animation.

However maybe it stems from when that 1.2 seconds is measured. Is it measure from the beginning of the killer's swing, or at point of impact on the survivor.

  • @Killigma said:
1V4, 4 Survivors can work up just as much BP working together than a Killer on there own.

Maybe on comms playing SWF, as randoms not so much.> @CoolAKn said:

It's a 4v1 scenario, so role does matter. Killers have scoring events that are unique to them and survivors have completely different scoring events. The bloodpoints at the end signifies how much you actually did during the match. The more blood points you get means you did a lot of scoring events during the match.

The issue is the bulk of points is geared to the end game for survivors. 5K for escaping, or more for escaping. The killers BP is earned during the match, with more end game mechanics for killers to kill at the end, the end game for survivor is harder. The curve for how survivors earn points needs to be spread out during the match and not focused at the end.

    @Killigma said:
Sorry, yeah you are wrong. The Killer starts of at a disadvantage...1v4. A team of Survivors can easy beat those BP when they work together. If they do not work together, that is the Survivors issue. The Killer should not be penalised since they are already at a disadvantage. I mean think about it, it is 1v4 and even the end game result sucks, what is the point? Would you honestly still do it? I think not.

Killers are more powerful to survivors, it isn't a 1 to 1 ratio of balance in that reguards. Random survivors have a harder time working together in a more coordinated fashion unless they are on VOIP. Killers are not at a disadvantage BP wise to survivors at any point of the game. The end game is evolving and will be even more powerful with more patches. It is way different now then it was a year ago.

    @ToastfaceKilla said:
Killers spend more, we don't keep our add-ons, so we need to constantly use bloodwebs, even if we have all perks. Also to "Main killer" and keep a few, if not all Killers, because you know they are all unique and not just skins, equipped with decent items and perks, is an insane grind. All survivors need is to get everyone to lv 40 to get the teachables, and then just pump everything into the one survivor skin you want to use.

It is funny when I see killers using this argument. I have way more addons for my killers then I have for survivors. Survivors aren't ment to escape every match, they lose 3 items to your two if they die. Every survivor player isn't supposed to make it out. If you go based on the average of 2 kills, and everyone brought in items for the match with addons. That would be 6 items lost on survivors compared to 2 for killer.

Killers aren't peppered down with items and addons, but just addons in the web.

Killers do need to do more work in the match, however it isn't as difficult for killers as it was in the past. The curve for survivors earning points needs to be increased during the match and not focused on escaping to get the bulk of their points.

It isn't just as simple as increasing the amount of BP, but maybe decreasing the escaping points and spreading some of that over the middle of the match.

  • They changed the animation I think to 1.2 seconds for the self unhooking. Yeah needed to wait a moment longer.. too bad.

Says so on the next line that you highlighted. So probably was a laggish type of issue.

  • @DukeJukem said:

yea yet death garden has dedicated servers yet less than 20 people are online right now. makes total sense right? and yes dedicated servers would help with matchmaking. p2p is based on the single hosts connection and there is no way of ensuring a quality connection with said host, be it when it comes to finding a match (connecting to the host in general) or during the match. how many times have u seen 60 ping in lobby then u get in game and its laggy as all hell. could be a lag switch or torrent etc.....but it could also be the fact the killers connection isnt strong enough when the actualy game loads compared to sitting in a lobby. dedicated servers would fix alot man.

Don't forget DeathGarden is in early access aswell. I imagine they learned allot from their release of it in EA and will be retooling it quite a bit. 20 people playing an early access game is kind of irrelevant.

  • hehehe... waves the magic wand... Dedicated servers..... DONE!... ggs....

    See you in the fog.

I loved the ASAP btw... made me laugh even more.

  • @Bug_Reporter said:

Survivor is already easier to play, if gaining points were easier, why would someone play killer anyways?

Then keep waiting for lobbies. Who wants to play survivor when you can earn way more points playing killer when it has been getting easier and easier for them?

Easier to keep your killer at low levels and play there to get way more points then to jump into higher rank games and not get as many points.

  • Yeee... Too bad the Devs still haven't noticed it is easier to earn BP as a killer then a survivor. Survivor need more points in the match to make it so there will be more playing during these kinds of events.

  • @Jack11803 said:
No, “because it doesn’t make sense to reward for nothing” -killer mains who make way more BP anyway and still ######### about something that doesn’t effect them

They aren't so much be rewarded for nothing.

Survivor gets found first... Survivor gets hooked... Survivor wastes the killers time... Survivor unhooked repeatedly from same survivor chump, who sees that survivor as a bag of points. That unhooked survivor, gets killed off early.

    Here is another scenario...

Survivor gets found first... Survivor gets hooked... Survivor is unhooked with killer close by / camping... That unhooked survivor disconnects with 5 gens still left to do. No much time wasted by killer, killer the goes onto 4K the match.

Wasting the killers time, doesn't equate to nothing in this game.

Time is one of the most precious commodities the killer has.

  • holy crap another thread.

Hey devs... Tell everyone exactly how the game is to be played so we get no more variation in the game. You must play a specific strategy ONLY. OR YOUR BANNED!

Oh wait... They actually sort of do this with the emblem system.

BUT, now it has to be put in to penalize people just for playing the game how they want!

Come on DEVS.. Seriously... EVERY GAME NEEDS TO BE EXACTLY THE SAME. Either hook everyone 3 times each before you get ANY points!

    Seriously.. come on.

Let the devs tell you how you need to rank up, but the varied playstyles and the ability to play the game the way you want, is why this game is fun. We don't need the Devs to hard code in no camping rules and the such or this game will begin to get boring way faster. Not everyone is playing this game to make the opposing side have a good time with rainbows and sunshine.

Why would there be an insidious perk if they didn't think camping was a strategy?

  • uhmmm.. there are more survivors then killers.. who cares how many perks there are.

  • 00:00 UTC on the 21st.. So whatever that translates to your timezone. For me it is 8 PM EST tonight.

  • I wish when people necro'd something that is over a month old there would be a flag on the post somehow. Then an insta time out for the person doing it.

  • @qpwoeiruty said:
Can you use the perk multiple times? I don't have it unlocked but the wiki says its deactivated on use and people keep calling it decisive rock lol... I think if you can use it multiple times a game it could be fun but if you only get one rock... lame

You can use it multiple times. It charges while you are in the killers terror radius. Takes 30+ seconds to charge it.. then it will activate, then you can throw the pebble.

  • Can you please do us a favour? Could you please call the ambassador to China and ask them if they need their wall back?

  • @Tsulan said:

Wait... are you implying that i´m a low rank killer?

I'm implying people just deal with it, like other players and not everyone should be expected to be rank 1 or win most of their games. Maybe they are setting the bar too high for themselves, or think they are playing better then they are. Then they face some players who just plain out play them over and over. Then realization that maybe they aren't as good as they thought they were sets in.

  • oh god... the big looping debate continues.....

There seems to be quite allot of players that seem to do ok with survivors looping.. There seems to be quite a bit of high rank killers...

Is it maybe not everyone is supposed to climb the ladder to the top? That there just might be better players out there?

  • Yeah not_queen did the voice for her. They also probably manipulated the audio recordings of it, cause it doesn't sound like her. They need to re-manipulate them.

  • It was listed as "use at your own risk" by the developers.

  • Yeah but that could also be any kobe right?.. Doesn't just have to be with the new perk.

  • Yeah not a huge fan of this change cause getting in those hits could be pretty funny. However just the more reason to force the pallet drop sooner.

  • I wouldn't be making that assumption after only a few hours of release. Takes time for people to adept to new killers and the such.

  • @Daddy_Doctor said:
Yes they did. With Curtain Call if bought with money you got an extra cosmetic for Kate, a white shirt I believe. They have said in streams that if you buy the dlc you get an extra cosmetic.

Oh yes.. fair enough.. maybe we will be lucky and get something cool with it. I was thinking about more flow blown cosmetics. That shirt for kate wasn't something hugely special to remember.

  • @Iceman said:
They have been doing that, it wouldn’t be anything new. That is why he is trying to confirm if that is the case with this chapter.

They have given away free stuff before.. plus stuff during events. However not for purchasing DLCs. Would be nice, but I doubt it.

  • whaaa.. why would they do that?.. You spend the money you get access right away.. if you have the shards then good... otherwise grind it out. Why would they be giving people extra stuff for buying it?

  • So it is a PILOT program... basically them testing things out... probably to expand at a later time. THERE ARE MANY STREAMERS WHO DIDN'T GET CHOSEN.

Wow though... your favourite streamer didn't get chosen... why the post? Really?.. Come on.

Allot of streamers that didn't get chosen, like Tru, got many codes for give away in their streams, and even exclusive cosmetics.

Maybe they actually want to spread the love around in the beginning to allow some of the more newer streamers get some of the love, rather then the same people over and over.

  • Don't forget he makes some good coin for streaming that game. Hard to have allot of sympathy for him.

  • However the reality is people can play the game as they wish and you shouldn't be telling people how to play.

If they aren't violating the rules set out by the Devs then everything everyone does in the match is fair game.

One of the reasons people get salty in this game is not understanding this fact. There is no unwritten rules on how people should play this game. Some choose to play how they would like to be played against. However don't expect everyone to do so, and you shouldn't get salty because of it.

An example is the one you mention. Although the new player may have taken the suggestion, you should not have expected another player to tell you to f off and get lost.

Another example would be the 4% rule where some survivors think if they get off the hook they should be granted some kind of mercy. Then when they aren't granted that mercy they get all salty in end game chat.

Allot of the disconnecting in matches we see are simply this. People feeling you should be playing the game THEIR way otherwise you are toxic and a bad player. When simply that player just wants to survive, or kill you for BP. Or simply just wants to end your match for you. Not everyone is playing this game to make it rainbows and sunshine for you.

Each side plays the way they want and that should be accepted.

As long as the player didn't cheat and violate the rules of the match, then it is a GG, not another reason to tell them how they should play against you.

  • Changing those files would get you banned.... if it wasn't bannable it would be easy to modify them and make your game easy mode.
